Ttc after cerazette

Fairey86 · 23/06/2014 16:17

Ok so I have read some real horror stories in respect of trying to conceive after cerazette and thought I would share my story or bore you all with my progress (or possible lack of haha)

So I stopped taking cerazette one week ago at the end of the last packet as me and my partner decided we would start Ttc.

First couple of days I had very light bleeding but felt fine then on the third day I started feeling bloated. To date I am still looking and feeling bloated, feel exhausted and have sore boobs and have been feeling very nauseous.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to conceive?

Thanks for reading :)

Indeed, it's crazy how something can control your system for so long and we spend so long trying not to
Get pregnant and when we want to it's all we can think about! Ah well going to try and relax about the whole situation now just found out one of my friends is 3 months pregnant and had taken her 8 months to conceive post cerazette so there is hope plus she didn't have a period for about 4 months after!

I suppose technically, as it is dated from the first day of your last period many of us could be pregnant now haha what a nice thought :)

That is a lovely thought, I know even with that we all have like 25% chance each cycle? I might have a egg working it's way down my Fallopian tubes right now multiplying, but I don't know if I'm that lucky xx

You're right to relax because that helps!

I just need one more for my ovulation crosshairs but I'm already certain that I'm 3 DPO today :)

I cannot tell you the relief of seeing your temp rise after taking Cerazette, knowing you are ovulating is great.

Sheepoverthemoon · 19/07/2014 07:48

Day before my period, still bfn daily. I'm getting annoyed because I'm starting to wonder if the symptoms are in my head or worse caused by cerezette still... I've started having some cramps so preparing myself for af. If I'm still getting bfn and no af by mon I'll go to gp for blood test, it's diff to work out when af is due as only ever had one,so don't know how long the cycle is or how regular it will be the first few months, anyone have any experience after cerezette what af cycles are like? Thanks

Sheep - this time round I have obviously just been unbelievably lucky in that I seem to have ov and conceived straight away (was having periods while on it this time), but last time I came off it (after having no periods at all while on it) it took me 3 months to have my first period then I conceived DS straight after that one. I think it's almost luck of the draw as to how your body will react to coming off bc.

Sorry, that's probably no help to you whatsoever - hope things settle down for you soon Thanks.

kayleighferrie1985 · 19/07/2014 14:47

Sheep i've been off cerazette for 5 weeks now and had my first AF 25 days after stopping. It only lasted from the Wednesday to the Friday, which didn't concern me too much as it had been heavy at times. The odd thing however was i then had a "mini-AF" this week, i think it depends how you react to it

Siarie · 21/07/2014 10:13

6dpo today here ladies, I was feeling normal up until today (woke up really tired and almost fell asleep last night at 7pm). But that might be any cause however I'm intrigued as implantation can happen any time on average between 6 and 12 dpo.

How is everyone else doing? :)

Sheepoverthemoon · 21/07/2014 15:45

Good luck siarie! My af came today, at first I was annoyed as it was late and had lots of phantom symptoms from maybe bc. But I'm ok now and all ready to gear up to try again as soon as af goes away.

maximummy123 · 21/07/2014 23:03

Looks like I may have started my first AF since coming off cerazette 4 weeks and 4 days ago. Hopefully things will run smoothly and I will be able to start ttc properly in the next few weeks.

Loopylinz83 · 23/07/2014 09:39

Good luck ladies. Im currently in my fertile window apparantly according to my app lol and also(tmi about to be told) i had egg white CM 3 days ago and a pain in my right abdo which i hope is ovulation if im listening to my body correctly so plz keep ur fingers crossed. My poor husband will b nakered after this week lol but secretly im enjoying every minute. Will keep u all posted.

Siarie · 23/07/2014 09:48

Good luck Loopy, keep us posted.

Yay for AF Maximummy at least you know where you stand now.

I am now 7/8DPO and had a temp dip the last two days so hopefully implantation! Very low cramps, although not sure I can call them cramps more like pinching sensations. I'm remaining hopeful and will test this weekend, 20% chance this cycle so FX!

