The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Smidge you're totally right. She a lovely person and I'm sure she just felt bad that a) she'd asked what I was doing and b) she was waving a newborn under my nose when I'm in the middle of IVF.
Jellie not too keen on the rear entrance but it's definitely less messy so I think I may alternate them.
Had call from FC this morning to say they are going for day 5 transfer on Monday. We've also now got a 6th embie who was a late starter but is now developing normally.
Hope everyone is ok. It's very quiet in here again!

Hi all! Hope everyone is ok?!

Jellie how's your 2ww going? Do you have a test date so we can all badger you to poas will you on?

Wild how is your 2ww going? Are you half way-ish? Fx for you both!

Happy great news and will be checking in for news after your et Monday.

Gill how did you get on after ringing the fx the other day? Did you get the go ahead for starting ASAP?

Nolly how you settling back into work after your hols?

I have a week off in a weeks time woohoo Grin but working constantly til then to be able to take time off!

Also I'm totally stressing over every twinge and whether or not I should have asked about progesterone. I'm trying to remain calm and not thinking of the outcome but, well it's not working!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Jelliebabe2 · 27/09/2014 15:40

Hey beaky don't stress! Can you call your clinic and ask on Monday?

Otd 6th October. I'll probably poas just before that though. Last time I only poas the night before ,( only cos I was starting to bleed and distresses) but was positive. So as otd is exactly 14 days from ec I will wait! Grin. No badgering required.

Right back to my knitting and watching funnny stuff on tv. Remembered last night laughter is sposed to help with implantation! Can't hurt right!?!?!?

WildflowerMarmalade · 27/09/2014 18:49

Hmmm, just had a very slight bit of a spotting. I'm not sure what to think.

I do always spot before AF anyway, I though progesterone would keep that from happening but apparently it doesn't always. Looking googling frantically at what has happened to other ladies suggests it could go either way.

I think it's best to just keep telling myself that this could mean anything and keep fingers crossed.

My parents are staying, so that's a good distraction.

beakybeak · 27/09/2014 22:59

Wild fx it's nothing, and bear in mind spotting happens to a lot of people who are pg anyway and it's not a problem. Hope you can distract yourself away from dr google anyway!

Jellie badger safely back in the den Grin the 6th will fly here! Fx for you. I'd say laughter is good for everything so get some comedy on!

greatbigbushybeard · 27/09/2014 23:26

Smuggling candles happy ha ha!! Definitely second the suggestion to up the back passage, much less messier than foofer, if foofer means fanny!! I did it once that way and was a total mess. Panty liners are your new best friend!!

V exciting with egg transfers etc coming up.

We r back in the saddle with our last cycle before next Ivf ( eek!) doing well so far, gotta keep it up next week. Stayed away from ov tests and grapefruit juice but had a cheeky swig of cough medicine to up the cm count!!

funkymonk · 28/09/2014 00:03

Hi Lovely Berries. I've been away from MN for a looooong time. How are we all? Lots to catch up on I see! Can we have a new list? I'll trawl back and try and find the most recent one. How many Berries are on 2WW post treatment then? Happy awaiting ET Monday? Gill due to start?

We had IVF funding appt yesterday and will have the planning appt 3rd Nov. May not be time to fit a cycle in before Mr Funk goes to NZ so we may look to delay the first cycle.

funkymonk · 28/09/2014 00:16

beakybeak · 28/09/2014 14:29

Funky! Welcome back Grin How are you doing? When does Mr F go? I've had iui last week so just into the 2ww now, so I'm chilling and being totally relaxed never off dr google and stressing like only a berry would understand

happylass · 28/09/2014 18:00

Great to see you back Funky. Good to hear things are moving for you on the IVF front. Are you going for short or long protocol? You may just manage to squeeze one in before hubby goes away. How long would you need to delay it for otherwise? I'll add my details to the list tomorrow otherwise they'll be out of date almost immediately!

OP posts:
WildflowerMarmalade · 28/09/2014 18:18

A very quick good luck for tomorrow to happy ! Will be thinking of you.

beakybeak · 28/09/2014 22:20

Happy good luck for et tomorrow, hope it goes well and will be checking in for news.

Smidge001 · 29/09/2014 03:17

Good luck happy

I have my blood test to see if I've ovulated and can start lucrin on 7th Oct. decided to use up some of my OPKs (the cb dual things), and did the first on Saturday. Got the required blank circle. Did the second on Sunday and got the top peak smiley face. V confused. In the past I've had the 'half way there, keep dtd forever' flashing thing that piles on the pressure for at least a week straight before getting the peak (by which time we seriously aren't in the mood). This time second day Confused. AND when I wasn't expecting ovulation until about the 6th - a week away yet! I was taking the OPKs just to be sure the blood test wasn't scheduled too soon, and now I'm worried it's too late. When will i learn to just sit back and blindly follow the doctor's orders, instead of second guessing and stressing about decisions?!

