ginger I'd rather find out with af as poas gets your hopes up unnecessarily and I can't cope with my emotions being put up and down like that!

Saturday pm I'm helping my bezzie out hosting her daughter's 8th birthday party. Its odd as we have been mates since we were 8 ourselves and always talked about being preg the same time and our kids playing together. Now by the time I have kids hers will be too old to play with mine. Sad really. Anyway I'm sure it will be fun, mad and Knackering! Sunday I've got my ultrasound! Had to check with the dept that the Sunday date wasn't a misprint and got a funny look off the receptionist! (i work at the hospital so could just pop down the corridor and ask!)

Hope you all have good weekends :-)

mama31 · 21/03/2014 11:39

Lindsay I was thinking of testing Sunday also but will only be 10dpo by then! But that is good for me! Haha! I'm such a loon! I will hold off until Sunday and we can do it together?!

I'm dreading it already, I know what the answer will be....but somehow I like to convince myself it could be the month for me! as we all do I'm sure.

I'm being very good today not symptom spotting at all, simply because there is nothing to spot! Not a symptom or sign of af or bfp! I'm just glad there's no spotting, that's keeping me happy for now :)

Lindsay81 · 21/03/2014 15:46

mama At the risk of reverse symptom spotting, I just snarfed about 6 cream crackers spread with about an inch of butter and this is a monthly occurrence for me. Haha! To be fair, I'm most proud of my body this month so she can come when she likes now! But if nothing by Sunday morning, I shall meet you here to share our results!

mama31 · 21/03/2014 16:27

I have bloat/dull ache today.....could it be the bacon and egg on toast plus 2 creme eggs I devoured at lunch.....yes! Bit crampy though, as in af on the way! But too early for that! Cd20 today!

I go away for 2 days and there is so much chat!
Currently sitting in a hotel in Skye, looking out to the Cuillins and about to have a beer. Now, I would not be doing that if I was preggers. Having a lovely, lovely time!
Sadly no sex for us this week as AF well and truly arrived! Cycle 10 was 27 days with 14 day LP (if you don't count the spotting), which is good, so feeling pleased.
Also had my day 2 bloods done (but they were actually done on day 1), so waiting for results. Lovely hubby has another sample to do next week too. After that I think we will book private appointment for some more info, probably while also getting my GP to send nhs one.
So much to think about!
Have a lovely weekend everyone, set aside some time to do something extra specially lovely xxx

onelifeonechance · 21/03/2014 17:32

Mama, drop to the floor! Sit ups, now!!!!!! Grin

Jesse, sounds absolute bliss, enjoy every second!!!!

Happy Friday everyone!!!!!!!!!!

Lindsay81 · 21/03/2014 17:42

OMG jesse that's where I got married!!! I wonder if it's the same hotel/ area? I just love it there and it will always be so special for me. Also, your last cycle sounds great! It will be only time for you, I'm sure xo

mama31 · 21/03/2014 17:56

Hahahahahaha!!!! Sorry I'm actually laughing at myself, if I didn't I'd have to sign myself in!! I just poas! See I told you I was impulsive...it just happened, don't even know how! obviously bfn at 8dpo on about the 100th (well diluted, almost clear) pee of the day...its official...I am mental!

I now thankfully have no tests in my house and I am determined not to buy any...but might need to avoid shops to make sure of that. what am I like?! And I can't even lie about it....i just had to tell! someone seriously tell me to chill out!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 21/03/2014 20:46

Mama!! Haha that is funny! Just like me though when I slightly POAS at 7dpo!! Also very naughty, tie your hands behind your back and do 25 star jumps!! Don't even think about going out to buy more sticks until AF is officially late.
jesse sounds like an absolutely lovely weekend, good luck for all your upcoming tests/results, try not to think about it all this weekend though, enjoy your drinks and time with your lovely hubby Smile Was your last cycle the result of VitB or AC or anything?
victoria sunday is a random day to have a hospital appointment! Good luck for it, interesting to hear what they have to say/do. Have a lovely time at the party on saturday, hope you've got some wine squirreled away for the grown ups Smile

mama31 · 22/03/2014 10:07

I know Ginger I need to stop myself. My boobs are sore today- that is usual pre af symptom, not bfp symptom spotting :(

Lindsay81 · 22/03/2014 12:40

Naughty mama!!! LOL!

Well, AF arrived today! Didn't I say that the cream cracker snarfing was always my signal! LOL! SO happy with that. 7 days added to my cycle (30 days) and 4 days to my LP (11 days). Hoping for earlier ovulation next month!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! I went and killed myself with a double Les Mills session at the gym, as I was relaxing my work-outs a tad in the TWW. :-) Goibg to a rugby match with DH later, then tomorrow: chill!

mama31 · 22/03/2014 18:23

Awh no Lindsay! But good that your cycle is better in length and LP! Sounds like you have a nice night ahead also :)

I'm feeling really rubbish and not putting it down to symptoms at all, actually feel like I'm getting a bug or something. Tired, lying in bed and have felt very very queasy all day but queazy like a tummy bug :(

I need support today! Just come back from best mates daughters bday party. House full of kids laughter and noise, was wonderful! I've just come back to my quiet empty house (hubby is away for the night) and I feel lonely and tearful. Also my bezzie told me another of our joint friends has just found out she is expecting her 3rd kid, they were not ttc as #2 is only 6 months old. She has an appointment next week to "discuss her options". I can't make one baby. My bezzie has 3 and one of the other mums at the party had her 3 with her. And now our other friend wants to kill her 3rd!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 22/03/2014 20:56

