The Berries: On knockerwatch, sniffing willies and clinging to the coat tails of the continued clusterdiff (thread 21)

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Spare sounds like you've had a tough time, but Wine to the future. Fx your current FC move quickly and there are plenty of pennies in the sofa! I also get that bloody advert.

Batking happy birthday for this weekend! Have a lovely time away Grin

RP I still feel really positive about you, keeping everything crossed and yes the others are right, keep away from dr google!

Bushy yep I meant a full sleeve tattoo especially likes Becks obsessed stalker

Chloe I'd probably assume the same thing at first! Love the phrase accidiff!

Lumen I did also nearly say dildocam and it took me a minute to think of another word instead while dh and my lovely nurse stared at me! Feather can't believe they didn't bat an eye when you said it! Still so so pleased for you Grin

Tiger id say just keep going with the recruitment process and you can make your decision later on, when you need to. Best of luck for Tuesday, it sounds like it will be v.full on but I bet you get it. I'm grand thanks for asking, think have just ov'd so despite saying I was going to have a month off, I totally haven't!

Rosie sorry AF got you but glad you are still feeling positive! Thanks for sharing too Grin

I was in the car with my pops tonight and saw a car with the reg HPT and nearly yelled "Look Home Pregnancy Test!" Ffs!

How's everyone else tonight?

HowsTheSerenity · 13/06/2014 23:39

Morning all (or evening)
How are we all today?
Not much to report here except that AF was due 2 days ago and I've had none of my pre-AF symptoms such as huge sore boobs, eating like a starved raccoon or spotting. I POAS and it was negative. This is my first month off clomid. Do you think that has caused the delay? I'm normally like clockwork.

I have my regimen and I'm still getting my head around the lingo but I'll be on gonal f, cetrotide and ovidrel.
I'm sooooo looking forward to the injections.

HowsTheSerenity · 14/06/2014 00:24

Shit bugger fuck!
Just found out my alcoholic drug fucked whore of a sister is pregnant. Can you tell we get along?
She has three children already which were all accidents.

tigerdog · 14/06/2014 07:37

Thanks for the job advice. My confidence has definitely taken a knock during this ttc business, and it is making me hesitant about taking on something new. I guess I'll give it a go and see what happens. I don't think I did very well in the numerical reasoning test I did yesterday...I wonder how many days it takes following a GA for brain power to return to normal levels?! Not sure I can really blame that mind you!!

I need some of your positivity rosie!

serenity it's just not fair is it?! But it's your turn now...

Off to see a friend and their newborn today. We started trying at the same time. Sad

HowsTheSerenity · 14/06/2014 07:48

Thanks tiger the best situation your her is to have a termination. She let the other kids to her ex DP. Her new DP doesn't want the baby and has left. She is on the dole and social services may take the child if she has it. I'm just pissed that my skanky ho sister can get pregnant instantly and she doesn't deserve children.
And rant is over.

happylass · 14/06/2014 07:50

Morning all. Loads to catch up on once again! Feather I am delighted for you! Hopefully you can now relax a little.
RP I'm so sorry you're still having a worrying time. Still got everything crossed for you though so please don't give up hope Thanks
Happy Birthday Batking. Have a great weekend and enjoy this lovely weather.
Tiger good luck with the job!
It's my hen do with work tonight. Going to be a more sedate affair than the last one! My best work mate's DH recently bought her a hot tub for her birthday. So hen do is at hers. Should really POAS if I'm doing hot tub + alcohol but don't even think I've got a pg test in the house. Bad Berry, I know!! Otters my wedding is mid August so you're a few weeks before me.
Anyone else starting IVF/ICSI early September? Looking at my dates I'll hopefully be starting within a few days of coming back from honeymoon. No point in waiting around!
Hope everyone else is ok. Have a great Saturday all!

winohhh · 14/06/2014 08:24

Morning berries! Just popping in... Still away with work and have had no time over the last week, and prob won't next week either. I've been trying to keep an eye on you all though! Great scan news bushy, feather. Great blood results barking. RP, I'm still hoping for you, everything crossed.

I'm still fretting about the pregnancy. I can't remember who asked If I'd have another scan after my one at 6w2d? But, yes I will, I can't stop the mental! I have another one booked for 9w1d, which is the week after next. I've not had any bleeding etc, which should be reassuring but isn't, because I had no bleeding last time and that didn't end well. Feeling nausea on and off, but would give anything for proper morning sickness!!

