The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

cakebaker enjoy your tipple and exciting tv. I'm looking forward to falling asleep in front of the voice tomorrow pm.

sebs oh no. Could it be that its not fmu? how sensitive is the superdrug one? 10miu or more? Yes it may be a good idea to wait till when AF is due. I don't think you should lose hope just yet because all the symptoms are there. Hope you are able to get through the weekend.

miserywaterfall · 21/03/2014 17:55

Cake enjoy your boozy drink and tv Grin

sebs Oh nooo! Guess it's time to wait and see if AF appears! Enjoy your Cake !

Penguin13 · 21/03/2014 18:09

Sebs I don't want to get your hopes up but keeping your wee for a whole day does have an effect on hcg levels even if it's fmu so don't give up hope just yet.

broodylicious · 21/03/2014 18:14

D'ya know what cake, I'll join you with that tipple. I'm equally lightweight and haven't had alcohol since I got a bit carried away on the Christmas Eve prosecco (which is how I think I ended up pg!) I'd be a useless drunk as I only need a few glasses to get totally tanked up (Derbyshire speak, sorry!) but at least I'm a cheap date Wink

This bleeding shit is well, shit. I mc three weeks ago yday. Bled pretty solidly for the first week and intermittently for the second, stopped last Wednesday (hoorah as I was making Procter and gamble vey rich with buying endless packs of pads!) Last Friday morning had a big gush, passed a little clot but lots of blood. Nothing else during the day. Last Saturday morning, I had another gush but not as bad. Nothing since though until yesterday morning when I wiped. Put in a pad and it was like a light/medium flow period for a few hours. Then nothing all day. Hardly anything today either. What the eck is going on?!?! Is this normal?!?! I did a pg test and there was a faint line. What do you think ladies?

sebsmummy1 · 21/03/2014 18:33

Well I've pushed the boat out and had a PGTips, to hell with Redbush decaf shite, tastes awful lol.

I'm such a sad case, I was planning to keep all my POAS shenanigans to myself so my OH won't think I'm weirder than I am. But instead when he got home I threw myself at him and told him what I'd been up to and how weak I was and couldn't stop.

Luckily he thinks it's hilarious and I'm mental. I tried to tell him that there are women all over the country holding piss sticks up to the light, squinting and seeing lines that aren't there but he won't believe me. He thinks it's just me! Grin

broody I know I spotted for absolutely ages and it only stopped after I got my period. I passed some black clots at the end of AF. Had some cramping just before, and that seem to then calm everything down and I haven't spotted since.

Viperama · 21/03/2014 18:39

Omg triple just saw your post from this morning those men are so lucky I was not in that waiting area I would have kicked ass! What a bunch of thoughtless plonkers!!

So on 3rd day of first AF since mc. Day two was like the end of killbill2, thank goodness it's calmed down today!

Penguin13 · 21/03/2014 18:39

Broody definitely enjoy a drink tonight. I'm sorry I don't have much idea about how a natural mc goes but after ERPC I did have bleeding which stopped and started. I found that things like walking increased the flow. I hope you settle back into a proper cycle soon. The uncertainty and the waiting is hard to deal with.

Cakebaker35 · 21/03/2014 18:46

Cheers broody and everyone else Wine sorry I can't advise about how long the bleeding lasts but I do know others who've bled for 4 weeks or so on and off. It's shite, all this waiting around. It strikes me that everything to do with ttc/mc/pregnancy etc etc is based on bloody waiting!

viper Grin about killbill2, glad to hear things are calmer today.

sebs you can tell your oh that we on this thread are all mad as a bag of snakes too Blush

miserywaterfall · 21/03/2014 19:10

To the DH of sebs nope, it's not just your missus who's mental, we all are literally holding up sticks into the light, into the shade, tipping it this way and that and throwing it away in rage/anguish/etc Confused We're all mad here!

broody I think anything goes bleeding wise. I had the erpc so had tiny moments of spotting only, but others I have spoken to have had what you are having, so normal I guess. Fecking annoying anyway!

broodylicious · 21/03/2014 19:15

Yep totally annoying!! I just want AF to come (???? Spend all your life saying I hate her, it's only now in this situation - after seeing all that blood! - I do want her now!) so I can start over sharing my TITH details Wink and get back to ttc again!!

miserywaterfall · 21/03/2014 19:26

Love a good overshare.

I've found I have next to no interest in tith now I'm half way through the two week wait... ovulation eyes have well and truly turned off!

JonesSchool · 21/03/2014 19:34

Thank you ladies for making me so welcome and making me feel more normal.
Glad to know other people had light AF first cycle after MC, bloody Mother Nature giving you hope it could be IB.
I am a serious POAS addict, last week because it didn't show what I wanted it to I had it held under every light in the bathroom, I now know which light is the brightest, I had it placed on the toilet seat as the toilet seat is white and I was convinced this would be the best place to see a line. Crazy!

