Anyone want to join me?

I'm 36 yo, ttc #1 and very excited about it. It's something I have wanted to do for a long time but it took me a while to find mr right!

l know I am no spring chick so I have some anxieties around that but I am trying to do everything right (eating well, exercising, cutting out alcohol/caffeine etc) and I want to start off optimistic :) am a seasoned pessimist/worrier!

Have been tracking my cycle for a good while. My periods are pretty regular and I thought I could feel my ovary twinging (strongly) when it wad supposed to. This has synched with positive opks so I guess I will soon be starting my first 2ww.

crazycatlady82 I am my second month of charting properly with temping, checking CM etc. I also used an app for ages which I realised was inaccurate! I would recommend temping to get an idea of what your body is doing. I am not planning to continue it for the whole time as I think its better to be a bit more relaxed about BD, as long as you know roughly when you O.

OV sticks don't seem to work for me! Hoping there is not an issue with hormones - I drink a lot of water so think its always too diluted?

Glados2point0 · 02/07/2014 18:54

Well, had my nurse appt today, where the best she could do was suggest I take folic acid, which I'd worked out for myself already. The first appointment I can get to get the coil out is in two weeks time, which has left me feeling a bit deflated as I was hoping to get something sooner than that, but given DH is away with work next week anyway I guess it doesn't make that much difference.

Big hugs to you eMac, and fingers crossed for you, and newleaf, and everyone else waiting anxiously for things to happen!

Hello Ladies and Welcome Emac66 and all the newcomers, there's been loads:)

Feeling better after my break away from this thread after the miscarriage/chemical pregnancy. Af flow returned after just over 4 weeks from miscarriage so im more inclined to think it was a chemical pregnancy so that makes me feel a little better. Nice to be back to normal Bodywise never thought id say I welcome AF!

I have actually had an offer for a new job and start my training soon looking forward to that and having that as a focus. I'm going to hold of ttc for a couple of months to allow myself to heal internally from loss (and from op) to get settled into my new job, but most importantly to heal emotionally and feel ready as at the moment if i was to fall pregnant I would be terrified its going to happen again.

Emac66 Hugs to you i'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I also suffered my loss at 5 weeks. It was over 6 weeks ago now I already had my scan date in the post, it would have been this week coming up :(
I understand what your saying about going back to day one. So near but so far away. It's very frustrating and heart wrenching knowing what would have been, the plans you would have been making now and you have to go all the way back to square one. I wish you luck with everything and also hope you can be kinder to yourself regarding the termination you did what was right for you at the time. Hugsss Flowers

Pixa · 05/07/2014 08:38

EMac - Sorry to hear of your loss. Wishing you all the best for the future x

Hi All, are you happy for me to join you?

We aren't TTCing now; we are taking Pregnacare conception his and Hers and I am taking an added omega supplement. I have had a preconception doctors check up. We are now just waiting until we are legally wed and on the honeymoon to do some babymaking. We came odd the pill and swapped to condoms a whole while ago now, and my body clock seems to be back to 'normal'. The good news is we only have ten weeks to go until we are TTC.

I am 23 (24 in a couple of weeks), H2B is 33. We both work in local government. I was always predominantly career focussed until H2b and I started joking about having kids. One day, out of the blue, he asked me how we would decorate a nursery. Then it hit me. Like a tonne of bricks. An absolute innate, guttural urge. I must have this man's babies! Haha. He definitely Derren Brown'd me into it...

Hi, can I join in too - I'm 31, DH 32, ttc our first. Was so hopefully that the first month trying would be our month but got my AF yesterday. Very sad but feeling better now - time for a couple of wines and then back on the DTD bus at the start of Aug :)
Just discovered this forum a few days ago and already it's a lifeline!

Choccyhobnob · 23/07/2014 16:02

bakingmad83 · 01/08/2014 06:38

Hello everyone, welcome to the new ladies :)

Haven't checked this thread in a little while. Thanks for asking how I'm doing LadesC. All's well here thanks. 18 weeks now and fairly symptom free at the mo, though I have a little bump. Hopefully you'll get your bfp very soon.

