The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

When do you start them pip, not quite sure those dates work but you could get twins and them be premmies?

Pipbin · 28/08/2014 22:10

Well my next day one is due on Thursday. I have just put the dates into a due date calculator and if I had managed it by nature this cycle then the due date would be the 15th of May .........................

As for the IVF, day one is the 4th of Sept, then injections start on day 21 (25th Sept) then about 4 weeks from that until embryo transfer. So the IVF dates don't work out.

Pipbin · 28/08/2014 22:11

Lumen Looks like we will be IVFing at around the same time. My day one is due next Thursday.

lumen · 29/08/2014 06:21

Yes pip but sounds like you are on short protocol?

GnomieGrace · 29/08/2014 07:06

Morning berries sorry I dropped off the radar was very bummed out by yet another BFN! So spoke to DH and shock he was set against getting any intervention! Massive row ensued and eventually he agreed to me making an appointment with the doctors for 9th Sept, but.... Since the. I have had cramps 24/7 no AF and have been really hormonal! So I just took another test and BFP! I can't believe it! Calculated my due date as may 4th! Grin

tigerdog · 29/08/2014 07:17

Congratulations grace! Mothers intuition was right! I was very surprised when you had a bfn as it all sounded so right.

pip that's a lovely dream. The exact details aren't important. Just hold on to that feeling of your little girl in your arms. I will be keeping everything crossed for you this cycle.

Sorry but I need to have a whinge! Does anyone else suffer from af pains so badly that they have at least one sleepless night each month?! Have been awake and in pain almost all night and sorry for tmi, but several trips to the loo, upset stomach, ibuprofen not working and max strength tampon changes only an hour apart and passing large clots. This happens every month these days and it just doesn't seem normal. No medical reason found though. I am completely gluten free and also caffiene free most of the time. Could do with cutting back on sugar/alcohol at the moment but have given myself the summer off on that front having previously been pretty good. Acupuncture has not had an impact. Lap ruled out endo. Any ideas berries?

ladybunnikins · 29/08/2014 07:39

Tiger I was going to say endo until I saw the last line of your message! My periods are usually heavy with clots and I use long night-time sanitary towels rather than tampons but I don't suffer with pain usually, just need one dose of ibuprofen.
Congratulations, Grace! Did you have a previous MC? Fingers crossed for this one.
Pip I hope this one works for you. Have the FC suggested any changes to the protocol?

beakybeak · 29/08/2014 07:53

Pip that is a lovely dream! You never know! Fx for this round for you.

Grace congratulations! That's great news.

tiger that sounds horrendous, I also am kept up at least the first night with awful cramps and find my periods are very heavy and clotty too. I have no idea if it's not endo what it is. My acu lady says the Chinese diagnosis for this is blood stagnation (which can be our version of endo!) but you've been having acu for a while already. Sorry I can't help but offering lots of Brew Cake and sympathy.
Are you getting another love sponge this weekend?

Happy Friday everyone! It's our wedding anniversary so have a nice weekend planned Smile

Pipbin · 29/08/2014 08:40

Long protocol for me Lumen. Have you done it before?

Slight changes this time as both other times I have started bleeding just 10 days after transfer. I'm having an extra injection, don't remember what it is and aspirin after transfer.

nolly3 · 29/08/2014 09:12

pip and beaky glad you're having moments of faith, day dreaming or dreaming.

congrats grace hope all goes well.

Your hol sounds nice rain. are you going to GP or FC for your endo discussion?

Thanks tiger it's the uncertainty - def. If I knew it was a month, 6 months, a year away then I could just relax and enjoy my weeks of gin and exercise. ah well. beaky thanks for reminding me of all the natural BFPS. I went back and looked, and you're right, about half of us wait a while and then it happens. Fingers x.

I get painful af like that but only once in every 2-3, tiger - not every time. just started using feminax. as seems stronger. did you talk to your FC about it?

loving the ovulation eyes chat. Thought it was just me. V bad when ovulation co-incides with conferences for work. Can't concentrate on a thing.

Sorry you're still bleeding bushy. are you getting looked after well by the mc unit?hope it's over soon for you.

nolly3 · 29/08/2014 09:13

ooh and happy wedding anniversary beaky! hope you have a lovely weekend!

