Yes thanks Duggs- really useful and interesting. Like you say, we may all get there, but not all in the same way.. Just need to keep positive vas hope it's sooner than later with no more heartache.
Trying - I hope you have some luck now. Is this your second cycle? I found pred ok first time .. First day felt totally wired. But then I could sleep which I hope would continue if I got the BFP. No luck last month .. Fingers crossed this month. For everyone.
There are so many tips on weight. But here's some that helped my OH - soup as it's tasty and filling so tricks your tummy into feeling fuller for longer. Drinking enough generally for same reasons. Snacking on almonds to stop sweet cravings. Portion control using a smaller plate! Oh and I read on the bbc yesterday that cooked pasta and potato when cold is less fattening as acts more like fibre so doesn't cause blood sugar to spike so much - even if reheated. Random facts over!

Hi rosa. I'm on cycle 3! I'm 9dpo and not feeling any cramps etc to suggest implantation. I'm secretly
Hoping this was our month but also not feeling very postive! I'm going to test tmrw - although I'm not sure if at 10dpo I will get a postive even with a first response? Although it says 6 days early on box...

I do know I ovulated as I had a progesterone form from last year when I was worrying I wasn't ovulating so I went and had it done this time! Level was 50 so at least me ovulating isn't a stress. Just DH sperm, scarring post surgery, blocked tubes and a million other things!
Bleugh. It's all really annoying!

Tryingno1 · 18/10/2014 15:53

Ps that's weird about the pasta! I've been away for a few days again and eaten loads. Diet being tmrw!

Rosa27 · 18/10/2014 17:22

Good luck Trying.. I know what you mean about testing early. I also feel like it can jinx it. I always waited to 15/20 dpo before I was officially in RMC territory. It's exhausting isn't it. Wish had a crystal ball!
Don't worry too much about weight. As long you're not too much over- I've heard better a bit over than under. Brisk walking also v good. Walking x miles just as good for you as running them. So I've been told!
I'm certainly not a runner but love waking and trying to do more yoga too. Fingers crossed for you x

Tryingno1 · 18/10/2014 17:52

Thanks rosa. Will keep u posted
Bmi is 25 exactly keen to try loose half a stone so it's more on the 24ish mark. But first need to loose my holiday weight!

Tryingno1 · 19/10/2014 09:52

Big fat negative this am. Gutted :(
Really hoped this was the month
10dpo but used first response 6 day early test.
Hope everyone else ok x

sunnyday01 · 19/10/2014 16:11

Sorry to hear that trying x

Tryingno1 · 19/10/2014 17:33

Upset turned into pissed off. Now just don't care. Feel like giving up! How r u sunny day?

sunnyday01 · 19/10/2014 19:03

I understand - it's so hard especially when it feels like you are doing everything you can and still no positive. I think we are allowed to be pissed if/upset when we don't get a positive.

I'm ok, done quite a bit of gardening today so feeling really tired! I'll be testing on Thursday but I don't think it's positive at all this month as we had a few hiccups with actually trying as DH wasn't feeling well so it was a bit all over the place!

Rosa27 · 19/10/2014 23:12

Sorry Trying .. I totally sympathise .. Really hope it's just you testing too early or next time is your month.
Sunnyday.. Are you also taking pred? Sorry I'm forgetful. Part of me is tempted not to until BFP. I think it might help keep me more relaxed. But worried about damage in the first 2 weeks of course. Good luck to you too.

Tryingno1 · 20/10/2014 17:07

rosa i know wot u mean re the pred. i actually didn't take it this cycle as worried it was stopping me getting preg (totally stupid though and based on no evidence just my own silly thoughts! and will not be telling mr S !) anyways hasn't made a diff! so ill take it next month. hopefully u won't be taking it for too long....what cycle r u on?

freelancegirl · 21/10/2014 21:10

Hello all, just checking in to see if there is any news from Duggs? I guess I could just text her...

All ok here. What will hopefully be our second Pred baby is feeling rather huge in there now, just over 29 weeks. Liking forward to week 35 and stopping the hydroxy as my last medication (apart from my usual thyroxine). Hope everyone is ok.

willitbe · 22/10/2014 11:14

Big wave to big-bellied freelance !!!!

Hopender · 22/10/2014 13:04

Hi all, just checking in to say hello. Haven't managed to look at mumsnet for ages but wanted to catch up on all of your news and send you lots of positive thoughts. I am on day 7 of the 2ww but not feeling very hopeful as have started to have a lot of cramps. I hate the fact it is taking so long to get pregnant. I have started wondering if it is going to happen at all for the first time. Going to stick in there though... Can't decide whether to start super ovulation next month. I was wondering if anybody had any problems with it or if it was fairly straightforward? Hope all well with you all.

Tryingno1 · 22/10/2014 14:12

Hi hopender. What cycle no of trying u on? I feel like that too...keep worrying I have complications as had 2 d and c
I was due af today but no show. Prob will come tmrw to annoy me! Did a hpt 10dpo and 11dpo both negative. So sure I'm out. It's just being rude not coming today!

Congrats free! How lovely!

