The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Chloe and Lumen, keeping everything xed?

Barking sod all this ttc talk, did you see Mark Cavendish's thighs the TdF??

Beaky sounds seriously rough. What do you do again?

Serenity if you are around thinking of you for tomorrow!

TheRainDrops · 07/07/2014 09:11

It's gone weirdly quiet here - where are you all?!?! Hopefully everyone's been off having fun in the rain sun!

serenity good luck today, I hope it's not as bad as you're anticipating.

tigerdog · 07/07/2014 09:24

It has been quiet. I'm here and suffering from Monday morning-itis. Blurgh. Hayfevery sinuses, tired from busy weekend, period pain, couldn't find anything to wear, them got makeup down the front of my top so had to get changed and the shirt I've put on makes me feel fat and uncomfortable! Grumph. Today I shall be mainly hiding in my office with the door shut!

Hope everyone else is ok and having a better day!

TheRainDrops · 07/07/2014 12:13

tiger hate mornings like that. I have (and am regularly reminded by MrP) too many clothes and yet can never find anything I want to wear. Seriously need a Gok Wan type to come and organise the lot into outfits for me. I'm really not very good with that stuff.

beaky I hope going back in today isn't proving too bad. Monday-itis is the worst - I feel very glad that I haven't had it in my current job (going on 8 years now) but it was a weekly feature of my last one, plus Tuesday-itis, Wednesday-itis etc. etc.

lumen · 07/07/2014 13:57

Ha ha, I also have way too many clothes but nothing to wear. This is the first week since stimming that I have fit in my tidy work trousers but after lunch they are now uncomfortably tight. Wore jeans all last week which is allowed but not looked kindly on my some of mgmt Wink

Hoping the quietness in here is because everything is going ok for people.

According to a Dr Google the result of poas should show for me from today but my OTD isn't until weds and I have promised my dh that I will not test early. Confused Not feeling too positive about the result though Hmm

KittenOfWoe · 07/07/2014 14:06

chloe and lumen I have my fingers totally crossed for you.

beaky ahh jeez your work sounds hard love, hope it goes okay. That sounds totally ridiculous re that girl's FB pic, what an idiot.

tiger eep boo to Monday, that sounds like a poop start.... ooor are you just being smart enough to get all your rubbishness for the week out of the way in one go! Genius Wink

I'm having a meh kind of day so far. Had a job interview at 9 today (unemployed at the mo) that I had had a good feeling about, but then the job turns out to be a bit different to how they'd made it out in the adverts. And I don't think i did very well. Le sigh. That was my first interview since 2005 so I guess it was good experience...
Went to the in-laws' yesterday for a Sunday roast with the family (including our 2 nephews who are nearly 2, 1 nephew at 4months old, and a pregnant SIL to boot). It's hard. Must be worse for poor husbs though, as he works with littlies....

Today I am mostly consoling myself by munching on walnuts and having a whinge to our house bunny.

KittenOfWoe · 07/07/2014 14:08

Ahhh lumen you're frigging good to hold out, most impressed. Try to stay positive love.

FeatherFeather11 · 07/07/2014 16:03

Got everything crossed for you lumen and chloe!

Sneaking on at work at the moment and I have lots to catch up on on the thread. Will do soon and mega-post. Xx

happylass · 07/07/2014 19:39

This was obviously made for us Berries Smile

barkingtreefrog · 07/07/2014 19:52

I've had a couple of days in hiding, so this might be a long one!

tiger did you have a good time with your friend?

happy That's amazing!!!!! Grin. Are you back in the country? 2 weeks to go....

rain I had a T25 before this one, I bought it about 7 years ago then upgraded to a T5 a couple of years back. Wouldn't be without one now, we get so much use out of it as a van as well as a camper. So easy to put the bikes in the back without having to faff around with bike racks or take off wheels etc. And it means we can do long drives to the Alps/Pyrenees and just pull over and sleep when we get tired then move on, makes travelling so much more flexible, particularly in Europe. We've also got a full width bed rather than all the cupboards down the side so as well as the flexibility with bikes etc it means when baby comes along the three of us will fit. Oh how optimistic I was back when we decided that Sad.
Glad you enjoyed the needles Smile

kuma will they give you an idea of timescale for natural cycle or do you already know when you can start?

lumen I can't believe your strength in holding out, my will power failed miserably. Will send increasingly strong berry vibes over the next two days Thanks.

chloe isn't that quite early for a first test? Will they tell you the results on the Friday so you have an idea of whether it's all happening (conveniently before the hen do), or just wait to see if the levels have been doubling by the second test? All fingers crossed for you too!

beaky the girl on facebook should be shot or maybe not following her would be less drastic and likely to end in a prison sentence. Hope work wasn't as bad as you were expecting.

rp saw the cyclists in otley, harrogate and blubberhouses. Didn't manage to pick out any individuals, all too fast and too tightly packed for that. No Cav on day 2 anyway Sad. Still, Kittel and Nibali are both on my fantasty TdF league so there's consolation there Grin.

serenity hope all is good with you.

kitten fingers crossed for you, when do you find out?

