lil I loved seeing my ovaries. I saw a HUGE follicle and she said that the one that put my egg out that monthZ amazing. She did however then measure it - again amazing - but it was only 11mm and would be 17+ if the wee egg was trying to sustain a pg so I knew right away I was out another month.

Other advice, where a skirt of you can!ade me feel less self conscious. Good luck!

onelifeonechance · 07/04/2014 15:37

Good fashion advice m33r Wink

I tried reflexology a little while back. Went twice, really enjoyed it. But she told me both times my reproductive bits all felt fine and it's pretty expensive so I haven't been back. But I do keep thinking maybe I should have given it more of a shot.....Hmm Also considered acupuncture but the thought of the needles puts me right off! Massages I like, needles I don't!!!! But if you good ladies can tell me it works then I will reconsider, willing to try anything!!

Some good news for me, hycosy appointment has come through, 5 week countdown starts here. It's really good timing as it's after our hol this month so we can crack on for that as we're away right before and over ov so timing is perfect! And the appt is just before I'm due to ov in the next cycle so we can also carry on afterwards as from the info sheet they gave me you're not supposed to dtd before the procedure but no probs afterwards, so means we shouldn't have to take a month off. This is of course all depending on whether AF behaves herself, if she alters a bit then we're stuffed! But for now I'm keeping my fingers crossed and thanking the appointment fairy as it's the date I would have picked if I could have booked it myself Smile

Hope everyone is well and feeling chirpy on this dull, wet, grey Monday!! Nearly home time ladies..... Grin

xBlueberry88x · 07/04/2014 16:48

gingerbreadbabyplease im not due AF till 16th/17th so to early for AF symptoms for me so fingers crossed lol.

onelifeonechance acupuncture freaks me out to but lots of people say its worth it.

I have no idea where to start looking for a proper person to do either acupuncture or reflexology where i live either will have to start looking into it next month if nothing happens this month.

Grey and dark where I am to cant wait for the summer.

victoria401 · 07/04/2014 21:22

This was in an email from my reflexologist, not looked at this website myself but you might find something?

"Probably the best place to look for a reflexologist is on the IIR website at the find a reflexologist section. All of these reflexologists are trained by the same organisation as I was"

lil1ady · 08/04/2014 08:54

thanks m33r not feeling too worried as I've had a couple of these in the past. it does annoy me that they don't prepare you for any of it though! Will definitely get a skirt out, thankfully the sun is shining!

sazzlehopes · 08/04/2014 10:45

Hello all, RE: maca, yes ginger I took it too up to ov as I wasn't sure about it after. Then waited for af, then started again. But it was my OH that was really popping it. You can buy as a powder to add to smoothies etc, it has quite a malty taste. Or pill is obviously easier.
There's some good info here: natural-fertility-info.com/maca

Also I did reflexology, just one session because actually i then became preggo. I liked it, also not being a fan of needles either onelife! Actually I think I could have persuaded OH to go for acupuncture as somehow that seems more manly than reflexology?! It wasn't cheap though, cheaper granted than IVF (I have one ds already so would have had to pay) so I decided I was going to give it at least 3 months and go from there.

Otherwise all we did was make sure our diets were tip top. And also I bought a clear blue fertility monitor. Which I used for 4 months before falling preggo.

Hope your scan goes well lil i too would be excited about seeing ovaries ! When do you get the chance hey?!
onelife glad your appointment has come through, enjoy your holiday. x
imaginary no super lucky, no real morning sickness, I was lucky with ds too. No symptoms at all really, not tired, not nauseous. Sometimes that is good and bad, it's odd at the beginning, you worry you don't feel preggo. When I got my bfp I had no symptoms whatsoever!
m33r sorry you know you're out because of your scan, but glad you are closer to your appointment xx

lil1ady · 08/04/2014 11:18

well the scan was OK I guess as they didn't say they saw anything bad. I couldn't really see the monitor but dh did! but he said it was odd because when u go for an ultrasound you're supposed to see a baby Sad

anyway, the ultrasound woman said it was early in my cycle so they will probably want me to come back so I had to wait to see nurse. nurse was clueless and is going to speak to Dr about whether I need to go back and phone me to let me know.

but I'm taking from it that there was no mention of anything bad so it must all be OK in there. biggest follicle 8mm in right ovary, fx its the one and I can end all this undressing!

xBlueberry88x · 08/04/2014 11:26

Morning everyone,

Crappy day today feeling nauseous, weird poking pain in right hand of stomach.

