The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Evening all.

Jellie it does only take one, and this is your little one. Fingers crossed for you.

beaky how is your stabbing going?

happy is your EC tomorrow? Sending positive vibes your way.

bushy hope your sore throat hasn't lingered. I too get the busy mind going round and round at night. I'm not a great sleeper either.

At the moment I'm agonising about this job....final decision tomorrow as need to let them know. Still feeling torn. Job will be great but I just worry that it is an unnecessary complication to up sticks and potentially be apart from OH (and my pooch) whilst we get sorted.

tigerdog · 23/09/2014 21:49

X post beaky. No! When I left the office today I was thinking that I would go for it but I feel less sure right now....

beakybeak · 23/09/2014 22:15

Oo I've been thinking of you and wondering. What does your oh think?

beakybeak · 23/09/2014 22:17

Oh and stabbing is going fine thanks Tiger in for another scan tomorrow am then hopefully the follie will be big enough to have the treatment thurs/fri, otherwise I'll miss the cycle and have to do regular shagging! My FC are closed over the weekend.

WildflowerMarmalade · 23/09/2014 22:22

jellie don't be downhearted. That is still a positive outcome and with any luck you will have a big fat positive outcome very soon. Good luck for EC, I'll be thinking if you tomorrow.

tiger do you think you will get to a point where you know in your gut which option you really want. In these situations I generally remind myself that there is no right or wrong choice, just different scenarios which could be equally good.

beaky any indication of your trigger timing?

CoQ10 must be some kind of wonder drug, I'm sure it has helped with my energy levels.

beakybeak · 23/09/2014 22:32

Oo yes Wild excellent advice to tiger there. Tiger what is your gut saying?

Wild I should find out at my scan in the morning but hopefully the procedure will be thurs or fri. I'm a little bit disappointed with the rate or growth and follie activity tbh, I usually ovulate between days 11 and 13 so it seems as though the eggs, if any, may be too immature bearing in mind I've had gonal f this cycle too. Hmm watch out dr google, I'm on the way!

tigerdog · 23/09/2014 22:51

I really want the job but I am worried about making our lives difficult by pursuing it. OH is uncertain, last night he was very much 'take it and we'll make it work' but he wavers too. If he also had a job to go to then he would be happy to make the move but he is worried about that taking a long time.

wild I think career-wise the job is the right choice. It may be a sacrifice to far in terms of personal life...I don't know about gut feeling but someone said to me today: if there's doubt then there's no doubt.

beakybeak · 23/09/2014 23:16

Hmm tiger I think there will always be doubt about either choice with anything. How will you feel in 6 months if you don't take it and still aren't preggo (I really hope that you are diffed ASAP, obv). I understand your dh's worries too esp job wise, but if ttc was taken out of the mix would you both go for it?

beakybeak · 23/09/2014 23:17

Also, things always work out Smile

Gillster · 23/09/2014 23:32

Just popping in to wish Jelli good luck for ET and Happy good luck for EC tomorrow.

Go embie! and Go eggies! Respectively.

Hello Bear and welcome.

Glad the stabbing is progressing well Beaky.

AFM, AF has tipped up today yay! Never thought I'd say that but means it will be good to go for the hysteroscopy on 6th Oct. Although I was massively disappointed to be injecting for 7 weeks only to have the cycle cancelled 2 days before transfer, if things had progressed I'd have had my 2WW in the busiest 2 weeks of my work calendar so in hindsight it was probably the best thing all round.

Going to call the FC tomorrow to see if I can start stabbing on day 21 as my op will be day 14. This will then mean the shortest time possible between the op and the FET therefore minimising the time for me to develop polyps. Wish me luck, it's going to take some explaining on the phone!

lumen · 24/09/2014 06:00

Good luck with ET jellie

Good luck with EC happy

Good luck with your scan beaky and with your phone call gill

So much going on here at the moment! Thinking if you all ladies, let us know how you get on xxx

WildflowerMarmalade · 24/09/2014 07:46

FX for you today Jellie - as Lumen said by the end of today you will be PUPO.

beaky let us know how the scan goes and FX for a Thursday/ Friday procedure. FCs should not be allowed to close at weekends, in my opinion. Worrying about the follicles maturing goes with the territory I reckon. My follies grew really quickly and then suddenly slowed down on cycle day 10 and I was convinced that they weren't mature. It's just the TTC crazy.

