Anyone want to join me?

I'm 36 yo, ttc #1 and very excited about it. It's something I have wanted to do for a long time but it took me a while to find mr right!

l know I am no spring chick so I have some anxieties around that but I am trying to do everything right (eating well, exercising, cutting out alcohol/caffeine etc) and I want to start off optimistic :) am a seasoned pessimist/worrier!

Have been tracking my cycle for a good while. My periods are pretty regular and I thought I could feel my ovary twinging (strongly) when it wad supposed to. This has synched with positive opks so I guess I will soon be starting my first 2ww.

Well its been a bit of a crapstorm. Ended up in theatre last nite for suspected ectopic. Thankfully it wasnt and they did a d and c whilst i was under. I wont bore you with the details as prob not appropriate on this thread but ive been given go ahead to try again after next period so ill be back. Has been a hellish few days but hopefully comin out the other side x

LadesC - so sorry to hear that. Really glad that you're heading out the otherside and have the go ahead to try again. You survived the crapstorm (great phrase) and your body can still do amazing things in the future. Hoping you can heal quicky and keep holding onto hope xx

my AF came today after what I was really hoping was our month! So am sad and I know it's only month 2 but kinda feel like this is never gonna happen. Sad

hi everyone. sympathies to those who haven't been lucky with a sticky bean... TTC is such an emotional roller coaster i never imagined it would be like this.

i am on cycle 4, CD22. Highly doubt we're going to be lucky this month as DH works away and I think we only got in 1 baby making day together over the right timing - maybe we'll get lucky but who knows. Definitely not feeling it and in fact been partying a bit despite being in TWW. My last three cycles i've been teetotal in TWW "just in case" but feeling a bit despondent about it now.

No luck yet my end. I'm about 10 dpo on a 26 day cycle and just done a preg test and was bfn. It says 87% accurate today as AF due tues so pretty sure I'm out. There's still a small chance but don't want to get my hopes up. Was convinced yesterday I was pregnant as I had aches in left boob all day which I've never had before. On to the next month which is a shame as got myself all excited! Any news from anyone else? Confused

april i think you are discounting yourself FAR too early.... fingers crossed for you.

If I were you i would still be feeling positive, who knows maybe this month u are on 28/30 day cycle and not everyone gets BFP at 10 dpo. i plan on testing 10dpo... and 11, 12... 13... until AF arrives or BFP: don't let those BFN get you down!!

Before TTC I never, ever, ever imagined POAS until AF due... ha ha ha ha ha how things have changed! haha!

Thanks Tharmin. Just trying to prepare myself! The early tests say they have such a high rate this far before af but then other things on net (yes read lots!!) suggest implantation may not even happen until 10 dpo and then takes a few days for you to produce hcg. Feel a bit more hopeful but we'll see. Least it's a sunny day and it's my 1 year wedding anniversary next week so trying to see it both way, an amazing present to ourselves if am preggers, if not I can drink lots of champagne! Every cloud! Good luck to you too and hope to hear some bfp on this group soon! XSmile

AF due yesterday, tested yesterday but got a BFN.

No AF yet today!

So not out the game... But not sure either.

I'm due AF tomorrow. Did another early first response test yesterday but was a bfn. Pretty sure I'm out. Have serious cramps and achy boobs and backache though which don't normally get pre AF. This is only my second cycle off the pill though so maybe this is what non- pill PMS is like! If so I hope I get preggers soon as I don't like it!! Wink

hahaha April1984..I have recently had first cycle post pill and non-pill PMS sucked for me too! I said to DH at weekend it better happen fast as I can't cope with this every month! I went on the pill for cramps but 10+ years later I had forgotten quite how evil it is for me at that time of the month GAH!
Still suppose i should be pleased i am cycling normally (so far) and it hasn't taken a year for AF to arrive post pill, which i have read it can do!
Silver lining...good luck to all this month Smile

So I'm definitely out, Af just arrived. As I had achy boobs all night I stupidly took another preg test first thing and then two secs later af arrived, ha what a waste of money! Least body is on time for af, hopefully month 3 will be my month. Do you guys change anything you do month to month or just keep plugging away?! XWink

aw damn April ... that sucks.. bloody unwelcome AF.... I am on TWW at the moment. think i have 31/32 day cycles which i am happy with. as a teenager I'm sure I had much longer cycles pre-pill. i plan on testing on 24th may and no earlier! must be strong. will power!!

this is cycle 4 for me. i started it rather down in the dumps that AF arrived as i was convinced last month was the month, but then i got the renewed energy to make it happen in cycle 4 by actively OV symptom spotting and timed DTD. i took the upside of AF arriving in that AF arrived right on time so at least that makes it easier.... Unfortunately DH works away so for us not exactly ideal (he comes 1 day, goes 3 or 4 days, comes back 1 etc).

no pg symptoms this month but still holding out hope. at 10pm last night i almost got up to do a test for the most irrational reasons but holding out! not before 24 may!

Hi Tharmin, yeah af sucks! I think my period is trying to kill me this month too as I am in a while world of pain that have never had before. I'm knocking back the ibruprofen! Like you said, the positive is that it came on time and can now look to next month. However I'm allowing myself today to be miserable first! Then tomorrow I'll get over it. Best of luck for you this month! I promised myself this morn that I'd wait until after af next month but by this afternoon decided if do it two days early as on hol when af due with friends so would rather find out either way a bit before on our own! Good luck all! X
