The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Congratulations bitchpeas, and until you're ready for the AN threads (still feels odd to me too), there is the pregnancy after miscarriage thread, where there are lots of us batshit crazies ready to rant away to. Same goes for all of you when you get your BFPs, its a home away from home...

BitchPeas · 09/08/2014 01:17

Thanks tannyLoo will take a look in the morning Smile

EnglishGirlsReturned · 09/08/2014 07:40

Congratulations BitchPeas! That's awesome news!!

Sebs, Metal.... I feel your pain. We've been TTC #1 over a year now. Pretty depressing thought really Hmm
We'll get there!

DulcetMoans · 09/08/2014 07:55

Stay here with us then bitchpeas, we will help you through! Or the pg after MC like mentioned by tanny. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Oh, and two and half years here seb and english. So much waiting! Have you both been to GP to get things moving? NHS takes it's sweet time so I recommend early referral!

sebsmummy1 · 09/08/2014 08:14

Oh Dulcet I'm so sorry you've been on this merry go round for so much longer, its funny actually as the time just slips by and before you know it it's been a fucking AGE!!!

English big hugs hunny, least we get good support on here. Although I know all if us would rather be happily posting on a pregnancy thread instead.

Now I am both confused and stupidly excited about my opks. My monitor has, as expected, missed my peak. The stick today shows it back to a bright blue oestrogen line again with hardly an LH line at all. But what's teally got me excited is I decided to put an internet cheapie in the same FMU and it's a peak stick.

So question is, do you think it's picking up LH from yesterday? It was pretty impossible for me to get a good concentrated sample yesterday as I have a bladder infection (taking antibiotics for it) and can't hold my wee for long. I'll attach a photo of the stick - I've hardly been able to get these ones to register a second line at all so this is bloody amazing!

sebsmummy1 · 09/08/2014 08:16

Would help if I attach photo!

Foxtrot7459 · 09/08/2014 08:23

Congratulations bitch peas - whilst a bfp is all I want the thought of being pregnant again terrifies me. But it's the end game we need to focus on and that will be bloody amazing!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 09/08/2014 08:27

Oh Dulcet, I'm sorry. That probably came across a little insensitive. I didn't mean it to. I genuinely hope you get your happy ending soon.
Not been to the drs, as technically I've been pregnant twice in that year. It's just keeping it that is the issue so far. I don't know at what point the drs would get involved.

Sebs - I'm on my phone so can't see the pics.. Wish mumsnet would sort the app out so we could see pics! But yay for the positive ic!! Go get your man! Wink

DulcetMoans · 09/08/2014 08:39

Oh ladies, please don't be sorry! It's not a competition for length at all, didn't mean it to sound that way. K understand the frustration though. We all have our own struggles on this journey. english surely that is reason enough to go to GP? Although I guess they might not do much until 3rd time unlucky.

seb what stage are you at? Not wanting to get you excited but unexpected positive opks was my pregnancy clue! If in doubt, get shagging anyway!! Can't see photos on here I'm afraid.

Metalhead · 09/08/2014 08:46

Sebs I can't help with the monitor, but I always get at least two positive IC opks on two consecutive days. I assume the first stick is picking up the peak of the surge, and the second is the LH going down. So I'd get shagging again today if you can just to cover all bases!

I've still got probably another week and a half before ov... bloody stupid long cycles! I'm not really expecting it to work this cycle anyway, think I've become a bit disillusioned with the whole thing.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 09/08/2014 08:50

They said after the second mc that because I'm young (30?!) they don't test routinely until the unlucky 3rd. Hmm

I'm pretty disillusioned about the whole TTC thing... Think it's only naturally after what we've all been through.

sebsmummy1 · 09/08/2014 08:51

I have uploaded the image to tinypic, I'll attach the link;

It's definitely OV time so not pregnancy related unfortunately, I'm just excited as this is on track to be a very nice cycle length-wise for me. My follicular phase was horribly short last month making me wonder about peri-menopause.