TheRainDrops · 14/06/2014 09:43

Hello! Brief check in from my work residential jolly.
So thrilled for you feather - May the next 8 months be totally boring!

Happy bday bat - it's mine tomorrow - June birthday twins! Grin

I hope everyone else is good. The witch is due on Monday. It's be a lovely birthday present if she'd just fuck off. Please.

Will catch up properly when I get home tomorrow. Xx

FeatherFeather11 · 14/06/2014 10:36

Happy birthday batking and rain!

happy that sounds like a proper plan, which is great! Hoping you get a FUFC bfp before though. Have a great hen do! Hot tub and booze sound dreamy! Can you get your paws on a test? How are plans for the wedding coming along?

rain thanks for the well wishes. Would it be worth you poas today or tomorrow? Grin

win know what you mean about the anxiety. I may have to follow suit and get a private scan otherwise I'll go weird. No sickness at this end with yet except for the odd wave of nausea, so worried about that too. Flowers

rosie great that you are feeling so positive! Doing anything nice for your birthday?

serenity my cycles were really long after I came off clomid last October/Nov. Clomid regulated my cycle for the first time I my life. Hope you're ok. Sounds like a difficult situation you have there with your sister.

Go tiger go! You can do it! All these tests sound terrifying - must be one hell of a job! Have a good feeling about it though.. Grin

beaky lol re hpt plates! It's funny how Berrie lingo is now ingrained. When I said dildocam yesterday there was ZERO reaction from the nurse. Oh is used to me referring to it as that. How are you anyway??

rp how are you doing today?

RevoltingPeasant · 14/06/2014 11:24

Happy weekend, all. We are having a riveting day of going to B&Q to look at masonry paint samples (actually I am quite excited as I love DIY shops and am excited about getting the house repainted) and food shopping.

So far the bleeding seems to have slowed down a lot. There was less on Thurs and Fri, and today I have been brave and decided not to wear a pad anymore. I don't know if that is because I have lost what there is to lose or because things are getting better Confused

I am going to assume the former because it will hurt a lot if I start hoping and then get the sympathetic 'sorry' on Monday morning. So, am assuming the worst.

Batking you are on for Thurs right?

Win how far along are you now, ie when is your 9w scan?

Feather and Bushy have you ventured to the chopter yet?

FeatherFeather11 · 14/06/2014 11:27

rp I am sending you all the Berrie power I have Nd hoping it's good news for you on Monday. Have dipped my toe in the chopper, but aware of what happened last time so I plan to straddle for a while.

FeatherFeather11 · 14/06/2014 11:29

Also, thought you'd all be amused by this. Allow me to present you with the latest innovation in men's swimwear, the banana sling! Shock

Sorry. I know. It can't be unseen. But I as it on twitter and had to share it.

happylass · 14/06/2014 11:42

Haha Feather. I sent my DP that pic the other day saying that's what I expected to see him in on honeymoon Grin. Wedding plans are ok thanks though I haven't done much lately as I'm snowed under with reports. May see if I can pick up a test when I'm out later though not sure there's much point now as FMU has long gone and it'll only be BFN anyway
Win glad all is well and you're hanging in there.
Rain AF due here on Monday too. Cycle buds!
Right I'm off for a cheeky picnic in the park with DP before we go our separate ways for hen/stag dos later on.

greatbigbushybeard · 14/06/2014 11:55

happy you have to buy one for your dp And sneak it into his suitcase on honeymoon!! I do worry about that chaps white bits, they are gonna burn!!!

I've ventured over to the chopter, once feather joined in it got more lively but as feather says a straddle is the best and also I really like you ladies so do 'to want to miss out on the chat!! Dh had to ask me last night what was so funny because I was reading about the dildocam!!

I've finished my mum's scrap book which I'm making for her 70th!! Yay!! Quite pleased with it, never done anything like it before but looks good. Gotta wrap presents, de skank and have a shower and get ready for afternoon tea! Nom nom! Happy hen/ birthday/DIY/ weekend everyone!

beakybeak · 14/06/2014 12:29

Tiger channel your male side, they never doubt they can do something even if they've never done it before, they just dive in. Also they have supreme confidence/ignorance combo but it seems to pay off. Grin

Happy hot tub and alcohol sounds amazing! Have a fantastic time Grin let us know how you get on poas. You have a busy and exciting few months coming up eh! I think if my iui doesn't work in July, I will be doing IVF next so would probably be around September too. Fx neither of us need it though!