Found out that my boss has lymphoma hes only in his late 30's, works going to be hard an tiring for a while as hes barely in poor man.

Just want to curl up in a ball today.

CD 19/20 today.

Hope everyone is good.

I think i will definately look into reflexology or acupuncture next cycle.

m33r · 08/04/2014 14:38

Hey sazz. I'm now never out til AF gets here. Cd 31 - usual cycles 29- 35 days. I'm hanging on!!

lil sorry your nurse was rubbish. I felt terrible for you re DH's comment - it's heartbreaking to see them upset / as upset as we are. Sometimes I wonder if I'd prefer indifference from DH (I know I def wouldn't really)!

bluebery hope your day picks up!

lil1ady · 08/04/2014 15:34

Oh blueberry that's awful. kind of puts things into perspective doesn't it Sad
hope it doesn't cause you too much stress though.

m33r its funny how dh sees these tests happening as "we've failed" so I think he's taking things quite hard ATM, but I'm happier because something is being done. he's still convinced each month it could happen but whilst I haven't given up, I don't believe its going to happen naturally for us now. weird we've gone totally opposite ways on it. I do at least have another scan appointment for next Monday!

hope everyone is having an OK day

xBlueberry88x · 08/04/2014 15:39

m33r day hasnt really picked up I feel overly emotional today and works peeing me off trying not to cry at stupid things.

lil1ady it really does poor bloke he only popped in briefly today but just felt so bad for the poor guy, he has to kids as well ones 4 and ones not even 1 yet Sad

Day 21 tests on Thursday and then I can finally make a docs appointment to get to the next level

victoria401 · 08/04/2014 19:56

My first month using opks and now cd11 I have a pos test. Feeling silly and happy and dancing about. Guess its nice to know your body does work. Hubby putting a downer on it though by moping that its prob his fault. Pouncing on him and his faulty goods later though anyway! I'm feeling more optimistic now as its been over 3 months since he gave up smoking and 2 months since taking vits. Something might have improved? Says it takes 3 months for sperm to totally renew.

xBlueberry88x · 08/04/2014 21:11

So happy for you victoria!!

Hopefully this is the month for us all

lil1ady · 08/04/2014 21:24

yay Victoria its good to see a line on something isn't it! just tell ur dh it only takes one little swimmer so even if he has a bad sa, he will still be making millions of good ones! and stopping smoking will definitely have made a difference! and not just to his spunk! well done to him for giving up

have eaten dominos pizza and ice cream tonight. now feeling fat and disappointed with myself!

Lindsay81 · 08/04/2014 22:11

victoria I know that feeling! Had my first OPK+ last cycle and this month again! Soooo happy for you!
I'm sure you'll be making DH feel like his goods are fine tonight! ;-) Hopefully there are no problems at all and this might be your month!

Lindsay81 · 08/04/2014 22:12

OMG lol, lil.... Spunk! :-D

Haha lil! I also had pizza last night, and beer and easter eggs!! Blush Had a pretty rubbish day though so just felt like pigging out.
I am on cd27 today, my happiness at B6 giving me a longer LP is now starting to wane! I got a positive opk on day 16 and 17, but am now starting to worry it is going to mess my cycles up! Gah I can't win!! I couldn't resist and POAS this morning, it was BFN of course, but it could possibly still be too early (I hope!)

Lindsay did you ever worry that AF would never turn up rather than being happy that you have got a longer LP!? Did you get your positive opk any earlier again this month, or will you just have a longer wait to AF?

Hurray to the +ve Victoria! It is hilarious how happy it makes you feel when you see those 2 little lines! cd11 is a good day too, nice and early! Well done to your DH for quitting smoking, I have also heard 3 months is the magic number, so fingers crossed for you. I am hoping if we start a healthy eating/living plan now in 3 months time hopefully we will see some results!

