The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Hey ladies, slap me with a wet fish.... Had some foof twinges so did an opk and it's got a very strong 2nd line (not positive but I only got lines this strong either side of a positive opk). So I'm wondering if I'm ovulating today? Or should I completely disregard any opk in wtf cycle?

Mslad · 30/07/2014 18:40

Hello lovely ladies, can I join the bus? I had a mmc 6 weeks ago at 12 weeks. This is my first time I could go back on mn since it happened as it was too much of a reminder of the lovely time I spent on the antinatel thread. But I've read through this thread & you are all so lovely & strong that I'm glad I've come back.

I'm in the wtf cycle stage. I've no idea what my body is doing. We've dtd'd a few times, was absolutely convinced AF was visiting this morning but then everything stopped after an hour, & bfn so who knows......

Can I ask, for your first cycle post miscarraige do you count the days from when it passed, or in my case from the D&C? (Does that make sense?)

Stats: age 33, ttc #1 mmc June, 37 days wtf cycle.

Hugs to everyone on the thread Smile

MrsBeeBeeBee · 30/07/2014 19:20

Hi mslad. Welcome, although sorry you find yourself here.

No help on wtf cycle unfortunately as I'm still there myself! I also miscarried without intervention so just count it from that day.

LazyRohazy · 30/07/2014 19:35

Hello all. Work has been manic the last couple of days so I've not been on much.

Congrats dontbeblue!

Sorry AF got you English

I think I'm 2 dpo today. Someone at work just announced second pregnancy. Am so jealous I want to hit something, and that makes me feel like a cow.

Monten · 30/07/2014 19:52

Hello Mslad am so sorry you find yourself here. I know how utterly devastating it is to get bad news at your 12 week scan, it's such a milestone to reach that go from such a high so such a low in such a short space of time is very hard to handle. Good for you for taking some time out and welcome back!

There's no definitive answer on what to count as cD1, it really depends what your hormones were doing and how quickly they dropped to zero after the d&c. I took the first day I got a negative pregnancy test as cd1, as it made sense to me that the hormone chain that is your monthly cycle wouldn't kick in until that happened. My normal cycle is 35 days. This time af arrived exactly 35 days after negative hpt. This first time is took 7 weeks to return but I was 13 weeks and it was a termination after an Edwards syndrome diagnosis so my hormone levels would have been very high when I had the procedure as the pregnancy was still progressing and my baby was still alive Sad. As far as af itself, again anything goes really. Expect the unexpected is the best advice someone on here gave me. Big hugs.

mrsbeebee I reckon you are ovulating - hop to it lady!

Big hugs english. Am sorry you are low. It is fucking shitty and you have every right to be sad. Your time will come, it will come for all of us. Thanks

Metalhead · 30/07/2014 20:05

Welcome mslad, and sorry for your loss. I counted the day of my erpc as CD1, and got my first AF after around 3 weeks, but I'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate before it as I was still testing faintly positive until a few days before.

LittleMissSnowShine · 30/07/2014 20:16

Welcome mslad, sorry for your loss, hope you have a short stay here xx

mrsbee - At the end of the day, who really knows what is going on in the wtf cycle but if you might have had a positive OPK then as someone else said..hop to it!

tori - sending hugs your direction. I would love to have gotten pg this cycle too, right after mc but im on cd42 and poas says no so just waiting on AF now. I had another mc this time 2 years ago and I really wanted to get pg straight away but it ended up taking 4 months. A long (it seemed at the time) wait but well worth it. Hang in there xx

EnglishGirlsReturned · 30/07/2014 20:43

Welcome Mslad - I recognise your name from one of the antenatal boards. You're in Holland arent you? I'm so sorry for your loss. I didnt really chart this cycle. AF came today, 5 weeks exactly after ERPC. I think (based on opks) I ovulated 10 days ago but that would then have shortened my lp by 3 days. I'm going with not actually ovulating and will start temping again tomorrow. I hope you find this thread and these ladies supportive. We've all been where you are and know exactly the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with mc. I hope your time with us is short.

This has been the most painful af ever, although not massively heavy. Feel like someone is jumping all over my uterus!!

