The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

tiger I watched it! Ridiculously cute, although I think Boodle needs to add Sumatran Tigers to the list of daft things to be jealous of.
No witch just yet, but I'm sure she'll be sweeping in on her broom of doom any minute now.

barking it's MrP's brother's baby. They live pretty close so we'll undoubtedly see them lots so let's see how magnanimous I remain!
A close friend of mine also had a baby on Friday - haven't seen her since she announced she was pg tho so not that bothered there either! (Denial is not just a river in Africa...)

happy you've had some good reassuring advice so I hope you're feeling a bit better. The next month will fly by what with your wedding and honeymoon and then you'll be diffed before you know it!

beaky who is shouting at you? Do you want us to come and sort them out? I'll come and Angry at them.

3 weeks till FC, just MrP's SA to do. I am dreading her telling us to go away again. I am definitely pinning all my hopes on this appointment, which is beyond foolish.

barkingtreefrog · 16/06/2014 22:07

It's not a jealousy thing (although I am getting sick of the pregnacare adverts) but I keep seeing the Scholl 2 in 1 corn express pen advert and every time I see the pen I think it's a pg test Blush. Anyone else or is that just me?

Just another 7 reports to write. I'm managing about one an hour. I need to have finished writing them by Thursday.....
Might have to give up and go to bed for tonight, or I will have finished my birthday sugar box before midnight (DH bought me a mahoosive box of kids sweets) Grin

Thanks for all the comforting words ladies. Am not too worried about the shorter cycles. Looking back I've also had two 27 day cycles this year so I guess it all evens out. Will be upset if we can't start treatment at the beginning of September but I guess it's out of my hands so no use worrying about it.

Kuma lovely to see you. Thanks for dropping in. No idea what my FSH level is like but hopefully will be getting a copy of all results through soon so shipbuilding find out then.
Bushy I just went in to my profile to add the flag
Barking I hear you on the reports. I've got a ludicrous amount to do by Thursday too Sad
Will catch up with everyone else tomorrow. Night!

happylass · 17/06/2014 07:34

I've no idea what the "shipbuilding" that I mentioned in last nights post was actually meant to say Confused. Tired much?!?
Have a good day all.

Bunnygirlie · 17/06/2014 08:22

Shipbuilding?!?!? Lol

beakybeak · 17/06/2014 09:08

Oo 5 weeks will fly here, although I know there will be tons of work before that. I'm a solicitor Bushy and yes Rain if the berries would sort out the shouters that would be much appreciated! How long are you going to wait before poas?? Not long until your next appointment, fx it gets things moving and there's no more waiting for you.

Tiger I think I will take up yoga but I have also made enquires about acu and have to ring a lady today for a chat. Have you thought anymore about trying it? The course would be kind of related, it's cipd level 5, so hopefully it can help give me a change of direction. What would you fancy doing course wise?

Happy shipbuilding is so random! Fx for you that your cycles are a little longer so that you can start in September.

Bunny how are you doing?

I worked out my dates for next AF etc and I think it will be while we are on holiday which means that I'll miss iui for another cycle until the end of July now. Hmm

Tallyra · 17/06/2014 09:24

ladies. first come first served. I have a few opks and hpts and a small.amount of vits left over. now Immi is here and we aren't planning another they are not needed. who wants them?

TheRainDrops · 17/06/2014 10:20

I'd be interested in the HPTs tally - I've given up opks tho, wasn't learning anything! I'm also contemplating jacking in the extra vits, also having no effect and costing a small fortune!! Grin

The witch breezed in this morning so am in proper crampy grump land. Cheered myself up with a masssssive contraband coffee and some Pret granola.

beaky that's a pain, but hopefully will go quickly for you! I had really vivid dreams about the FC last night and the consultant telling us there was nothing she could do for us till I was 35. Fx that's not a premonition!!!

tigerdog · 17/06/2014 12:13

Lol to shipbuilding happy*!

