Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

city angel i really hope we get a double buddy BFP!! i am going to sainsburys in a mo and will be extremely tempted to buy a clearblue digi...it didnt fail me before!!
pains in tummy have changed today to like a dull ache (same as a/f) so i think she is giving me a wink and a nudge to say she will be making her unwelcome entrance soon
you have such strong will power to resist for 10 whole long 24 hour days!! good luck xxxxxxx

cityangel · 18/10/2006 16:55

Fortunately this month I have got more distractions to help with the 2ww.

Tonight I am going to empty the contents of our living room and cover the walls in samples!
I also got to keep my contract jobposition and will be taking over from my boss so quit job hunting!

I am seriously considering online charting and the Clearblue Fertility Monitor. Bloody expensive though!

Good luck with resisting or not!

desperate2bmum · 18/10/2006 17:50

yeah i am going to try temping and have looked at the fertiloty monitor.
tried temping at the beginning of this cycle but trouble is i wake up at 5am for work during the weekend and at weekends between 8/9 so chart wouldnt be accurate.
might do a bit more research on fertility monitor.
good luck with the decorating! is it a new place or just fancy a change?

Natty1806 · 18/10/2006 17:58

I do my temp at 5.30 every morning, at the weekends i just set my alarm do the temp and go back to sleep. x

lovelybird · 18/10/2006 19:01

Hello all and congrats to the BFP's. I am charting this month and following the Toni Weschler book which is great. CD 15 so far and no sign of OV, so expecting some signs soon.

cityangel · 18/10/2006 19:56

Hi all :0) Hey d2bm. The decorating has ground to a halt because of the football! We've been here 3 years and got married this summer and now really need to decorate! Hey Lovelybird I OV on CD18 so keep at it. I find it really annoying as I am going to lose my cycle buddy d2bm and any others as everyone else seems have shorter cycles

I have been charting for a couple of months and find it useful. The 2 decimal basal digital thermometer helped. Once you get into the routine it's fine.

I think its important to be a bit careful that it doesn't become all consuming and is used more as a rough guide. We found last month that you can misinterpret the temps to think you are not OVing and not try when you should

I have my mobile alarm set with a 'recorded message to remind us 'temperature and have it next to the bed so I don't accidentally go to the loo first! I agree with the weekends being difficult. I agree with Natty and set my alarm early too. The problem was this really disrupted dh and put him in work mode and left him awake too early. Its hard to try and convince dh ttc isn't all consuming if he wakes up to it every day.

I find weekends and particularly alcohol the night before disrupt the charting most but I still find it very useful. If you think about it you get about 12 24 hour windows annually for the egg to pop out and find some awaiting sperm so its easy to miss that window. I said to dh if we're trying properly there?s no point in thinking we have problems if we're simply just missing that window completely so we agreed to temp.

So who else do we have left on October? Any new MN October bunnies out there?

Rubles you are due at a similar time to me I think? I am 28th you are 31st?

Zillions of baby dust to all

desperate2bmum · 18/10/2006 20:23

dp would not be impressed if i set my alarm for 5am weekends aswell as weekdays, he moans enough as it is at themoment about me waking him up!
agree about the alcohol bit too, i am rather partial to the odd bottle of blossom hill at weekends which interferes with temps too.

cityangel - we have been in our place 2 years and feel like we are stuck in a rut as all major works have been carried out its just the finishing touches but i think they are the worst because the job is so small you just tend to put them off (well my dp does) we have still got our bathroom and conservatory to do.

i hope we get some bfps before the month is out and can end on a high
babydust to all.........

rubles · 18/10/2006 20:23

yes cityangel, i am due af on the 31st. I shall be all on my lonesome here I think, so I shall be looking to the November thread to give me commiserations/congratulations when the time comes.

coggy · 18/10/2006 21:44

.............my body must be so used to alcohol cos it doesn't seem to affect my temps!!!

I'm on my first month of using the CBFM and so far so good....I will let you both know......

