Here we are ladies, part 5, with a new spin to the title to include some of us long-timers!
May it bring many, many more BFPs and some happy, healthy babies

It was just functional mrs, spent Saturday in hospital for an outpatients appt for blood transfusions and things! I feel quite big, 31 weeks now but last time my bump shot out in the last 5 weeks or so, so think I have it to come. All the midwives and doctors keep saying my bump is tiny & they can't believe the size of baby that's in there!

Hi im back had to re register again.
having a shite time ive developed a itchy rash called PUPPP and have been prescribed 4 piriton per day so im pretty woozy. They have said the won't start me and basically I just need to suffer it.

Hi Better - what were you in hospital for on Saturday? You won't need a blood transfusion will you? I forget that you're only 6 or 7 weeks behind me, it's not that long for you then either. It'll be me and Morerum followed by you and Hungry.
Hi Morerum - Are you ok? Sorry to hear you've developed a rash. Is it pregnancy related do you know or more weather related? I hope you're ok. It must be frustrating for you at this late stage because I know how it feels being so big and tired and just wanting the baby to come now. It won't be long so try not to be too pissed off. xx
I've got the midwife tomorrow at 3pm so will report afterwards as usual. Can I just ask those of us that are pregnant, can we please all post on here our due dates just to make it easier to remember and keep track of them all. Mine is 13th June. But please all add them.

mrs the rash is called PUPPP or PEP its pregnancy related and will disappear once ive given birth, im really down in the dumps with it as I cant drive anymore due to the amount of sedative in the piriton and im also struggling to deal with dd im so greatful for all my famlies support but all I do is snap at them. Hospital wouldn't enduce me or even give me a sweep to get this started its gonna be a long few weeks xx

Hi Morerum - I've never heard of that. What do you mean when you say they won't induce you? Surely they will if you go far enough over your due date? My gosh I can't believe you're due on the 8th. That's SO soon! Isn't that a week on Sunday? Will the rash possibly go before the birth or are they not sure? I hope you're still feeling well in yourself.
I saw the midwife today, everything was fine and she said my baby's head is 3/5 engaged (3 fifths) and she talked about how they will offer me a sweep at 40 weeks plus 5 days, so that's not the next appointment but the one after that. I'm not sure about having it. Have they mentioned this to you Morerum and what are your thoughts? I'm just worried in case it causes bleeding which I know it sometimes can and it can make you very uncomfortable.
On a different note, I saw my sister today. My mum and dad were having her 4 kids as it's half term and my sister was taking them round so I took my DS round and he has a lovely afternoon playing with his cousins. When I took my DS round, my sister was still there so we got to speak and she saw my bump etc. Later on, because I left DS there, my sister brought him home and stayed for a bit at my house and it was really nice to see her again. I'm feeling much happier about that situation.

I bought some raspberry leaf tea today by the way, I'm just having my second cup. I thought two cups a day. Does anyone know if this works?

Mrs, that's good news re your sister. :-)

Raspberry tea doesn't bring labour on, it just makes your uterus contract better during labour so it's meant to be quicker. Apparently.

Better, how're you doing? I'm tired and am increasingly uncomfortable sitting at work. Can't wait to finish.

Awww morerum my friend got that last year! it made her totally miserable. I feel really sorry for you, as if the last weeks aren't hard enough. I hope you go early!!

Hi hungry I'm fine 31+4! think I must just have forgotten what energy feels like as I feel good but my bloods are so low all the midwives are saying I must be knackered! Hopefully when the transfusion kicks in in a few weeks I'll feel like I've got a new lease of life! How's things with you? You mustn't have long left at work now? And not long until you find out your date! It's all starting to feel a bit real here, don't think I've actually thought about the part where we'll have another baby in a few months!!

Yes, I finish next Friday (lunchtime). It can't come soon enough! Then I get my date on 11th. Think it'll be very real then. gulp

I've been and bought my maternity pads now, so I'll start to think about packing my bag soon. Can't believe it's that time already!

Hey everyone, I'm feeling a lot happier this week thanks all who asked :)
I went back to work for a day on Tues, back next week for 10 weeks then mat leave! Can't believe I'm 25 weeks today!. It's helped to get back into a sort of routine again! DS has got used to lying in though, so have had to wake him few times this week bless him lol.
Glad your a lot happier with your sister situation mrs :) and good news about the midwife apt, not long now! * my Due date is 11th Sept.

more I had a rash in my last pregnancy right near the end, was horrible :( mine was all over my belly, and so bloody itchy! Hope yours clears up soon. Hope the next few weeks go quick for you then you can meet DC 2 :)

Hi Kt - That's great that you're feeling better and not long til you're on mat leave with Hungry. Also can't believe you're 25 weeks already, that's flown by. Oh yes I remember your due date now. September is a nice birthday month. My midwife told me yesterday to consider whether I'd like a sweep at 40 weeks plus 5 days so I'm thinking a lot about that. What does everyone think?

