The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Oh I use the C-bomb far too much. But it really is the only word sometimes. And even if it's not entirely necessary it's still bloody brilliant!

Don't worry dulcet, it will get easier to bear. I just 'hide' pregnant people if they're one if those annoying people who divulge every detail of their pregnancy!
After my first mc my friend told me a week later via face time she was pg. I blurted out about my mc (she didn't know until that point), held it together until she got off the phone. Then threw my phone across the room, cried and felt guilty for the rest of the afternoon. Don't 'like' the post yet if you can't bring yourself to do it.

Marmaladecat1 · 02/07/2014 07:04

Dick-wad! That's brilliant.
I have apparently missed my fertile window and I'm seriously fucked off with the world.
4 weeks ago yesterday.
I thought I would be back to normal by now. I am an excellent example of an idiot. Do not carry on working whilst miscarrying, I think I've just bottled it all up.
Now in the 2ww :(
And it's not even Friday yet.
Arse!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 02/07/2014 07:50

marmalade you are not an idiot, have you considered counselling? Ive found talking to someone impartial so helpful, I can say anything I want without worrying about upsetting her or being judged its very liberating.

Im in the 2ww and seriously doubting my own sanity Confused

broodylicious · 02/07/2014 07:52

Dd must have got wind of my starting July with lashings of TITH plan.... Took two hours to get her to sleep then woke 20 mins later and insisted on being held all night but even then didn't sleep Confused bloody hayfever/summer cold!!!

tannyLoo · 02/07/2014 08:01

Ha! I know that one Broody! My son (14) decided he was going to "hang" with us for the entire fertile window instead of going to his dad's as planned. FFS...
In the end, with my crazy "super-fertility" we needn't have worried, but I was growling like a tiger all weekend!

tannyLoo · 02/07/2014 08:04

Marmalade I echo that, don't be too hard on yourself, everyone is so different, and the way mc has after effects is miserable. I have had five in a row, and after the last one had a complete meltdown. MC is complete shitbuckets!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 02/07/2014 08:12

1 week pot erpc, did a hpt. Still a line. I know I'm being unrealistic to expect a negative already but I'm so bloody impatient. This waiting is excruciating.
Going to start tith every other day from Sunday. Even though the nurse said wait 2-4 weeks. I feel absolutely fine and had such a small amount of bleeding I think that time scale was a little excessive!

RiverRocks · 02/07/2014 09:17

Morning ladies,

Wonder if I could join you?

TTC #1 since Jan 14, BFP March 2014, MMC April 14 and had an ERPC.

Now 9 weeks post-ERPC, and on cd 8. We get married a week on Monday, and BFP due 2 days later. I'm so hoping for a honeymoon baby!

Marmaladecat1 · 02/07/2014 09:21

I totally understand the impatience of waiting english
I am in a foul mood!

Marmaladecat1 · 02/07/2014 09:22

(And we have run out of tea bags)

Mrsm14 · 02/07/2014 09:39

It really is true. THREE feckin facebook announcements this week for me. One was a profile picture of a tiny hand; one a picture of their little boy with new little sis; and the other a staged shot with their two other girls holding up placards about their new little sister. Sob. Worried it will never happen for me (sorry, wallowing. Should've been 10 weeks today and having a scan)

Mrsm14 · 02/07/2014 09:40

Oh - and my husband used end of loo roll and stuck a roll of kitchen towel in the bathroom instead. Grrrr.

broodylicious · 02/07/2014 09:53

My NCT pal announced her pregnancy to the world via Facebook this morning - pic of her son stood in his cot, which had an "eviction notice" on it, saying please vacate soon as the cot is required for a new inhabitant in January 2015.

Better than a pic of her womb but bleurgh.

Mrsm14 · 02/07/2014 10:05

Bleurgggghhhhh

Metalhead · 02/07/2014 10:28

I suppose I should be grateful all my baby friends already have #2, at least those who were going to have more than 1, so I've not had to endure the Facebook bomb onslaught...

