Hello,

Was just wondering whether anybody has had a similar experience?

When trying for first child got pregnant the first month, however that ended in MC. Luckily I got pregnant again with DD after first month of trying again.

DD is now three, we would have started TTC sooner but I went back I Uni and I'm due to finish in November.

We have been trying for 5 months and no luck, worried that I've left it too late as I'm now 37.

Sad

How rubbish love! Surely they could just have given you a test rather than such a ridiculous suggestion as to not worry about it for a week. Has your doctor never met a woman ttc?! Grrr for you. I know what you're saying about the money wasted on tests though. Tough call, but if it was me I wouldn't be able to resist.

So, I'm crampy and peeing all the time. And no tests anywhere so I just have to put up with my brain working overdrive (its already worked out when a 12 week scan would be and approx due date of my non-pregnancy). Very frustrating!!

lovemyboy247 · 29/11/2014 09:30

Little- I have been working out due dates and everything. Starting to think I have lost plot. Im waiting to see if the nuasia continues before testing again as I could be bringing it on myself I suppose. I just cant believe the last test still said negative. I thought doc would be more undertanding as when ttc ds I had ov cyst which went on own accord then day after finding out it had gone I got my bfp.i also had a emergency c section with ds. Im bit nervous as it could be another cyst.dont think it explains nuasious feeling though.
Little- Sounds like you having all the right symptoms what dpo are you now?

Treesandbees · 29/11/2014 10:09

Love - you are a lot stronger willed than I am! I would have marched to the next pharmacy after the Doc didnt help!! Little - when are you going to poas next?? I am really sad and work out due date every month. It is my way of torturing myself more!!

Dont know whats going on here...I think another anovultary cycle as I am cd23. EWCM for past 6 days (normally 3 days), peak on CBFM on cd19 but negative opks and no temp shift. DS is really poorly (think ear infection) and hasnt slept for 3 nights so we havent DTD since cd20. Why is it so confusing?? And had a row with DH (both over tired) so things are nto great today! Repeat bloods on Mon and ultrasound on Tues so I guess that will give me some answers (blooming well hope so!).

LittlePoot · 29/11/2014 15:59

Hmph. All interesting symptoms gone and back to normal pmt. At least I haven't wasted all my money on testing this month. Back to the drawing board I guess.

GingerbreadHead · 29/11/2014 20:33

Hi everyone.
lovemy sorry you are still not getting any answers. I guess just keep POAS and hopefully you will get a nice strong bfp soon!

Little how many dpo are you? Have you been for your spa day? How was it?

trees that all sounds utterly shit you poor thing. When it rains it really pours sometimes! Hope your little DS gets better, and you and DH manage a good nights sleep, with a little bit of extra thrown in too Wink Is there a chance you might have missed the ov window on the opks? Good luck for the ultrasound, that's exciting!

metal I am so so happy for you that BUPA are willing to contribute to the fees and your op is going to go ahead! After everything you have been through this past year you absolutely deserve it. I hope it goes ok for you, is it tuesday you are having it done? What cd will it be? Have they said whether you can get straight back to ttc-ing after it?

loves I'm so sorry you are feeling down about it all. It definitely comes in waves, you think you are coping ok but then wham the overwhelming sadness just hits you. I am still confident you will get your bfp though, you too Bobsy. I know it seems like it might it never happen but if all the tests are coming back clear and you already have one child then the chances are very good for you, it's just going to take some time, which is a crap thing to have to go through Angry
I hope in the meantime you are stocked up on some lovely festive treats!!
Bobsy have you booked that Drs appointment yet or are you going to take a bit of a break? I agree that a one month break could do you the world of good. It's better at this stage than just giving up completely?

Metalhead · 29/11/2014 21:57

Sorry your GP wasn't any help lovemy. Good luck if you poas again tomorrow, I know I would...

That's rubbish about your symptoms little! When is AF due for you?

trees I hope your DS get better soon and you haven't missed the egg yet. I've had a cycle where I had ewcm for nearly a week before I finally ov'd so you might still be in with a chance.

Thanks ginger, yes it is Tuesday I'm having the op. I will have a coil put in and be on estrogen and progesterone supplements for about 4-6 weeks, but after that we should be good to go again. I'm actually quite looking forward to having and enforced break from ttc over Xmas and New Year! Hope you and your little bean are doing well, how far along are you now?

lovemyboy247 · 30/11/2014 22:18

Just an update af turned up yjis morning at day 40 of cycle 20dpo. Thst was an extra long cycle.
Metal- hope tues goes ok. X
Little- how close are you to poas?

