The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thanks Ladies! It's true 18 weeks not long, but add the 8 week of being pregnant last MC the 6 months trying for that one, the 12 weeks pregnant before number 1 MC the 9 months trying for that one and it's 2 years :-( life is a bloody bitch!!!!!!!!! Losing heart, when I started this journey I was sooooo nervous about getting pregnant, now .,,.ughhhh would love to slap someone with a fish right now! Life is a massive knob cheese.

Hope you have fun camping, I have a houseful of men in Lycra this weekend! Still I least I can have several big fat drinks and admire the view

DulcetMoans · 03/07/2014 21:07

Tent shagging is worse when the weather is nice - too hot and sticky!

The problem with illness excuse for hen dos is you would probably have paid your money by then. You will both need to be 'busy' for some reason. Or, fess up and say its too much money.

I can't tell what any of my pains are anymore! It's a week tomorrow when my miscarriage started and I'm not really bleeding much but I have aches and pains that I don't know if they are related. Should it be more like a period now I have passed the baby? Didn't really get much info on what happens next!

Boozle80 · 03/07/2014 21:10

Hey Dulcet I had ERPCs so not too sure - I found the miscarriage association had loads of info about what to expect though - they were a bit of a life saver as the hospital told me naff all!

Treaclepie19 · 03/07/2014 21:12

Dulcet, i found I had all sorts of pains. Some like a period and some nothing like.
I hope it passes soon for you x

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 03/07/2014 21:29

Dulcet like boozle I also had ERPC but had period pains initially and have had some pulling type pains on the odd occasion. Am assuming this is my uterus shrinking back to size?

Can also vouch for the information on the miscarriage association website. DH was really sweet and printed off the 'your feelings after miscarriage' leaflet on Monday (aka mini meltdown day) and it was brilliant.

Can you speak with your gp or even the EPU? I do find it so bizarre that (speaking for myself) there is no follow up after a mc. Not even a chat with the GP or a nurse as routine. It's terrible. No wonder we google!

DulcetMoans · 03/07/2014 21:39

I know oneday, it is a bit odd to just be left here now. I was due for ERPC Monday but scan showed it wasn't needed after the weekend. So then it was just a case of walking out of the hospital with nothing. Not even a piece of paper! Felt really strange.

Uterus thing makes sense, I hadn't thought about that. Not sure it's worth going to doctors and I guess my need for EPU has been removed anyway. Ill ride it out, it's probably all normal.

Daisybell1 · 03/07/2014 22:10

I had all sorts of odd feelings after mine (2 erpcs and 1 natural) - for several months afterwards I had a dragging sensation and felt I had to give everything a good old pelvic floor hitch (tmi)

Foxtrot7459 · 03/07/2014 22:13

greysar don't think it's the same one - no life drawing for me! Problem if I use the money excuse is that someone may offer me a bed or sofa for the night which I don't want cos I don't want to go!!

I just need something urgently in my diary for a weekend in August that supersedes a hen party in importance.

bythesea82 · 03/07/2014 22:28

Hi Dulcet I had 2 natural mcs, once everything settled down and stopped being v heavy it became more like a period but with more aches and pains and general feeling of wiped out. Think both times took about 10 days to stop bleeding but I think everyone is different.

Hen do people-big family get together, don't normally get the chance to be all together, can't really miss it-always a fairly fail safe excuse?

broodylicious · 03/07/2014 22:29

ladyH I mc 18 weeks ago today too. [hugs] I should be 30 weeks gone today. Life is indeed shit.

Although....

I can confirm I am now officially back on the ttc horse, after six months of no TITH. And wowsers, it was mind blowing. Yep waaaaaay tmi, sorry ladies, no need for that boast Blush Right. Cue symptom spotting and obsessing with the rest of you Wink

Hope26 · 03/07/2014 23:04

No sign of AF, was due today, cramps have stopped.. Ah I hope this is the month!!

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 03/07/2014 23:13

Ooooooooh hope that's exciting ... Fingers crossed that wicked witch stays away!

Boozle80 · 03/07/2014 23:38

RiverRocks · 04/07/2014 00:21

Fergie11 · 04/07/2014 06:03

Hi Ladies I have been lurking since I had my mmc in Aptil. I poas on Sunday and got my bfp. I am trying not to get excited until I safely reach 12weeks and just think today in pregnant. Fx for everyone poas this weekend xxx

Justonemoretime · 04/07/2014 06:26

Toad in the hole ;)
Loving the tent snagging tales. Got a few of those myself. ;)

officelady · 04/07/2014 06:56

Congratulations Fergie! Good news for a Friday! Are there any more POASers this morning?
I'm on the cusp of ovulating. Exciting times Grin

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 04/07/2014 07:38

Ah, of course, toad in the hole!!

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 04/07/2014 08:14

And in the spirit of poas Friday, I have and it's finally negative! Hurrah!

Hopefully this will be the last time I'm ever grateful for a negative.

Good luck to anyone else today!

Hope26 · 04/07/2014 08:15

Thank you ladies. I have ordered first response pg tests will take a couple of days.

Fergie congratulations! Can you please share your story of conception in detail to motivate all of us! Any symptoms etc. was your second AF after mc on time?

Monten · 04/07/2014 08:29

Oh good luck hope. I'm like you, af is much less heartbreaking than bfn. You are very patient tho!

Anyone else poas-ing?

TinyTear · 04/07/2014 08:36

I am POAS on tuesday... that will be CD 28, 14DPO and I actually have a GP appointment for a different matter so if it's positive can ask him straight away about the thyroxine - as I don't think i will have the NK results by then... apparently there is a backlog

wiltingfast · 04/07/2014 08:42

Good luck hope x

Hope26 · 04/07/2014 08:51

Thank you ladies. I just got a feeling my cycle is messed up after mc and The witch will turn up.

Lou07708 · 04/07/2014 09:26

hope I am with you on that feeling. Just seems too good to be true that a bfp will appear for me after cycle 1 ttc.
