The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Gah! Went and got a cheapy pg test from Morrisons and it was a BFFN. Bumholes, not doing that again!

Oh well, will keep on keeping on. Just a stone to lose then we're ICSI bound which will of course result in twins, a boy and a girl....

It's not over until AF shows! Hang in their ladies

Foxtrot7459 · 13/07/2014 15:43

Currently waiting for AF on the WTF cycle. I've had period like cramps and have a big spot on my chin but nothing else. Really really want it to turn up in next couple of days as a) it would mean my cycle hasn't been mucked up too much currently on day 27 and cycles are usually between 26 & 28 and b) the timing for ttc again would fall when I'm on holiday which would be ideal.

Definetly not pg as not dtd since mc - I've never wanted AF to turn up as much as this, on constant wipe watch!

Did anyone else's cycles return to normal straight after mc? It was natural and I've counted dates from day of actual mc and not start of bleeding which was 5 days before.

I need some hope pls!

Hope26 · 13/07/2014 15:49

Fox your cycle can get a bit longer after mc or it can shorten, depends on your body. After D&C I counted that as cd1 due to heavy bleeding and my first AF came cd35 my normal cycle length can vary fr 30-32 days.

It will come and I know the wait sucks but it will come and that means your body has recovered. Hope that helps

Foxtrot7459 · 13/07/2014 16:25

Thanks hope

If your cycle gets longer does it tend to stay longer or gradually work it's way back to pre mc? I know it's probably an impossible question as it's probably different for everyone, however it would help with dates and dtd. I don't use any ov sticks as I don't want to become too obsessed or put to much pressure on DH ( not that there is anything wrong with that of course!)

broodylicious · 13/07/2014 16:36

Lol treacle! How you doing today? Been ages since I got drunk. Might have a little wine later.

sal, naturally it'll be twins!! I'm at ?9/10dpo and still feeling a bit funny. I'm probably setting myself up for a huge fall but I'm defo feeling different to normal and crazily knackered so defo pg sign

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 13/07/2014 17:08

I gave in and did a cheapy test today, BFN Sad

af due tomorrow

Hope26 · 13/07/2014 17:19

Fox I have read that it can take a few months to get back to normal but I haven't experienced that as I got a bfp during my second cycle after mc.

These bfn's can drive you insane and can be depressing, I had about 15 more a bfp, hang in there!!

Lou07708 · 13/07/2014 17:33

Hi ladies,

Second AF post tfmr. It's super light. I am on CD 3 and I haven't needed to use anything as yet. I get a tiny bit of spotting if lucky when I wipe. First AF was really heavy for three days. Anyone else had totally random periods in terms of bleeding not cycle length post mc/tfmr??
Going bloody insane!!! Oh and I tested and bfn 12dpo.

sebsmummy1 · 13/07/2014 17:42

I had a two day period this month but it was heavy, unusual for me though. To be honest Lou when you were posting recently I really thought your symptoms were consistent with BFP, I was surprised when it wasn't. Keep testing but if you continue to test neg then it could just be a wonky cycle.

Metalhead · 13/07/2014 17:50

lou my periods have been much lighter since my erpc. Having said that, 12dpo could still be too early for a BFP so I would test again in a few days.

Sorry for all the BFNs today ladies, it sucks every time.

I don't think I've ov'd yet as my boobs aren't sore at all today. Guess it's just another random extra long cycle for me this month, just to put the boot in... ordered another bumper pack of opks from Amazon yesterday so will just keep on testing until I get a clear +ve!

Metalhead · 13/07/2014 17:55

Oh, and just to top it all off, DD had one of her "when our baby comes I'll be a big sister" moments again in the park earlier! Had to choke back the tears and gently mention that not all can people have another baby... Sad (Thankfully she'd hastened to add: "That's gonna be aaaages though!")

Lou07708 · 13/07/2014 17:55

Ah sebs and everyone for that matter, the very fact you are thinking about a bfp and me makes me so emotional. It's surprising that I feel so attached and supported by people I haven't met. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this thread has helped me claw from a very sad place to an ok place xx

Treaclepie19 · 13/07/2014 18:46

broody, i am incredibly hungover. Ugh.
Serves me right haha.
I am at least happy to carry on trying. Had a mini meltdown last night with the alcohol.

My periods have been odd since the mc too, mind have been heavier though so I think it does affect it.

Marmaladecat1 · 13/07/2014 19:18

Me too lou I feel it's only you lot who understand how I'm feeling!
Weird about the light AF I guess it's just waiting? Seriously how much chuffing waiting do we lot have to do?!
Oh metal :( my DS although didn't know has asked when we are getting a baby.
And my baby tummy!