LittlePoot · 30/11/2014 22:46

Oh no -Sorry love. I really thought it was your month. Then again, I also thought it was my month but I'm definitely due on -probably in the morning. Might even manage to resist peeing on any sticks (although unlikely!). But very definitely af symptoms now. Boo! Fingers crossed for some Christmas bfps instead then.

lovesmycake · 01/12/2014 07:37

Oh sorry lovesmy I too thought I would log in this morning and see some more bfp's :(

little fx for you that you are wrong about af signs.

I guess santa is just saving a little sack of bfp's for us all for christmas :) though how happy he is about carting around a bag of pissy sticks is anyone's guess. Seeing as him and Mrs Claus don't have any children maybe they have been through this themselves and are very understanding !!

Now I have the mental picture of Mrs Claus waving of santa on christmas eve shouting 'don't forget the ladies bfp's santa they have all been very good this year' Confused

lovesmycake · 01/12/2014 07:42

Ooh and we are going to need a new thread title soon ginger what was that thing you said upthread, I thought it was v funny - something like

'I went on a caribbean cruise, relaxed and re-centered myself and still got no BFP ....'

lovemyboy247 · 01/12/2014 10:49

Little- fx fir you too.
I agree little kets hope santa can bring some bfps.
Im going to enjoy christmas now and if happens it happen. Got my bestie over from new zealand for xmas and new year so she is happy we can have a few vinos. Xx

BobsyBoo · 01/12/2014 23:09

Well I've just been lurking in the background for a few days not wanting to post because of how miserable & fed up I've been. It's been so long now I can't see that it's going to happen but I just can't bring myself to give up. Anyway as if I haven't been through enough had bad news on Friday so something else for me & OH to deal with.

Metal hope everything goes well for you tomorrow & you recover well from the op. I bet the break from the stress of TTC will be great until your good to go again Flowers

Little good luck, I'm sure Ginger said she felt like AF was on the way but then got her BFP.

Lovemy sorry AF turned up, it's rubbish isn't it.

Let's hope Santa is very kind to us & gives us our much wanted BFP''s for Christmas this year, we all more than deserve it.

lovesmycake · 02/12/2014 07:51

bobsy thinking of you Flowers

lovemyboy247 · 02/12/2014 09:12

Bobsy- try to keep smiling hun.
Metal- good luck with op.
little- any news?
has anyone ecperienced a 2 day af then nothing but strong cramps low left hand side. My body is weird. X

LittlePoot · 02/12/2014 10:03

Good luck today Metal -hope it's not too horrible.

No good news here - have been looking at IVF clinics and 0% interest credit cards.....

GingerbreadHead · 02/12/2014 10:52

Good luck today metal Hope it goes ok for you x.

loves ha yeh it was something like that!! I think you should start the new thread with that! Wouldn't it be wonderful if Santa could bring you all your positive sticks without you even having to try this month! Just sit back with your feet up for a few weeks, then bam you are pregnant by christmas morning Grin

Sorry for the bfn lovemy that does sound like a bit of a weird AF, maybe implantation?

Bobsy Flowers and Brew for you. Thinking of you lovely, hope you are managing to get into the festive spirit, think what a lovely time you will have with DD. maybe take the month off over christmas and go into the new year with a fresh perspective.

Little did AF arrive? Bobsys right, I did feel like AF was arriving, thought she was going to be a few days early, but not so.

I'm feeling a bit guilty this morning, poor DD has been sat in front of the telly all morning as I am feeling too rough to do anything. She's loving it though of course! I'm still terrified this isn't going to be a sticky bean. I joined the due in July thread but haven't been back for a while as I found myself getting too caught up in all the pg chit chat and I just don't want to get my hopes up too much yet Confused The worry and anxiety doesn't even stop with a bfp!

lovesmycake · 02/12/2014 11:00

metal good luck for today :)

Metalhead · 02/12/2014 17:34

Thanks everyone, everything went well with the op and I got back home around 3pm. The results were a bit of a surprise however: turns out I didn't have any adhesions after all! The obstruction that the consultant saw on the ultrasound was just some sort of bulge in the cervical canal, but he said everything looked fine in there, and he also flushed through my tubes and they seemed to be working too. So, we've been given the go ahead to continue ttc straight away, which is good news, though I'm a bit Hmm as to why my periods have been so weird and we haven't conceived yet if everything is ok. Back to the drawing board I guess!