I do have acu at the moment beaky with a fab lady. She feels very confident that I'll get pg only wish i felt as positive I see her twice pre-ovulation each month, as that's her preferred approach. Have only been 4 or 5 times. Not sure what course I fancy, perhaps something crafty or creative writing. Have done a masters related to my work fairly recently so something purely fun would be good!

It's annoying when cycles don't work out but at least you'll be on holiday beforehand so you'll be we'll rested for starting iui.

rain sorry to hear that af got you. I have pret envy though!

Just waiting to have my stitches out, they are getting a bit irritated so will be glad when they are gone!

IamKuma · 17/06/2014 13:08

I'm ok thanks beaky in the post IVF 2ww, another 8 days till otd, but can't stop symptom spotting even though it's still too early. Also having to avoid socialising as I'm not good with the not drinking thing.... then there's the whether to go to yoga, do yoga at home, walk or cycle to work, not drink coffee, drink 2L of water ....

happy I assumed shipbuilding was supposed to be should be getting! I started my IVF cycle earlier than I expected as af arrived on cd23, they didn't need any advanced warning, just a call on cd1. Am I right that this will be a private cycle for you? as they knew I have short cycles the did my first scan after I started stimming 2 days earlier than usual and caught my leading follicle in time. as beaky said, they do suppress and then mature the eggs but they can't do that indefinitely. I don't know exactly what they track but the hormone levels seem to dictate when EC happens, they can't suppress indefinitely until all the follicles catch up with the leading one. all that said, despite my pretty poor blood results I did end up with an egg to transfer. if we do another cycle I think I will go for a natural cycle as all the meds cost a lot and I only ended up with 1 egg anyway.

tiger the choir sounds fun; I sing too and find its a good way to take your mind off things. is it contemporary classical music or other modern stuff?

Tallyra · 17/06/2014 14:49

Ok rain, pm me your address and I'll send them over. Anyone else want a few opks and vits?

happylass · 17/06/2014 15:46

Kuma (actually typed your RL name first of all, oops!) yes it's a private cycle. Nothing set in stone yet as we've only had an initial appointment. Will sort out the details at our planning appt on Aug 6th. But she did say I'd probably have short protocol which would mean a scan and starting on cd 2. How's things with you PUPO one? How long til OTD? Keeping everything crossed for you! Did you go private in the end? If so did you get the drugs through your clinic or take the prescription elsewhere? Need to do some research!

barkingtreefrog · 17/06/2014 20:25

kuma never too early to symptom spot Wink Grin .

Just 4 more reports to do. I reckon if I stay off mn I can get them done by midnight.... Hmm

OP posts:
tigerdog · 17/06/2014 20:57

kuma hope you're surviving the 2ww and keeping everything crossed for you. It's a contemporary choir, but I'm also checking out my local more traditional choir. Think I'll pop along for taster sessions at both. I love singing but I really don't know if I'm any good these days.

How's everyone else?

nolly3 · 17/06/2014 21:23

Evening berries. You'll NEVER guess where I am. that's right! ON THE TRAIN. AGAIN. hence the epic post, apols.

Still, at least it's a chance to use the incredibly shit virgin wifi to catch up with all the news.

otters, how nice to have you back. Sorry about your instadiffer news. I don't know if you read about my Weekend From Hell (Take a Break style) but when I got back to the office my departmental manager, who has been off sick for about 3 months, announced that she had that posh morning sickness that whatserface middleton had and was due at Chrimbo. just saying, even typing 'chrimbo' makes me vom a bit in my mouth, let along 'aw, so happy'. I really wanted to reply all to say "well it's early days, still plenty of time for a DISASTER' but I restrained myself - very proud. I generally don't mind other people's babies, it's just the insentitvity - unless it's someone I hate. and I do hate DM - she's screwed up the recruitment of my new minion at work so sucks to her. Anyway, that was meant to sound sympathetic to you… and also that it's fine to want to scoop out instadiffers eyeballs with a spoon. anyway as others have said, it's YOUR hen and that's all anyone will be thinking of - promise.

beaky you cracked me up about the memory foam. I imagined sinister kitchen implements and hoovers arranging themselves around the house to prevent pregnancy happening. although - I have to ask - Beckham… really?