Blueberry hope you are feeling a bit brighter today, hope the sun is shining where you are!

lil glad everything went ok at the scan, hopefully you get a more helpful nurse next time! Think I will ring the Dr today to make an appointment, get the ball rolling again. Sigh.

Hope everyone else is ok and starting to see signs of spring! Apparently we are in for a heat wave in May Grin

Jessewalt · 09/04/2014 09:54

Hi ladies - been enjoying reading all your updates this week.
I am feeling quite calm this week, as I have kind of realised that whatever happens, happens and we just need to do everything possible.
For the first time, I don't really know when I ovulated this month, maybe day 12/13 when my Ewcm disappeared. Also been having the lightest spotting all through the 2ww so far. I am at the stage I can't really be bothered overanalysing this.
Mr Jesse has his second SA on the 22nd. After that, back to gp for our first joint appointment. I hae suggested to him the he books "the room" at the hospital for this as it took him 1 hour to get the sample there last time. that is within accepted limits but surely the sooner it is analysed, the more accurate the results. Then we are going to ask for nhs referral and also maybe go an see someone privately as my area has reportedly a long wait for fertility.
Maybe one of these months will be lucky for one of us! Who is next??!! Xx

Lindsay81 · 09/04/2014 11:45

Hi ginger

My OPK+ was 3 days earlier than last months. Last month I went from 25 day cycle and 7/ 8 day LP to a 30 day cycle and 11 day LP. This month, I'm hoping my cycle length is static at 30 days because that would mean a "normal" LP of 13/14 days. But we'll see!

I didn't worry that AF wasn't goin to come because I tend to get cramps from about 5 days out so it felt like she was on her way anyway. You say you got a OPK+ so it's very likely you ovulated... Therefore I would be happy that it is very likely either AF will show with a good LP or you could be knocked-up! :-)

victoria401 · 09/04/2014 13:03

Ooo I hope we get a heatwave in May as our caravan holiday :-) don't want to be stuck indoors playing scramble! Lol

How are you feeling today blue?

The nurse was crap when I had my ovary scan too lil. Its like they thrive off keeping stuff hidden from the patient!

Just looked at the new stat list on the may bus. Only one other person over the 12month mark and so many others talking about the kids they already have. Def not fitting in there. Still gonna watch it for all the neurotic crap thats spoken about. Some of it is quite funny. The things that go on in other ttc ladies heads eh?

Well pos opk last night, side pains on the right, the right!, today so they do work! Will keep using them til they GP neg. If following smep need to dtd again few days running but hate asking DH. Can't remember the last time, if ever! we have dtd 2 days in a row!

Reflexology tonight :-) happy Wednesday x

xBlueberry88x · 09/04/2014 13:18

Afternoon ladies,

Feeling a little better to day I was so emotional yesterday kept wanting to cry and actually did because DH hadnt got something out of the car like he had said lol

Still feeling a little nauseous today and pin like pains in belly.

Victoria im starting to feel the same about the April bus two more BFP's today and making me feel sad.

Jesse nice to see someone so calm that has to be the best way to go about it but im not so good at it with this lol.

Ginger wait and see it might make your cycles work better just give it a chance I guess, its my first month taking AC havent noticed anything different yet really.

lil1ady · 09/04/2014 20:00

Victoria how long did your spotting last after your ultrasound? I've noticed a tiny bit today, and a bit of cramping. I never get spotting and don't normally get cramps at this point in my cycle so I'm assuming its from the ultrasound. Did you get cramps at all? Sorry, trying not to freak out and remembered you had the spotting after yours so trying to tell myself it's normal!

m33r · 09/04/2014 20:18

Hi lil. I got no spotting so can't help but didn't want to read and run. Hope others can help.

sazzlehopes · 09/04/2014 20:58

Victoria have you been trying 17 months but this is your first ever month using opks? How did you work out ov and when best to dtd before? If you are excited to see a +ve opk a little early, do you think you could have missed you ideal time these last months?! I swear that using opk and my clear blue fertility monitor (basically a more fancy opk machine) did the trick for me and 'made' me dtd when perhaps I wouldn't have been sure....
FX this is your month then!