RevoltingPeasant · 29/08/2014 09:20

Grace congrats Grin come and join the copter when you feel ready!

lumen · 29/08/2014 10:20

Great news grace, congrats!

Happy anniversary beaky and MrB

I am long protocol too pip so sounds like we might be cycling together. This is my second time. I think I will be following my last drug protocol but with a higher level of stimming to try and get more eggs. So I will start sniffing Synarel on day21, then injecting with GonalF after three weeks. If AF shows up next week as scheduled I think my EC/ET will be in the last week of Oct. My FC have quite rigid timelines that you have to follow for each cycle.

happylass · 29/08/2014 10:23

Twice Ive typed a long post and twice this stupid phone has lost it!!
Congrats Grace. I've been busy getting hitched and honeymooning lately so don't think we've met.
Welcome back otters. Was getting quite worried about you! How was the wedding/honeymoon? Pics??
Great to see you back Pip. So that's you, me, lumen, gil, Kuma and sparechange all IVF ing shortly. Fx for a bumper crop of BFPs in Berry HQ!!

grace congratulations, lovely news!!!

GnomieGrace · 29/08/2014 12:38

Thanks ladies DH wants us to keep quiet and for me to test again tomorrow as I think roller coaster week got to him!
Lady yes I had a MC in April but was only just pregnant so very early term. I am keen to go through that again without both parents support so I want to tell just them early like now just in case.
Tiger I would get horrific night pains on the first night, I would have to take codiene or I couldn't get an ounce of sleep, I have heard acupuncture does wonders but I am so scared of needles I couldn't do it!
Beaky I hope you have a great wedding anniversary weekend!
Pip and Lumen fingers crossed on the ivf.

lumen · 29/08/2014 13:47

happy we will have to aim for an IVF clusterdiff to go with the natural one that is happily going on at the moment. Lovely to see other berries having BFPs as we all know how very wanted they are.

TheRainDrops · 29/08/2014 17:14

nols it was supposed to be GP as we're not back at the FC till end of December but the receptionist had booked me in to see the bloody locum so I wasted a morning. Didn't bother seeing her, I don't like re-hashing the history with a GP I'll probably never see again and who won't authorise anything out of the ordinary anyway. So annoying.

beaky happy anniversary! What are you getting up to?

happy I don't think I've spoken to you since you got back from HM - how was Santorini? Hope you're settling in to married life!!

Keeping everything crossed for our current IVFers - I am hoping to see some BFPs when i get back from Mauritius!!

Congrats grace - hopefully this one is your sticky one!

PS: r.e. Ovulation eyes, some months I find I don't really get them but other months I'm eyeing up every bit of man candy around. This is one of those months - last day we were in Jersey there were 2!!! rugby teams both gallivanting in the sea in their little shorts. MrP had to fetch me an ice-cream to regain my attention. Wink

happylass · 29/08/2014 17:55

Rain I'm still in Santorini. It's amazing!! Don't fly out til 10pm tomorrow so got almost another day yet. Hope everyone is well. Will catch up properly when I'm back.

Happy anniversary beaky enjoy your nice plans + congratulations Grace! Good work there.

Never heard the term 'ovulation eyes' but I know exactly what it means!

Pip and lumen looking forward to your IVF cycles getting underway. Out if interest will either of you have any steroids in your treatment?

tiger those AF cramps sound awful. Feminax is definitely stronger as I had a weird out of body type experience on them once. I've never taken it since. But of course what you really want is to find out what's causing it. Ignorant question; is a lap a definitive diagnosis for endo?

I'm glad to see we've mostly moved out of the grumpy corner and onto dreams and visions. After a pregnancy/ baby dream I'm always torn between hope and optimism and sadness and worry. So no change there then!

Happy savour your last day of honeymoon.

lumen · 29/08/2014 19:58

No steroids for me wild, what would that be for? Conceiving a weight-lifting baby? Grin

WildflowerMarmalade · 29/08/2014 20:47

lumen Grin Grin at weightlifting baby. That would be ace. Like a USSR weightlifting champion with a big scowl.