Win everything sounds like it's going well so far but I totally understand your worry. Hand holds here if you want them Smile

Rain fx for a birthday bfp for you! Enjoy your weekend otherwise and happy birthday for tomorrow! Wine Cake

RP we are off to wickes! For tiles though. Am trying to bribe dh to take me out for food after DIY! I will still keep everything crossed and keep hoping all is absolutely fine for you but totally understand why you don't want to get your hopes up. Thanks

Feather that pic is rank! My dh showed me the other day and I said I'd divorce him if he ever wore it! Was a bit worried as well since our hol is coming up!

Bushy the scrap book sounds amazing! Shame we cant see a picture. Have a lovely time celebrating! I love afternoon tea so am quite jealous!

Batking happy birthday! Hope you're having a lovely time Grin

I've just turned up 2 hours early for my eyelash appointment! What an eejit. Am really annoyed at myself!

beakybeak · 14/06/2014 12:40

Ooo look at this...I love Tatty Devine jewellery!

The Berries: On knockerwatch, sniffing willies and clinging to the coat tails of the continued clusterdiff (thread 21)
WildflowerMarmalade · 14/06/2014 15:15

That's fantastic news feather! So happy to hear that.

Otters good luck for ov weekend and wishing your OH much strength to keep up the pace.

tigerdog hope you are feeling ok now. Your nurse is gorgeous, by the way. I love the advice from beaky to channel your male side for the job interview! Confidence/ ignorance is a winning combo.

I really hear you tigerdog on the 'unexplained infertility' diagnosis. I'm in the same position and also feel torn between being glad that there is nothing wrong and wishing that there was an identifiable problem which could be fixed.

The consultant I saw said that IVF could provide more information because after monitoring and observing one cycle they would gather some additional information. He said that after a first IVF cycle they would likely be able to give you a slightly better idea of your chances of conceiving. So after seeing how you respond to one cycle they will have more info to go on and will hopefully be able to offer a more informed opinion on how likely you are to have a baby.

It'd be interesting to know if that matches the experience of IVFers here.

Rosie I loved hearing about your fantastic reaction to the school reunion. You so would have rocked that place, and now they will never know what they missed. Sorry to hear about AF but thank you for the loving kindness, same back to you.

rp I too love DIY shops and am quite jealous of you having a sound reason to go to B&Q. Hoping for a good week on the way for you.

Good weekends to all. I've just been for a swim and sauna. I did half-wonder if a sauna was wise in the 2ww, but I bet they do it in Finland all the way through to full-term justifying myself .

happylass enjoy the hen-do and barking happy birthday and have fun camping.

OttersPocket · 14/06/2014 18:01

Oh god, I need some Berrie support. My bridesmaid is taking me to the theatre tonight because DP is on his stag weekend. She's just announced she's 7 weeks pregnant and they fell on the first month of trying.

I'm happy for her of course but I feel like I've just been stabbed through the heart and pinched in the stomach. How the fuck do I get through this evening when all I want to so is drink wine and have a cry?

sparechange · 14/06/2014 18:26

serenity and otters
Sending some un-MN hugs your way. Why oh why do some people get all the bloody luck? T'isn't fair, but it will be our time soon…

Do they know you are TTC?
I can't bring myself to ever tell instadiffers, lest I hear the usual 'relax/get drunk/have you thought about taking a supplement/it is nature telling you something' lines and it calls an end to the friendship!

On a separate note, does anyone have any experience with thyroid tests? I had a bloodtest for TSH during the FC appointment last week, and they called to say my result is 4. A normal range is 0.5-5, so it isn't any cause for alarm health-wise, but for TTC, higher TSH is linked to failed implantation and MC.