Maybe it doesn't matter when you start the lucrin and it doesn't need to be immediately after ovulation anyway she says clutching at straws

Any ideas? This will be my first long protocol.

beakybeak · 29/09/2014 08:30

Hmm Smidge that is confusing, I've had that before when I've started them later than intended. The non flashy smiley face means you will ovulate within the next 2 days doesn't it. Maybe ring your FC and ask if you need to start early?

Smidge001 · 29/09/2014 09:40

Yes beaky (though it seems the wrong way around to me) it's the static smiley that means I should ovulate within 2 days whereas the flashy one just means hump anyway, just in case those sperms linger...

lumen · 29/09/2014 11:13

Sorry berries I was in Wales visiting family for the weekend and the mobile reception is decidedly dodgy.

Best of luck today happy, let us know how you get on.

Don't know what to advise smidge. It sounds like our long protocol treatments are quite different.

Hope all on 2ww are surviving, not long to go.

AFM, started sniffing down reg drugs on Sat so we are off Grin

Didn't have the best start to the week though as ran for train, tripped and fell on platform Hmm ripped my tights, knee bleeding and stuff everywhere. Knee is still stinging over 5 hours later Confused

Hi to funky, glad to hear you are getting your appointments sorted.

will catch up on rest of thread later x

Smidge001 · 29/09/2014 13:27

Oh dear lumen hope your knee stops stinging soon. Dettol or TCP - stink the house out Smile (Not sure how that impacts the medically required sniffing!)

I did some googling and it suggests typical long down reg would start you on lucrin on day 21, with no mention of a blood test after ovulation, so maybe the blood test thing is fairly irrelevant - looks as if my timing to start the injections is roughly in line with std, so am feeling better about leaving it now.

bushy hope you're still enjoying shag week!

IamKuma · 29/09/2014 13:56

Happy - thinking of you today. I hope it's gone ok.

lumen · 29/09/2014 14:11

smidge it sounds like your lucrin injections are doing the same thing as my sniffing drugs as I started taking them on sat which was day 21

tigerdog · 29/09/2014 20:28

Hi everyone, back from a lovely and busy few days away, and knackered after a long day at work. It is officially the end of the summer of fun, sob. Away for Christmas though, so less than three months to count down until the next holiday!

I will be keeping everything crossed for all you lovely berries in the midst of treatment. This could be one hell of a cluster diff!

happy hope ET has gone well!

wild how are you doing? When are you testing?

beaky hope all has gone well with you! How far into the 2ww are you? Hope you are managing to distract yourself!

jellie how are things with you?

smidge it is hard not to read into everything, but it sounds as though the timing is all fine.

lumen boooo to falling over. Hope you're feeling ok. I too did this recently, stopped off to go to a shop in a rain shower, and slipped over just as I put my hand on the car door handle. Ripped trousers, bloody knee and very sore pride! OH didn't dare laugh, but he did say it had been hilarious as I just dissappeared from view. I burst into angry tears!

funky good to see you! Sounds like things are moving on for you, I hope that this is the stars aligning for you!

bushy hope shag week is proving enjoyable! Will be back on the bandwaggon here shortly!

Looking forward to an acupuncture session tomorrow, first one since July. Am also going to book a few treats, a massage and maybe a haircut, to distract from the planned detox and booze free October we'll see how long that lasts

beakybeak · 29/09/2014 20:32

Ah boo Lumen that sounds so painful. Hope you're feeling better tonight. Excellent that the sniffing has started, fx for you!

Smidge glad you found some clarity from dr google!

Tiger are you back from your trip? Also any decision on the job yet?

My boobs are super sore today but that's normal in a cycle for me Sad boo.

Hope everyone is good even though it's Monday!

beakybeak · 29/09/2014 20:34

Oops x post Tiger! Sounding very positive there Grin Good luck with booze free October, I hate giving up alcohol!

WildflowerMarmalade · 29/09/2014 22:40

Glad you got your lucrin dilemma sorted smidge - you end up a minor expert on all sorts of things with this TTC business.

How did it go today happy? Hopefully you are now PUPO.

Ref shag week frequency, our consultant said that every two days was quite adequate. The swimmers have to go through some sort of process in there before they can fertilise anything, that process takes a bit of time apparently. Hope that helps for those on duty this week! Grin

lumen and tiger good to see you back.

Are you keeping your head beaky? I have put all symptoms down to progesterone which has been a big help. Shame you don't have that sanity saver!

I haven't had any spotting since Saturday, which I'm pleased about as I would be going mad otherwise. I'll be testing at the weekend.

Smidge001 · 30/09/2014 00:50

V sensible wild re presuming symptoms are progesterone related at this stage - now that I've been there once I won't be letting myself get my hopes up so much next time eer yeah right, who am I kidding but, eeek!! So exciting too - the weekend's not far away now!!

tiger I love to have the next holiday planned as soon as possible. Where are you going at Christmas? Hot or cold? I'm planning to come back home to England, though finances aren't gonna stretch to hubby this time. Love Christmas in England. Got to hope I'll be upduffed by then though so we're not missing another opportunity! (I'll miss him anyway, of course Wink)
