Ttc after cerazette

Ok so I have read some real horror stories in respect of trying to conceive after cerazette and thought I would share my story or bore you all with my progress (or possible lack of haha)

So I stopped taking cerazette one week ago at the end of the last packet as me and my partner decided we would start Ttc.

First couple of days I had very light bleeding but felt fine then on the third day I started feeling bloated. To date I am still looking and feeling bloated, feel exhausted and have sore boobs and have been feeling very nauseous.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to conceive?

I honestly would say you need both OPKS and BBT, because you can get a positive OPK but not actually ovulate which is confirmed by a rise in temp after.

However you might have missed your LH surge on your OPK's and if you temp has risen and stays high along with other fertility signs I could say that suggest you ovulated. So if you noticed changes in your CM such as egg white consistency days before the rise then that also is a sign you may have ovulated.

How is everyone doing? Im just at the start of my 2ww, although it's starting to feel like a month wait, as it's really after the last af I start waiting for the days to pass

Hi. I'm new to all this so please bear with me.

I was on Cerazette for 2/3 years and whilst on it never had af. My fiance and I have decieded to start ttc so I have come off cerazette. This was 11 weeks ago and I have had no af, not even a withdrawl bleed!. Had been feeling really tired, moody, hotter than usual, nausea and a little light headed. I've done a few test's over the 11 weeks and they have all been negative (last one just over 2 weeks ago) Sad. Can anyone help with what I can do to start af at least so I can start to see when I'm ovulating?

Sheep I'm about CD11 and have been jiggling bits leading up to estimated ovulation on CD14 - we shall see though!

Hi Georgie crap to hear your AF hasn't returned yet and that you've had BFN's. I only came off the pill a little while ago, this is my first cycle, so I don't know about my own AF and whether it'll arrive or not! Normally though progesterone only pills don't give a withdrawal bleed as far as I understand. I don't know how long you're meant to wait but 11weeks seems a long time, have you got a good GP to speak to?

Hi Georgie. I stopped taking cerazette on 14th june, and had no withdrawl bleed, and my AF arrived 25 days after. However while on cerazette my AF becomes more frequent (while being on the pill for just over 5 weeks i came on 4 times). I'm currently waiting to see if AF arrives tomorrow. I'd have to agree with mzzzf about seeing your GP if only to see if they can shed any light on things for you

Update time - so I'm going to be ovulating in the next day or so! Got my positive OPK today but me and DH have been DTD every other day (plus every day of fertile fluid). Were trying the sperm meets egg plan this time around.

I'll soon be in my two week wait also again! Xx

I've been thinking about going to the doctors but afraid they'll say I have to wait a year etc and then probably use thwith excuse that because I'm not a size 8 that will be the problem.

Just popping up again ladies, I've not posted on here for a while although I have been hanging around seeing how you're all getting on.

Just wanted to say to Georgie - it might be worth a trip to the GP to put your mind at rest if nothing else. I had a similar experience to you 3 years ago - I'd been on cerazette for around a year and never had a period while on it. When I came off it I had nothing, not even any spotting, for over 2 months. I went to GP and told him that while i didn't expect to be pregnant yet, I was slightly concerned that I hadn't seen any sign of AF yet. He did the usual, "don't worry, it's normal" routine and said to go back a couple of months later if still nothing. Anyway, I left the surgery feeling better for hearing a professional tell me what I already knew - then I came on that very afternoon! Grin. Even better than that, I only had that one AF because I got BFP the very next month! Grin

I won't tell you what happened this time when I came off cerazette cos that's just weird but good luck and do what you need to do to put your mind at rest Smile.

Mus have been off with my ovulation dates! Got a BFP yesterday with a SuperDrug test, confirmed by dr this morning, booking in appt with midwife scheduled for 28th of this month, scary and very exciting times :)

I'm deffo ovulating right now, just got my pains and dip in temp this morning (two positive OPKs), fx I get my BFP in two weeks.

So so happy for you Fairey!

Siarie, good luck, I have 10 days left of my 2ww - not sure when to test as I didn't do ovulation sticks, so was just going to wait until af is due, what do you think fairey?

Sheep Waiting until AF is due is sometimes less stressful I think, did you temp or anything? I suppose if you know when you are AF is due you don't need to really. I wouldn't know when mine is going to arrive otherwise (since the pills :/)

Hi, I've been lurking since coming off cerazette in May. I'm 29, DH is 33. I'm so impatient and been symptom spotting every month.

I was determined to just let it all happen naturally, but my cycles have been irregular and I want to know if I'm ovulating or not.

1st AF came after exactly 28 days, hooray - but then had a strange short and light AF at day 21 and AF has just arrived today on CD 24. Is it likely I'm ovulating? I'm so clueless. Look forward to joining everyone as we get our BFPs!

Sorry ladies iv been awaythis week on hols, my update is i was due AF in 2nd aug, no af, still nausea, heartburn and now a very faint BFP yesterday, Im goin to retest tomorro as my line really was faint so i want to b sure to be sure. Although i no my body and i really am not myself. Please all keep ur fx.

vince the only way to confirm ovulation is by temping your bbt. I highly recommend it as you will be able to see a temp rise and overall pattern which will show you are ovulating. Go to the fertility friend website and they have loads of videos about it :)

Saire, so confused. Did 3 normal tests all faint bfp, then last night did CB digital it said not pregnant. Im like nearly 1week late for AF, still nausea, heartburn, bloated big time. Its putting my head away. I feel pregnant but i just want a definite answer.

Hello all.
So interesting to read all of your experiences.

I came off cerazette yesterday ready to TTC #1. Have been on it for over a decade so it will be quite a shock to my system. Haven't had a period in that whole time so will be curious how long it will take to return.

Not learnt all the acronyms yet, but I'll try to remember what they are so I can keep up!
