I know some of us on here are mums already but the Facebook Mother's Day chat is doing my head in? Anyone else?
Martie - I hear you about all the comments. I kind of avoided an entire group of friends for a while as I was worried they would comment, but then I realised that life is too short and they can think what they like! I do wish my life away though - must stop this!
Day 10 today, going to try preseed tonight for first time. Hubby also had an appointment tomorrow for second SA but he has been told to cancel it ( by me!) I refuse to waste our fertile days! Xx

Martie1 · 30/03/2014 15:36

lol jesse the decisions we have to make- 'waste' those precious swimmers on SA or dtd in the hope of a bfp! lol.
i just had a tesco's finest strawberries and cream 'yoghurt'- freaking delicious and cheering me up!

Martie1 · 30/03/2014 15:36

btw jesse let us know how you get on with the pre-seed!

victoria401 · 30/03/2014 19:51

Argh! I'm on the verge on buying my first piece of nursery furniture to go with my Thomas the tank box set please knock some sense into me guys! I'm tempting fate! But its so cute with teddies on it.... Can't really hide it from the hubby either!

maybug3 · 30/03/2014 21:02

Victoria - sit ups, star jumps, and a 10 km run seems appropriate for you right now, but I so know what it's like! Have all sorts of things hidden away myself. Always made worse when friends and family give me things ready 'for when I need them'!

Marte and jesse i Have also had a bad few days for people making comments and hints. It's so hard and I have become a bit more open with some friends but there are certain people I just don't want to share with.

Actually ducked out of two social occasions this week for that reason. Both involved friends with their children and I decided I just couldn't face it!

Have had a lovely weekend though. .. its always amazing how much better I feel when the sun comes out.

Af due Wednesday assuming nothing new this month. She's pretty reliable for me, not that that is proving to be a good thing for me. So just sitting and waiting, trying so hard not to let myself hope too much, knowing how much it hurts each time my hopes are dashed. Also dreading the fact I'm away with work when I'm due on so won't be able to feel sorry for myself but will have to put on the act.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. X

Lindsay81 · 30/03/2014 22:31

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! I'm travelling this week so probably be a bit MIA. So far so good with trying not to obsess (too much), although only cd9! Haha! No
Opks so far though and not taking any away With me.

Martie and maybug I had a weekend like that too. Family parties with umpteen kids, family asking about our family plans etc etc. people don't mean any harm, as you say... But it still gets to you. My favourite comment this weekend was "You guys shouldn't wait too long, you know". Shut up!!!!!!! Lol

Hope you have a good trip, maybug, anywhere nice?

xBlueberry88x · 31/03/2014 10:37

Morning...

Firstly Victoria im still hereee what did you report me for lol.

Hi Martie, people are very helpful with comments and we all know the feeling!! Good luck with the possible signs I have my fingers crossed for you. And yes my whole life seems to be about ttc its madness really everything is based around what time of the month it is.

Victoria im the same I see so many things that is want to buy for a baby and really have to try hard to stop myself. I have bought some story books lol.

Had a good weekend but far to busy for my liking.

I always have quite severe tiredness I was diagnosed coeliac last year they believed this was what made me tired but I still get it and am starting to believe is down to something else.

Day 12 for me today DH already know hes going to be kept busy this week lol and stepped up twice yesterday already...good man.

Hope everyone is good today even if it is a Monday!!

Jessewalt · 31/03/2014 15:18

Quick update on preseed. Far too slippy! Not sure hubby is going to want to use that again! However, using a tiny bit may be useful, but not any more than 0.5ml.
Sorry if too much info for a Monday!

victoria401 · 31/03/2014 15:42

Glad nothing happened to you blue! I just was scrolling on my phone and thunked finger down too hard and hit report!

may I would of course do all those exercises stated but unfortunately I'm still period pain-y even tho cd3 :-(

Jesse get back on the grapefruit juice, filled my fridge full of it yesterday in prep for Saturday onwards as trying smep!

MIL has arranged family picnic at Easter I want to avoid. Be full of all the cousins etc who are popping them out like there is no tomorrow! Both DH and myself come from massive fertile families, why aren't we?!

Got "the next bookable" appointment with GP to discuss ultrasound results. April bloody 15th! I'll be another year older by then!

maybug3 · 31/03/2014 16:10

Victoria - virtual completion is fine then. Hugs.

I'm still waiting on my first appointment with my new doctors and also passed a birthday last week in the wait but have it this Friday. I share your pain! Hopefully they will care more than my last GP, but whether they care or not i'm so much better informed now thanks to you all at least I can fight for the first phase of tests

And I'm not disclosing the purchases I've made over the last two years! Keep thinking what a lovely surprise they'll be when I can finally admit to them ;-)

Normalisavariantofcrazy · 31/03/2014 16:41

Hi all!

Tut tut all you buying baby bits! So easy to do tho and I've had to stop myself. Although I have decorated the spare room to a neutral yellow colour and put child friendly curtains up.

Victoria I sympathise on the family BBQ my family have them every year and my cousins are also popping babies out at a rate of notes, it's double whammy as last years fell on the day I miscarried so it's all a bit raw for me

I hope those of you with appointments get good news and answers start coming.

AF was due yesterday, didn't come got a BFN this morning, had a bit of light pink spotting late morning and then nothing.

