Oh winky, I'm so sorry. Why? Have you both spoken about how you feel? X

winkywinkola · 22/09/2014 10:28

Well, he's right. I have 4. I'm 43. I should just get on with the rest of my life. Do other things too instead of getting disappointed every month with AF.

Why do I yearn for another one? It's overwhelming.

Inshock73 · 23/09/2014 08:12

Morning everyone! ((big waves)) :)

Just thought I'd pop on and see how everyone is doing.

Huge huge huge CONGRATULATIONS Ginger :) So thrilled for you x How are you feeling?

Sending you a big hug Tranquility, how are you feeling now?

Stubborn my GP and consultant said falling pregnant once you have an appt with a fertility consultant or are about to start fertility treatment happens a lot, they both believe it's because you relax and stress is reduced. I firmly believe that's how we conceived. A couple of months ago I decided after a year of ttc that I'd had enough. I told DP and returned to my morning coffee, my normal diet of a glass of whatever whenever I fancy and chocolate. After deciding I'd had enough I stopped worrying whether we were doing it at the right time and life got back to its normal relaxed state and then bingo!

How are you getting on with your needles Annie?

Hello to all the new ladies ((waves))

As for me, it's been an interesting couple of weeks. Weekend before last I ended up in A&E, got up Saturday morning to a very heavy and sudden bleed, after waiting 7 hours (yep 7 hours!) to see a doctor I was toid EPU was closed so I would need to come back on Monday for a scan. So back I went on Monday for a scan, I was poised for bad news but despite only being 9 weeks the scan was so clear, little arm and legs buds and a strong heartbeat. I'm now 10 weeks. I should have another scan at 12 weeks but I've spoken with the midwife at my GP surgery and she's so busy she can't give me my first appt until I'm 14 weeks so I need to arrange my own scan directly with the hospital, have to admit I already feel like I'm on a very overworked conveyor belt. In the meantime, I was signed off work last week and told to rest and the midwife has said to take each day as it comes. I am a little worried as I have no pregnancy symptoms! Had sore boobs for a few weeks but they've now gone, no morning sickness, no symptoms at all. I'm either incredibly lucky or there's something lurking around the corner.

Tranquilitybaby · 23/09/2014 16:36

Oh inshock what a roller coaster. Do they know what caused the bleed?
I'm ok, can't believe it's been a week since it started, Bleeding's finally stopped x

stubbornstains · 23/09/2014 19:11

Wow inshock- stressful much?! Thank goodness all was OK after the bleed. I think quite a few people post on MN saying their pregnancy symptoms have temporarily disappeared about 9/10 weeks - apparently it's the time when the pregnancy starts to be sustained by the placenta. I bet you've done more Googling than me on the subject though!

Re: the midwives- yes, it's shocking how overworked they are, isn't it? Meaning we don't get the care we should...Angry. During DS's pregnancy, our community team of MWs should have had six members. It was never more than five, and often four. Five years down the line it's still the same!

Glad you're at least physically better tranquility xx

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 24/09/2014 17:34

Bump.
Hi so pleased you were okay after that bleed. I bet it put the fear of God in you though.
Hope everyone else is okay.
I hope to God I'm wrong but I think the witch is on her way, she's due Sat. I feel all heavy and wet underneith, and I also have the mahooooosive spot that I get pre the whitch's visit.

Katewright699 · 24/09/2014 18:10

Hi girls, just wondered if you mind if I tag along lol ... I'm 35 and hubby and I have decided to try for number 3.. I've been off bc pills for a couple of weeks now and had a small 2 day bleed on the 3rd and 4 th day and nothing at all since then...

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 24/09/2014 19:36

Hi Kate. Welcome aboard. x

Katewright699 · 24/09/2014 20:08

Thanks very much ??I have no idea when to expect AF to turn up as was bleeding almost all the time when I was on cerazette but as far as I can remember I was about the 25 th of the month before I went on cerazette ( was on microgynon before) and had a 28 day cycle xx

Tranquilitybaby · 24/09/2014 22:34

Katewright699 · 25/09/2014 08:41

Thankyou tranquility :) xx

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 25/09/2014 14:24

Hi everyone. Hope all is well. Just popped on really quickly to let you know that as I thought the witch showed up this morning,It has only been a 26 day cycle this month only very light mind. Looks like that week of dtd never paid off but still it was fun. Just googled my fertile dates for next cycle 3-7 Oct.
Be nice to have a few days off from dtd. though while the witch is hanging around.

Katewright699 · 25/09/2014 14:47

Ooooohhhh not too long to wait until next fertile time lighthouse !!! Good luck in advance :D xx

stubbornstains · 26/09/2014 03:13

AnnieHoo · 26/09/2014 09:58

Aw ginger!! I'm so happy for stubborn! This is a great thread to be on! I'm sticking around but in the background!! Smile how are you getting on? Oh I've got my fingers crossed so tight for you it's a sticky bean this time. I think it isSmile.

I'm feeling the best I have all year! The Clomid was a LOT harder on my body and mind than this IVF business (so far!). Its still early days but I went for a Day 5 Stims scan yesterday and my follicles are growing slowly and steadily at the same pace. Feels so good to be getting help. Going for another scan on Monday and dr said it's looking like "nothing will happen until Friday". Not expecting it to work but hoping it does by a bloody miracle!

Welcome kate - hang in there ghost! Our time will come x

Tilly73 · 26/09/2014 10:11

Massive congrats stubborn!!! GrinGrinGrin Keep lurking on here (and all the other ttc threads!) love to see a BFP SmileSmileSmile

Katewright699 · 26/09/2014 12:29

Thanks for the welcome Annie :) it's such a turd not having the foggiest idea when my AF is due so I'm panicking that if Its not due for a couple of weeks then I'll ovulate and bloody miss it !!! Shock

stubbornstains · 26/09/2014 19:17

Thanks for all the congratulations cluckers Grin. It totally hasn't sunk in yet, at all.....it was so tempting to post over the last few days when my temps went up and stayed up, and AF didn't come, but I'd got my hopes up before, to no avail......

I haven't told anybody in RL yet! DP's not coming round this evening,as he's got some work to finish, and I can't bear to tell him over the phone. He knows AF's late though, and sent me a hopeful, kind-of-fishing text earlier, but he'll have to wait until I see him tomorrow.

Now I have to steer a line between total elation and absolute terror and apprehension (adopts Churchillian stance), for this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. It is merely the end of the beginning Grin. There's a whole 8 weeks (ish) to get through before that first scan.....

Oh yes, and guess what? The letter from the fertility clinic arrived- this morning!