Tiger - you are obviously a smart cookie and you will make the right decision for you. Tell us once it's done.

Gill Woohoo to your news. I'm so glad you are making progress and will get the lap out if the way soon and then straight on to FET and BFP. Just chant 'Lap, FET, BFP, Lap, FET, BFP!' over the phone to the clinic and they will straightaway understand what you mean. That's my advice to you. Good luck.

WildflowerMarmalade · 24/09/2014 07:49

Oops, sorry Gill I've just seen that you are having a hysteroscopy not a lap. It's much, much harder to chant 'hysteroscopy' so I don't know what to advise.

lumen · 24/09/2014 08:26

Thx for making me chuckle wild, I want to hear the chant with the correct words Wink

Smidge001 · 24/09/2014 08:53

Hope the phone call goes well Gill. I reckon they'll understand (well, as long as your doc doesn't have a useless receptionist like mine seems to) - the doctor will for sure. I was so desperate to make sure my lap won't impact my chance to do IVF again before Christmas, and was on the edge of my seat willing her to say we could start the following month, but in fact she came back and said I could start stabbing even before the lap itself, so that the IVF is the first month following the procedure (apparently this is when most likely to work... FX bigtime!). I'm sure you'll be able to start on day 21, as you say it will reduce the time for any polyps to come back.

What does taking aspirin do? I have been told quite categorically that I mustn't take aspirin or ibuprofen while on the stabby drugs. It's highlighted on all my forms and the nurses remind me at every juncture. I'm not stabbing yet so presumably could take it now, but I had no idea it might help with ttc?

Smidge001 · 24/09/2014 09:12

Meant to say the aspirin question was aimed at jellie. As well as the CoQ10 I'm taking a Centrum pre-preg multi-vit which I stocked up on when last in England (as the pills over here are MAHOOSIVE! They look like horse tablets Shock).

What's considered 'double dose' folic? The centrum has 400 (already 200% of RDA), but DrAliG has told me to take at least 500, (in fact the brand over here that I'll take when these run out (Elevit) contains 800!)

nolly3 · 24/09/2014 09:26

hallo everyone, I am back after a lovely holiday cycling round hebrides. I take full credit for No vote by spending ridiculous amounts of money on cakes and delicious smoked salmon.

AF arrived on last day which was a bit of a downer (also cycle of 26 days which is weird, given I'm usually more like 32) but having a 2ww without constant knicker checking was really nice for a change. QUite like the old days.

Lots going on in here! Good luck to all you stabbers and Pupos! Really sorry about your stupid clinic, gil, what a massive pain. Happy belated birthday wild, your university challenge thing made me chuckle. love Paxman.

tiger I had the exact same job situation in Jan - in the end I thought I'd rather have the distraction of something new to think about rather than same old post with no baby. Plus it was better for my career.

Hi to bear too

lumen · 24/09/2014 10:50

nolly good to have you back and hear that your political influence knows no bounds Wink

Jelliebabe2 · 24/09/2014 15:34

Hi everyone!

Tiger ,- good luck with making your decision. If you weren't ttc would you take it?

Gill - good luck with planning the treatment! It seems like a lot to squeeze in! Love the chant though, I do fear the clinic might think you are cracked if you use it.

Hi wild , lumen and nolly!

Smidge I took 75 mg of aspirin to increase blood flow to the ovaries. Double folic acid - not sure of the exact dose but my pack says 1 a day, I take two as I read if you are large you should! Who knows if it does owt thigh!

I AM PUPO. One excellent embryo on board! The embryologist seemed very pleased with it. She graded it B however as it was 6 cells and not 4. Obviously the lady didn't recognise a genius when she sees it! ;D. Hooray this day has been a long time coming! ;D

Otd 6th October! Just going to listen to !y Zita west post transfer track and then I have acupuncture later! Eeeep. Grin

lumen · 24/09/2014 15:44

Congrats jellie Grin

nolly3 · 24/09/2014 19:17

congrtas jellie!

you know me, lumen. it's all grist to my manifesto mill.