I'm grumpy as always and because it happened on a Sunday I just mark it off as another week. I would be 12 weeks today and going for my scan tomorrow.

I'm going to work instead. I've bought a salad for lunch to cheer me up.

Sorry about the bfn smiley me too.

How you feeling boozle? Hope you are ok

Marmaladecat1 · 13/07/2014 19:19

Passes treacle hangover cures! Hope you are ok. Meltdowns on alcohol do not count!

Treaclepie19 · 13/07/2014 19:24

Big hugs for tomorrow marmalade xxx
Thanks for the hangover cures hehe. I've had a pot noodle, mcdonalds, coke... All these unhealthy things to help my hangover haha.
Back on a detox tomorrow. We're trying to decide whether to go to a festival in two weeks time. If im in the 2ww I won't enjoy it.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 13/07/2014 19:38

Hi ladies,

Those asking about AF post MC... I think everyone is different. Mine were much lighter after my mc. Wish they'd be heavier.... Feel like it would spring clean my womble! haha!

Hope you're hangover is on its way to sodding off Treacle. Sounds like you've had all the good hangover remedies Wink

Sending you hugs for tomorrow Marmalade. I'd never actually booked to see the midwife as I knew deep down something wasn't right. I'm glad in a way as I never had a 12 weeks scan date to dread post mc.

DH and I have been dtd eod in a hope that if I ov I catch eggy. Have been using ic opks but nothing significant yet.

DulcetMoans · 13/07/2014 20:06

Hugs for tomorrow marmalade, I was due mine on Friday so I just tried to ignore it. Easier said than done but work should distract your at least.

Excellent hangover cures treacle, hopefully you'll be fighting fit for tomorrow.

Don't have any post-MC AF advice as not had one yet. Not sure what to expect!

sebsmummy1 · 13/07/2014 21:45

Well I am non the wiser re. ov this cycle. I got strong LH lines yesterday and today around noon, so either I did surge yesterday or my body tried and will keep trying. I'm inclined to believe the monitor so we have had lots of sex and I guess I'll just have to wait and see when AF arrives.

Treaclepie19 · 13/07/2014 21:56

Thanks ladies. I'm feeling much better now. Shame it's time for bed :p

On the countdown to the holiday now though :) 5 more get-ups!

Will be ovulating at the start of the holiday so hoping that being relaxed will mean sperm meets egg! :) the cycle I conceived was half term so fingers crossed!

Boozle80 · 13/07/2014 22:09

Feeling lots better, thanks guys - I've spent all afternoon asleep which will probably mean I'll be awake all night! I'll be very glad when this 2ww is over - the next person who says to me to forget about it all and I'll fall pregnant can JTFO! Don't think it is to be this month, don't know why - I'm normally a complete optimist! Never say never though.

Good luck tomorrow Marmalade - treat yourself to some chocolate too!

Glad you're feeling better Treacle, sounds like you've got the hangover cure covered. I think it does us good once in a while to have a drink induced breakdown!

Metalhead · 13/07/2014 22:14

I'm trying to distract myself with the football tonight and slightly too much wine... hope I won't be hungover tomorrow like you were Treacle! Wink

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 13/07/2014 22:26

Hi ladies!

Phew has anyone else had this orrid muggy weather today?

boozle glad you're feeling better and hadn't caught some icky bug.

treacle am feeling your pain with the hangover. Went to the pub and had two glasses of wine last night and my god I felt awful this morning. Two glasses. Seriously.

foxtrot no advice re AF after mc as I'm still waiting for my first. I, unsure whether to treat day of ERPC as cycle day one or day if first negative of test? I've given up trying to work it out and will just patiently (not) wait for the witch ...

lou from everything you've said I was really thinking pg too. Keeping everything crossed for you. Are you going to test again soon?

marmalade found out last night that good friends of ours are pregnant ... Due two days after I would have been and had her 12 week scan two days before ours would have been too. Really really happy for them as it's taken 18 months of ttc. They were just about to start IVF. Hoping you find lots if distractions for tomorrow.

I've spent my weekend doing all the things I couldn't do when I was pregnant. Decorating, drinking gin and tonics in the sunshine and eating smoked salmon and prawns! Still didn't stop me from having a bit of a cry this afternoon but it has been a whole week since I last got so upset so an improvement. Oh, and this bloody football can JTFO too.

Marmaladecat1 · 14/07/2014 04:09

Thanks for all the hugs and well wishes. I'm just going to have get on with it today.
Will reply later when it's not 4am! Had insomnia for 3 nights in a row :(
I think it's probably stress?