We have done lots of good shagging. OH would rather stop now though lol but I've told him he needs to do me today and tomorrow or else I'm going to go and harass men on the streets Grin

sebsmummy1 · 09/08/2014 08:52

Thanks Metal. Fingers crossed for both of us, think we could both do with a good baby dust soaking from the fertility fairy.

Boozle80 · 09/08/2014 09:33

Whoop whoop Bitch! I just lurk on both - I'm not ready to move on yet! These ladies are like my comfort blanket!
How are you doing oneday? It's an nhs one on Monday - my doctor recommended I got in to see the midwife ASAP when I found out. She hasn't booked me in as it's way too early and she didn't say it but they wait until 8 weeks because of mc. She did, however, get me into the system on epu as she said they'd do my bloods and check that hormones and vitamins are all up to scratch as routine, basically do all the tests they do after your third mc. She reckoned better do it now and stop me from getting to three mc if she can rather than wait and refer me after it happens. Think she was a one in a million midwife though as she was really on my side, she didn't think I needed the scan but said that was the best way if getting me into the system.

Hope everyone is having a happy weekend - we're heading back from sunny Ireland today to the rainy uk :)

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 09/08/2014 09:56

Hi ladies, I havent been around for awhile but could really do with some support.

dp and I dtd last night for the first time since conceiving(im 6.5 wks now) and I bled, bright red blood,it wasnt enough to soak a pad but im completely freaking out.

have got an emergency dr appointment at 11.45

sebsmummy1 · 09/08/2014 10:17

Smiling I also bled after sex when pregnant with my son. It is because your cervix is very sensitive and blood rich at this stage. If you google blood after sex in early pregnancy you will see how common it is. Mine went away very quickly and I didn't bleed again xxxx

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 09/08/2014 10:23

Thanks seb I think its the fact its bright red rather than dark thats freaked me out, mind you everything is freaking me out this time round

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 09/08/2014 10:29

sebs metal english dulcet I'm so sorry to hear you've been in this limbo for all this time, especially with the added heartache of mc. It will happen for you and for us all. You have to believe that.

boozle I'm doing okay. A bit weepy this morning after logging on to fb to see the announcement of a new arrival with the boys name DH have our heart set on. 7dpo here and am sitting on the fence, we most definitely have dtd at the exact right times but I know that doesn't mean anything. Really hoping to be pg by Christmas but I know it really doesn't help to put pressure on. Wow. Your mw sounds absolutely fab! How wonderful. I'm so glad she's looking after you. Please do keep me up to date with your scan and how you're getting on. I'm hoping you'll have a smooth sailing pregnancy with a gorgeously chubby baby at the end of it.

smiling it's good to hear from you. I'm sorry you're having this worry. From what I've read ALOT, it's really really common to bleed after dtd in early pg. I'm sure you'll be fine x

sebsmummy1 · 09/08/2014 10:39

Smiling mine was also bright red because it's fresh blood as the cervix has been irritated. Go and see the GP but I would put money on him saying the same. How much blood was there and was it straight after sex or has it carried on?

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 09/08/2014 10:51

It was straight after, lasted about 20mins and this morning ive got a little darker coloured blood when I wipe, sorry for tmi

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 09/08/2014 10:53

Its so odd, last time nothing fazed me it didnt occur to me that anything would go wrong, this time im a bag of nerves and convinced im going to mc with every twinge Sad

sebsmummy1 · 09/08/2014 11:06

Ok, well the best thing I can suggest is to talk to the doctor, explain about the bleeding and the miscarriage and I think he will refer you to the early scan unit. Early scans are tricky buggers as they give you limited information, they can rule out ectopic though so that's a real bonus. I'm so sorry you have this worry, everything crossed for you sweetheart x

Boozle80 · 09/08/2014 15:31

How'd it go Smiling?

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 09/08/2014 16:35

The dr wasnt to worried he said that red blood after sex is common and after poking my tummy a bit said I didnt have any other concerning symptoms. The darker blood when I have wiped is just where the blood has clotted and pooled and is coming out (sorry far tmi).

hes told me to rest and go back if I get any pain or the bleeding comes back.

im already booked for an early scan on wed so will just have to cross my fingers and wait till then.