Hi Mslad, so sorry for your loss x

Sorry you're in pain English, get a hot water bottle and some feminax!

Well FF says I've ovulated and am 9dpo. I don't believe it. My temps haven't risen :/

Welome Mslad So sorry about your loss, it's just awful, isn't it? You will find lots of support on here.

I have always counted the day when my mcs physically happened (ERPC or passing the sac) as CD1, and I have been very lucky that my cycles always come back to normal almost immediately. However, it is different for everyone, so I really wouldn't pay too much attention to your WFT cycle (because that' what it is...). Like other have said, there is no definite answer.
Hope you can recover quickly, at least physically.

treacle Snap! I got a +ve OPK last night, but I'm only on CD11 today! I never ovulate this early, I'm usually a CD14-15 OV gal... Temps haven't risen. Worried now that my cycles are getting even shorter than they already are Confused

Lauren82000 · 31/07/2014 09:42

Hi Ladies,

Me n hubby are once again on the roller coaster that is ttc. After 2 mc's in 2 months we waited a full cycle (which felt like it took forever btw) and have jumped back on the bandwagon to see if we can make one stick this time. Desperately want #2 but incredibly scared the next time we get bfp that one won't stick either. Just have to get past the dreaded 5w 1d mark and hopefully should be good to go. We've been really lucky to catch first time every time so I'm hoping it won't take us too long. As much as I like hearing about people's positive outcomes I just want to shake them when they say next time will be fine. Least if we lose another we get some tests and some answers but still think its harsh you have to lose so many before they give you the time of day.

I'm thinking if my danger zone is 5w I may not test at all till I hit 6 weeks and stay in blissful denial of any and all symptoms I get. Has anyone else done anything similar and did it make them feel better? Or have you all broken down and tested like a mad woman (which is highly likely going to happen to me)

broodylicious · 31/07/2014 10:20

Morning all! Just catching up after a mini break in Norfolk with my parents, sister, nephew, DH and DD - lovely place but shit phone reception!

Sorry to see some newbies have joined while I've been away. Hopefully your stays won't be too long but you'll find kindness and friendship here x

Still no news on date for house move which is ultra annoying now as if it's not going to be for another couple of weeks/a month, I want to ttc with some gusto! Have a feeling I'll be oving in the next few days so I shall be poas/piac regardless, just so I can keep an eye on my cycle.

sebsmummy1 · 31/07/2014 10:32

JBrd I ovulated early cycle just gone. Normally i ov on cd13/14 last cycle a sudden low to peak on my CBFM on cd10. Now I can track my cycle back it looks like it caught the very beginning of my surge as I OVed cd12. So try not to get discouraged as you could end up OVing on cd13 so just a day early.

Well I am CD4 today and for some reason feel really good. I have upped my exercise which is probably a bad thing fertility wise but makes me feel so much better mentally. I did the most hardcore spin session yesterday and was absolutely fine whilst people around me were wheezing and sighing. Even if I can't conceive again at least my arse don't be saggy lol ;)

DulcetMoans · 31/07/2014 13:25

Afternoon all. Welcome to the newcomers, sorry for your losses. I hope you are dealing with it best you can.

Mini break sounds good boozy, hope you got lots of fresh air in this lovely weather!

Don't think I would be able to avoid testing until 6wks lauren, but if you can then give it a try! I might avoid any midwife related stuff until after 7 weeks as seems pointless to do that if the baby is already gone like mine was. Just hurt more afterwards.

Bit of a mixed day here. Out with a few friends yesterday - all on maternity leave and one pregnant. Should have been the first time I saw them since announcing I am pregnant so would have been exciting. Instead I sat quiet while the baby talk happened. Also, still have first AF post-MC on CD5 and doesn't show any signs of stopping at the moment. Would normally have faded off by now but still pretty heavy. Which is annoying as I am on clomid from this month so want to get on it as soon as possible!

I did a pg test two days before AF and still showed faint positive - is that normal??

Treaclepie19 · 31/07/2014 14:51

Dulcet I know how that feels, very big hugs.
I'd say the test showing faint positive is fine, can't remember what mine did now.

