The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Hurray to being PUPO jellie - your emby did you proud in the end.

Welcome back nolly - impressed with your political influence.

beaky very best of luck for tomorrow. Really no advice for you, but the procedure itself is fine so dont worry too much. I did feel tearful the days after the trigger, perhaps that is affecting you too. Be thinking of you tomorrow.

Smidge001 · 25/09/2014 00:05

Congratulations Jellie how exciting! I am sure 6 cell is better than 4, means it has heaps of energy Smile

kuma I sympathise with the stresses of dtd - that is definitely one major stress (and likely cause for an argument starting/ resentful feelings) taken out of the equation when doing IVF!

tiger good luck. I agree with jellie that you should take ttc out of the equation when making your decision. And completely disagree with whoever said that if there's doubt, there's no doubt. I think with any decision to do with change there is always doubt - coz there's never a right or wrong answer, bound to be pros and cons whichever way. Doesn't mean some of the best decisions we make leave us nervous at first!

Can sympathise with the spotting - I had over 10(!!) day of spotting this cycle - From now on I'm going to dismiss implantation bleeding out of existence so as to stop falling for the usual mind games my body likes to play on me.

Glad you had a nice doctor beaky, it really does make a massive difference doesn't it.

lumen · 25/09/2014 05:07

Best of luck today beaky, I was all over the place when stimming and after trigger, think it is to be expected with all those hormones!

IamKuma · 25/09/2014 09:40

Good luck beaky!

I started my herbal concoctions last night, one of them is like doing a shot of Jagermeister Grin

Tiger sorry the holiday shagfest didn't work, enjoy Oslo though.

Any news from Pip? I think she is also one of the September stabbers!

happylass · 25/09/2014 09:53

Good luck for today Beaky. Will be thinking of you. As lumen said all the hormones are bound to make you emotional. I cried all day last Friday then woke up Saturday at the other end of the spectrum- deleriously happy and couldn't stop giggling. Think I annoyed the hell out of DH!

Congrats on being PUPO Jellie.

Enjoy Oslo Tiger. Sounds amazing Envy

Jaegermeister sounds good Kuma. Has to be better than the bum bullets and HRT that I'm currently on!!

EC yesterday went well. We got 8 eggs. 1 of them was immature and 2 others didn't fertilise so we are currently at 5. Tbh I would be happier with a few more but we have to be grateful for what we have and keep everything crossed that things go smoothly. Can't remember a thing about the collection itself (those drugs are goooooood Grin) but today I feel like I've been repeatedly kicked in the stomach by a rather large horse!

Hope everyone has a good day. Those with appointments etc please keep us updated on developments. Have a good day all.

nolly3 · 25/09/2014 09:58

5 is plenty happy - as someone said earlier it only takes one. Do you know how many they will transfer?

GOod luck beaky keep us posted x

lumen · 25/09/2014 11:48

Well done happy, we had 5 fertilise right on our last IVF. I understand your wanting more as I was the same, but my FC were really pleased with the number. Keep us up to date on when your ET is and enjoy the bum bullet action!

Smidge001 · 25/09/2014 13:29

Good work happy. Will they try to take them to blastocyst stage, or will it depend on numbers over the coming days?

beakybeak · 25/09/2014 14:16

Thanks for the good lucks berries, specially selected swimmers now on board so all fingers crossed. Wild they've given me a pg test to use in 16 days but it's wierd and has a dropper! I'll know before that anyway because AF is never late and I always spot so trying to be balanced about stuff but it's hard.

Tiger Oslo sounds amazing! Hope you get your decision made soon but I do agree with Smidge that's saying about doubt being no doubt is rubbish. Sorry about AF turning up though, it never gets any easier does it.

Happy Brilliant news on your 5, are you getting 1 or 2 put back?

Kuma the jäger concoction sounds good! Not heard from Pip in a little while, hope she's getting on ok.

How's everyone else doing?

WildflowerMarmalade · 25/09/2014 14:27

Well done beaky for getting the little lads in there. You've done all the hard work now and can just sit back and relax, possibly while smoking a post-coital cigarette.

I'm slightly miffed they gave you an HPT as I didn't get one. What is the dropper for, do you have to suction up some of your pee?

happy good news on your eggs, 5 is a good number.

beakybeak · 25/09/2014 14:38

Haha yep Wild you piac and then suction it up and drop 3 drips into the test. She said, you'll know by then anyway as your period would have turned up if it doesn't work! I think I'd just use a superdrug cheapy first anyway, less hassle!

lumen · 25/09/2014 15:25

Do you have to take progesterone pessaries when you do iui?

