Mattsmama I'm so sorry. Did Louise have any advice? Is this your second quite recently? I hope your getting looked after...
Good luck with all you DTD! Hope you get some luck this
Month!
I got back from holiday yest had a lovely time. I ovulated (well got my surge) out there so hoping with being relaxed this might be my month?! Although it was quite a busy trip with loads
Of walking and early starts!

sunnyday01 · 11/10/2014 17:16

Went for my SO scan yesterday - two good follicles again of agood size so he (and I) were happy! Got my trigger shot tonight then back on the pred from Monday - it seems to come found so quickly!

Tryingno1 · 11/10/2014 18:46

Yay sunny day! Hope this is ur month. I find the first 2 weeks go quick but then the 2ww goes sooo slow. I'm in mine now and not feeling at all hopeful :(..also keep stressing out every time my DH has more than one drink - I keep imaging his sperm dying! (Need to chill out!)

sunnyday01 · 12/10/2014 18:48

Thanks! The only bit I'm unsure of is only Baby dancing 2 times as we were trying evey other night from day 10 to approx day 21. I keep thinking maybe I should do it a couple more times just to be sure!

Tryingno1 · 12/10/2014 21:07

I know it's hard to know! I never know either. But as ur being monitored I suppose only 24 hrs after ovulation is productive as the egg dies after that..but then it's also good to have sperm in there before you ovulate-but how many days before I don't know?!
The 3 times I've gotten preg I've DTD day 13,14,15,16 (lh surge on 14 or 15) (think the first time I missed out day 14) . However I've done that on many months and not got preg! So who knows! It's all very annoying and complex!

sunnyday01 · 13/10/2014 06:35

It is - the first time I fit pregnant we only DTD once fir various reasons and it worked then other months we've tried loads and nothing! I sometimes wonder if it's worth doing an early one to get rid of dud sperm (dies that even exist?!) and getting some in the bank!

suemays · 13/10/2014 13:31

sunny if you follow the sperm meets egg plan they advise to 'release the sperm' so that not more than 10 days elapse. I followed this plan and am convinced it helped me conceive. www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm

sunnyday01 · 13/10/2014 13:50

sue thanks for that that, I hadn't seen that before - I'm on SO but still think that it could wor. Will have a propoer read of the link later on!

Clabbage · 13/10/2014 21:12

A swift check in after several months away. Just want to wish duggs loads of healthy birth vibes as your due date approaches. I know that you and I are similar in our thinking on what helped to stay pregnant i.e healthy sperm, healthy egg. I am so bloomin delighted for you. Also v pleased to see great news from suemays and free. I apologise for not really knowing who else is where, suffice to say that wherever you are on your journey, it will not be long before you find happiness. My gorgeous little man is 9 months old this week and on the cusp of crawling. He still feels miraculous to me and the wounds of RMC haven't quite departed. Much love to you all x

Clabbage · 13/10/2014 21:14

Oops should have read...'I hope it will not be long before you find happiness'

duggs1976 · 13/10/2014 23:32

Wow... 9 mths clabbage !! Where has that gone. Yes, am with you on the theory- good sperm, good egg and some lucky timing Grin in the end. Due next Thursday but am sure he will be late. Glad you enjoying being a mummy x

suemays · 14/10/2014 10:14

clabbage it only seems like yesterday you gave birth! I don't think rmc will ever leave any of us. I notice women crying in antenatal/scanning departments all the time now and empathise with them but never noticed before my miscarriages. Even if this pregnancy works out it will still haunt me. I am thinking of offering support as a counsellor if it works out. When I lost the baby at 20 weeks I spoke to some ladies at ARC who had experienced the same thing and it helped me so much so I would like to do the same for someone else.

duggs you need to start tweaking your nipples as that brings on labour! I am so glad I reached viability of 24 weeks at the weekend, even allowed myself to look at some baby grows yesterday but still not brave enough to buy any!
I also agree with the good egg/sperm and luck theory.

Tryingno1 · 14/10/2014 11:40

Congrats to u all! Keeps my goin with hope that one day maybe I'll be there too. Hope ur enjoying ur little one and the end of ur pregnancies too...
Duggs I wanted to ask-I know u went down the sperm
Frag route-did ur DH have any risk factors for high levels? And what treatment did he have once it was realised it was high?
Thanks!

duggs1976 · 14/10/2014 17:37

Thanks sue.. Am doing so now whilst watching the walking dead on demand?? not sure they do go together?! As for DH all nhs sperm test results came back ok. The DNA fragmentation tests Dr gorgy recommends came back v high. 33 per cent frawntatipn. He had v strong anti biotics for a month. They aren't standard from what I believe. Then he was re tested 3 mths later and had dropped to 22 percent and then again to 15.1 %. I was told
There is little chance of a live birth with anything over 30 percent fragmentation. I have to say though it still took a year later. a chemical, a trisomy 16 and a failed IVF since then to conceive this baby. But I guess a year to successfully conceive is standard for us at 37 and 42 years old? Just on top of the history it seems so much longer. He had ureplasma a hidden urinary tract infection and I tested positive for hidden C so we both had the strong anti biotics summer of 2012. Hope that helps somewhat?
