Morning all. I fully accept the title of Bad Berry of the Week. I've been worse than useless at keeping up with goings on over the past few days. Apologies.
Bushy what Nolly said makes sense. Try as much as you can to enjoy your weekend away. How is the bleeding now? Are your clinic going to see you?I think you're being amazingly calm about this and I'm still keeping everything crossed for you Flowers
Good luck for today HB.
Barking I hope the 2ww isn't going too slowly for you.
I dug out the old Gü pot this morning which hasn't seen the light of day since last summer. Just wanted to check I'm ok to get sloshed on my hen. BFN of course but bring on the cocktails!
Hello to everyone else and hope you're all ok. It's nearly the weekend and half term woohoo!

FeatherFeather11 · 23/05/2014 07:42

Agree with barking, bushy - I'd be pushing for a blood test an a look at your hcg levels. The fact that it's a v strong line so early on is promising. If you go to epu, explain the situation, and see a doctor, it is standard practice that the do one and a urine test.

FeatherFeather11 · 23/05/2014 07:43

Oh, and Kirstie Allsop can bugger right off. Urgh!

FeatherFeather11 · 23/05/2014 07:44

happy have a brilliant hen!!!

lumen · 23/05/2014 08:40

bushy really hoping you have a sticky bean who has just been making themself at home and burrowing in for the next 35ish weeks.

I went for a run this morning for the first time in a while, I love endorphins! (Or as my friends daughter called them 'dolphins') Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 23/05/2014 08:43

Bushy, second what Feather and Barking said!

beakybeak · 23/05/2014 08:44

Bushy that looks like a good strong line. I think the same S the others and think try to get a blood tests from your clinic today, or just try to enjoy the weekend and test maybe Monday instead. Hugs to you and berry power and all fingers crossed.

HB how you getting on?

Re Kirsty Alsop, she has like 3 young boys and 3 step children or something doesn't she? Clearly greedy haha.

Happy have an amazing hen do! Grin

beakybeak · 23/05/2014 08:46

Oo Lumen well done on the run! I was meant to get up at 5.30 for training but didn't - too lazy! Hmm

HampshireBlues · 23/05/2014 10:09

Bushy that looks promising.

So my test is inconclusive...there is a line there but it is so faint. Spoken to clinic and they've advised me that I shouldn't take it as a bfp. I need to retest on Sunday and if still faint they'll do a beta HCG.

lumen · 23/05/2014 10:24

hb sorry that the waiting continues but good to hear you are still pupo

Gillster · 23/05/2014 10:48

Ooo promising HB, keeping everything crossed.

Hoping for positive things too Bushy. Has your bleeding subsided now?

nolly3 · 23/05/2014 10:50

ah, good news HB. understand your reticence but hoping the weekend brings more reassurance.

nolly3 · 23/05/2014 10:51

and happy hen happy hope you have a lovely time

FeatherFeather11 · 23/05/2014 11:06

Sounds promising hb - got everything crossed for you.

bushy I know I keep harping on about going to an epu, but it's only because I went when I started bleeding and they were brilliant - got my bloods done and results within an hour, then a scan. I had to go in every day for bloods after that for a week to make sure my hcg levels were dropping because it was an ectopic, but I will never forget how sleekly the whole thing was run and how lovely the nurses and doctors were I my darkest hours.

Hi everyone else!

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2014 11:50

Still PUPO then hb Grin. Did you just do one test? Are you going to wait until Sunday before doing another?

^

HampshireBlues · 23/05/2014 12:02

I'm not sure. The nurse said that OTC tests may give a darker line because the look for lower hcg levels. She thought that it could be positive because the embie started to implant and then failed (i don't think that having no spotting or pain helps). This could explain a faint level, or it could just be too early for me. She gave me 2 tests to do so I could one tomorrow & Sunday or Sunday & Monday.

beakybeak · 23/05/2014 13:31

Oo HB sorry you are still in limbo but will keep sending positive berry vibes and hope it is an fbfp!

Barking I don't test anymore as I hate that Snow White square that I always see. I don't have any faith and frankly am sick of the whole thing. If I did get a bfp I think if probs do about 20 though.

So I'm bleeding again today, cd8. Dunno what the fuck is going on but I could just cry my eyes out at the moment.

CatsCantFlyFast · 23/05/2014 13:48

Gentle reminder...the darkness of the line on any pregnancy test does NOT indicate anything. The amount of dye in tests varies from test to test, even across 2 tests from the same box. Therefore the darkness can't be used as an indicator
Bushy please call your epu. Are you still bleeding?
HB what your clinic said is shit as per above

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2014 13:50

Fingers crossed it's just too early then hb.

beaky I don't test early, I wouldn't be able to even if I wanted to given my 7/8 day LP means AF arrives days and days before it's been long enough past O for a bfp! And I've long since given up believing it might have happened each month. When I got my clomid bfp last year I'd already started spotting long enough for me to believe it was AF but then something didn't feel right so I tested. But having just had IUI it's the best chance I've got of a bfp in the last 2.5 years, and I can't believe I'm only 4 days in to the 2ww right now!!! When it's my OTD honestly, probably 2 days before I'll be pimping like a trouper! Even if it hasn't worked, the progesterone will most likely delay AF so I won't start bleeding at 8dpo as usual. Although if it has failed I would rather start bleeding and know sooner rather than later....

Thanks to my phone for really ramming that message home Grin
FX for all of you

funkymonk · 23/05/2014 14:26

Bushy, I'd say that's a pretty good line still. I agree with barking in that I would expect it to be very faint or non existent by now if that had been a period/chemical pregnancy.

HB sorry you're still non the wiser. Can you upload an image of your test?

X post with a few of you there. Sorry Beaky that this is happening again. When did you say you usually ovulate? Have you been taking part in any particular 'activities'?!
I've had it on a few cycles and have put it down to the 'activities' in the smepping up to ov day. Is it just light spotting?