I don't feel pg so think my cycle is playing silly fuckers again. Waiting for CD1 to get here so I can go to the GP and get the appointments started.

lil1ady · 31/03/2014 21:18

Hi everyone.

sounds like there are a few birthdays coming up! I am also looking to avoid forward to one in a few weeks. Next year will be the big 3-0 so I'm hoping for a bfo in time to give birth in my 20s. I shan't hold my breath though.

sorry for the wonky cycles Sad . cd6 here and as the last 2 cycles have been 39 days the 28days I'm going to have to rely on the cbfm and opks to make sure I'm ready when the egg shows!

referral appointment tomorrow so that will be interesting! m33r yours is this week isn't it? how are you feeling about it?

m33r · 31/03/2014 21:33

Hey lil. Yeah mine is weds. I'm feeling ok. A bit indifferent as I don't really expect any answers. You never know though. Maybe I'm just being defensive. I also want to check before they start prodding around that if I were pg the poking around won't cause any damage ... Ridiculous but hey ho

How're you feeling? What time you in at?counting on you to tell me EVERYTHING!

Hope the rest of us are feeling a bit more positive... And all you people buying things - star jumps !!!!

:-) happy Monday!

Martie1 · 01/04/2014 09:20

Ladies, smep works, or grapefruit juice or the his & hers pregnacare conception tablets. I just got a bfp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's first thing in the morning and I had to tell someone, hubby won't be home til around 6. He will obviously be the first 'real life' person to know. Jessewalt · 01/04/2014 09:33

Martie - when you have a chance - can you let us know when you dtd, anything different, anything new this month! X

Martie1 · 01/04/2014 09:59

Jesse, i have all day! being self-employed im supposed to be at my laptop doing work but im a little distracted today!

I drank my grapefruit juice, it was tropicana not from concentrate, pink grapefruit juice. A large glass everyday, even beyond ovulation. Though I stopped at the middle of last week. I got absolutely no ewcm so I thought it wasn't working! In fact, tmi, i was very dry altogether this month so it was very disheartening. GO figure!

Then we have both also been taking the pregnacare tablets from him and her, every evening after our meals. We haven't always been on time, and missed a few.

Also we did smep. I have a approximately a 34 day cycle. It fluctuates. I have gone as long as 41 days since I came off the pill. We missed dtd on Cd8 as we dtd on cd7, (you're supposed to start on cd8), we dtd on cd10, cd12, cd15, cd16, cd17, cd 21 and also cd26. I got a solid smiley on cd16, so we were supposed to dtd on cd16,17&18, but we were wrecked come 18 and fell asleep. I was very disappointed in myself!! lol. check back on my posts, i have really been struggling with the disappointment of ttc. This is our 12th cycle trying, i came off the pill in early Feb 2013 and i was confident something was wrong since it took so long. Ive just registered with my dh gp as wanted to get testing next cycle!

In terms on symptoms, i have had sore boobs from cd 22. Yesterday, this went away, so it lasted a whole week. I usually get sore boobs pre-af, but maybe only 5 days to a week before so this got my hopes up but I was trying to be sensible as my getting my hopes has really destroyed me in the past year. The pain was different thought, pre-af they are usually full and sore for 2 days, maybe 2. This was just like an achy pain. I kept pressing my boobs to see if it was still there as it got fainter in the last couple of days. Also on saturday, i was having some horrible abdominal pain, nothing us ladies can't manage though. I thought again in was an early af. Now tmi, but going to the toilet on Sunday was not pretty and on Sunday night, i definitely had the runs. i told hubby and he declared yesterday afternoon that he also had a jippy tummy and it must be something we ate. Maybe he was trying to keep my emotions down.
Also y'day and today, i have woken from bed in a pretty sweaty state (which is kind of annoying since I washed my hair last night and it's now standing on end!). I suspect this is my raised temperature!

I am really hoping this is a start of a snowball effect for our wee thread. Grin

victoria401 · 01/04/2014 10:33

Omg Martie what fab news! Congratulations!

Ive got a fridge full of from concentrate grapefruit juice and planning on smep this cycle, along with my first packet of opks. Need to start dtd this Sat. Really really hope hubby is obliging as I'm feeling lucky this month as its my bday month. I love April! My BFP due April 26th watch this space!!

Enjoy a mini booze free celebration with your OH tonight! Best of luck and keep popping in to see how the rest of us are doing won't you?

victoria401 · 01/04/2014 10:36

Oh was so caught up in the news I forgot to post what I came in for! Getting hubby to call docs today as I realised this morning its been SEVEN weeks since he was meant to have been referred for his SA! I think they didn't do it as I re-read the leaflet this morning and it says an appointment will be sent to you WITHIN THREE WEEKS! he's been missed guaranteed. I'm frustrated and going insane from the waiting!

That is all.

mama31 · 01/04/2014 11:53

Martie!!!!!!! Eeeeeeeek!!!!! amazing news! Massive congrats to you both. I have waited for this moment on this thread to give us all some hope! And please tell us how your DH took the news! I'm sure he will be so so happy. Amazing! What a great start to today!!!!

Just as I thought! Docs hadn't sent the referral letter! 7 weeks of waiting for nothing! Angry is not the word right now! We could have had answers by now and now we'll be waiting another 5 weeks!

m33r · 01/04/2014 13:22