Hi Better - is it your iron that's low? Have you been put on iron tablets? I'm confused about what you mean when you keep saying about a transfusion. Have I missed something? Have you had to have a blood transfusion and if so, when? Sorry if I've missed something you've said or totally got it wrong.

Oooooh hungry major countdown until work finish now!! Then you can hopefully relax a little. When are you gonna pack your bag? I have lots of the stuff but putting off packing it at the moment! We're doing the nursery this weekend. I thought it was the 11th you were there, I'm there for the growth scan and consultant in the 18th, hopefully after that we can start to plan properly. Who will have dd while your in hospital for the section. I have a feeling I might go a little over this time.

Yes mrs I had the transfusion at the weekend. Don't have much experience of sweeps, my initial reaction for myself would be not to have one but then that could well change with overdue desperation!

I think I'll pack over the next few weeks. I wear my maternity nighties in bed still, so I may see if I can find cheapie Primark ones to take instead. I need more big black knickers too! :-)

My MiL will have DD for us. It's good that we can plan really. Will your mum have your DD?

It'll be good to be able to plan. What kind of options will you get?

Was your transfusion linked to why you're high risk? Had you had you before?

I've just done my last full Friday til next year :-) 4.5 days and counting.

Can I join? Am about to start ttc number 2 and have a 19 month old daughter. Feeling terrified at the thought of managing 2 and not even pregnant yet!!

Hi Better - I am so sorry that I didn't realise you'd had a transfusion. Why was this and was it ok? After I had my DS my iron was low and the hospital weren't sure whether I'd need a transfusion or iron tablets and I was terrified of having a transfusion and very relieved I got the tablets. Is it really scary or is it absolutely fine?
Hi Hungry - thanks for the reminder, I also need big black knickers. I'm wearing big comfy ones now but could do with sons more for feeling comfortable afterwards. I'm due 2 weeks today, can you believe it?! Bloody terrified of having a horrendous birth or not being able to push. My mum is having my DS.
Hi Slightlyconfused - of course you can join us. The thread started in September and there are a few of us pregnant already. I'm due on 13th June and have a DS who is nearly 2 and a half. Morerum is the next one though and she us due on 8th June. Better and Hungry are due after that (sorry can't remember dates) and Kt is due 11th sept.

Mrs, I can't believe how close you and morerum are now. Seems crazy, doesn't it?!

I got my black knickers today. No maternity nighties in Primark, so I got something to wear now and I'll pack my existing nighties in my bag once they've been through the wash.

We have all of baby's stuff ready apart from the cardy which DD also wore which needs washing once I've found it (sorting existing clothes is my mat leave job!).

I've been playing chase the foot today. It's lovely. :-) Baby is so strong now!

And I think Better is due around 26/27th July. I'm 7th August, but will have an ELCS somewhere near Better's due date.

ATruth is about 10 days after me, I think. Kt is 11th Sept. ASwede is mid-Oct, I think and Engels is about 27th Dec, I think. Lots of not sures there!!

1st June today. If I get a 39 week ELCS I'll be having a baby next month! Scary stuff!

Hi, don't know if you remember me. I was on this thread around Christmas with a bizzare cycle where I basically missed 2 AFs but was BFN the whole time. Anyway my cycle went back to normal in jan and has been fine since.
To cut a long story short, 2 weeks ago I got a BFP
Very happy, a little nauseas and relieved that the strange cycle didn't seen to mean anything. Think I'm 5+7 now.
It's nice to see how far along you all are.

hungry my parents will have dd for us! Potentially my sister if my mums at work when it happens. Did you mean what options will I get for labour/birth? How are you? Bet you cannot wait for Friday. This week barely counts cos it's the last week so it's countdown time. Hurrah for mat leave! No, transfusion nothing to do with existing high risk-ness, just for anaemia, I had quite a big bleed immediately after dd was born so I think they want to make sure I go into it this time full up with blood!! You were right re my due date! I'm hoping to be a bit later (although I probably won't still hope that at the time!)

mrs transfusion was fine! I've had one before anyway. I'm intolerant to iron tablets so they've no choice with me! Gosh, anyday for you now, how time has flown!
