er, yes, well that proves I can't count bunny. Sep 2012. proof that all the non-drikning and healthy living has no effect on protecting brain funtion ;)

nolly3 · 04/04/2014 10:47

or 5 glasses bushy!

re cheering selves up I totally agree re massage, yoga, bath. I even joined a gym last month and actually just going for a swim regularly has definetly made a difference to mental health. although not ability to type or spell

Parsley2506 · 04/04/2014 12:13

Hey nolly, welcome to Berry HQ! We have a few people currently experiencing the joys of clomid who will no doubt be along to swap notes later.
I think you're very sensible in trying to keep your best foot forward. I try to adopt the same strategy but often find myself tripping over my own damn feet (both metaphorically and literally).

winoh I'm sorry you're having such a tough time at the moment. I still find the MC grief catches me in waves. I can now go for days (even weeks) of feeling fine and then, boom, back to black. As others have said, be kind to yourself and please don't give yourself/body a hard time while you recover physically but don't feel you have to brave-face it, you're allowed to feel sad.

bushy camping?!? at a festival?!? are you mad!?? Nah, I actually love camping, but my festival camping days are looooong behind me. Strictly day tickets only these days!! Grin

nolly3 · 04/04/2014 13:21

thanks for the welcomes! of course staying sensible easier said than done... i suppose i was saying that even if you feel you can't cope there do come moments when you realise you are coping after all... Dark moments do pass us by eventually.

beakybeak · 04/04/2014 14:11

Hi Nolly welcome, good luck with the clomid. I've been quite lucky in that I've escaped it as my FC bypassed it!

Win so sorry you are having a rough time, as others have said don't worry about it, you will get to feel happier at some point and I hope it's soon for you. If you need to vent we are all here for you. Brew Cake and Flowers for you. Did you get the opportunity of counselling or anything?

FeatherFeather11 · 04/04/2014 15:24

Just a quick one as am at work and will catch up properly with everyone this weekend:

win sorry you're feeling down - if it helps at all, I still get The Sadness five months after my ectopic. You have to feel it out and express it and know you have every right to be angry/sad/anything. You've had a rough ride and the fall out from pregnancy loss is something people don't talk about enough - that's what we're all here for, I think, to look out for each other. You guys have been an enormous support network for me through my darkest times.

bushy No6 is the most amazing festival I've ever been to (aside from Glastonbury, obvs!) - I go to loads as oh works in the industry. We tend to camp, but we bought a fancy bell tent a few years ago that you can stand up in and coupled with a blow up mattress , duvet and rugs for the floor, it's the best investment we have made! You can leave on the Sunday night - not sure who's headlining but we left Sunday night last year and I didn't mind. Went to work on the Monday feeling tired but happy! It's an older crowd so very civilised too - kinda like being back in the 90s and Portmeirion is ace.

Welcome nolly! I have pcos too. And I did 7/8 months of clomid last year. What dosage do they have you on? My advice is to take it right before you go to bed so you sleep through any side effects. Will you be monitored throughout?

Hope everyone else is well. Got to get of as at work now... Grrr!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/04/2014 15:50

Welcome nolly!!!

Thanks for winoh

I'm such a retard! My ultrasound scan was scheduled for NEXT Friday, not today! The lady was lovely and tried to squeeze me in but then my bladder was empty. I'm ALWAYS needing to go to the loo and today my bladder decides to suddenly double in capacity.

Also, my CD2 came back with slightly raised prolactin and slightly lowered testosterone. Dr Google says pituitary tumour, but a deeper dig informed me that lack of sleep and strenuous exercise can also have the same effect, and I had woken up very very early to go to the gym that day and went straight for the bloods after that. So I'm going to think horses, not zebras. But all of this palaver has made me very cranky, particularly since I took a day off work to have the ultrasound!

OttersPocket · 04/04/2014 16:10

Hey Nolly - welcome! I'm a Clomid veteran, starting round 9 this evening. I did get upduffed after the first 5 rounds but that sadly ended in an mmc so here I am again. Gimme a shout if you want to know anything about it.

I did the exact same thing last year Because and turned up a whole week early. They squeezed me in but I felt like such a numpty! Flowers and step away from Dr Google.

Happy Friday Berries! I bought two wedding dresses today (high street ones, sadly no 2k dress for me!), so need to make a decision on which one to keep... I can't stop thinking I should go with the one that has room for a 4 month bump HmmBlush That way madness lies....

Will catch up with everyone later - have to dash to the supermarket now.

Parsley2506 · 04/04/2014 16:19

oooooooh otters - are we allowed to see pics??? Pwetty please??

because what a royal PITA! Definitely stick with horses, much much much more likely!! I diagnose Wine for the crankiness

nolly3 · 04/04/2014 16:38

thanks for the clomid tips Feather and otters - especially re taking it at night. Will be in touch if i have any qs. happy friday all!

nolly3 · 04/04/2014 16:39

forgot to say am on the lowest dose, 50mg i think feathers.

