The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Ah thanks Nolly! I am really looking forward to it and am hoping it helps pinning all of my hopes on it It's strange about your extra painful AF, is there any other other differences or just that?

Lumen I've bit tried either before but I read a fairly recent study that indicated that acu really did help with a successful round of IVF. If I can remember where I saw it I'll post it here.

When's the scans diffed berries? Hope all goes well for you all.

IamKuma · 28/07/2014 21:10

I typed a whole post and my browser crashed before I posted it ... Angry

Anyway, in short, of the vits I'm taking, the DHEA and CoQ10 were recommended by the FC, the folic acid was from the failed IVF, conception vits I was taking anyway, and the evening primrose I've added on because they are generally good for you!

Jellie welcome, I'm another low AMH - 1.6 and have 1 failed IVF behind me. I'm starting a natural cycle soon and have a 3D scan and dummy transfer tomorrow which should start the clock for the cycle. If the natural cycle doesn't work I would seriously consider a round of IVF abroad.

wild Like lumen, I didn't find the IVF itself particularly stressful as it was under the control of the clinic, I did find the 2ww really difficult which is one of the reasons I would consider IVF abroad so I could combine it with some time out of work.

happy good luck with the final wedding plans - you will have the same wedding date as me, bar 2 years Grin

beaky glad you've round a new acu, I've got my first appointment with Feather's acu on Friday!

barking happy holidays to you - weather here isn't so good today, but it was lovely over the weekend.

Hello to everybody else, and good luck to the berries in the chopper with scans this week.

tigerdog · 28/07/2014 21:17

beaky good news on the new acu lady! We are just off to the canaries, not too far, (MiL doesn't like flying much) and some of the big villas look amazing.

lumen acu may well be worth a try. Are you in London? feather rated her lady but I don't know where exactly she is based. I used to be terrified of needles (to the point of fainting once) but acu is fairly painless (the odd one twinges but it is fine, and I am a wimp!)

kuma hope the lady can work magic for you too!

nolly rant away whenever you need! The MiL dynamic can be challenge, I have sometimes found myself in hot water because I don't adopt the automatic deference that the rest of OH's family show!

I remember you mentioning your painful af before, I also suffer from a lot of pain and sometimes to the point of sickness. A lap showed no endo, so they don't know why. Apparently stress can really add to the pain. Catching rainbows lady recommended a raspberry leaf tea every day, and then two during af. I didn't bother with the one every day, but did drink it when af threatened to show and during af and it actually did make a big difference. It also seemed to make af a bit shorter. Worth a go?

happy St Davids for you! Hope you are enjoying your break - did you get the storms? It has been lovely here, but have been watching the terrible weather on the news.

hi barking! Holiday sounds fab, really happy to see you enjoying yourself.

happylass · 28/07/2014 22:30

Evening all. Barking hope you're having a fantastic time in France.
Beaky great news on sorting your acu lady. Hope it helps.
Kuma glad things are getting going ready for your second cycle. Any idea when you'll be starting? We've got our planning appointment next week and hoping to start in about 5 weeks time.
Love the St Davids Tiger. Thank you! No we haven't seen any storms, in fact the weather has been glorious. Started off looking very overcast today so we didn't bother with the sun cream. Sun was blazing later on so now DP looks like a tomato and I have ridiculous tan lines. Another thing to sort out before the wedding!! Beaky yes we are off on honeymoon, we're headed to Santorini 2 days after the wedding. Can't wait!!
Hi to everyone else. Hope all are well.

Pixie001 · 29/07/2014 07:03

So envious of all this holiday/honeymoon talk! We've been talking about heading off to France end Sept (no plans for a butler) but without knowing exactly when Mr Pixie's op is going to be, sometime mid-Sept to mid-Oct, it's tricky to arrange. This is our priority and I'd be annoyed if we miss a cycle. Beaky yes, as long as they find something when they do sperm recovery we'll crack on with icsi straight away.
For those with cysts, does it feel any different? Is it more painful or anything? Was convinced when I had dildocam that they were going to find some as I've found ovulation really uncomfortable recently and have some pcos symptoms according to Dr Google but nothing showed up.
I had a meltdown when we put a double bed in the spare room that I'd earmarked as a nursery... that and stopping folic when we found out we could never get pg naturally were a couple of bad moments so I can sympathise.
nolly can't believe that all happened so quickly! It frustrates me that they don't use email tho. You'd have been able to let them know then. Glad they could book you in again quickly.
New boss at work today, meeting them for 1st time, hope I get on with them.… wish me luck!

