Hi ladies, no news here. I am reading and catching up with you all, trying and failing not to get too obsessed with it all.
I have been contemplating using a cup and syringe recently. I just can't keep up with all the sex! Blush but wondering if I'm not doing it enough, or early or late enough in my cycle. DH isn't too keen on the idea! Ah well, cycle 14, cd8 today, keep on keeping on....
Hope everyone is ok, it's good we are all here to have this space to come back to for support and rants!

Grrrrrrrr! Why does it keep randomly re-posting my last post?!

Yes I'm keeping busy thanks. Enjoying the summer as much as I can. Looking forward to our holiday to Croatia in late Sept too, but trying not to wish the summer away at the same time!

Keep smiling ladies x

Hi girls! Long time no speak...i needed a break from driving myself around the bend...I've thought about you all and hoped for good news!

So - since I went back to Dr in June and was told suspected PCOS I've embarked on a low-GI diet in the hope it would reduce my insulin and therefore testosterone levels and induce ovulation. Well - I've had quite a lot of EWCM this week and decided to do an ov test as a one-off (haven't bothered for weeks now) and it was positive! Wow. This is the first time it's been showing positive since we started TTC back in August last year! So, you can guess what's going to be happening in my house tonight!!

I feel pretty surprised but just wanted to say that the low-GI diet thing appears to be working! Hope you're all having a good week so far x x x

victoria401 · 08/07/2014 21:54

Good luck Laura! Report back in a few weeks! X

victoria401 · 09/07/2014 17:44

Good luck Laura! Report back in a few weeks! X

lildottie · 10/07/2014 10:04

why do I keep googling to find out about ivf in our area. why can't I just be patient and wait until the appt next week. then I wouldn't be so frustrated at finding no bloody answers and more questions! agggghhh!

victoria401 · 10/07/2014 12:10

Lol at lil I've been doing the same hun! No appointment letter through for me yet :-( wish I had a date!

xBlueberry88x · 10/07/2014 14:09

hey ladies,

Sorry ive been a bit quiet trying my hardest not to obsess but you all know what its like.

Good luck Laura seems the diet did you well.

lil and Vicky im always googling anything and everything its human nature fx for you both.

Metalhead · 10/07/2014 20:18

Evening all!

Ginger I feel the same about the sex, half the time I have to force myself to do it whilst not letting on to DH that I'd much rather just read my book... I'm CD17 today and should hopefully get my +opk Saturday or Sunday, so will be looking at a weekend shagathon.

Google can really drive you round the bend, but it's hard not to isn't it?

Great news about the diet and +opk Laura, good luck with your 2ww.

victoria401 · 11/07/2014 15:09

Really angry now!!! Been patiently waiting for our appointment with the fertility clinic to come though since begging another GP to refer us. Just thought I'd call the clinic to see how long the wait was and they've not recieved a referral letter! Sound familiar?! This is the exact same thing that happened with dh's Sa! My blood is boiling right now! Called the GP's and whoever is in charge of referral letters isn't in til monday now so they'll leave them a note to look into it!

This 'journey' is a pile of crap! Doctors actually do not give a damn that they're messing with people's heads! Grrrrrrrrrrr to the lot of them!

xBlueberry88x · 11/07/2014 15:12

Vicky god doctors really are shit aren't they I cant believe they have done this to you again.

I guess you really cant trust them, id call them again on Monday if I was you just to make sure the message gets through.

Metalhead · 11/07/2014 16:05

That's terrible victoria, but sadly not surprising. Agree with blueberry, I'd chase them up again next week to make sure this time the letter gets sent and maybe ask if they can bump you up the list to make up for their cock-up.

maybug3 · 11/07/2014 21:34

Can't believe they've done it to you again Victoria! You need to put in a complaint with the patient care people. My brother who works for the nhs days that if you have genuine cause for complaint it's well worth doing because thereafter staff make loads of effort with you to prevent any further complaints.
And you definitely have a genuine cause!!

m33r · 12/07/2014 10:40

Girls! I am 13dpo. I have 3 feint positives this morning. After 20 loooong months of hell... I'm trying to keep calm. I have a 20dpi test and digi for tomorrow. I am so up and down.

This month we did everything: reflexology; laparoscopy; grapefruit juice; preseed; pre concept vits (2.5 months); off alcohol and coffee; dtd 2 days before ov; 2 days of pos opk - dtd both days; dtd one day after ov.

I really really hope this is it!

Symptoms - I've had an upset stomach a few mornings and had two very vivid dreams I had a baby so much so it took me a while after I woke up to know it wasn't real. This morning I have AF cramps and I am terrified!!! Nothing else.

Cross everything. As I'm 13dpo and used FMU I would've expected them to be darker but my lp is 16 days so don't know of that makes a difference ??

vic sorry for self indulgent post. I cann't believe your doc has let you down again. Here they've been great and it's made such a difference to me and DH. I agree, you need to write a polite but VERY ASSERTIVE letter to nhs.

ELA88 · 12/07/2014 15:11

Hey ladies! Thought I would finally join another room to say hi! I've only really been in temping buddies for the past few months! I'm 26, TTC#1 and just coming to the end of cycle 18. Do you ever sometime feel like all the 2ww's and fertile days just blur into one long emotional period of time?!
Congrats on your BFP m33r! Xxx

Metalhead · 12/07/2014 15:40

Huge congratulations m33r, how exciting! Try not to stress about how dark your lines are, it really depends on so many factors (not least the type of test) that it is not an indication of anything being wrong.

victoria401 · 12/07/2014 16:16

Omg! So excited for you m33r! Looks like your tubes got flushed after all! Self indulge away! I usually do! Lol.I hope this is it for you now! Keep us informed x x

victoria401 · 12/07/2014 16:26

Welcome to the group ELA88. Have you asked the doc for any tests yet? You're entitled to after 12 months x

I think our GP has applied for fertility treatment funding as we had a copy of a letter. But I thought the fertility consultant was meant to do that after you'd been referred. I'm wondering now if he applied and we failed the criteria as we're still under 2 years by 3 months. I pressed for early referral as we had a diagnosis but our local CCG states 2 years trying. I wish he would have told us if we failed and needed to wait a few more months. Then at least we'd know!

Enjoy your weekends girls. I'm up the in laws eating cake. At least MIL doesn't ask us about kids any more as we've told her the score now.

ELA88 · 12/07/2014 16:53

Hey victoria no I haven't been to the GP yet, I'm currently changing doctors so will do when I register at the new surgery. What sort of things will they send us to have tests for? To be honest looking back, the last 18 months has gone very quickly, each month saying "we'll try for one more month!" But never actually seeing anyone about it, think it probably is time to now! Xx

victoria401 · 12/07/2014 17:01

I pressed for tests after 15 months trying. I don't have as much time on my side though as I'm 34. They take bloods on various days to check you ovulate and they send your partner for a sperm analysis. If inconclusive they might send you for a pelvic and/or transvaginal ultrasound. Me and dh have also been tested for every std under the sun too! Nice to know we don't have any! Oh, I think they also test your iron levels and thyroid function at the start too.
