Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

SO pleased about your job cityangel - at least you dont have that to worry about! Just ttc now

Thanks for you thoughts Rubyroo - And it did the trick. AF arrived this afternoon, 7 days late. But at least its here... cityangel · 13/10/2006 23:54

Hey desperate. I am too early for any signs as I think my OV is later than yours. CD18 and expecting temp to go up tomorrow. I hope you had a nice dinner. We had a quiet night in after a big night out.

Sorry to hear about the job interview I had a similar experience last week. Good luck with them.

Fingers crossed for BFP this month.

Hey RachelRose sorry to hear about AF. Good luck for next month. The Pre-seed is working out for us, dh likes it. It can be a bit fiddly getting it in but hoping it did the trick this month.

nofunanymore · 14/10/2006 23:49

HelloHave just joined mn- not sure of protocol, so hope it's ok to join in. Interesting to see discussion of when to do test - am overdue by 9 days, feel pg, trousers too tight, but putting off test to keep head in sand. Planned pg, but am now scared to confirm!

ready4motherhood · 15/10/2006 10:25

Nofunanymore... so a test and fingers crossed.

As for me, got to say goodbye to this thread

AF this morning. More upset than I thought I would be since this is only our first go. Stupid I know.

Good luck and fingers crossed for everyone still waiting for their BFP!!

Babydust x

ready4motherhood · 15/10/2006 10:26

nofunanymore that was meant to say Do a test not so a test.

DD1ofcolandgerry · 15/10/2006 12:46

Hello everyone, Ive been away for a week or so, and there are so many here I now dont know...hello and welcome to you all.

Im a bit anxious/excited today. Im on cd30 of a usual cd28 cycle, and Ive resisted all testing as Im so sure Im not preg(only bding at the critical time was cd11, then dh had an assignment in and locked himself in the study for days.....I then huffed for days)

Anyway, I now find myself late, with no af signs in sight. Im thinking that maybe Im late as my last af was a misscarriage, so perhaps my cycle is up the left. I really should go and buy a test, but Im almost afraid to get a bfp as I know I will worry myself silly over having another misscarriage. On the other hand, I also will be excited at getting a bfp so soon after misscarriage..

ahhhhhhh

we're off to his mums for dinner, so maybe will stop off and buy one on the way, and test when we get home,

love and babydust to all

dd1

MrsMcJnr · 15/10/2006 14:42

DD1 fingers crossed xx

cityangel · 15/10/2006 16:17

Good luck DD1

desperate2bmum · 15/10/2006 16:44

ohhhhhh exciting stuff dd1 - good luck!!!

cityangel - when will you be testing?!

DD1ofcolandgerry · 15/10/2006 18:51

Hello all, its a BFN, but still no signs of af arriving. I did drink 1 litre of water to make me pee, would that have infulenced the result??

I bought a 2 pack anyway, so will maybe try again tomorrow.

Mrsmcjnr..how are you ,what have you been up to?

dd1

nofunanymore · 15/10/2006 20:40

Ready4motherhood - nearly bought one in Sainsbury's today, but chickened out through paranoia in case spotted - don't want anyone to suspect until home and dry!

Question - does anyone know when (ideally) you should inform your GP and when the first scan is due? If am pg, would be no.2, but can't remember what happened last time. Another reason am putting off testing - we moved house / health authority 5 months ago and have not got new GP for this area!! I work F/t with DD age 3, so find it hard to do organisational stuff. If only FLY lady could grant me a week of being child-free / work free! (New house in CHAOS, as you can imagine!)

RH · 15/10/2006 20:45

Hi All

Hope you've had a good weekend. Was DD 5th Birthday party yesterday so just about have strength left to drop in on line!

DD1 - you never know. We miscarried our first child and then fell pregnant on the first attempt afterwards - it happens! But don't want to get your hopes up.

Sorry to loose some of our fellow TTC...sending you my very best for a fruitful November.

Anyone else who will be testing towards the end of the month? My AF is due on the 23rd so will probably not test until a week later.

Take Care All.

RH · 15/10/2006 20:49

Hi NoFunAnyMore

I seem to remember from last pregnancy (DS is now coming up for 3) that when I dashed to the doctor in delight at about 7 weeks I was laughed out of the surgery (not quite literally) and told as an 'experienced' (!!! DS is second child) Mum to only return at about 13 weeks! This felt rather late to me so I contacted the local midwifery team direct and they made a booking in appt for me for about 13 weeks. So don't always take what your doctor says...

Also first scan was at 20 weeks but I think all these timings can vary between PCT/Health Authority.

Hope this helps a little?

Natty1806 · 16/10/2006 07:37

DD1 i think too much water can effect the result do the second one for sure this morning. Trying not to drink 4 hours before hand. Like you say though as it is first period since m/c your cycle could be mixed up. Did you take clomid this month or are you due to start taking it again if or when AF arrives?

jess1996 · 16/10/2006 07:48

I'm a bit fedup this morning. I've been carefully taking my temp every morning for the last 11 days and it's all over the place - it jumps from 35.9 to 36.4 then 36.8 then back down to 36.4. Then this morning I decided to take my temp twice. First time I held the thermometer directly under my tongue (36.4) then I held it under my tongue, but more behind my lower jaw (as I probably do when I'm half asleep), this gave a reading of 36.8. So it seems Boots thermometers depend on exactly where you put it in your mouth, so all my previous readings are probably dodgy. Also my boobs are sore and it's only CD11.

This TTC is playing havoc with my body. I've gone from having very regular 28-30 day cycles to 34 days, then 40 days, now I've no idea. Does anyone know if my 40 day cycle was anovulatory then how would this affect the next cycle?

Anyway sorry to rant. I'm just feeling sorry for myself this morning.

jess1996 · 16/10/2006 07:50

Sorry, meant to put that message on Nov thread

Babymad4num3 · 16/10/2006 10:17

How is everyone in here?

PinkButterfly · 16/10/2006 10:49

I am just beginning my 2nd week of my 2ww - desperately now trying to keep myself busy to take my mind of the big test countdown - very difficult indeed!!!

ready4motherhood · 16/10/2006 11:03

nofunanymore - you should drive to the next town and buy one, then you won't get spotted
fingers crossed.

x

spook · 16/10/2006 15:03

Hi everyone,
I did pop in on this thread a couple of weeks ago but my AF is now a day late so popping back in if you don't mind!!
Hope everyone still here and not moved to Nov is doing ok and feeling hopeful.
Divamummy-any news?
DD1-have got everything crossed for you!!

Am too scared to test yet. Had an ectopic in July and despite wanting a baby sooooo much I'm absolutely petrified.

SmilingKiwi · 16/10/2006 17:19

Hello, This is a very special message to all of you on the positive threads esp MrsMcJnr,Coggy,desperate2bmum, etc etc..We have only been TTC for 2 cycles and I had a BFP today! I am in my early thirtys and was concerned about it taking a long time so I researched alot which led me to this website...I listened to all that was talked about (I think I'm addicted to grapefruit juice now!)and got the TCOYF book/software... I can put the speed of BFP down to really getting to know my cycle and alot of luck...But I wanted to say thank you to you for helping me without knowing it!!
Wishing you all a storm cloud full of babydust and best wishes