WildflowerMarmalade · 25/09/2014 15:56

They do give you progesterone and I think most people have pessaries. I have been given progesterone gel which comes in disposable pipettes so you can squirt it in nice and high up! Blush Actually it is fine, not too messy and no real side effects.

lumen · 25/09/2014 16:07

That sounds good wild. I found that the prog kept my bleed away as it started the day after stopping the prog, but that isn't the case for everyone Hmm

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/09/2014 16:12

Lurking on the pouffe of possibility as I want to be here for the next cluster diff Grin

beakybeak · 25/09/2014 16:31

No progesterone here, not sure why not but they didn't even mention it Hmm I guess I'll have to eat yams.

greatbigbushybeard · 25/09/2014 21:14

Hmmm squirty bum bullets!!

Yams beaky? Should we all be eating more of them in general it just when Ivf-ing?

Well done happy, sure 5 is just dandy.

I had the weird pipette preg test too, was shit as it didn't give us a clear result. We waited a day later and used a first response which was much clearer.

Lol at the post coital cigarette for beaky!

Had a few jaegers on Friday kuma!!

tiger you sound like you have an awesome w/e lined up.

Soo glad it's Friday tomorrow. Think AF is about ready to F off so it'll be last chance saloon before next round of Ivf-eek. Can I man up enough to do shag shag shag? Would an every other say approah cover bases? Feel out of touch with it all tbh!!

IamKuma · 25/09/2014 22:01

bushy EOD is what I'm trying, it's hard work Shock. Especially tonight as DH hasn't even made it back from work yet and I've been up since 6 and want to go to sleep.

Hi Merk - for a moment I misread and thought you wanted to join the next cluster diff! Wink

Yams?! I've got a load of spare progesterone bum bullets left from my last IVF. They suggested I'd get gel next time though.

greatbigbushybeard · 25/09/2014 22:30

It bloody is, isn't it!! We start off all keen but then run out of steam, especially when tired. I hate it when dh comes to bed late when trying to dtd as I just want to sleep!! Think will have to be more mercenary and seduce the dh earlier in evening!! Would you say end after Af has gone. I have no idea when I will ov and want to avoid ov sticks etc so think will just try to dtd regularly and at least that'll help.

Bum bullets eh, brings back some memories!!

IamKuma · 25/09/2014 22:34

I started after AF had gone and will keep it up as long as I can. I don't use sticks any more but I can usually tell when ov is from my temps. I've read it's good to DTD after ov too, something to do with the cervix I think. Good luck with it!

beakybeak · 25/09/2014 23:19

The yams thing is just shizzle really, it was on the second sex & the city film Grin

bushy every 2/3 should be fine, maybe try to do 1/2 when you get any ewcm? It's knackering doing it all the time though.

I'm wondering if I should have asked about progesterone now. Stress stress and more Confused Dr Google is very American on the whole iui subject too.

happylass · 26/09/2014 14:40

Arrrrgh popped in to town earlier cos I'm climbing the walls here and the very first person I bumped in to was a colleague with her newborn. I was actually fine about it but she obviously asked why I wasn't in work and so (because I'm a rubbish liar) I just told her about the IVF. She looked mortified and couldn't get away from me fast enough. I really didn't mean to make her feel uncomfortable but I also believe fertility treatment needs to be acknowledged. Oh well.....

Also why did no one warn me about the Cyclogest!?! I'm leaving a waxy trail wherever I go! Feel like I'm smuggling candles Shock

Hope those of you in the 2ww are hanging in there. Hope to be joining you shortly.

. Assuming you've come to witness the clusterdiff rather than join in? Wink

OP posts:
Smidge001 · 26/09/2014 15:00

Oh dear happy. I suspect in fact your colleague just thought that she would be making you feel uncomfortable, rather than vice versa. Totally right that you should explain why though. And I bet by the time she got home she wished he hadn't scarpered so soon. Keep spreading the news I say, then eventually it will stop being an awkward conversation out there amongst the instadiffers. Probably be good for them to know how lucky they are anyway!

As for smuggling candles, ha ha Grin. I actually took crinone gel, and the gross after effects of that aren't any better. Papier mâché Envy (green face meant to indicate 'bleurgh' rather than envy!)

Like lumen I found the progesterone kept my usual pre-flow-spotting away for a few days longer than normal.

Jelliebabe2 · 26/09/2014 23:08

Happy! Smuggling candles! Lol try pantiliners and I carry fem wipes. If it really bothers you you can back door them. I do alternate as too many in the floofer makes floofer unhappy!

YAM! I wouldn't want to try inserting one of those. Shock

Smidge001 · 26/09/2014 23:15

Ha ha!!
