Jetlag!!!!! Angry Angry Angry Angry
Can't take a sleeping tablet either because there's a tiny, tiny chance I could be pg so don't want to risk it Sad .

I've recorded the adoption programme bushy and boodle, will watch it at some point when I get a chance. We're both open to adoption but not ready to give up on the biological child just yet, which is why I found the blog sad rather than inspiring I think. With the IUI looming I don't want to read about stuff not working!! Also, I do feel strongly that being childless is not the route for me so being at peace with it seems very alien and not something I'm prepared to accept I will need to do! As I've said before though, DH and I both have adopted siblings so the concept of adoption is all a little more familar to us. Still bloody scary and not where we are yet though....

Given I can't sleep I'll go take a look at the link you mentioned at the bottom bushy!

ladybunnikins · 29/04/2014 06:46

I've been watching the documentaries and lurking on the adoption threads but I think I've realised that I'm not cut out for it. Plus DH doesn't want to. At least if some well-meaning person asks if I've considered adoption I'll be able to answer them. Plus I'm convinced that donor eggs will work for us!
If you ever want a cry-fest, there's a link to a BBC adoption series from the late 90s called "Love is not enough" on the adoption boards. Episode 7 is a tear-jerker!
Good luck, Bushy, hope you get propofol and lots of eggs!

happylass · 29/04/2014 07:40

Good luck today Bushy and Barking. Everything crossed for you both.

barkingtreefrog · 29/04/2014 11:20

^^

Whoop whoop!! All systems go!!!! Started with a flat battery this morning and a jump start and then we were told we might not be able to start next cycle due to lack of available nurses but everything turned out ok - within a few days AF should be here and I'll start the scans and injections!!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

TheRainDrops · 29/04/2014 12:31

That is fantastic news barking - the chopper is in sight! Smile

HampshireBlues · 29/04/2014 13:25

Yay Barking good news indeed!

beakybeak · 29/04/2014 13:32

Fantastic news Barking how exciting!! Fx for iui bfp Grin

Bushy any news? How was EC?

ladybunnikins · 29/04/2014 13:52

That's great news Barking, and still time for a FUFC BFP!

winohhh · 29/04/2014 15:19

So exciting barking. This could be it!!!

greatbigbushybeard · 29/04/2014 15:40

Whoop woop barking!! That's exciting, you'll be a pin cushion too! So ec went well, we got 11 eggs which they said was really good, think they said the average was 7. Also dh is pretty chuffed cus his count was above average and the motility was good, which before have both been issues. Anyhow, not sure what the hell they used lady but I remember being on the bed talking about the journey etc and then nothing! Came to with a very chatty nurse giving me water and paracetamol. Felt bit sluggish and tired but not painful. Stirrups were a bit amusing!

So waiting for phone call tomorrow to see how they've got on so we're either on for transfer Thursday, fri or Sunday. They did ask us for permission if it's a day 2 or 3 transfer whether we'd consent to 1 or more than 1 embryo being put back in. Dh is really against twins so in the end we've put 1-2 but when we go back they said they would ask again as they don't make people have twins!

Thanks for the berry bat signal x

happylass · 29/04/2014 15:56

Woohoo great news Barking and Bushy.

FeatherFeather11 · 29/04/2014 16:09

Brilliant news bushy and barking! Things are lining up nicely for a Berrie clusterdiff!

ladybunnikins · 29/04/2014 17:56

Well done Bushy and MrBushy!

barkingtreefrog · 29/04/2014 18:13

bushy if I have more than two follicles they'll stop the cycle due to the risk of multiples. We don't want twins. I'm going to be scared enough about another mc without starting with a higher risk pg!!

Thanks for all the berry support - not looking forward to the injections but so desperate for this to be it!! Grin

HampshireBlues · 29/04/2014 19:12

Nice Bushy & Mr Bushy, will keep everything crossed for tomorrow; in the meantime rest & be spoiled.

beakybeak · 29/04/2014 22:14

Oo sounds fantastic Bushy fx all goes well from here!

So much going on here at the min, I really hope there is a big cluster diff coming Grin

barkingtreefrog · 29/04/2014 22:44

Any word from otter today? Hmm

winohhh · 29/04/2014 22:48

Sounding promising bushy!

Come on cluster diff!!

RosieintheAlps · 29/04/2014 23:26

Wow, there is so much good news going on here! (NC kami coming out of hiding to join the general positive vibe, revolution and partying)

Fingers crossed for all of you who are making such big steps on the yellow brick road, otter, lady, bushy and barking. This would be a great cluster diff party. Wine - non-alcoholic, of course.

Positive vibes to everyone else of course, too. Have been reading the thread, so congrats on choosing wedding dresses, feather & otter, good to read you are feeling better, because, and enjoy the time off, tiger.

BoodleDoo · 29/04/2014 23:50

Hello again, Kami/Rosie - nice to see you about again!

Glad to hear it's cheerful in Berry HQ at the moment. I've just been watching 15,000 kids and counting...definitely think my brain has gone into protective mode and is trying to move me on to the stage beyond IVF...

Gillster · 30/04/2014 01:41

Great news Bushy, that's a decent haul of eggs. Are they doing ICSI? I'd be tempted to put 2 back in personally but if you're really against twins then I guess stick to one. I know a few of the recent berries had 2 embies put back and I also know someone in RL with 2 embies and no twin pregnancies have resulted but quite a few BFPs.

Excellent progress Barking, can't believe you'll be starting so soon. Exciting!

Glad you've returned Rosie Smile, we've missed you.

Good luck tomorrow today Lady, let's get those embies transferred to their new luxury accommodation.

Just had longest day at work (only finished an hour ago) Sad. Hoping for a more respectable finishing time tomorrow. Don't they realise I need time to keep up with the berry news!

barkingtreefrog · 30/04/2014 06:34

boodle I've got the third of those left to watch. Recorded the other adoption program this week as well. Depending on when AF arrives and when I'll need my cd2 scan my bank holiday plans might have to be cancelled so I'll have some time for tv viewing instead!

barkingtreefrog · 30/04/2014 06:39

Hi rosie great to see you! Grin

Gillster that's ridiculous. I was whinging about my 7am-6pm hours in school but you've blown that out! Although I do then still have to bring work home...

I got a job offer yesterday. The company I started working for 2 days a week want me full time. It's incredibly tempting to leave the teacher stress but a MASSIVE pay cut, almost 50%..... Sad
