The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thinking of you lauren and allthefours Keeping everything crossed for you both xx

lola60 · 22/08/2014 15:48

Hi girls, been a while since i posted, just looking for some advice really, had a mmc june 25th, bled naturally for a week, neg test. Then had a strange WTF cycle that started 25thjuly, brown-red-brown for about a week. Usually pre misc i had a pretty reg 26day cycle so what i want to know is am i still in WTF cycle?? How long does it take for periods to go back to normal post misc? I tested this morn as unsure if im late or not and BFN so really dont know where i am cycle wise, anyone got any experience/advice??

MrsBeeBeeBee · 22/08/2014 16:47

Hi Lola, I'm a week or so behind you so can't be too useful yet. but I also had the brown red brown very light AF 4 weeks after my miscarriage.
counted the red day as cd1 and had pos opk on CD 12. Now 9dpo and was hoping I wasn't in wtf cycle anymore!
Did you have any signs of ovulation this cycle?

Fergie11 · 22/08/2014 17:23

Brilliant news about your blood results lauren. Hope all goes well on Wednesday allthefours x

lola60 · 22/08/2014 17:32

Hi MrsBee, had very little ov signs this mth, maybe increased cm, but am constantly symptom spotting so heads all over place, every mth i convince myself so dunno where i am cycle wise, as its now 28days since last bleed i hope to hold out a few more days before i retest!! Hopefully both our cycles will hurry up and return to normal!!! When will you test this mth?

MrsBeeBeeBee · 22/08/2014 18:17

I generally don't do early testing as I'd drive myself crazy... so wed next week is 14dpo. maybe then?
(I'll probably cave.....)

Fingers crossed for your BFP x

BlinkAndMiss · 22/08/2014 22:16

Lauren that's great news! You must be in shock! Fingers crossed, it does just sound like this is what your body does in pregnancy. Lovely news :).

allthefours good luck with the scan, I hope the drs were kind and that everything works out for you. Really try to rest, it could make a difference and you deserve some down time. It's so difficult to be in turmoil all the time, I hope you have an easier time of it soon.

monten that is precisely what I feel is happening. I've got really ramped up pmt symptoms. I'm completely bloated and sweaty (tmi!) it's gross, I'm craving stodgy and unhealthy food which is a classic symptom that AF is on her way and my moods are all over the place. And I have no idea what is going on with ovulation because I got different results on different days and no symptoms. Today I've got all the symptoms of ovulation and no sticks left because I've taken so many over the last few weeks.

I think if I get AF this month I won't be too disappointed, wtf is really taking it's toll and just to know my cycle is returning is enough for me at this point. I feel like I'm going mad! I didn't feel like this with either of my previous pregnancies so I don't think it's a sign!

Least you have a starting point now Tori. Every other day is a great idea I think I ovulated really early after my first mc like within the first day or so of af finishing. (All the usual signs were there) it's less stressful than trying to track it and if you don't catch that cycle maybe you didn't ovulate. Well that's how my brain works anyway. Good luck.

Update: my spotting has slowed right down to just a tiny bit. It's still a bit dark but we shall see what happens today. Just have to drink my one cup of caffeinated goodness and then I'll be packing us up for a 3 hr drive to my sisters. Confused Should be fun trying to keep my secret all weekend. Wink

EnglishGirlsReturned · 23/08/2014 07:24

Lauren thats wonderful news... long may the numbers continue to increase. Wishing you lots of luck. Have a lovely time at your sisters.

Tori - you can at least know that your cycle will start to normalise. Everyother day seems like a good idea.

I seem to have finally ov'd. FF confirmed it this morning. So i'm now 3dpo. Hate that I seem to ov so much later....FX this cycle works out... Hmm

Treaclepie19 · 23/08/2014 09:20

That's great Lauren :)

What cd are you on English? Glad you've finally ovulated.

I'm on cd17 today and no ovulation yet. I bet it's imminent. My thrush has calmed right down and I'm so tempted to just try anyway. Probably too late now though as it might be today I ovulate.

I'm cd 25!! These long cycles are killing me off!! Going to try the Soy Isoflavones next cycles if I'm not lucky.

Treaclepie19 · 23/08/2014 10:17

Oh no English :(
Definitely worth a try.
I sometimes ovulate on cd20 and that seems a long time so I really feel for you.