My weekend was good in the end, avoidance strategy worked in the main. When in the house I managed to be in a different room to the baby the vast majority of the time. Only awkward moment was when I'd asked my mate to sort out the tv so we could watch the highlights, then realised mum and newborn were in the room so couldn't go in and went outside to hang around the bbq instead Blush.

Quick update on me - mc still incomplete 17 days after bleeding started. Levels today still over 800. Another test next week, going to leave any decisions about surgery/medical management until then in case it's not necessary. Still got brown spotting.

In better news the consultant today was lovely and agreed to refer us to the rmc despite not meeting the usual 3 mc criteria. Also reassured me that when we're ready to try again I can take provera to start a bleed if my cycles go awol again, so we won't have that potentially holding us up.
DH has continued to be amazing, when the consultant this morning talked about some of the tests dh asked if he was referring to 'sticky blood'. He's been stealth googling behind my back!! Shock. Was very proud. He also stepped in and asked all the questions he knew I wanted to ask when he could tell I was getting emotional. He's been trained well Wink.

Great to hear you sounding so positive batking

chloechloe · 07/07/2014 20:30

Hey ladies, it's been quiet around here, hope that means that everyone's doing well!

beaky Hope you're first day back at work wasn't too much of a shocker. It's horrible going through stress like that on a long-term basis. Is there any possibility to move firms or go in-house?

Hope you weren't asked too many inappropriate questions at the christening bushy. I ended up in tears at Easter after the grilling I got from DH's horrible relatives.

tiger I hope the week goes upwards from here for you!

lumen You are being very restrained, I'm proud of you. I nearly suggested yesterday that you might want to, but didn't want to put naughty ideas in your head! Not sure if you had an HCG trigger, but if so there is the danger f a false positive if you haven't tested it out of your system, so probably not worth risking it anyway.

Good luck with the job hunting kitten I got my current job off the back of what I thought was a terrible interview. It's so annoying when the job description is misleading. Getting interview practice in is always a good thing though. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hey barking Glad the weekend turned out well in the end despite all the shocks. Great news that you have a nice consultant and that they can refer you straight away. I really hope they can pinpoint where any problems might lie. i know it doesn't help at all when people give positive examples buuuuuuuuut my friend has 2 lovely kids and miscarried before both of them. It's great that your DH is so supportive through all of this, it sounds like you have such a lovely and solid relationship. Before IVF I was taking provera every month to induce a bleed, it really does the job. Give me a shout if you have any questions. It's nice to know you can start whenever you feel ready rather than waiting for nature to take its course.

Yep I thought the test was early too. They do it so they catch any early MCs and then the second test to see how the levels are rising. Of course it can be that the first test is BFN and the second BFP. So I should get a result on Friday, shortly before I have to dash to the airport to leave for the hen weekend. Will have to tell DH on the phone. Angry It's such bad timing, I really don't know how I will cope, nor with how I will avoid drinking at the hen. Even if it is negatve I'll be wondering if it's just too early and so not want to risk drinking. Gaaaahhhhh!! Maybe I can have a few sips of wine with dinner - Surely a tiny amount on a full stomach with loads of water won't do any harm? Or is that totally irresponsible? Or maybe I'll take it upon myself to be chief cocktail mixer and round buyer so I can hide behind tonic water? Help!

In any event I've convinced myself it's not happening as I feel totally normal with no symptoms at all. Sad

barkingtreefrog · 07/07/2014 21:46

Can you poas on Friday morning with DH there Chloe? A first response could pick it up. If it's a bfn you've not lost anything as it could be too early, a false negative means you'll have good news later that day, and if it's positive then you find out together? I've managed plenty of sober hen dos. Once everyone else gets drunk they don't notice what everyone is drinking. Have a couple of sneaky tonic waters while they get tipsy!
I had provera after my last mc as my cycles went awol for months, I just wanted to check that they wouldn't want to wait and see if I had a natural cycle post mc.

chloechloe · 07/07/2014 22:15

Hey barking Yeah I'm already contemplating POASing on Thursday Friday before work. I have some cheap strip tests that should show up 10 miu. Am not sure if they have FR over here. Is it just me or does every day of an IVF cycle bring a new question for Dr Google!?