Oh victoria there really is no justice in the world is there. I saw a man screaming at his elder kid today in the supermarket, kid was just lying in the middle of the aisle, and I mean he was like 7 or 8 not a toddler! And a girl, yes, girl, yesterday was screaming at her toddler whilst pushing a baby whilst smoking. Angry How some people get so lucky and others don't is just beyond me, but when you do get your little baby you will love it so much and appreciate it so much, it will be the happiest little baby in the world! I can't believe your friend could consider the option of getting rid of it when she already has two children Confused
I hope you are ok and have treated yourself to some lovely wine, chocolate and a funny non baby related movie?? My DH is also away, so I am tucking into a terrys chocolate orange and watching game of thrones....anybody else watched that? Maybe we should all just get pet dragons instead......

victoria401 · 22/03/2014 21:11

Ha! ginger I'm eating chocolate and drinking wine.... But..... I'm watching a movie on Netflix of Jennifer Aniston getting preg with donor sperm in a Rom com! Bad idea? Actually it was a bad idea coz this film is BAD!!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 22/03/2014 21:20

Oh dear! Get it off! We just can't help ourselves can we, I watched One Born last night, bloody stupid idea, although there was a happy ending story of a woman trying for 5 years finally getting a baby girl. I think switch to an action movie with a hot guy in Grin
Lots of luck to you tomorrow for you appointment, hope you get plenty of answers from them, how rude of them to drag you in on a Sunday though!

victoria401 · 22/03/2014 21:44

Especially when I work at the hospital and I'm there 5 days a week!

victoria401 · 22/03/2014 21:57

I've not been watching one born but its also filmed at my hospital and some of the people on it are friends of friends etc and its just wierd!

Told my bezzie today that I cant imagine actually ever getting preg. I've given up hope, but not given up trying. My I'm in a bad way tonight, sorry....

lil1ady · 23/03/2014 00:19

Hi All, can I join you please? We have been ttc #1 for 16 months (which works out to 13 cycles for me as i'm all over the place) and are currently waiting for our referral appointment. My day 21 prog was normal and good ovarian reserve but DH's SA's show very low morphology and motility. Some days it's easier as I'm used to AF showing up now, but others I just feel really low about it all so would be good to share and support with others going through this.

m33r · 23/03/2014 06:13

Hi victoria. Really sorry you are having such a tough time. The kids' parties are hard. At the time they're great but the come down is awful... So is the part when all the children get tired and start passing out their mummies and no-one else will do. Awful... And real shame your DH was out. I hope you're feeling a bit better this morn? If not, let us know and we'll rally round.

m33r · 23/03/2014 06:18

Hi lil. Welcome aboard. I'm also on 16minths ttc no 1 and have my appt on 2nd April so you're in good company. Like you, we all go a bit up and down on this thread so there's always someone around to help you through the down days.

victoria401 · 23/03/2014 08:12

I've woken up early this morning feeling totally physically sick about my ultrasound today :-( I suffer terribly from anxiety anyway getting dizzy and bad stomach. I dont think its all about the procedure or the results either, its about having the full bladder and not being able to hold it if the appointment is delayed, and what to wear with easy access to my tummy and then my foof whilst trying to maintain my dignity, where to park at the hospital (can I park as staff or do we pay as patients?!). Argh!

Hubby is not home for a few more hours yet and its a long time til 4pm to freak out, wish it was earlier. Gonna shower as late as poss so I'm as fresh as poss. Need too occupy myself. Need to clean...

Sorry about my verbal diarrhoea! Welcome lil I'm not usually this neurotic lol! Also ttc#1 cycle 16. Its hard but at least we start getting help now :-) I look forward to reading about your journey to success :-)

onelifeonechance · 23/03/2014 08:51

Victoria, sorry to hear you've having a tough few days. Scan wise did your letter def say to have a full bladder?? Only asking because for my internal one they actively encouraged me to empty mine prior to it to make it more comfortable and to help them have a better view. I know if you're having a normal ultrasound on your stomach they need a full bladder but for internals they don't. Not sure if you're having both so don't want to confuse matters but just thought that might help you. I can honestly say it wasn't bad at all. If you've ever had a smear it is better than that, hope that helps a bit. Just try and take some deep breaths and relax (and maybe don't be mindful at that pint, think of something else! Relaxing on your favourite beach, honeymoon with your dh, drinking fizz in the bath....) Hope it all goes well x

Mama, so sorry you're not feeling well! Sad How are you today? Big hugs x

Ginger, not watched game of thrones but loving the Terry's choc orange, mmmmm Smile

Lindsay, sorry af arrived but yeay for your cycle getting longer, all good and fx for next month!

Welcome Lil, sounds like you fit right in already Smile good luck! we'll get there, some day, hopefully soon!

Hope everyone else is ok! About to have pancakes for breakfast made by my wonderful dh as a bday treat, nom nom Grin

onelifeonechance · 23/03/2014 08:55

PS Victoria, park as staff! Definitely! And don't worry too much about what you wear. I would recommend shoes that slip off easily so you haven't got to phaff taking socks/big boots off and means you can hop on the couch quicker. The person doing it will prob leave the room whilst you take your bottom half off and then you sit on the couch and there should be a paper blanket thing to cover yourself with. The worst bit is resting your legs in the stirrups as you are rather akimbo but will be covered by the blanket thing and they don't take that off, they just put the probe under it. So you're never completely exposed. really hope that helps and doesn't worry you further, just know I like to know exactly what to expect as that helps me.

victoria401 · 23/03/2014 08:55

one I'm having both. I hope they will let me empty bladder before internal one. It did say on the letter I could ask. The loos look miles from treatment room on the little map. Have to trudge through waiting room and back... How embarrassing :-(