RP stupid train man. may he be cast into the outer darkness. dreadful re the receptionists as well. It's such a shame that one negative expereince really colours how you feel about public services. not you specifically. one.

bushy and funky i had to laugh at your pics/text stories :) funky so what the move news? shag week = giving it another shot before he flies out?

HB you are another lovely person, much lovelier than me at any rate (NB. I am not fishing. I am happy with my Evil status). Just enjoy the view from the moral high ground and as tiger and everyone else has said, you'll get there.

wildflower quite jelby of your godmothering ('jelby' is appaz what the kids say these days instead of 'envious' - in case you didn't know. I didn't, and had to ask sister for translation). also spare interesting re thyroid - I'm entered on a trial www.birmingham.ac.uk/research/activity/mds/trials/bctu/trials/womens/tablet/index.aspx

which as a social scientist i find intersitng in a 'hmm, chance to experience being a patient stroky chin' kind of way. recommend checking it out if you don't know it already.

happy we too cut shag week short - dp "too tired". fair enough actually but then WHAT IS THE POINT OF ME TAKING THESE SODDING CLOMID PILLS. not to mention not boozing cough which I've cough been totally strict about. stupid pregnancy announcements. they'll all be those ugly babies tht look like boiled monkeys, I feel sure. also - isn't shipbiulding an elvis costello song?

rain happy birthday! why are you so busy - do you have a real job unlike me? hang on til the FC> you'll get there.

feather that is a nasty picture. shame on you!

Rosie your activity weekend sounds nice though exhausting - the sort of thing my DH forces me and I do together. feel v virtous afterwards. plus can eat a shed load of food. is v cheering to hear you're feeling good. long may it last Wine. and of course you're right about the reunion.

tiger hope you're feeling better now? you don't have TB do you?? and am pleased for you that you are happy wiht your job decision. sometimes just having made the decision is a help isn't it.

lumen well done on all your injections. Hope you're not feeling the effects too badly?

kuma 2ww hell. here for a rant.

batking are you guys memnbers of your union? I only ask because you teacher berries all work ridiculously hard IMHO. (ps - with you on makign mean comments. I just ask DH if he's enjoying the view from his high horse. childish but effective).

spare we're thinking of going private too. quicker...

In other news I got cameroon in the office sweepstake, and I foudn out my HoD has been shagging a phD student who he's now promoted above me. yays.

chloe don't beat yourself up. moods come nad go and I'm sure you're there for him when he needs it.

Merk serenity bunny and anyone I"ve missed - Hallo and my train has finally got in so signing off until tomorrow. Night all!

FeatherFeather11 · 17/06/2014 21:41

Hi everyone!

kuma you're back and pupo! Hoorah! Have everything crossed for you.

happy sounds like that is a good plan that you're working towards. I know I sound like a broken record, but would you consider acu to help regulate your cycles?

On my phone and it won't let me scroll back far to see what I've missed. How is everyone?

greatbigbushybeard · 17/06/2014 22:06

nolly what an epic post! love your evil status telling it like it is or how we would like it to be avec our spoons in our hands to wield against unexpected, accidental, 'ooops I fell on a penis and I doth seem to now be with child' insta- bloody-differs!! Your work place sounds like a right hot bed of shame- shagging students and terrible managers.

David beckham is definitely hot, although I liked him better before he started drawing all over himself!!

I am in a union but the work load is the work load, not that much that can be done about it. I do try to negotiate new practices with management to make them more workable and not more workload but our workload has quadrupled since I started a few years ago.

beaky boo to shouty people.

Courses and singing sound lovely tiger

iamkuma good luck with the 2ww. Know exactly what you mean with the will I or won't I re activities in 2ww. I decided I didn't want to do anything later that I'd regret so laid off yoga, sex etc. Do drink lots of water and try and have nice things to do so the time doesn't drag too badly.