Steroids are given for immune issues, which I think is probably our problem. Only a few places do it and other clinics say it's nonsense. But I'd like to know more about them that's why I was asking.

Jelliebabe2 · 29/08/2014 21:18

Well hi everyone!

Pip - Wow so close to starting again! What a fab dream. Write it down in case you forget! Amazing. I'm going to try to start visualising myself with a baby after reading this it can't hurt. I know it's a bit woo but I don't care!

Bushy - sorry it's dragging out for so long for you, it really isn't helping at all. Try raspberry leaf tea I've heard that can help. Hugs

Grace! Congratulations. Wooooooo bfp!

Tiger - I don't get pain like that but boy do I bleed sometimes I wake up needing to change tampon AND nighttime Towel sometimes.... Yik. Hope you find something that helps

Beaky ,- happy wedding anniversary? Hope you're out having fun together! Grin

Nolly - I completely agree about the timeframe thing. If I just knew it would happen this year, next, the year after you could kind of relax.... Or I'd rather know now if it's not going to happen at all....

Otters - hello!

AFM - on day 19 of treatment. I've stayed taking the cyclogest now as well as the oestrogen. I'm having a bit of bleeding every morning which is annoying. Hopeful that Cyril the cyst is on his way out. I think I'm quite relaxed now about it. If he's still there well I'll just have to go on the pill and start that way. Another wait but hey ho.

More important tonight is my last Friday of my 30s... Gasp! I'm 40 on Tuesday. I'm working Monday and Tuesday and have taken the rest of the week off to get over it! I think we're going out for dinner to a new restaurant in Marlow on Tuesday, then on Saturday I'm having a surprise party! Shhhhh don't tell anyone I know! Ha! Oh is a duffer but I love him ooodles at least I have bought a new frock, will do nails , get hair practice surprised face!Shock. Lol

greatbigbushybeard · 30/08/2014 00:22

Lol at jellie's Shock face!! Happy birthday!!

Feeling a bit 'meh' at moment. Getting the planning done for school is a bit of a struggle, seem to get mired in the research and ideas, find myself going back and forwards for ages, then panicking as haven't got anything done!! Didn't really do anything tonight apart from Cook tea, sit on sofa with nagging feeling of other things to do, so not really committing to the tv watching either ( celebrity big brother!!) but too lazy and unmotivated to get up and do something. Dh is quite happy lolling about all night. Did the washing up like a good girl in the end!

Hmmm, maybe with the baby dreams etc and the thing about being ok if it's going to happen, we should try to go along with the it's going to happen school of thought and relax. Maybe that sort of positive thinking will enable our bodies and minds to feel better and who knows what'll happen.

Sounds a terrible thing to say but went round friend's house earlier to give her a birthday present and her kids really put me off. I came away thinking why am I so desperate to have kids! The 6 yr old was being really loud and annoying, showing off and trying to unwrap the present and open the card- neither if which was for him. The 4 yr old was whinging because people had come in and he couldn't see the telly. Then they started arguing over the wrapping paper. I got back to my house and thought maybe our quiet little life isn't so bad. My friend finds it hard and suffers with PND and it scares me in case that would happen to me. We're both quite similar in that we're v critical of ourselves and big worriers so it does bring it home to me.
I said to my dh and he said well we're not going to have 3!! I suppose we romanticise having kids and sometimes I really worry that I'm actually going to be ineffectual at it or dislike it. Well, I suppose kids are bloody annoying and that's what we'll have to remind ourselves about when we have our berry brood Wink

Love the holiday talk. happy how lovely to be in santorini.

Have been chugging the raspberry leaf tea. Off the booze as on strong antibiotics to avoid infection. They are giving me the runs something chronic though Shock back to hospital next Friday so hopefully will all be gone. Think part of my 'meh ness' is the fact that we haven't had any sex for over a month!! Well, dh suggested that!! Could have a point! Looking forward to getting back in the swing of things and trying. I think not being able to try is quite depressing; however trying can also be- what a catch 22!!

Pipbin · 30/08/2014 00:26

I do often feel the same Beard. I know that if this cycle doesn't work then DH and I can draw a line under it all and carry on enjoying life.
Sometimes I see people with children and wonder why I want that.