Loopylinz83 · 23/07/2014 11:03

Siarie thank u and good luck to u too, sendinf baby dust ur way. One of us surely has to to get a BFP this month lol. Keep us updated.

Yay Fairey, lots of DTD to do then for you soon! Cramps have increased for me now so deffo there, that's not a bad sign though as AF shouldn't be due yet (although it will be my first since BC).

And I'll add that for lots of people it will feel like AF cramps before a BFP :)

maximummy123 · 23/07/2014 12:31

Good Luck Siarie. :)

kayleighferrie1985 · 23/07/2014 13:15

Wishing good luck to all x

Linseyd · 23/07/2014 16:24

Hi ladies first time on here need some advice I've stopped taking cerazette around the 21st June, I had a period 3 days later, then on the 3rd July I had spotting and nothing since I have lots of pregnancy symptoms sore boobs that have grown and sore nipples back ache, nausea, some cramps, headaches ect done a few tests and all BFN !!! We are having unprotected sex often since june so don't know if it's just too early to test I'm not sure anyone else in a similar situation xxxx

Siarie · 23/07/2014 17:32

Hi Linseyd,

You may find it easier to understand what is going on if you use OPK tests or BBT temping. Are you doing anything to monitor your cycles? Do you know whether you may have ovulated? Without knowing when you ovulated it's hard to tell you what is going on.

When is your next expected AF? If you don't know I would suggest testing every few days until you either get a BFP or AF comes.

Linseyd · 23/07/2014 18:01

Thanks for reply Siarie no idea on when I ovulated still no AF I know whenever I stop taking cerazette within 3 days AF arrives but nothing since 23rd June the first week of July all the symptoms started tiredness, sore boobs ect so went drs he said possible pregnancy take a test in 14 days and then if negative every week it's driving me mad what's the temping is that something I could do now at all and is it best to do a test every week what should I do if still no AF heeelllpppppp. xxxx

Siarie · 24/07/2014 09:56

Well I stopped talking the same pill 2nd of July and haven't had a AF either but I took OPK tests to check when I was ovulating. If I had not had done that I wouldn't have realised that it took about double the time it normally does to ovulate this cycle.

I think the pill can make your body confused and thats why some ladies have a good few weeks or even months before their body ovulates and then the cycle really restarts. Luckily I know what's happening in mind but only because I've been tracking it, I wanted to make sure I didn't miss my chance at a BFP for my first cycle.

That said, you are going to have to a play a waiting game as you don't know if you've ovulated and if you have you don't know how many days past ovulation you are. Honestly there isn't anything else you can do because whatever you do now is too late. I know I'm a bit over the top and most ladies wouldn't of started it tracking straight away but I did that because I didn't want to be in your shoes :(

On the plus side, more personally for me. It's the final count down, do do do, do do do do. 7/8 DPO today and I think I may have implanted yesterday which means I could get a BFP any day from now until Weds depending what HCG I started on. Everyone starts on 1-5 hcg and the best tests can pickup 10hcg in urine.

HCG doubles every day at the start so if I started on 5 then I could pickup a positive today/tomorrow, or if I started on one it's going to take a few more days before I see.

I don't know if the implantation was successful but I did feel it, I don't know what else it could have been.

Linseyd · 24/07/2014 11:50

Hopefully you get a positive it's strange as whenever I stop the pill within 3 days AF arrives xxxxx

kayleighferrie1985 · 24/07/2014 12:46

Linseyd i stopped taking cerazette on 13th June, after being on it for 5 weeks. During the 5 weeks i was on the pill i had 3 AFs so figured when i came off it it would be much the same for a while- although my first non-bc AF came 25 days after stopping

Linseyd · 24/07/2014 14:52

Sorry for TMI just had creamy stringy cm is this a sign that AF is due or pregnancy xxx

Linseyd · 24/07/2014 14:53

Also I'm tired , sore boobs and nipples, headaches , nausea , bloated ?????