Treesandbees · 02/12/2014 19:15

Metal glad it wasn't too bad today. That's weird that there weren't any adhesions! A good flushing out might do the trick though?

Sorry to all the recent AF arrivals. I have also asked the big FC to bring us all Crimbo BFPs!

So...had a mini revelation here. I hate temping so haven't done much of it but the acupuncturist insisted I tried again so did this month. I got a peak on CBFM on cd18 but my temp shift wasn't until cd23?! So we've been DTD from cd12 - 20 then stopping as over it by then but now I'm wondering if we're just doing it completely at the wrong time?! Having said that this past 2 cycles have been unusually long. So thought I was 7dpo but actually 3dpo. Had my u/s today which showed I didn't have PCOS so technically I can crack on with Clomid. However trying to get a docs apt seems to be an impossibility! Sigh...

Hope everyone else is ok...I'm on phone so can't scroll to see.

lovemyboy247 · 02/12/2014 22:40

Metal- glad it went well.
Trees- good luck with the tww.
Ginger I think its too late to be omplantation bleed plus was red blood so prob just delayed af. Loving uour possativity though and hope you are enjoying your pregnancy you deserve it.
Little-

LittlePoot · 02/12/2014 22:46

Oh that's a bit of a bugger metal. The general uterus irritation and tube flushing should up your chances for the next couple of months the same as an hsg does, but annoying that you haven't found a reason for the lack of success.

Yes -af definitely got me, right on time. I swear Fridays symptoms were really full on. Sense of taste and smell, weak bladder, everything. Very harsh. Interesting you've come to that conclusion about timing trees-I keep wondering the same. I'm always pretty much bored of dtd by the time I think ov has passed, but maybe we should do it for a few more days to make sure. God-when did sex become a chore!!! At least it's something new to try next month.

BobsyBoo · 03/12/2014 19:24

Thanks for all you kind words everyone xx

Little How long have you been trying for now?

Ginger Try not to worry, easier said than done I know.

Trees That's interesting, I've been having issues with temping anyway, I have started taking them around 4am when I seem to regularly wake for the first time after a long nights sleep. I always put my temps in to FF but most of them get a white dot which means it doesn't think it's accurate. On my last cycle it was a few days before it would confirm when I'd ov'd and then it did mark ov a few days previous where I thought I had ov'd, I think it wanted a few high temps before it would confirm. I just feel like this temping isn't accurate with me. I got a new thermometer which is especially for TTC but that gives me low temps in the 35 range!

Metal How strange but good that you can get on with TTC now.

If I take a break it would have to be a permanent one because I know what I'd be like, I'd be thinking I could have been pregnant if we'd tried! It is so hard, I think it's been so long so it won't happen but then I think we weren't trying enough in the beginning and now these last few months of trying everything it's too late! I've said to OH again that we need to DTD every other night in fertile window (ie when I get EWCM) then DTD Every day after a + opk until a significant temp shift confirms ov. I even told him today to stop eating so much choc and sweets!

AF would be due about boxing day and the spotting due before Christmas, let's hope that we all get our much wanted BFP's for Christmas this year!

Treesandbees · 03/12/2014 20:57

I need some help girls...

Got my results today. Ultrasound was clear which is good. Blood results showed ovulation this month (forgot to ask for levels). But I'm confused! My blood test was done on cd25. Originally I thought that was 6dpo but then I had the temp shift which would have put my blood results at 2dpo. Does that mean I ovulated on the earlier date (cd19) and I was 6dpo? Arrrrr!

LittlePoot · 03/12/2014 21:06

Was that the progesterone test trees? If so, the doctor told me that it doesn't matter exactly what the number is, but there's a wide range of levels that tell them you've successfully ovulated. Basically, the prog. rises, peaks and then fairly quickly falls after ov, and depending exactly where in that cycle they catch it, the level would be within the range they're looking for. If you don't ov, the level is very low so apparently easy to tell. Does that make sense? So if you were 2dpo, your levels could have been on the up. And if you were 6dpo, your levels could have been hitting their peak. But you can't tell which of those you're at from the test - they just know in both cases that the level is high enough to indicate ov.

Does that make sense?! I need to draw it really and then I could explain better!

And bobsy - we've been trying since June 2013. Trying not to add up the months. I just know its too many and that's enough for me. x

Treesandbees · 03/12/2014 21:11

Thanks Little - yes it was progesterone and you make complete sense! Last month my progesterone was 5 at cd21 so either way I guess it's good news!