Parsley2506 · 21/03/2014 20:01

This thread is crazy busy today!

penguin I hope you found a way to mark the passing of your frankly wonderful sounding friend. Your memories keep her alive, and that is more permanent than any memorial can ever be.

sebs I wish wish wish you'd had your dearest wish confirmed today but I will quietly keep my fingers and toes crossed for you that you might yet get that BFP, your other symptoms sounded good! Your husband should meet us lot!

triple that is pretty shitty. The only defence I could possibly think of would be if any of those other women were also MCing - I know I could barely let go of MrP's hand the whole time I was at our EPU for follow up scan. Regardless, someone should have at least offered a seat and I'm sure try we're just insensitive twats.

broody and cake enjoy your Wine - I am seriously craving a glass but am 10dpo and despite the fact my pessimistic self knows AF is imminent I am clinging to that last shred of hope so trying to be good!
I could really do with a glass tho - pg team member asked me to proof read email to rest of our team today with news of her move and pg, didn't much enjoy that. I have asked her to send it while I'm in a long meeting on Monday so I can avoid all the initial excitement.

Also, going to GP on tues to find out where we stand r.e assistance now. Our BFP was natural but had been ttc for 18 months (now 2 years Sad) and I have a feeling cos it was natural we're now back at the back of the queue, so another 12 months wait. Fucking sucks, I tell you.

Carly6971 · 21/03/2014 20:31

Parsley will you let us know how you get on with your go? We were about to start ivf (if I could just loose a couple of bloody stone) when I got my bfp, after 6 years of trying and our go didn't seem very bothered about referring us back to the fertility specialist. I am willing to wait 6 months and have an old 3 month stash of clomid that I am going to try but do NOT want to wait another year. Good luck x

Viperama · 21/03/2014 21:08

penguin I'm so sorry about your friend! I'll light a candle for her tonight.

sebs sorry to hear super drug says no but it isn't over till the witch rears her warted head.

So I want to share something that I did that May have spoiled me TTC in March. Since we'd be having all this Tith I thought I'd make it fun and get some lube, I discovered after that lube can create a barrier that sperm can't get through. So annoyed with myself it's taken me a week to fess up. But I don't want any newbies repeating my foolish ways so am sharing.

DP gets back on Monday can't wait to start practising... Wink

Seasides · 21/03/2014 21:12

6 years-carly, I just feel for you into my bones. I've had ivf at the back of my mind for a while now-we've been ttc for 18 month now, bfp 15 months ago, Jesus I can't believe it's been that long. It seems like it never happened now. I cannot believe your gp hasn't been more supportive, I just think that's inexcusable. I so hope you and parsley aren't at the back of the line now.

sebs so sorry the sticks are messing you around-your nipples sound so hopeful iykwim! Can assure Mr seb my dh thinks I'm barking too, brandishing sticks under every bulb is completely normal as far as I'm concerned!

penguin, what a tragedy about your friend, she sounds wonderful. Her poor twin, that makes my heart ache.

Have a lovely night all! Have had 2 delicious cocktails and caught up with a great friend, now home for a sensibly early night.

Seasides · 21/03/2014 21:16

Ah viper, yes, it's a bugger isn't it? No one tells you these things! I bet if we were 16 and having carefree lubey tith we'd get accidentally knocked up the 1st month as well...

Parsley2506 · 22/03/2014 07:16

carly course I will chick Smile. How is your weight loss going? What's been your strategy so far?

Morning ladies!
Sounds like un-mumsnetty hugs needed all round today. sebs I'm checking in daily with bated breath to hear your Poas-ing, and still have fingers crossed for you!
broody really hope you get AF soon so you can get back to normal
jones yay another Poas addict! I'm 7dpo and desperately trying to hold off a few more days

Treated myself to a lovely full body massage yesterday, then got the babysitter round and took hubby out for a well-deserved date night, with plenty of wine! So am feeling a bit dehydrated hungover this morning!

Sal1977 · 22/03/2014 11:33

"Your nipples seem hopeful"

Pahahaha!!!

Parsley2506 · 22/03/2014 12:48

My nipples are always hopeful! Wink

OP posts:
miserywaterfall · 22/03/2014 13:02

LOL hopeful nipples, love it!

Happy Saturday all. I got a letter from GP today, apparently I am anaemic so that explains the dizziness and feeling tired ALL the time. So I am glad to at least know there genuinely is an issue and it's not all in my head, as I was wondering if it was all just down to anxiety/depression. Glad it's not. Got iron tablets to take so will see how I get on with those. Constipation ahoy by the sounds of it, great.

Glad you had a great night Gail

broodylicious · 22/03/2014 15:40

Stuck at a 3 year old's party this afternoon. Not the best of places but dd (2 on Wednesday) seems to be having a good time. Shame we've got a two hour drive back home afterwards!

In self indulgent broody news, I poas this morning to see if my hgc levels have gone down..... GrinGrinGrinGrin I got a frickin NEGATIVE!!!! Can I have a whoop whoop please?! I had a big (half the size of my palm big) blood clot that passed this morning, along with a massive gush, so I hope (???) that could be the end of my bleeding as I've only had a slight bleed this morning so probably not enough to be classed as AF. Here's hoping....

Penguin13 · 22/03/2014 16:55

WHOOP WHOOP! Broody that is great news Smile Hope your cycle settles down into a regular pattern quickly now that you've had your first negative test. I bed you never thought you'd be so glad to see a BFN.

Loving the hopeful nipples Grin

Thank you for all your kind words about my friend everyone. In the end I just spent some quiet time at home thinking of her.

Needing a massive fish slap today for allowing my hopes to rise. My blood tinged cm has gone away, temp is still rising and have been the teensiest bit light headed (but I tend towards low BP so could just be that tbh). Who's going to administer my fishy punishment?

Penguin13 · 22/03/2014 16:56

*Bet, obviously, autocorrect wtf!