IamKuma · 24/09/2014 20:00

Hello Berries - thought I'd pop on and say hello.

I've had a pretty Meh week since the IVF was cancelled and have tried to keep away from the internet as I feel like my chances to be in the September clusterdiff have been snatched away from me. I would have been having EC this week too if they hadn't have messed up Angry. My lovely acu lady thinks there is a silver lining and that my temp charts look better since the polypectomy so I should be able to get pg naturally. I will try and hold on to that positive thought. I've also been prescribed Vitex Agnus Casti and also an FSH lowering concoction, so I guess I have fully embraced traditional medicine. Expensive, but cheaper than a round of IVF.... In any event, the therapeutic value of spending an hour with somebody who is interested in helping you and genuinely concerned is very refreshing.

This month is actually the first month of actively TTC for a while as I had IVF in June, then tried not to think about TTC the month after, then the last two I was banned due to the 3DSIS and then the hysterscopy. I am feeling a bit under pressure, again and it has reminded me how stressful it can be trying to DTD enough. I've also been feeling a bit down having read a book about pregnancy and motherhood, where all of the 31 or people interviewed bar one had no problem conceiving, whether young, old, trying or not trying. Two people who thought they struggled only spent up to 6 months trying.

Enough about me, though and working thorough the posts (with two windows open!):

smidge as Wild mentioned, I've been singing the praises of Coq10 - I was told to take it by my FC, read about it in 'It Starts With The Egg' by Rebecca Fett and have also been encouraged to keep taking it by my acu lady. I think the science behind it makes sense; taking it also makes me feel more energetic! I've also taken DHEA, it made my skin quite bad, but didn't have any other noticeable side effects. My FC told me to take it, but after the first round of IVF, she didn't seem so keen that I continue. My acu lady doesn't like it!

Jellie It does only take one and it looks like you've good a good one!

Bear Welcome - on CoQ10 - I recommend the Holland and Barratt penny sale, the stuff is rather pricey!

Gill good to hear AF is on her way and I hope you can get on with your next FET soon.

Hello to the rest!

beakybeak · 24/09/2014 20:11

Gill how did you get on ringing the clinic? Sounds like a great plan if you can get it agreed. wilds chant is ace, hope you managed it! Grin

Eek Jellie congrats on being PUPO! We need some bfps round here! All fingers crossed for you.

Welcome back Nolly! I thought you must've had a hand in the ref result Grin glad you had a lovely holiday.

lumen when do you start downregging?

My scan was good, had a lovely doctor today, she took time and explained things which was nice! My "comfy bed" as she called it is 9.1mm and I have a 17mm, 15mm and 14mm follicles so they gave me the trigger there and I am in tomorrow for the procedure. She did warn me that there is chance of multiples because of the 3 follies but id be amazed as the success rate for 1 is so low to start with. Any tips for the treatment Wild? Are you still feeling ok?

I dunno if it's the drugs or what but I am all over the place mood wise Confused quite weepy and feeling out of sorts. I am no good at this!

beakybeak · 24/09/2014 20:16

Sorry Kuma x post. Definitely sounds like a meh time, but your acu lady's comments sound very promising! Hopefully the expensive alternatives will work ASAP. I definitely haven't missed the pressure of dtd this month!

tigerdog · 24/09/2014 22:43

beaky so glad the timing is all working out for you! Good luck for tomorrow.

Congratulations jellie on being PUPO. Will be cheering on your embie all the way!

Glad to hear you had a great holiday nolly. Still thrashing out the decision about the big move.

kuma sorry to hear you're feeling low. Ttc pressure to dtd is rubbish, but good news on the improved temps.

Af has finally arrived here after an unusual 5 days of spotting and a slightly shorter cycle. always extra dissappointing after a holiday shagfest. Wondered whether it was implantation but nope, just my cycle messing with my head.

Still, half day tomorrow then London for a night out and then off to Oslo for a long weekend! The last trip of the summer of fun! Then it's detox all the way!