TheRainDrops · 29/07/2014 07:36

Ohhh happy - we had our honeymoon on Santorini too! (Went island hopping for 3 weeks). It is just simply beyond words - best holiday ever! Are you staying on the caldera?

happylass · 29/07/2014 07:55

Ah Rain we've never been before but have heard fantastic things! Yes we're on the Caldera. 10 days in Oia where I plan to do nothing more than lie by the pool sipping cocktails and admiring the view!! Can't wait!!

TheRainDrops · 29/07/2014 13:32

Sounds like heaven! You will not want to leave your hotel, the views are breathtaking no matter how any times you see them! If you like prawns make sure you try some shrimp saganaki while you're there - bit of a local speciality if I recall correctly and totally delicious! Be prepared for the crazy sunset crowds in Oia - literally hundreds of people all applauding the sun for doing what it does every single day!

lumen · 29/07/2014 14:52

Sounds like a great honeymoon happy Grin

lumen · 29/07/2014 17:27

Congrats to feather, rp and win on your scan results am such a chopper stalker and best of luck tomorrow bushy

IamKuma · 29/07/2014 21:24

No useful news from me after the 3D SIS scan, they think I have a polyp or fibroid now, so I need to wait for a hysteroscopy before anything else happens.... it could be up to 3 months for an appointment. I'm to phone them when I get my appointment then I'll start down-regging and start my natural IVF cycle the following month if my FSH is below 15 (which it hasn't been most of time, lowest was 14.6). They told me not to book any trips, so lets hope it doesn't now coincide with the one I've already planned Confused.

Glad to hear all of the chopper berries had good scan results Smile

lumen · 29/07/2014 21:42

Sorry that wasn't the news you were hoping for kuma

tigerdog · 29/07/2014 21:43

evening all. hope everyone is ok.

chopper berries - does that mean you are all fully graduated to the chopper and past 12 weeks now? That seems to have gone very quickly, although probably not for you I'm guessing!

bushy is your 12 week scan tomorrow? Wishing you lots of luck - make sure you let us know how it goes.

kuma that must be a bit frustrating. Can you ring the consultant's secretary and ask them to consider you for any cancellations? I did that for my laparoscopy and managed to get an appointment 10 days later instead of waiting 3-4 months. It makes life so hard to plan, doesn't it?

I feel a bit like I am in ttc nomansland, just plodding along and hoping for the best. FC follow up appointment at the beginning of September but I don't know what they are going to say, as the only thing left is IVF and eligibility for that is 3 years ttc if you are unexplained, so I guess I just have to wait it out.

beakybeak · 29/07/2014 21:48

Oo chopper berries! Tell all about your scans please! So excited for you guys!

Tiger the canaries will be lush at Christmas! Have you found the acu has helped with your painful AF?

Happy santorini sounds amazing, I'm so jealous of all of the holidays since I've been away already! Not long til you can begin IVF soon too then!

Pixie I know what you mean re prioritising the FC stuff, we ended up missing a cycle cause of being away on hols and eventually my first scan for iui was 3 cycles after the appointment! Then it couldn't go ahead anyway Sad I have found that I do get pains and twinges in my lower abdomen throughout my cycle which I'm sure is related to the cysts, it gets worse from time to time too and especially when they rupture. You might have had one that had gone by the time you had your dildocam. How did you get on with the new boss?

Rain how are you doing?

Kuma if my first acu session was anything to go by then yours will be hopefully be lovely too! She took lots of info and did an assessment of me, looked at my tounge and took my pulse! Then I had the needles which was weird but very relaxing. I have a few things she thinks I need to sort so will have one session a week for at least the next 6 and she is going to make me up some herbs to help with the cysts. Overall I felt really chilled afterwards. Let us know how your session goes on Friday.

How are you Lumen? How's everyone else?

beakybeak · 29/07/2014 21:52

Sorry Tiger x post! That is a nightmare if you do have to wait 3 years, do you think they will stick with that? Our dr at the FC just referred us for IVF cause we were "nearly" 2 years. I think they are quite laid back here though.

beakybeak · 29/07/2014 21:55

Gosh sorry x post with kuma as well, that's rubbish, but maybe the acu lady can help? And Gill had a polyp which went away on it's own. I second Tiger too fx for a cancelation if possible. Hope it's sorted for you sooner rather than later.

tigerdog · 29/07/2014 22:01

beaky it is a bit frustrating. A revised policy, stating 2 years ttc for IVF went out for consultation in January. I have emailed asking for an update as to when the revised policy will go live, but they are treating is as an FOI request, and have not yet responded.

barkingtreefrog · 29/07/2014 23:01

Sorry to hear you've got even more delays, kuma, it must be so frustrating.