Monten · 02/07/2014 10:43

BLLLEEERUGH. what is wrong with people?! Sorry if anyone on here did something like that but……when did we all get so ego centric about personal announcements? It just seems so me me me to make a big song and dance about it.

I’m not advocating we go back to the days of confinement when women hid their pregnancies but……I do think there is something to be said for keeping some things private. My mum was horrified when she heard the sorts of things people put on Facebook (she’s only just on email bless her)

Boozle80 · 02/07/2014 11:02

Marmalade you are not an idiot, you are exactly like me and I am not an idiot. Or at least I don't think I am. I really don't want to be one anyway so let's just say the rest of the world are fucktards instead. I'm good with that!

I had to explain ovulation to my four year old who caught me peeing on a stick this morning - she gave me a cuddle told me I was being 'ridiculous' and told me that if another rotten egg comes out (AF) then she'll use her pocket money to get me some from the farm because they're always really fresh. I tried to describe the differences between human and chicken eggs and then decided I'd rather think that too! As her leaving shot she added they weren't good sticks anyway, the ones we use to play Pooh sticks were real sticks. I need to get a lock in the bathroom door...

Boozle80 · 02/07/2014 11:18

That and I've probably given her the misconception for life that you need to pee on sticks when you're a grown up for no apparent reason. Bollocks, didn't think of that - I should have made up an answer like it tells you how well you've brushed your teeth or something...

wiltingfast · 02/07/2014 12:52

just marking my place! more of a lurker than a contributer I'm afraid Blush, had a mc in May. Am on cd 29 (I think, was the wtf cycle, spotted for maybe 5 days before full on af arrived horribly for another 5]but only 11 dpo.

Bit confused on whether I should count first day of spotting as cd1 Confused?

Anyway, hoping for lots of bfps for you all this month

Thanks
DulcetMoans · 02/07/2014 14:24

I have a pain in my back/kidney area. Anyone experience of that after MC? Not sure if its coincidence or not. It's on the right where baby was and it's like a constant ache. Might have nothing to do with it.

You little one sounds very wise boozle, what a cutie! Awkward conversation though, hard enough explaining ovulation to DH!

Seems to be the time for the announcements for everyone then. All the new year babies... bastards

At work listening to sad songs. Not a good idea, I know.

Lou07708 · 02/07/2014 14:26

Rant. The preggas one at work whose bump practically touches my arm from 9-5 weekdays just had ANOTHER asos delivery. Another uptake of amazing maternity frocks for her. Meanwhile my belly jiggles for nothing!

Lou07708 · 02/07/2014 14:27

Oh yes and somebody fetch a fish and slap me. Thinking about POAS 7dpo. Wtf!

Hope26 · 02/07/2014 14:54

I have AF type cramps.. I think it's on it's way anytime now. Due tomorrow unless my body is messed up after mc... I hope it doesn't come!

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 02/07/2014 14:55

can I join please?

I have DD aged 2 who was conceived v quick - the second month of being off the pill. Then we started trying again in December and I was pregnant inside a month.

But then I miscarried in january and since then no luck.

I really really wanted to be pregnant and past the first 12 weeks before september (when i would have been due) but now I'm passed that.

I am absolutely knackered and looking at it for a symptom but still a week away from being due. But the truth is that I have been away with work and up at 4.30 twice this week so being knackered and miserable is much more likely to do with that than pregnancy hormones.

I know it seems stupid (and apologies if it seems insensitive to people who have had long waits), give the time some people wait but the last two pregnancies were so fast (faster than I wanted at the time) that 4 months seems like a lifetime.

Colleague just announced his wife is 13 weeks pregnant. I know she MC just before Christmas.

broodylicious · 02/07/2014 16:19

dulcet I had that type of ache too. It was really uncomfortable and niggly more than anything. I hope it wears off for you soon.

tomorrow I was due in September too and know what you mean about being upduffed again before then. You don't sound insensitive to me, I completely understand what you mean. I had to wait about eight months to fall pg with our dd but then caught first time round (after just three TITHs!) with the bubba I mc at the end of February. Here's hoping your stay here won't be long and your BFP is just round the corner.
