Hi m33r Yep, she conceived after 2 years naturally, had a miscarriage, bought the cbfm (which she swears by) and then conceived again 4 months later. She just had her 12 week scan and all looks good.

lil Thanks for the offer! I'll see what she sends me, I'm hoping all the bits and pieces will be there. What's your thoughts on it?

lil1ady · 25/03/2014 22:51

tbh lindsay it hasn't given me anything I didn't already get from opks. but I've never had problems getting lines on the new ones. I've only used it two months so far but has been nice to know the opks are matching. the downside is having to poas every morning for 10 or 20 mornings. my first cycle with it I did 20 sticks as I ovd cd25 then this month only 10 as I ovd cd14. 10 wasn't so bad, so if u have a short/normal cycle it would be bareable. I'd say its worth trying if you aren't having to shell out for it.

victoria401 · 26/03/2014 10:35

Amazing news for your friend Lindsay there is hope for us all yet!

cd23 and been cramping and spotting since the ultrasound Sunday. Called the dept just now and they said its not normal side effect and to call gp if I'm worried. Not gonna bother til I have to go in a discuss u/s results with her. Af due on weekend/early next week anyway. Although I'm half expecting her any minute.

Anyone else got news this grotty cold morning ? (sorry in a bad way today)

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 26/03/2014 13:18

Hugs vic, I'm with you though, feeling a bit crap today. Just feel a bit flat. Really didn't want to come into work today, I don't really like my job and was hoping to have been on mat leave by now. I feel like I'm coming down with a cold too. For good news though we did manage to DTD last night, and I've started getting ewcm so hoping for a +ve opk in the next day or two. We've got a party on sat night that should be lots of fun that I have been looking forward to, and being able to drink, but I realised yesterday that when the party is done and dusted I still won't be pregnant and will have a sore head instead. I'm getting fed up of this emotional rollercoaster Confused
When will you be going in to discuss the results vic? Maybe cramping and spotting is down to something else? How many DPO are you now, have you been tempted to POAS?

Happy Birthday lindsay!!! Hope you have a fabulous day, and am very envious I can't try any of that carrot cake, although there are donuts at work so maybe I will eat one in your honour......

Jessewalt · 26/03/2014 13:59

Happy birthday Lindsay, and the sun is shining!
Just back from the most amazing week away. Spent most of it outside walking, and generally just enjoying spending a week snuggled up to hubby.
Feeling a bit flat now though, just got home and it feels like I had forgotten all about fertility while we were away, and now back to reality. Must keep positive, and focused.
Good luck for results Victoria.
Also, as hubby's SA showed low motility, I was thinking about pre seed. I actually get quite a lot of EWCM but anything is worth a try at this stage - anyone else used it. I have heard it is sticky. Eeeeewww.

lil1ady · 26/03/2014 14:23

hi all

happy birthday Lindsay (cake)

Vic fx its not AF turning up, and hope u don't have to wait too long for us results

Jesse we've used pressed. I wouldn't say its sticky. I'd say watery. I put it in with the applicator when we are going to DTD but I do it lying down on the bed to avoid seepage! its expensive so I hate the thought of wasting any!

re motility though, dhs first sa showed 60m count 4%motility and 3% morphology so he started taking fertilaid and fertilaid motility boost. a couple of weeks later he had his second sa and had 88m count 5% morphology but motility had increased to 20%! it says it can take 3months to work fully but the only thing he changed in that short time was the supplements. will be interesting to see what his next sa is at fertility clinic as he's been taking them almost 2 months now.

mama31 · 26/03/2014 15:07

Happy Birthday Lindsay! X

Hi girls, I'm only 8dpo and cd23. Too early for af and been spotting since this scan on cd21 so can't be coincidence. Ive spotted from cd24 on a 28 day cycle before but never this long before, and I was expecting another 30day cycle. They said GP will have the results of scan "no longer than 14days" after. I assume GP will contact me when they're in. I will call after a week anyway.