Interesting conversation today in staff room. Conversation was about pregnancy and colleague who has a 5 year old said well I can't get pg. we were like you're not rubbish at that, you have a 5year old... Made me think secondary infertility?? I know she struggled for a long time to have her first, gave up a bit, focused more on career, thought about moving abroad and bam got pg and didn't realise for a while. I did think well maybe you should try sitting here listening to you lot bang on about babies and pg and not have any yourself but really want one, how do you like them apples?? Second ttc thwack was teaching my class and the word loneliness came up, I asked them to put it in a sentence. Little boy says ' mrs bushy would be full of loneliness if she didn't have any children' gah!! Now I'm getting pg bother from little people!!

Was our Godson's birthday so was round for little play, non way out his mum says about his brother still having a funny tummy. They've all had the shits and doctor said it could carry on for 2 weeks with little ones. I have since got in, eaten tea and then had terrible stomach cramps and voila I have the shits!! I do often suffer with stomach problems and have a sensitive stomach so can just have the shits anyway but...!! Think if it carries on will have to think about whether I go into work tomorrow. We always tell the kids not to so maybe I shouldn't. But then again will, prob be fine and have work and training tomorrow too.

chloechloe · 17/06/2014 22:09

Evil ipad just deleted post. Grrrrr.

barking and happy hope you get your reports done soon.

rain What happened with your last FC appointment? I really hope the next one is more productive.

It sounds like you made the right decision about the job tiger if you were up all night thinking about it.

kuma Hope the 2ww goes as quick as possible and that it works out for you FX.

Epic post nolly good thing you didn't miss your stop and spend the whole evening on the unpleasant peasant wagon. As a daily commuter myself I feel your pain. Sorry you're having a crap time with the clomid. I have PCO too and am eternally thankful they didn't suggest I take it.

beaky Rubbish timing that you'll miss an IUI cycle, but maybe you'll get a FUFCdiff on holiday instead? Sorry about the shouters at work. Let me guess: clients, partners, the stupid accounts department or all of the above!?

lumen Are you getting through the stabbing ok?I think you have your scan on Friday?

Hi to everyone else before the crappad crashes again...

TheRainDrops · 17/06/2014 22:19

nolly pass me the spoon! Stupidly ventured on to FB this eve which is currently plastered wall to wall with pics/posts from a friend who had a baby on Friday. She's always been very condescending of people who do that kind of thing and yet Lo, there she is doing it herself.

bushy if your tum is still dicky in the morning then stay at home. I had the same (sort of) with a really awful cold I had a few weeks ago. I always demand my team leave the office immediately if they're sick, but there I was parading my germs in front of them because I thought I ought to be there, while they all glared at me from behind their face masks

chloe last FC appt was a year in, before the BFP/MC. I was sent for a HyCoSy and got diffed 3 cycles later before the follow up appt.
The coincidence of the HyCoSy and diff has been bothering me a bit recently. It showed no obstructions, but what if there was and it got blasted out a bit but has since re-blocked? Could endo do that? I don't really have endo symptoms but I gather they're not always present anyway. I will certainly be asking about that at the appt. and also about thrombophilia, just to be on the safe side!
I also want to know if there's any possible link to my awful teenage skin (which only ever responded to being on the pill). I really hope the appt is progress of some sort, otherwise we're going private and raiding our retirement savings.

barkingtreefrog · 17/06/2014 23:09

Chloe WOOHOOOO!!!! I HAVE FINISHED MY REPORTS!!!! just need to print them all out, sign them all and proof read now

Is it wrong to quote the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem in a child's report? I decided it was too far over the line Wink.