KittenOfWoe · 07/07/2014 23:03

barking your DH sounds fantastic, bless him for doing his research as well, that's so reassuring. Glad you survived the weekend alright pet. No idea when or if I'll hear back, haha! The phone interview last week went very well, the formal today was a bit hit and miss. Was asked to bring various forms of ID with me today and then they didn't ask to see any which I'm taking to be a bad sign... Grin Yay! Hehe...

chloe ahh it's all good experience in the end deffo, but yeah - it went from being 1 in 4 weekends on call according to the phone interviewer last week to pretty my 7 days a week today. And then the role went from being coordinator for a carer network to stepping in to provide care if needs be. Um... I don't mind getting my hands dirty when needs be, but I thought I was applying for an office job?! Confused So even if I do hear back from then, who knows.

On the fertility front, got a docs appt on Monday morning that the husb should be able to attend with me. Fingers crossed my ultrasound info should be back with the doc by then so we can discuss what next. I'm all over the shop but currently averaging out at a 26 day cycle, currently on day 35. Just getting hacked off now.

tigerdog · 08/07/2014 10:01

Morning all, think today will be a better day than yesterday!

lumen and chloe have been thinking of you both. Hoping and wishing really hard for positive outcomes. lumen impressed with your resolve not to poas early!

barking I did have a good time with my friend, was so nice to see her. Glad to hear you managed to have a good weekend inspite of the challenges. I think you're doing really well in the face of such a difficult time. My oh would have total campervan envy - he really wants one so that we can roam around the uk and Europe in it!

rain I really need a wardrobe update - an stuck in a workwear rut - where is Gok when you need him?!

kitten hope you get some positive feed back from the interview. You never know...

KittenOfWoe · 08/07/2014 10:20

Thanks tiger Glad you had a good time with your mate.

Don't know why I said Monday morning there, my docs appt is Friday morning. Sheesh. Come on brain, you can do it....

TheRainDrops · 08/07/2014 11:56

barking Envy at the T5! My parents had a Kombi when I was small, very happy memories! Great that you're getting the referral to RMU and well done to Mr Barking for generally being a total star.

happy that should become our official Berry emblem I think.

beaky how was work? I hope the stupid pg test girl has been banned from your FB feed.

chloe hang in there, not long to go. Definitely a good idea to do a sneaky test with DH first if you can.

kitten Hope you get feedback soon. It's crap when companies don't get back to you. Hoping you get a nice surprise....

serenity how did your meeting go? I hope you're alright.

tiger My problem is that i buy single items that take my fancy, with no clue as to whether they actually go with anything else i own. PLUS I work in a very young company, so I am often influenced into buying things a 30-something probably ought to avoid! Grin.

I swear my commute in this morning was wall to wall women with those seriously fucking irritating 'Bump On Board' badges. I hate those things, they're so passive aggressive. If no-one's offering you a seat just bloody ask for one you stupid idiot (NB I do offer my seat!). They're also just extremely smug and twee. Grrr.

lumen · 08/07/2014 12:35

rain I saw one of those badges the other day on a lady who wasn't really even showing, I thought she had it on as a laugh. Crazy idea.

Am driving myself nuts waiting for tomorrow morning, been awake since 2am. Aaarrrrgggghhhhhh!

barkingtreefrog · 08/07/2014 14:27

just POAS now.... Wink

OP posts:
lumen · 08/07/2014 16:11

Don't tempt me batking. I can't do that to my dh. He is (1) a stickler for the rules so will wait until tomorrow and (2) feeling like he has been very 'out' of the whole process, although he has been to all meetings and scans and tests he knows that all he was actually needed for was to jizz in a cup. So I will stop complaining to you all and see what the morning brings. Not holding out much hope but just want to know and move on.

Hope your duvet is snugly.

funkymonk · 08/07/2014 19:33

Hello everyone. So sorry for being AWOL.

Had a little skim through. Firstly, where's Bushy? Wasn't it first midwife appt yesterday? How did it go?

Congrats to PUPO Chloe and Lumen! POAS Lumen for goodness sake just POAS!

Barking, already seen your shit news on fb. Good news about rmc clinic though and your very supportive husband. Gold star for him.

Thanks for asking after me Beaky. Hope you had a good relaxing hol despite the wicked arrival of af.

chloechloe · 08/07/2014 20:16

Am just sloping in to say a huge Good Luck to lumen for tomorrow, I really really hope it works out for you. You've done great to wait this long and keep your promise. I hope it proves to be worth the wait! FX.

Aaaand sloping off again as am convinced it won't work out for us. Why don't I have any implantation symptoms g-dammit

lumen · 08/07/2014 20:39

Thx chloe. Fx for you on Friday and Monday!

RevoltingPeasant · 08/07/2014 20:46
