The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

I take pregnacare conception Bushy you are supposed to take them with food - I found they made me feel sick if I took them in the morning so I take them after tea or before bed. Glad your spotting has stopped again.

Win good luck for your early scan on Wednesday - how many weeks will you be then?

Feather sounds like you had a lovely hen doo Smile it's inderstanable that you are worried but I'm sure it won't be happening again. All sounds like it is going well so far though and I am crossing everything for you. If you really can't wait, could you get a private scan done?

lumen · 01/06/2014 11:09

Just popping on to say CONGRATS batking I am so chuffed for you Grin here's hoping for a sticky bean.

chloe hope you ring to speak to normal doctor this week and organise FET. Thx for asking after me, I don't start stimming until a week Weds, they don't call it LONG protocol for nothing. My reflexologist is back from hols so I am back to see her tomorrow and Thurs, cannot wait.

My cat has just brought a mouse in, chased him all around the living room and is now stalking the fire which it ran under, it is going to be a long day.

Oh and I think this IVF thing is stressing me out, loads of my hair came out in the night Hmm last time this happened was when I was sitting my professional exams Hmm

Bald lumen Confused

TheRainDrops · 01/06/2014 11:14

Omg batking! I saw your message just saying bfn and was feeling so sad for you but come back an hour and later as this but I'm on my bloody phone so I can't see the photo!! So so so thrilled for you!!! GrinGrinGrinGrin

beakybeak · 01/06/2014 11:15

Oh no lumen that sounds awful and very stressful in itself. Could it be hormone related maybe? Good thing your reflexologist is back this week. Is there anything you want to talk about on here? Hugs and Thanks to you

tigerdog · 01/06/2014 11:29

Defo a line barking!! Can see it and I'm on my phone. So pleased and hoping for a positive outcome for you.

FeatherFeather11 · 01/06/2014 11:51

bushy I take the viridian ones and they seem to do the job. And thank for the encouragement. I need to be positive about this! When's your scan again? Sorry - fast-moving thread and memory like a sieve.

batking yeah! but be sure to reign me in when I get too dramatic Wink

chloechloe · 01/06/2014 11:52

barking batking Congratulations! The clusterdiff continues! I'm so pleased for you!

Glad you had a fun hen night feather and managed to dupe your friends with your non drinking!

lumen Sounds like the hair loss could be stress related. The reflexology should help you to relax though hopefully. I hope the mouse manages to escape!

I'm feeling much better today thanks everybody for asking. The chest pain is much better although my abdomen still hurts. Have tomorrow off work which I'm very pleased about as I don't think I could face going in.

Spoke to the clinic and 6 eggs have been fertilised, 2IVF and 4ICSI. All have been frozen today which is their standard procedure for a freeze all. Not sure whether to be disappointed or not. The rate seems rubbish compared to the number of eggs retrieved. But I guess it gives us a good enough chance that we will have 1 good one to transfer. They have said this gives us 3 FET shots, so I guess we will defrost 2 at a time.

I think I need to stop trawling the internet for statistics. Is it just me or does every damn day of an IVF cycle bring a new question for Dr Google?!

FeatherFeather11 · 01/06/2014 11:54

X post. Sorry lumen. hair loss and stress go hand in hand. You may want to give me a smack in the hops when I say this, but do you do any sort of mindfulness meditation?

lumen · 01/06/2014 12:16

Smack in the hops feather? Wink Is that like hitting a beer out of your hand? I don't actually feel stressed and I am having a lovely weekend of doing nothing whilst dh is in work. Maybe my body knows something I don't, or it could be one of the numerous potential side effects of my dr drugs.

chloe three FET tries is awesome, at least you won't have to go through all the stimming at EC again.

funkymonk · 01/06/2014 12:37

Barking that's amazing!! What a beautiful line you have there! Getting popping those pessaries!

That's 4 bfp's in a short space of time!

Bushy all the best for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.

Chloe that's a nice number of fertilised eggs and a a good number of frozen cycles available to you!

Feather when is your scan?

Sorry you're los

Good luck for Wednesday wino if you don't pop in again before.

funkymonk · 01/06/2014 12:37

Oops

Pipbin · 01/06/2014 12:41

That is totally a line Barking

Bushy The advice at the moment is that no one should ever take any kind of multivitamin. I was told by the IVF clinic not to take them. Not only are they not helpful but they are down right dangerous. There is a lot of evidence to show that multivitamins taken by anyone are dangerous.
The IVF clinic said folic acid and vitamin C but NOTHING ELSE.