MrsMcJnr · 19/10/2006 12:06

Alcohol and time don't seem to effect mine either

cityangel · 19/10/2006 14:07

Hmm must be me then! Quick silly question. Is using the OPK sticks the only way to tell you are ovulating. I am trying to work out whether my aparent monthly AF is real or not... I would have had no reason to think not apart from the fact that my temp charts yo you up and down without an obvious coverline. More like steps...
Next month I am going to put them online for some advice

rubles · 19/10/2006 15:09

You can put your temps here if you want Cityangel.
Do they zig-zag all over the place then?

desperate2bmum · 19/10/2006 15:14

hello ladies today will probably be my last day of posting on here until the weekend is out as ive got tonnes of stuff going on (makes a change) just want to wish you all oodles of babydust and bfps and i shall be back monday at the latest for a full report on any news!!!
have a good one all xxx

endlesslove · 19/10/2006 17:48

Hi girls

I have copied this message from the November thread but figured it would be better to post on here as if my af were to show up (and just wishing and wishing and more wishing that it does not for 9 months) it would now be in October and not November (I've ovulated slightly earlier than normal). It can be annoying being on the borderline of every month! So HELLO!

Well CD17 and got a positive ovulation test this morning. Bit strange though and don't know if anyone can advise me, but my CM is not egg white like last month. (TMI alert...) CM is wet and I feel a wet sensation all the time today. Does this mean that I don't have the right "environment" this cycle so should just forget my chances?

Couldn't baby dance this morning as running late for work so will get some action in tonight. I haven't told DH that i am apparently ovulating as don't want him to feel stressed out!

I babydanced yesterday morning and also on Tuesday morning so should be ok for not baby dancing this morning.

BABYDUST TO ALL

desperate2bmum · 19/10/2006 18:28

hiya endless and welcome ((((hugs))))

i dont ever get ewcm when i get positive opks which is partly the reason why i brought the pre-seed to give my body an extra helping hand.
still bd as much as poss as i dont think its crucial you get ewcm to conceive.

hth

PinkButterfly · 19/10/2006 18:42

lots of babydust endless ))))))))*)

endlesslove · 20/10/2006 13:58

Hi there thanks for the support.

CM changed today - more egg white. Sorry for TMI.

How are you on your cycles?

I hate this bit now - the dread 2ww.

xx

lovelybird · 20/10/2006 19:02

CD 17 for me and temps still low and no obvious difference in CM, but me and DH have broken up today for a week off work - yippee, so lots of bding for us, as we won't be too knackered.
Hi City angel, I am using the charting as a guide and bding when we have the energy. My cycles have been very irregular for the past few months so i'm hoping the temp thing will give me a clue as to when I OV as up to now I haven't been able to work it out at all. Think I should join the november thread as well, as I think AF will be early nov, but could be Oct, who knows!

MrsMcJnr · 21/10/2006 14:08

Hello . Thought I'd come and see how you are all doing.

Citygirl - alcohol is meant to affect your temps so that's a good thing if it does. Maybe I just have too much in my system for it to register a difference .

Desperate, hello

Endless - time to relax now and see what fate has in store, lots of babydust to you

Lovelybird - I am coming round to the thinking that it would be better to BD just when we feel like it all cycle rather than just focusing on fertile times but to be honest, we don't refrain the rest of the cycle but there does not seem to be much going on unless we make a concerted effort during fertile time. Not for any other reason than our lifestyle

Babydust to you all..........

desperate2bmum · 22/10/2006 10:38

a/f has arrived goodbye girls and tonnes of luck xx

cityangel · 22/10/2006 19:36

Desperate2b cycle buddy I am sorry AF has come along big remote hug grrrrr

I will soon be joining you in the November thread I am sure. I hate having longer cycles!
I could be your 8 days behind you cyle buddy!

I have discovered that doing up the flat is a useful way of filling the 2ww! Several trips to the local hardware store is keeping me busy.

Good luck to everyone else left and hello to any November bunnies.

desperate2bmum · 22/10/2006 21:34

thanks buddy!

dont give up on yourself just yet you have still got over a week to go think positive thoughts i will be for you too! you can always be my cycle buddy.....even though 8 days behind we will catch up with one another one day!

a monsoon of babydust coming your way... xx

RH · 23/10/2006 17:21

Hi All

Sorry been offline for a couple of days but could hardly bear to look if you know what I mean.

Tested this morning and guess what - a faint thin blue line! Yep a BFP! Can't believe it and will only believe it when a couple more days have past.

If it proves true then I will be signing off from here and wishing you all plenty of babydust, particularly you D2BMum as we've been cycling together this month.

xx

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 23/10/2006 19:06