FeatherFeather11 · 04/04/2014 16:41

otters I feel your pain - currently in dress dilemma hell myself. I've fallen for a ridiculously expensive one and I can't really afford it (would have to go on credit card) yet I can't find an alternative. I'm 8 weeks away from the wedding on Monday. facepalm my advice to you is to go with the one you feel most beautiful in, bump or no bump.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/04/2014 16:44

Feather, I'm usually very conservative with money! but I'd say if you have fallen in love with a dress, go ahead and buy it. I knew 'my' dress from the moment I laid eyes on it. Remember that you will be looking at those pictures for the rest of your life.

happylass · 04/04/2014 16:47

Winoh sorry you're having a tough time Flowers. We're always here when you need us.
Welcome nolly. Sorry you've had to find yourself here but you're definitely in the right place.
Otters I ordered my wedding dress last August and got it a whole size too big just in case I get diffed or evenly more optimistically in case I'd just given birth
Hospital has booked me in for bloods first thing Monday. Lets get this show on the road!

OP posts:
OttersPocket · 04/04/2014 17:22

I promise to upload a couple of pictures later tonight Parsely

Oh Feather I say go for it! Get the one you love Smile I'm not allowing myself to even look in proper bridal shops as our whole wedding is on credit and I have very good taste and no self control Wink

Nolly I only half 25mg - just half a tablet. It does the trick for me, but I don't have PCOS, my body just refuses to ovulate on its own. Absolutely take it at night. I've found that no matter what days I take it on (2-6, 3-7) I always get my positive opk 7 days after the last pill. But you may well be different!

nolly3 · 04/04/2014 17:40

Thanks otters. I do ovulate so i don't know really why they put me on it. because I looked sad in the FC I think! Anything that gives an extra boost at this point TBH. and good to know it regularises things.

re weddings, congrats all! late to the party i know. personally I'd get the one which made me want to do a little dance in the mirror - whatever makes you feel relaxed will look best imho.

thanks again for all the friendly welcomes. has perked up my totally unproductive day no end

tigerdog · 04/04/2014 18:46

Evening everyone!

welcome nolly!

Chin up win it's just not easy is it?! Don't be too hard on yourself, you're going through the grieving process and it's all perfectly normal. Big hugs x

Doh because! Sounds like something I would do!

Excellent news happy another step forward!

feather go for it, if it won't bankrupt you! Do you have a second choice if not? I was shocked at the price of dresses when I looked. We went to a wedding dress sample sale at Selfridges once and they were still in the thousands (or tens of thousands) but it was awesome fun to try them on!

otters have you decided yet?!

I've sacked off my usual yoga class in favour of going for a curry with OH's family. I am hoping that there is plenty that is gluten free so I can indulge!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/04/2014 18:49

tiger, curries are very GF friendly (as long as you skip the naan bread). Enjoy! I'm just about to make raw Pad Thai for myself (DH away).

TBH I'm surprised this kind of thing doesn't happen to me more often. I'm not one to double check dates, which is scary when you think I travel a lot for work. Once I was happily eating breakfast at a cafe round the corner while the driver was waiting for me to take me to the airport...I had got the pick up time wrong by half an hour and he almost left without me!

FeatherFeather11 · 04/04/2014 19:19

because, otters and tiger - you three are dangerous! The truth is, the dress (which isn't white or very bridey, although from a bridal shop) is gorgeous and I felt amazing in it, BUT it was already v expensive. the shop told me I couldn't order it as there's a 7 month waiting list - and I only had nine weeks to go. So being proactive (and v stupid), I emailed the designer this week to see if she had any samples she'd sell, and she wrote back saying no, but that my email struck a chord and that she'd be willing to pull out all stops and put all orders on hold to make me a made to measure frock. But she'd have to charge an extra £1k for that as she has a tiny team and the dress is hand beaded. I know not what to do. I'm going to a vintage fair on Sunday hoping I'll find something cheaper and as beautiful, and the designer has given me till Monday to make a decision. I'm embarrassed to tell you that the dress would cost £3k with the extra £1k added on. And if you knew me irl, you'd know that I am not the sort of person who would spend, or even has, that sort of £ knocking about.

happy go forth and conquer in the name of the Berries! Woo hoo! Flowers

Off out now for wine and fun. Again. Need to reign it in. Hmm

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/04/2014 19:43

I still say if you love it so much you should but it.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/04/2014 19:44

Buy, not but Grin

OttersPocket · 04/04/2014 21:03

Oh wow Feather! Still, if it's the only dress you're in love with I think you should consider it Smile I would Grin

As promised Parsley here are some links to pictures (oooh, feels like S&B over here!) Dress 1 and Dress 2. They are both lovely and really good quality for £200. I'm a bit of a hippy at heart so I'm kinda thinking dress 1 at the moment with messy hair and flats.

Sorry to derail the thread from ttc stuff Berries!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/04/2014 21:04

Otters, they are both beautiful but I love the Margot!!!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/04/2014 21:05

Yes, loose messy hair and maybe a flower crown?

barkingtreefrog · 04/04/2014 21:10

Ha ha feather this is probably not the time to tell you that the total of both of our weddings (ie family one then friends) including registry fees, both venues, food for over 100, bridesmaids, my dress etc etc was the price of two of your dresses!!! Shock Shock Shock

Up until you said the price I was going to yell just buy it!!! but now I'm going to keep my mouth shut so I'm not an accessory to large amounts of debt Wink .

I would recommend making your own. It was nowhere near as difficult as I thought it was going to be!!