I'm signing out for a while berries. We're waiting for our recurrent miscarriage appointment then the tests, test results and follow up appointment before we get anywhere near ttc again with our next round of IUI. With the clinic times and waiting time for results I've been warned about it looks like December, which will hit our 3 years ttc mark.

I was doing quite well but all the talk of the clusterdiff berries hitting their 12 week scans and knowing I could have been there with them is just too difficult, especially as the first berry clusterdiff I was part of all have their babies now as well. Feeling very left behind and very pathetically woe is me so I wish you all the best of luck and I'll be back to see who's left when I can ttc again. Hopefully I'll find an empty thread as you'll be hovering in the 'copter - come back and pick me up in December!!!!

OP posts:
Gillster · 29/07/2014 23:03

How annoying Kuma. Hope you get it sorted soon. Unfortunately I think it is quite common in women of our age. You'd have thought they might have picked something up when you did the IVF although the polyps are known to come and go! Have you a deadline for getting the natural IVF cycle on the NHS? Hopefully you can get seen early and not wait 19 weeks like me.

Glad the acupuncture went well Beaky.

Can't believe you have to wait so long Tiger for a referral. I hope they revise their 3 year policy down to 2 years.

Just bought another lot of 3 for 2 conception vits. Hoping this will be the last lot for a while. Stabbing starts in 3 days. We've been told not to have unprotected sex during this cycle. Think I am making up for it in my dreams though if the last couple if nights are anything to go by Blush.

lumen · 29/07/2014 23:24

Saucy gill

Best of luck barking look after yourself and fx for you and your dh

greatbigbushybeard · 30/07/2014 00:14

Lol gil, I found that too!! Thanks everyone, tomorrow is scan day, feeling nervous and apprehensive.

Best of luck too barking, your French holiday sounded fab, do lots of amazing trekking and biking for us and enjoy life x

Pixie001 · 30/07/2014 06:43

barking stay sane and hope you find good things to occupy you and that the wait isn't as long as you fear. Enjoy rest of your hols.
gil hope you get on ok with stabbing-will you do it or have your other half stab you?
beaky New boss was really nice so think we'll get on fine, although I've been filling the role temporarily for nearly a year (had expected a couple of myths...) and so will finally find it hard to let go... probably would have gone for the job if I hadn't been feeling so low about ttc. Amazing how much knock on impact it has on life.
kuma that sucks!
tiger think it's 3 yrs here too for unexplained. Ridiculous amount of time to wait, how much longer is that for you?
Morning everyone else, I'm up to do some exercise before work and try and work off the horrific amount of wine calories from the weekend!

tigerdog · 30/07/2014 09:09

barking that sounds like a sensible plan, to have some time away from ttc and all that comes with it. Hope you manage to make the most of the time, and come back ready for it to be your turn. I have the left behind feeling so much in RL, all my close friends have babies, some more than one child now.

pixie this ttc lark does knock confidence, and no matter how hard we try, does also take over one's life somewhat. I am gearing up for the usual monthly disappointment today Sad

bushy hope it goes well today - will be thinking of you.

gil your turn next then! Good luck with the stabbing.

nolly3 · 30/07/2014 09:50

Barking, we'll miss you but stay sane, regain the balance and see you in Dec.

Thanks for the raspberry tea tip, tiger, will lay in stocks for next month. (can you tell I've given up? Oh woe is me). I wouldn't be at all surprised if the stress makes it worse. Kinda hope it doesn't make AF shorter though as I fear clomid has already done that. Had a bit of a downer yesterday as I was looking forward to clomid being over. and then realised I have another month to go still. WHich means I've been being treated for 5 months now. CHRIST ON A BIKE how hard does this need to be for god's sake.

Decided on a MiL strategy now, by the way. Full-frontal attack. I think it's a winner.

Lumen never tried reflexology, but acu's a good experience to have at least once i think. Thanks for posting the good news re differ berries.

gil super exciting about your stabbing (where else would that sentence make sense but on mnet?!)

Sorry to hear about your frustrations, kuma. Once you're in the system, it's hard to take the delays, isn't it.

hi everyone else. I better go to work and stop bunking off, evern though it's my last week.

nolly3 · 30/07/2014 15:21

ps bushy scan news? how was it?