Good luck everyone :)

happygojo · 01/08/2014 16:39

Hi everyone. I am on my first 2ww AF due on the 10 August. Not overly optimistic this month but we have to start somewhere and all the info has been so overwhelming.

Niva123 · 01/08/2014 21:14

Hi everyone ! I'm completely new - just started taking folic acid yesterday ! So glad I came across this!! Excited to start on this journey but really worried/scared that things might not work out! I'm hoping to wait a few weeks before TTC so I can start tracking my cycle! The ovulation guide seems a bit confusing to me right now ! Any advice would be appreciated !!!

Frolicacid · 02/08/2014 13:02

Good morning! I decided after the coil removal yesterday that last night would be my last big night put for a while. So I'm feeling a bit rough this morning.
Just had a real twinge in what felt like my left ovary. Could be a pain from the coil coming out but could potentially be ovulation. I'm on day 19 of my 33 day cycle. I wasn't planning on doing any opk's for a few months but I'm already reconsidering. Not being obsessed is going to be hard!!

happygojo · 04/08/2014 14:17

frolic not being obsessed is really hard! I am currently looking for none existent 'symptoms' hope your hangover eased!

Frolicacid · 04/08/2014 19:36

Good luck with the symptom spotting happy. The hangover was't too bad thank goodness. Not being obsessed is hard! I've gone from just seeing how it goes to thinking about opk's to watching clear blue fertility monitors on e-bay since Friday!!!

greysar · 04/08/2014 19:38

Hello ladies! Can I join?

I'm 28, TTC#1 after a MMC in February. We've been trying again since May, but because I have long, irregular cycles I'm only on cycle 2... However, today is 9dpo and had some spotting, so I have very very tightly crossed fingers for implantation bleeding!

Looking forward to everyone getting their BFPs Smile

happygojo · 05/08/2014 09:15

Welcome greysar I have my fingers crossed for you too please let us know how you get on. I am 8 dpo and just going a bit mental. Any other symptoms?

Peanut85 · 05/08/2014 09:42

Hi....Can I jump in on this thread too? i'm new to mums net and still getting the hang of things.

Hubby and I are thinking about trying for our first, so i'm planning to come of the pill at the end of my current packet.

Have any of you started trying straight after your last pill? xx

happygojo · 07/08/2014 20:06

Fantasy symptom spotting alert!
Ok I am 10 dpo AF due sun/mon. This morning I felt nauseated when I got up. You know when you are not sure if you want to throw up or eat but passed within an hour. I HAD to have pickled onion monster munch when I saw them at the sandwich van this morning. Very tired. Slight cramps a bit away with the fairies and I just had some pinky Brown very light discharge.

No thirst, no boob soreness, not thirsty

Is it worth getting an expensive hpt or am I just mental?

Glados2point0 · 07/08/2014 21:00

I'm currently still waiting for any sign of ovulation to happen - I started tracking my temp before I even got my coil removed in mid-July and I had a higher temp then until AF came along, so I'm pretty sure that will be an indicator for me but so far, nothing! I'm on CD 20 now, but I have no idea what length my cycle is (and to be fair, that AF could have been a simple post-coil-removal one, though it lasted a good few days) and I'm getting really impatient just to ovulate, let alone get a BFP!

I guess I'll need to learn patience, but its not easy :( Good luck to all!

Frolicacid · 07/08/2014 22:30

When are you going to test happy ? Not long I guess? Fx for you.

happygojo · 08/08/2014 09:54

Hi frolic I think I might get one of those 'early' tests and try tomorrow. I dunno how I feel really. I do really want this at my core, it isn't rational it is like my gut instinct but I was on the phone to my friend last night who is suffering with PND and hasn't bonded with her baby even after 3 months so right now I feel I am as scared of a BFP as I am of a BFN. I am suspecting it's going to be the latter. But I will still spend money on a test... like I said. .. It isn't rational!