Glad you had a nice week away Jesse, hope I can forget about ttc on our hol in May unless on 2ww or ov-ing!

Happy birthday Lindsay! Hope you're doing something nice x

victoria401 · 26/03/2014 15:49

Oh and I dont poas til I'm late!

Jessewalt · 26/03/2014 16:06

My husband has been taking wellman conception vitamins - does anybody know if it is worth switching to another type eg fertilaid etc? Suspect it is 6 and 2 threes x

Lindsay81 · 26/03/2014 16:59

Aw, thanks for all the nice wishes girls! :) Working today unfortunately and a quiet one tonight but dinner out with family tomorrow so looking forward to that.

victoria This spotting sucks! Hoping it's just a one off for you and probably connected to the scan. You are so good with the POAS stuff! Haha!

jesse Glad you had nice time! At least the sun is shining today, but it's never nice to come back to reality, is it? Re preseed, we tried Conceive-Plus (basically the same) and I would agree that it is VERY slide-y and watery. DH hated it... he said it was so slippy that there wasn't ANY feeling/ friction and well... he struggled to you-know-what! I think it was the combination of the slipperiness and also the fact they put a picture of a baby on the bottle and call it "Conceive-Plus"! How un-sexy! Haha! We've never used it again!

m33r · 26/03/2014 17:56

Hey girls. No time to catch up with veryone but jesse yes I've used preseed and it's totally fine! It actually helped get me 'ready' a bit quicker (sorry tmi). It recommends using 5ml though - DON'T! - 2.5-3ml will be plenty but won't 'drown' you. I never used the five as ladies on here advised me so thought I'd do the same. X

lil1ady · 26/03/2014 18:08

Jesse dh was taking Wellman conception for 12 months before the first sa

Jessewalt · 26/03/2014 18:09

Thanks for the advice m33r and Lindsay, we are going to try it - nothing to lose!

Jessewalt · 26/03/2014 20:45

Lil - now that is very interesting. Will look into fertilaid.

mama31 · 26/03/2014 21:08

Hi ladies. I've been lying low still waiting on full flow af, I suspect tomorrow. Been spotting steadily last 4 days so just waiting on full flow- always feel rubbish during this time. It's nearly easier when it actually arrives. Going to increase my dose of AC after af clears off.

Sorry some of you are also feeling gloomy...it sucks!
But I'm sure spirits will lift again soon....we need some nice warm weather that usually lifts the spirits.

Victoria very annoying about the spotting. It sounds as though it's related to your scan but who knows...we never really get answers about these things...I don't think anyone, fertility specialist or not, even knows!

I haven't used pressed before so can't help there I'm afraid. Haven't felt I needed it but do take grapefruit juice and epo up to ovulation so I'm sure that helps. Does pressed help if SA shows motility issues?? DH had his SA yesterday, told to ring GP for results 4-6 wks, hoping he can ring and get them before then as that's way too long! He took it like a man and didn't moan a bit, but I think he is quite anxious about the results. Trying not to think about it until we hear- no point worrying about anything before it happens.

Hope everyone is ok. And I hope we can get some more positive vibes on here soon- I know we will, but for now we all just need support and a good old moan! I will bounce back after af comes and goes, ready to tackle cycle 11.

I know sometimes it's hard to stay patient with ttc....but we will all get there....never give up hope or belief...that is important. x

Hi all I hope you're well and lindsay that you had a nice birthday!

It's reassuring to hear my husband isn't alone in how he is but still, it's frustrating Grin

I'm 9 going into 10dpo still getting period pain and today I've had horrible heartburn and post nasal drip that's driving me mad. I only have a 24 day cycle the past couple of cycles so tomorrow I'll be cd21 and it's so hard not to test!! Trying to hold off until Monday unless AF arrives.