nolly There is far more paperwork in teaching now than there was when I started 12 years ago. Primary is difficult with the union thing, there isn't the same strength in numbers that you get at secondary, there may only be two of you in the same union. Most of it is necessary, but a lot of the admin stuff is work that secondary teacher friends (including my DH) would just turn round and refuse to do. I remember a previous colleague telling the head once that something was an administrative task and the teachers shouldn't have to be doing it. He just eyeballed her and said there was noone else to do it and he had asked the teachers to do it, and expected that it would be done. Noone squeaked again. I shall miss being in the classroom like crazy come September, but it's time for a break and I can't wait to get my life back in the evenings/weekends without work hanging over my head. I've never in my life had a 9-5 job! I worked through college and uni during evenings and weekends since the age of 16, then carried on working evenings and weekends at home when I started teaching!

rain I hear you on the teenage skin - I had years and years of different antibiotics, then a dermatologist put me on roaccutane which was nasty, nasty stuff and made me ill, but the only thing that worked was Dianette. Coming off it to get pg resulted in explosion of spots and feeling about as unsexy as you can be - great when more sex is required. My skin calmed down with the acupuncture, but since the IUI started it's been worse than ever - probably down to all the extra hormones I was stabbing into myself.

I went to my last fc appointment with a written list of questions, which I explained beforehand to DH and demanded that he took over and asked them if I hadn't worked through the whole list or got too emotional to carry on effectively. I felt more organised and that the consultant wasn't able to brush me off as easily.

tiger singing sounds good. It's another thing I'll miss with teaching - I do the choir, singing in assembly and all the other music stuff in school. I might have to find something to replace it! You've inspired me!

bushy from the mouths of babes... sometimes it's the things the kids say in innocence that hit the hardest. I remember a colleague when I started teaching who was in her 40s. She was married and had a dog but no children. When the kids in her class asked her if she had any children she would always tell them she had 30. I wonder now whether it was a choice or whether they couldn't.

Right, off to bed!!! Sweet bed!!! The completion of my reports means I can go out for a meal with DH tomorrow night in a vain attempt to take my mind off the scan on Thursday. Smile

OP posts:
greatbigbushybeard · 17/06/2014 23:52

Big up barking for getting the reports done. When do yours go out? Ours aren't til last week of term so I'm doing bit by bit. What's the poem quote? Any tactful phrases to pass on to other teacher berries for those tricky customers e.g. Lazy, badly behaved ones?

Sounds like a good idea to have nice meal with dh.

Kids just say these sorts of things cus that's what they're used to. I remember a spate of our younger staff getting up duffed and on maternity and one quite peculiar little boy insistently asking me when I was going to have a baby!!

Totally agree with amount of paperwork, I've been doing it 10 years & seen a massive increase.

Tummy still unhappy and grumbly. Night night!

beakybeak · 18/06/2014 09:16

Rain yeah endo can "grow" back, it's oestrogen related so it can come back repeatedly. Maybe worth asking for a dildocam to see if there's any there?

Tiger creative writing is great I did that with the open university and loved it.

Kuma everything is crossed for you lady, hope your 2ww flies over.

Nolly oh queen of the trains, (you should change your name haha) yes David beckham mmmm love him! That's so shit about your HoD, I hate that crap. I so wish people would behave properly at work.

Chloe yes to all of those but mainly clients these days. They are never happy and think they can treat you like shit. When are your hols?

Bushy hope you're feeling better today. Boo to the awkward kids questions, my niece always asks me when she can have a cousin. She's so canny though bless her! Just wants a little pal I think.

Barking yey to completed reports! And still sending positive vibes your way for tomorrow. Enjoy your meal. Is your scan morning or afternoon? so I can mn stalk you!

Does anyone else watch orange is the new black?

RevoltingPeasant · 18/06/2014 09:18

Bushy - what an evil child!

Batking, just to say, good luck for tomorrow xx

FeatherFeather11 · 18/06/2014 10:01

beaky yes! I'm addicted!

barkingtreefrog · 18/06/2014 10:53

What is Orange is the new black? Never heard of it.

bushy when she was good she was very good indeed but when she was bad she was horrid. Pretty much sums up the difficult child in my class! My reports need to be in tomorrow. The head reads all of them before they go out.

beaky scan is 2pm tomorrow. Confused

Just waiting for more acupuncture.....