Quote: www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-24563590

^"We found no evidence to support antioxidant supplements for primary or secondary prevention [of diseases of any kind]. Beta-carotene and vitamin E seem to increase mortality, and so may higher doses of vitamin A. Antioxidant supplements need to be considered as medicinal products and should undergo sufficient evaluation before marketing". (See references below).

Just to be clear - "increase mortality" - that means they're killing you. These are powerfully bioactive compounds but they're not regulated in the same way as drugs. Whatever you think about the regulation there should surely be a warning on the pack if there's data saying they're bad for us.^

FeatherFeather11 · 01/06/2014 12:48

Haha lumen! CHOPS! Bloody phone!

funky scan is Friday 13th Shock Shock Shock

wino good luck for Wednesday. Let us know how you get on.

chloe great news re your fabulous six!

bushy will be sending you Berrie vibes tomorrow and checking in lots.

Just got a text from a close friend who was there last night: "should we be popping bottles of scholer in celebration? Wink Don't answer that. I have everything crossed for you this time my darling..."

Hmm
FeatherFeather11 · 01/06/2014 12:51

pip thank for that. Cripes. Best I get down to the shop to get plain folic acid.

funkymonk · 01/06/2014 12:51

Oops pressed send by mistake... Lumen I'm sorry you're losing your hair and I have no experience of that so can't give advice. Perhaps as feather says try something herbal?

funkymonk · 01/06/2014 13:22

Think you've been busted feather!

Pip you've worried me now. Me and dh both take a concoction of vits. Some of them recommended by the clinic in the case of his lowish count to try and improve count.

HampshireBlues · 01/06/2014 13:27

barking that's amazing - congratulations!

Chloe congrats on the fertilisation rate I hope that the wait to FET is not too long. Glad you're starting to feel better as well.

Pipbin · 01/06/2014 13:30

Funky I would talk to the clinic about it, but mine was very very adamant that only single vitamins and then only vitamin C and folic acid were needed. DH took zinc to improve his count and it worked wonders.

Pipbin · 01/06/2014 13:31

Chloe I've been out of the loop for a bit. Why are you having FET?

chloechloe · 01/06/2014 15:06

Looks like you've been busted feather! Thought it was a very sweet sms from your friend.

pipbin The clinic think I'm at high risk of OHSS because of my PCO and the number of eggs retrieved, so recommended we freeze all and wait for things to calm down a bit.

For those of you who are doing acupuncture, are you taking Chinese herbs as well? The lady I go to wants to do both to help thicken up my lining before transfer, but I'm a bit nervous and with rather just stick to the needles. Any thoughts?

Boomgoestheweasel · 01/06/2014 15:09

barking!! Oh I am so bloody pleased! Everything crossed for you that this is a sticky little bean xxx

beakybeak · 01/06/2014 15:20

Chloe that still sounds like a great result. Are you going to put two back or one?

Feather are you going I tell her? I always think that people should mind their own business until you tell them!

Bushy maybe only take them if your clinic say it's ok? Pip that is worrying stuff but I know that vits E and A are known for being potentially fatal if you overdose and I think there is a warning on most vits. I take pregnacare and vit d at the moment and my clinic said that was fine although they've not said anything more than that. I also read up on anything I'm going to take before I start. You just never know though do you, so worrying.

I can't believe we've had 4 bfps in such a short space and so pleased you're continuing the luck in this thread Batking Grin

FeatherFeather11 · 01/06/2014 15:27

chloe yes, I take the herbs - my acu lady premakes and distills it so I do 'shots' of them twice a day. Also take two drops of vitex with it for the last three months. I think you should go with it if you feel it's the right thing. Fertility acupuncturists usually know what they're doing and have worked on people who have had ivf before. I don't know. I think because it seems to have worked for me I'm quite pro-acu at the moment!

FeatherFeather11 · 01/06/2014 15:31

beaky she's a very close friend and knows of the issues we've had. But I think I want to hold out till the scan on the 13th before telling her. Just want to know that this bean is in the right place first.

Hope you all don't mind me having a moan every so often. Every time something twinges down there, especially on the left side, I begin to panic. I don't know what's normal so I feel so out of control. Argh!

greatbigbushybeard · 01/06/2014 16:01

feather that is where I am getting twinges too! I'm interpreting it as burrowing. Know exactly what you mean about telling your clever friend. You could just reply 'I don't know what you mean' Smile which is a kind of admission of sorts.

pip think you've all scared the living daylights out if us re the vitamins. Obv certain vitamins in excess are dangerous esp vit A and there is a fair point that actually it would be better to take them individually and prob cheaper as it's not certain how they all interact with each other. So far I've not taken a multivitamin, sort from when we first started ttc and dh was all keen so went out and got us well man and woman conception vits.