Keeping everything crossed for you all ladies

Martie1 · 26/03/2014 21:26

Hi all, lots of interesting information on here the last few days. I have not tried pre-seed or any like it but will certainly consider trying it now. Unfortunately despite my grapefruit juice guzzling I had absolutely no ewcm this cycle, none, not even any cm at all. So I guess we could try some assistance.

mama im so sorry to hear about your AF. It's a killer waiting on the inevitable, all you want to do is move onto the ovulation stage again, at least that's what I do. victoria your spotting must be related to your scan, it's the only 'logical' explanation asifanyofthisnonsensehasanylogicinvolvedinitAngry
im running on a similar cycle to you. Im on cd24, and 7dpo, my cycle averages 34 days. I have very tender boobs at moment, and while that normally does happen a week before AF I feel this is all too early. I also ov on cd16 and I think this was early for me. Also have a dull cramp, but my cramps typically don't occur until 2 days before AF and never in conjunction with the sore boobs. Obvshopingthattheseareallgoodsignsbut totally resigned to the fact that this is probably me having a screwed up cycle.

Anyway, happy hump day, the week is half over! Im a glass half full kinda gal mostofthetime

Martie1 · 26/03/2014 21:27

Ah crappy, all that underlining was supposed to be strikethroughs, im no good at this Blush

victoria401 · 26/03/2014 22:05

Hi Martie, yes I'm on cd24 too and I ovd on cd16, that's why I was expecting 30day cycle. Last month I had late ov at 18 and 32 day cycle.

Am in a very sad mood today and I'm hoping it will lift soon! Still putting on an everythings fine face for work tho of course. Have been in bed since just before 9 watching tv as we've just got a new one! Also drinking wine in bed! Tut!

Reading back a few posts yes a lot of gloomy people on here. Mostly because of cramps I see. Most odd....

maybug3 · 26/03/2014 22:29

Remind me what our punishment was for symptom spring again? Need someone to shake me. I should know better, only 5dpo but feeling queasy with mild stomach cramps. Way to early for af. No doubt just a bug so why do I do it to myself? Sometimes the hope is the killer! Why do we have to wait so long to know anything. Wish we could ov and know the next day.

Still we can at least start the countdown to the weekend. What is everyone up to? We need some positivity here!

Martie1 · 26/03/2014 22:39

maybug I think it's sit ups- a lot of them! And I am definitely guilty and am heading straight away, i mean right now, just a second, to do them. lol.

TBH i don't think im symptom spotting, more messed up cycle spotting!
victoria wine sounds like a fantastic cure, and in bed too with the TV. Heaven! I hope your sad mood passes sounds like you have all the food-groups lined up there to help sort that, wine wine and more wine! Wine

I wish I could add some super cheeryness to this thread, but I have a thoroughly boring weekend ahead plan and am currently doing work on my laptop. Oh the life of self-employment {sigh} Anyone else got any chipperness to perk the rest of us up? Any takers Smile

lil1ady · 26/03/2014 23:07

I have read a lot on Mon that increasing water intake improves ewcm ladies. I get loads of the stuff so never been something I've researched that much but I was on a thread trying to increase water intake for general health and a few of the ladies ttc noticed the ttc benefits! tastes better than grapefruit anyways Grin

AF showed up here today. feeling OK about it though as she's bang on time and now I can focus on the appointment next week. PMA! how are you feeling about yours m33r?

Victoria wine is definitely the answer. andBiscuit Biscuit Wink

mama 4-6 weeks for sa results?! that's awful! we had to wait 2 weeks and that was bad enough. bonkers that they have to have it in a one hour time frame then they make you wait an eternity for the results. fx they come sooner.

Jesse i couldn't find details online of what was in fertilaid so if you want me to pm you the vits in them and %rdas let me know. dh has also started the count boost this month.

not sure I have anything to cheer you up but if I think of anything I'll let u know!

lil1ady · 26/03/2014 23:35

mn not Mon!

Jessewalt · 27/03/2014 07:14

Lil that would be massively helpful to pm me and I can compare with wellman. I looked online tonight and they are expensive but happy to try.
