This thread is for anyone trying to conceive for a lengthy period of time who may be considering/attending further tests/scans or is about to begin fertility treatment. I hope this thread can provide information and support, alleviate fears and can help one another to remain positive during this difficult journey that can only be understood by those experiencing it.

Hi I'm only cd27. Cycles were mainly 27-30 with one random 32. But I was doing opks for the first time this month and by cd13 they were neg! My LP is always 14 days from ov pain to af. So I was expecting 26-27 day cycle. Last month I had ov pain on 12&13 the same as this and I came on cd27.

Any ideas what could have happened? Might I not have ovd that day? Or could I just be preg? I can't be that lucky surely.

ive got one in the bedside drawer. I'm not one of these ladies that poas every day for a week tho! I want to be really late instead of just not quite sure when I'm actually due. Its the lack of spotting that's making me wonder. Always had it about 3-5 days before af and I have nothing. But if af is gonna come really late then I won't be spotting yet either...

The thing also is if I didn't ov when I got the opks then I'm def not preg as we stopped dtd after it went neg!

I was thinking of you too m33r. I was wondering if you are still actively trying since getting your ivf referral? Coz you are in the unexplained bracket aren't you?

I've been having "symptoms" since 6dpo this month! Random cramps, constant heartburn, nausea, headaches, 'green wee'! Feel really nauseous today. Tempted to test tomorrow or Sunday depending on what dh lets me! He has his sa on Monday though and its kinda late to cancel if I get a bfp on the weekend!

Not much happening here at the moment so ive been taking a back seat and just reading.

Phone says fertile week is from Monday so im ready its our 5 year anniversary next sunday so looking forward to anniversary sex lol probably be bored of it by then after a whole week of it

I'm feeling excited for you victoria I really hope its your time. I think I would test monday morning. Don't worry about late cancellation!

I got a pos opk cd 8 last time but cd11 so wondering if i will get a longer cycle? It was a day shorter last time.

Currently cd 16. Failed a but with dtd yet again. Cd 9 + 11 with a pos opk on 11, but thats all. Rubbish. Really need to have this out with dh as i am CRAP at initiating. How embarressing.

Got a cold coming too. Tired, sore throat and general yuckiness.

I saw someone was asking about grapefruit juice, I used not from concentrate, tropicana grapefruit juice. Normally the ruby red one I think.

victoria fx crossed for you and for all you ladies. Did you do smep this month? Just a word of caution, I would still go ahead with your dh's tests on Monday even if you get a bfp. Honestly the worry does not stop on this side ( i had to skip mn for about a week, as everything was getting on top of me and I was driving my dh crazy with all my what-ifs). I suspect, if you are anything like me, and get your bfp, you will also drive yourself crazy since that bfp is soooooo longed for. I anticipate a melt down along the lines of -believing something is going to go wrong and then killing yourself for cancelling dh's tests. So my best advice is to continue on with the testing so as not to give yourself any reason to go completely nuts!! Just a thought?

Hope you are all as well as can be and the fight goes on. I haven't forgot you all, its so warm and cosy and safe here and I miss you guys Smile

Hi Martie! How are you? I dont think I'd want to leave the security of this group after my bfp either.

Hubby had suggested that we just wait until after his test on Monday if af hasn't reared her ugly face. He'd rather just go not knowing anything. Why isn't he as curious as me?! I don't think I really believe it could actually happen anyway. Its sort of in my head that we must be infertile so a bfp is impossible. And i convinced myself that dh's sperm are duff coz of his health issues etc. Am still convinced I'm just late and af will come.

Hope your cold doesn't get too bad notta! I'd have words with your dh. Worked with mine. Told him we had to if we wanted a baby. Initiating is hard tho and you do feel like you shouldn't have to coz he should always want to ravish your gorgeous body etc. Work and tiredness does get in the way tho. If only we could stay frisky youths eh?

Hi blue , make sure you grab dh lots this week for your best chance of a bfp next and then everyone will be jealous of you :-) xxx

I think you should still get your dh to do his test Victoria - and sensible to wait to poas til after he's done it!!

Very glad it's the weekend and a chance to dtd a bit - was going to last night but ended up having cross words instead. Don't you just hate that? Could've been a whole month wasted there just because of a silly half hour grrrr!! My dh and I have had words too about how often to dtd and it made me feel like I was making him have a baby!!! Now sorted tho and been on a good track every other night for a couple of weeks till last night...plan on grappling him when he gets home....!

Most men I've ever known have said it's their dream to have their woman initiate so i say stick on your lushest undies and go get him!!! Good luck!!

Hi vic. If you get a BFP I would (controversially) NOT get the sa. I think it must be an awful 'measure' of masculinity for a guy. Obviously we all know it isn't but men are very different!! Any way, since you are very sensibly waiting to test, go Ahead with it and best of luck. He won't be the first or last to do it in a cup.

I'm not sure what I'm doing this month. I did am opk on thurs but not yesterday and I'm not too worried about it but we are dtd loads (more by choice than baby making) so I guess I'm much more relaxed but still giving it a good go. We also started vits this month.

vic I also know what you mean about not believing you can possibility be pg but you def can! Everything remains tightly crossed

Oh Victoria. Wallow away. I'm so sorry she got you. Take your time, eat, drink, cry and anything else you feel like and wait until you feel ready to focus on a new month and the positive of no spotting etc. Thinking of you. X

Oh vic. It is so much worse when you have had a tiny bit of hope. If you spot early or period starts early, at least you haven't had your hopes up.
Massive, massive hug from all of us. Feel crap for a few days, then you can feel postive about getting the SA and finding out some more info, and moving forward.
I hate to repeat myself but knowledge is power.
Be very kind to yourself xxx

I just re-read opk tests and apparently I shouldn't have been doing them first thing in the morning. I feel like a bloody amateur and then I realise that's because I am....!!