So they are putting me on thyroid medication and want it to come down to 2.5 before they will start stabbing. He said maybe 3 at a push, but 2.5 is optimal. I've consulted Dr Google and it seems there are a number of docs who think the normal range should be redrawn to 0.3-3, and lots of people display symptoms of under active thyroids when their TSH level is between 3-5.
So I'm kidding myself that is why my weight has crept up over the last year!

greatbigbushybeard · 14/06/2014 18:46

Oh otters that's totally crap. What a double blow, she's your bridesmaid, she's pg and in the first month. How do people manage it first time?? I know what you mean re being stabbed through the heart with it and just wanting to cry. Does she know about your situ? It was really hard for me when colleague e mailed me because I wasn't on fb to tell me she was pg and that was a 'surprise', not sure how I'd feel if it was someone who I was close to that got pg straight away. I've had lots of friends get pg but they'd been trying a while so was pleased for them and the others were people I could put in a box and not deal with that often, if you know what I mean. If you're still going to the theatre, I suggest a big glass of wine before and at the interval. I suppose the thing to remember is she hasn't done it to spite you, she is clearly a good friend if she's your bridesmaid so maybe she'll understand but then again as she's an instadiffer she has absolutely no idea what it's like. It's just really frustrating for you, also is it mean to say she should have kept her mouth shut to not steal focus, I mean she's only 7 weeks, is it because on your hen she wouldn't be able to cover not drinking? Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, that's shit and I feel annoyed for you.hope that doesn't make me sound like a callous cow.

Had a really lovely afternoon tea, mum loved her scrapbook. Lots of fun had looking back at the hairstyles of the different decades. Got back though and knew there was brown spotting on pad, which I've got used to but I wiped and it was pinky red- noooo! Will it just go away, I hate it as it makes me worry again and sends me into a negative mood that I'm losing it. I can deal with the brown blood but I don't like this as know red isn't good. Still it was only when I wiped and it's not heavy. I'm now stretched out on sofa trying to take it easy ,thinking that might help.

chloechloe · 14/06/2014 18:49

Happy birthday batking and rain and happy hen do #2 happy. Gosh that was a mouthful.

winoh Lots of people don't get any morning sickness at all, so please try not to worry (easier said than done).

serenity It's so unfair that some people get pregnant so easily / accidentally despite not looking after themselves. Sorry you have to deal with that. Sounds like you will be on a similar protocol to the one I had.

rp I'm sending you lots of positive vibes for Monday and hoping that it works out for dino.

otters Sending you lots of hugs. It's lovely news for your friend but really shitty to deal with. I really hate it went people announce pregnancies so early. It shows they inhabit a totally different planet where the risk of mc doesn't occur to them. instadiffing as well just puts the cherry on the effing cake. Have a big glass of wine before you go!

wildflower I wouldn't worry about the sauna. I live in Germany and have often seen pregnant ladies going for a steam or sauna (but not the really hot ones).

chloechloe · 14/06/2014 18:58

Cross posts!

bushy Please please try to remember the good news you had at your scan! I know it's worrying, but lots of people bleed during pregancy and have healthy babies.

spare Yes basically the TSH "normal" range really needs changing. For TTC it really should be under 2. I also discovered I'm hypo when my gynae checked my levels when we were having trouble TTC. After I started taking thyroxin, I felt amazing, I swear it has changed my life. I always used to get really tired in the evenings, but I just figured I worked too much and didn't get enough sleep. Now I feel like an entirely different person.

tigerdog · 14/06/2014 19:40

Oh otters. Life is cruel sometimes. Poor you. Sending lots of love and berry power your way. You will get your baby though and in the meantime think about your lovely wedding and all the good stuff.

bushy put your feet up and relax! the worry never ends eh. Sounds like a lovely day you've had though.

rp thinking of you too and still sending lots of hope your way.

spare there was definitely someone who has a thyroid issue but I can't remember who....possibly because?

wino glad to hear you're doing ok but I guess the mental doesn't stop until there is a baby in your arms then it's a whole new world of mental

beaky love the advice. I will channel my inner man!

Have had a mixed day. I've had lots of baby cuddles with my friends baby, lovely but also made me feel sad. Also managed to fall over and skin my knee wearing sandals in the rain, which almost made me cry. Sad what a bonehead! Off out with OH's family for a meal tonight. Will definitely be having wine.

tigerdog · 14/06/2014 19:43

Happy Birthday barking and for you tomorrow rain!

Hope you have a fab hen happy!

chloe under 2?! Mine is 2.6 and I'm always tired....

RevoltingPeasant · 14/06/2014 20:14

Oh Bushy! I can just imagine how that must have made you feel. But you have just had good news. And you can boo and pay for a private test next week and every week of the first trimester if you want.

Relax as much as possible and think positive thoughts. mind you I am a massive hypocrite