Quick update...... More heavier bleeding this morning. Seen the out of Hours GP, who thinks I'm miscarrying. Sent home to wait things out. Have appointment at EPU on Wednesday but am not very optimistic. Can't believe I'm going through this shit for a second time in 3 months. First a MMC and now this.

Cariad2014 · 23/08/2014 13:04

allthefours - I couldn't read and ignore (even though I only ever lurk on this thread). Sorry to hear the GP's diagnosis. Flowers Assuming I'm right that you got your BFP on Monday - in which case your hcg levels wouldn't be super high yet, if you were miscarrying, your hcg levels would be falling, so doing a hpt should confirm whether you're mcing one way or the other (I went from Clearblue digi telling me I was 1-2 weeks, which was behind where I should be to a BFN on my Clearblue Ov Monitor within 24 hours when I had an mc at 4 + 6). You may not want to know, which is understandable.

Big hugs. Fx that the GP got it wrong, and that you get good news on Wednesday. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Monten · 23/08/2014 13:19

I'm so sorry all the fours. I really hope this isn't what you think it is. It's so unfair.

If I finally had my karyotype results. Trisomy 22, usually sporadic but can be hereditary. They have offered us both blood tests. Given the last one was trisomy 18 I am assuming it is not hereditary. Which is good news I guess. It was another boy Sad.

greysar · 23/08/2014 14:03

Hugs to Monten and AlltheFours, not to mention Lauren!

Englishgirls, I was just in the local MASSIVE Tesco Extra and found they stock soy isoflavones next to the vitamins- about £4 for 30 pills I think... may be on them next cycle myself.

I've started acupuncture despite my DH finding it hilarious and pseudo-sciencey, and according to Fertility Friend ovulation appears to have happened on CD13 this cycle rather than CD31 last cycle. Which is a pisser, given that we hadn't DTD yet by then! Angry

Lauren82000 · 23/08/2014 14:28

Oh Allthefours I'm so sorry, try not to panic too much until you have a definite answer or your levels are going down. Are you cramping too? Is it red blood? Don't forget there are many reasons to bleed not just mc.

Big hugs to you either way.

Hope26 · 23/08/2014 15:09

Sorry you're going through this allthefours. I really hope it is not what she said! Take care of yourself.

Monten, a boy ?? I feel your pain, sending you big hugs x

EnglishGirlsReturned · 23/08/2014 20:19

Thinking of you Allthefours - look after yourself. Sending you a bg hug.

Hugs to you too Monten - can't be nice finding that out. Sad

Grey - They're the ones I have ready to try. Hopefully invoking the law of sod having brought them already. I've also been thinking about acupuncture, what day in your cycle did you have it on?

DulcetMoans · 23/08/2014 20:55

So sorry allthefours, hoping for good news Weds for you. Such a shut situation.

What's this soy thing?

Glad you are getting some support with the tests morten, getting answers if half the battle.

I've been having acupuncture for a couple weeks now grey, let me know what you think. Trying to be open minded too it because I think that's important but I'm not sure still... She keeps telling me my body is weak. Hmm I know that!!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 23/08/2014 21:44

Dulcet - if you scroll back I posted a rather large amount on Soy Isoflavones. But basically they work a bit like clomid to either induce ovulation or bring it forward. Not recommended for those with regular cycles.

Lauren82000 · 23/08/2014 21:50

Ugh I ate too much at my sisters and now stroking a huge food baby.
So far managed to get away with not drinking with everyone else. Secret is safe so far.

DulcetMoans · 23/08/2014 22:51

Oh sorry english, must have missed that. Been a bit of flying visits this week. Am on clomid at the mo though so probably not for me!

Glad you've managed to keep
It quiet so far lauren! Can be so hard in social situations!

greysar · 24/08/2014 09:11

I've had acupuncture twice so far, on CD10 and 15. She keeps telling me I'm cold and damp- aka kidney and liver issues, which in Chinese medicine apparently means I'm run down, so has me eating lots of broth and veg. My husband both finds this hilarious, and keeps throwing strops when I don't want us to have takeaways cause I'm trying to be healthy so we can have a baby- not helpful!

Englishgirls info on Soy Isoflavones was really good- feels like my cycles could be the definition of irregular, so currently trying to decide whether to let acupuncture do its thing and ovulate well naturally, or try to induce it slightly artificially...