Hopender · 22/10/2014 16:54

Hi trying, we were trying for three months before seeing Dr S, after last miscarriage, then this will be my second cycle since seeing him. We had a month's break when we saw him to wait for results. So it has been five cycles. I'm 38 so that is probably it but like you I worry about complications from the miscarriages. How many cycles have you been trying?

Hopender · 22/10/2014 16:55

Meant to say, you should do a test tomorrow is AF doesn't arrive!

Tryingno1 · 22/10/2014 19:55

Have been trying for 3 ( this is third). So I shouldn't worry yet but I can't help but get impatient. I tested just now-negative. Don't know why I did it I know it's on the way! I didn't get my lh surge this month coz I ran out of sticks by day 14 and was on holiday! So I think I prob got it on day 15, ovulated 16 and so that way period due tmrw with a lp of 12. Means DTD easy perfectly timed either. Pants!
How long has it taken u in the past to get preg?
My dad is actually an Obs and gynae consultant and keeps saying "even in completely healthy people it can take a year blah blah blah"

Hopender · 22/10/2014 21:54

Must be so great to have advice on your doorstep like that! Although, I guess there must be a limit to how much you can ask your Dad sometimes...!
Until this year I always got pregnant the first or second time I tried. Now it seems to take about four to six months.
I struggled with bd-ing this month too. As soon as the opk comes up my other half seems to go right off the idea. I ovulated on day 14 but we only managed to bd on day 12 and 13 and the day 13 one was a bit rubbish. As soon as I've stopped ovulating DH is all systems go again. He wants another baby as much as me but ttc is definitely getting old...
There are so many of us trying right now, one of us has to get a BFP soon. I love the positive stories, they really make me feel better! I'm staying in London with my Mum tonight which always makes me feel good as she's always so upbeat about everything? How are you finding the pred trying?

Tryingno1 · 22/10/2014 22:11

I got preg the first 2 times after 2
Months but last time took me 5....so I suppose nature just takes its course and it doesn't mean anything. I wonder if last time took me longer as was a missed misscairge and further along so took longer for my body to settle

Yep dad is great! He's been so postive about it all...and advising me...he's kept mum calm too! She's postive but worries and he keeps reassuring her too! He keeps telling me it will be ok in the end and this is just my journey. He def knows too much about my ovulation / periods! My DH is very freaked out by it! Haha! He's not a miscarriage expert but he's close to retiring so has a lot of exp....

Glad ur mum keeping ur positive! It will happen for us both at some point. I really wanted to have a bfp before Xmas. Now in dreading Xmas :( ....

My dh struggles sometimes too. I just don't tell him know when I
Ovulate or talk to him about my cm etc. I maybe casually say it but the
Months that I went on and on about it and text him and called him and spoke to him
About "how dark the line was" he was totally put off...maybe try just jumping on ur DH at the right time!
They say it only takes one sperm! And u did DtD in the fertile period so fingers crossed for u!

Mel3062 · 23/10/2014 03:05

Hi ladies
Bfn for me :( silly me had hopes pinned on super ovulation this month oh well meds are increased to 150 now so hopefully...
Of course I wish I'd tested earlier as now I'm waiting for af to book my follicle scan, annoying!!
I dred Xmas apart from the fact I suffered an awful mc it also reminds me of another Xmas with no baby.
As each month goes I feel stressed as it's closer to ivf :( I'm now wondering whether to wait til April and give hubby's antiobiotcis chance to do there thing or if feb will be long enough as dr g said not to leave it a year.
My doc has been great he's changed my superovulation pres to an nhs one!
Waves to you all and eagerly waiting for duggs news x

sunnyday01 · 23/10/2014 09:57

BFN for me this morning too, so thats two rounds of SO completed for me now! I was upset this morning as i thought i had a few signs that i could be pregnant but they seem to have disappeared now i have the BFN!

I am feeling really fed up today, the reality of actually holding a baby in my arms feels a lifetime away :(

duggs1976 · 23/10/2014 10:25

Ladies.. Although I found the concept of super ovulation exciting ( you have some control and some milestones to tick off... Taking letrozole, the mid cycle scan etc. ) it does put more expectation in each cycle. Personally I did 8 or 9 rounds and none worked for me despite having 6 natural conceptions over 4 and half years so don't despair ! You've conceived before and you will again .. There was one lady called kittens who conceived on the plan but more of us didn't seem to have any more success on it than off it. Hoping there is some success soon, but do take the promises etc with a lump of salt. It shouldn't be reflective of you as individuals. Is a great money spinner for the doctors and feels pro active for us but with that come the expectations.
My due date today - no sign of anything so just got to fill my time until Tuesday when I'm booked in for an induction Shock

duggs1976 · 23/10/2014 10:27

Oh and forgot to add, I think later on a couple of others had chemical pregnancies so nothing productive... But probably age related anyway on that front !

sunnyday01 · 23/10/2014 11:07

I agree duggs that SO does put more expectation on the cycle - in my case both cycles I have had 2 eggs so you think you have double the chance but haven't got pregnant on either cycle. But as you say there is the 'positives' that you know you're ovulating etc etc.

We have only been DTD when advised by Dr S, next month I am going to do the sperm meets egg plan as I think i'd prefer to do it more often over a week or so.