I've had a wobble today. First time I've broken down for a few weeks. I drove my friend to the hospital because she's due to give birth in two weeks and baby is measuring small. I was so upset for lots of reasons on the way there.
Now I'm really worried for her and also feel guilty for thinking "oh everything's fine for her it's me that's suffered".
Blah.

Hi everyone just thought id pop in and say hello.

had my reassurance scan on tuesday, everything looks fine so far but was too early to see a heartbeat so need to go back in 2 weeks for another one.

ive had such a wobbly week I would have been having my 20 week scan round about now Sad

DulcetMoans · 31/07/2014 21:30

Sounds like there have been a few wobbles on here today. Sorry ladies, hopefully tomorrow will be a more positive day.

Good news one your scan smiling, hope you get to see the heart beat next time.

Foxtrot7459 · 01/08/2014 08:11

Morning all - not been on for a week or so as on holiday. I have a quick question, hopeful you can help.

I've had first AF after m/c. My cycle was longer than pre mc and I had spotting for about 3/4 days before and after. It was much lighter than before. I'm now on CD 14 so should be ovulating around now or in next few days depending if cycle stays longer or is returning to normal. I don't temp or measure ov in any way.

This morning I have had spotting - could this be a sign of ovulation. Have not dtd in recent days, hoping to tonight. Would this be too late or perfect timing? Not had spotting mid cycle before so don't know if this is result of mc or something else. Dr Google throws up all sorts of things to worry about. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've also got slight discomfort/pain on right side this morning so this could also be ovulation, again is dtd tonight too late now?

Thanks x

Foxtrot7459 · 01/08/2014 08:12

P.S Happy August - I hope it's a positive month for everyone.

JBrd · 01/08/2014 09:20

fox I think spotting is a common symptom of ovulation. I don't think that it'll be too late for dtd, if you are ovulating today! Or even if it was yesterday - they recommend dtd the day before, on and after ov, don't they? It can take a while for the egg to travel down the tube, so you might as well Smile

I am really confused - it really looks as if I ov really early this month, on CD10/11 Confused. I had +ve OPKs, and my temps have started to go up. Probably missed the window for dtd... Not woo worried about that, as it will give the vitamins/supplements more time to do their magic, and also give me more time to get my head in the right place again. But I'm not liking the idea of my cycles getting all wonky!

sebsmummy1 · 01/08/2014 09:33

I know the follicular phase can change month by month so I wouldn't worry too much that if it's got a little shorter it's permanent. Also cycle just gone I got a peak from the CBFM on cd10 which was then backed up by pos cheapie opks in the evening for two days, OVed on cd12 (now I can track it back) so only one day early in the end.

I'm on cd5 now. AF pretty much disappeared yesterday so had three days of bleeding one day of spotting. Think that's pretty standard for me. I think my monitor will start asking for sticks tomorrow. Hoping I see some EWCM this cycle and then I will feel more reassured things are back to normal.

Re spotting mid cycle. I've read about it but I haven't experienced it. The one time I thought I had it it carried on as a tan discharge until AF arrived early, so I think my hormones were still rebalancing.

Metalhead · 01/08/2014 09:47

I don't get ov bleeding but ov pain fox, and unfortunately it's not a very reliable indicator of whether you're about to ov or already have! Before my mc I think the pain started as I ov'd and then lasted until the day after, whereas now I think it starts the day before and then stops once the egg is released (this is based on my observations from opks).

Anyway, I'd dtd just in case tonight, it certainly can't hurt.

CD2 here and hoping this AF will be longer/heavier than previous ones. I know that sounds weird, but I've been really concerned about Ashermans Syndrome since my erpc. Made some enquiries and to see one of the few specialists in the UK to get a diagnosis would be around £500!

sebsmummy1 · 01/08/2014 10:02

Oh Metal I think there are so many things we can diagnose ourselves with using Google but most of the time we haven't got these things, it's just our anxiety that we might.

I know I have a fibroid. I have no idea if it's grown or decreased in size since my sons birth. Perhaps I have lots more now? Who knows, it's just one other stick to hit myself with every month when I fail to fall pregnant.
