Hello,

Was just wondering whether anybody has had a similar experience?

When trying for first child got pregnant the first month, however that ended in MC. Luckily I got pregnant again with DD after first month of trying again.

DD is now three, we would have started TTC sooner but I went back I Uni and I'm due to finish in November.

We have been trying for 5 months and no luck, worried that I've left it too late as I'm now 37.

I can see it too!!! Trees - how fantastic! Not too feint at all - definitely there. Woo-hoo! I was just reading through and about to reply to say yes - I'm disheartened too, but you have definitely cheered me up. I always find the worst bit is the few days after af when my hormones are flat and there's nothing I can do either way. Just coming out of that now so preparing myself for the next dtd onslaught. I'm with you on the 'starting keen but running out of oomph by night 4' too, but I'll press on.....

Trees - that's such fantastic news sweetie. Interesting your acupuncture person said it was working too - of course she's not going to say 'no, it's a waste of time', but she was definitely right wasn't she? I know you've said before, but how did you find someone you thought was worth paying for with acupuncture? I know it's expensive, but it's cheaper than ivf after all, which is my next plan I think. Although we can only really afford one round, so not sure it's worth it at all. We're going to an introductory session at our local place next week so will take in what they say and then have a proper think about it. I just keep thinking it's bound to happen on its own eventually, but of course every month I'm closer to 40 (although I'm calling it thirty-ten - can't get my head round being 40) and ivf success rates get low very quickly around now. Maybe December will be a lucky month all round.....

So sorry to hear about your mc though MrsC and I hope you're doing kind of ok? I was a mess after mine but then did manage to get pg with ds very soon after so here's hoping. Such a horrible time though. xxx

Hope everyone else is kind of ok? I reckon we all need to dtd for Britain this month and surely more bfps have to come???? At least I've got two weeks off work for Christmas so I shoudn't be quite as tired and stressy as usual. It's got to work!

Yay trees, that is a very faint line I see! Try not to worry too much about the fact it's not very dark, you could have just implanted a little later or maybe ov'd a couple of days later than you thought. For now, congratulations! Smile

As we're nearly out of space I've also started a new thread here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2255138-Struggling-to-conceive-No-2-after-getting-pregnant-easily-first-time-round

Lol! So true by the forth night in a row it becomes a bit laboured! I usually get a positive day 12 or so. We'll have a night off then see what we can do these next few nights. A boozy Christmas is definitely in order!

I start the cycle so lostive then by about CD24 I just want to test and get disappointment over with. After early miscarriage in September though a bfp prob be stressful. At least Christmas isn't quite in the 2ww for us!

Crispie it's so annoying isn't it! My ovulation seems to hard to predict that we start all 'gun ho' but run out of steam by cd20! I think that's where we might be going wrong!! Keep going if you can. Thanks for the hug too. I'm willing AF now as just want to get on with the next cycle and getting smashed at our works Christmas party (as consolation)!

Right there with you on the rollercoaster. Not as bad as a bfn but I've yet to see a solid Smilie or even a hint of a line on an ic and I'm cd16 today. Dtd five out the last six nights. Perhaps I''ve not ovulated yet? Having a night off then will Dtd Tuesday and Wednesday. This is my last chance for a bfp before I turn 42. Maybe it's too late.

So on cd16 but not hugely positive for this month
Hugs to trees xx

Thanks Metal. I feel the same, just want to give up. My 'symptoms' have gone today so guess it was just the extra progesterone this month. You're right, on a positive note my LP is definitely better but still sick of the emotional roller coaster and stress of it all! Not to mention all the wasted money on ovulation and pregnancy tests! Sorry I'm not more positive, struggling to be today.

Metalhead · 08/12/2014 09:40

Sorry about the BFNs trees, it sucks! Do you think maybe the acupuncture has helped to lengthen your LP? That would be a good thing at least.

Good luck with your scan today confusion, I hope everything's ok and you can start to move on.

How is everyone else? I'm on CD15 today and no sign of imminent ov yet, which is good as we haven't dtd at all so far... partly because I was bleeding for a few days after my op last week, but also because I just really don't feel like it at the moment. I feel pretty much ready to give up right now, and after a rather exhausting day Xmas shopping with DD on Saturday I'm starting to think that having just the one might actually be a good thing! Still, DH wants to continue ttc and we did agree to keep going until my next birthday in September, so I guess I'll have to dust myself off and get my sexy knickers out tonight!

So retested and some glaring BFNs! I'm so pissed off with this TTC crap. According to FF I'm 12dpo (it adjusted my lines). But I have a short LP so 2 days late. I guess she will appear today or tomorrow then. Hmm

I hope so trees! No positive opk yet but must be due in the next two days. Sorry about the bfn as you know it's very possibly too early to test. I don't temp but that sounds positive anyway! Fingers crossed for you

Crispier you sound like your doing well to 'cover all the bases'!

Anyone poas anytime soon? I'm 11dpo and bfn this morning. No real symptoms, just like to waste my money! Had my acupuncture apt yest and she said everything as going well and I was 'responding'! My temps have stayed high so at least progesterone is working this month!

Hey all popped back to check in. trying not to obsess this month. CD13 here. Dtd on CD10,11,12 and plan is tonight as well then CD15 and 16. Saturday out for logistical reasons!

So preparing for another 2ww. I was going to skip December but realised I can test before day so Christmas shouldn't be too overshadowed!

This is my last month before I turn 42. Loud tick tock !!

Mrs it's awful isn't it. Bad enough to have a mc but then it feels like it's dragging forever. Mine took about that long before a negative and I ended up having a 45 day cycle. Probably not what you wanted to hear but you will probably just have to ride it out. Did you get checked for any retained stuff? Sometimes that can make your body hold on to the hormones. Worth asking the doc either way just in case.

Little we started January 2013, so next month will be exactly 2 years Sad Did you try Soy? I noticed you mentioned looking in to IVF, is that something you are considering then? I have thought about it but we just can't stretch to it and at the back of my mind I still think we are just not DTD enough! I have been thinking a lot recently about adopting but OH doesn't want to. I just get 'we will have a baby of our own'!!

Well today on CD9 I have EWCM that's early for me even with taking the soy, and I've taken it cd's 4-8 this cycle and it say's it only brings ov forward slightly. I first got EWCM on CD 12 last month so not sure what to think Confused

I only finished spotting yesterday and the EWCM did have a slight bit of blood in it (sorry if tmi). AF went on a bit longer this month, and I think that's due to the stress that I'm under but I need to try and relax a bit ready for TTC!

Thanks Little - yes it was progesterone and you make complete sense! Last month my progesterone was 5 at cd21 so either way I guess it's good news!
