The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Really sorry you got a BFN Sebs hoping it's just too early. You still have some positive signs and I think it's time for a rousing chorus of 'you're not out till the witch shows*. I know that despite all this it's horrible every time so hugs for you.

broodylicious · 20/03/2014 07:17

Thanks girls. Yday was a bastard of a day, hoping today will be kinder. sal I like your thinking!!

So sorry for your bfn sebs xxx

sebsmummy1 · 20/03/2014 07:18

Thank you.

My nipples are stinging like mad, which was the only pregnancy symptom I had in my last short pregnancy. But I have gone from wildly positive to crushingly negative. Don't even know when to expect AF as I'm aware this second cycle could throw up a totally different LP.

Onward and upward. it's the weekend in two days Grin. Should organise something to cheer myself up.

Parsley2506 · 20/03/2014 07:36

That's the spirit sebs although I also hope it's just a bit early - how many dpo are you?
Feeling exceptionally PMSish today at 10dpo. Bah.

Metalhead · 20/03/2014 08:09

Boo for BFN sebs, but sounds like you might still be in the running.

Hope you have a better day today broody. As for that cow who sent you that message, can you just delete her from your contacts and never speak to her again?! Noone needs 'friends' like that.

Not much to report here. CD4 and bleeding has stopped again so waiting to see if this is now the end of AF or whether I'll have a repeat of yesterday where it suddenly started up again.

Triplespin · 20/03/2014 08:11

Ooh sebs joining in with the chorus. Hopefully it's just a bit too early at 9dpo.

broody what a twa*. Hope you have a pregnancy announcement free week!

Thanks office. Yes I am now also on the mucousy type of bleed rather than clotty or period like. So hopefully nearing the end.

We have decided to go for a sperm dna fragmentation test for dh which had been recommended by the fertility clinic I had gone to privately when I was panicking about not getting pregnant. Dh has a very stressful job, works inhumanly long hours and drinks a lot of coffee. Even though his regular sperm analysis was normal, this test checks something deeper. The dna fragmentation can cause multiple mc too. Test is on Tuesday and we get the results by first week of April. Fingers crossed. Hope it comes out ok as the problem can be reduced with vitamin intake but not reversed. Eek!!

Also threat of job losses is looming at work, towards the end of the year. I had delayed leaving due to TTC, but now really in a pickle, many of the good jobs outside are gone and am still hoping to fall pg this year. If I start another job, I would have to delay TTC by a year. Sigh. Choices choices.

Cakebaker35 · 20/03/2014 08:23

Hello all, wow this thread moves so fast. Trout slaps to all who need it and sorry to the newbies who've fund themselves here but you'll get lots of great support and comedy from these funny ladies Smile

So I had my erpc yesterday and while there was loads of waiting around it was all over pretty quickly and I'm not feeling too rough today. It was definitely the right choice as I'd stopped bleeding totally despite the scan showing there was basically everything still to come. Could still see the win sacs, just mad. broody I too had he shite admin error, waiting for my erpc yesterday got a text reminding me about 12 wk scan Angry I ended up telling the gynae nurse on the ward and the ward sister called them am gave them a bollocking apparently. Shame the nhs admin is so poor when the people on he ground are amazing in my experience. Glad you got an apology though Brody, well done on being composed enough to tweet.

sebs oh shite Sad I'm hoping that it may just be too early for a bfp but I'm on standby with a large box of tissues in case.... There should be an icon for that.

sal I'm glad he's got an ugly baby Grin

offce same here, haven't dtd since jan either Blush think we might be too scared to for a while.

Sorry to everyone's updates I've missed, hard to keep up but hope you all have good Thursdays. Anyone planning to poas tomorrow??

Cakebaker35 · 20/03/2014 08:24

Fund? Found. Clearly I can't type after the anaesthetic yesterday.

Cakebaker35 · 20/03/2014 08:25

Sorry for a million typos.

sebsmummy1 · 20/03/2014 09:24

Cake baker I was thinking of you earlier, so glad it went as well as can be expected. How are you feeling in yourself? Xx

sebsmummy1 · 20/03/2014 09:30

Oh Triple that sounds so shit Sad. Just when you get focused on one thing I always find other things have a way of kicking you up the arse unexpectedly.

Do they have any duty to find you something elsewhere within the company? Or when you talked about the 'good jobs outside being gone', is that what you meant? Ie first come, first served and now there is nothing suitable meaning having to find a new job somewhere else? I always find in the face of adversity change forces new energy to appear and sometimes you look back and realise it was of benefit. Not always easy to think positively when it's the last thing you feel. Hugs xx

Cakebaker35 · 20/03/2014 09:34

Thanks sebs, I'm not doing too bad, very relieved to get yesterday out of the way. Trying to rest up a bit today, thankfully have my dm here to look after dd. Now I just want to plan lots of fun things to do over the next few weeks/months. I'm no spring chicken unfortunately so will need to think about ttc sometime but for now I can't quite face that....

How are you doing? Are you going to poas again? For what it's worth, if you possibly can I think trying to hold out for a bit would be good but I know it's easier said than done says the slightly reformed poas junkie

sebsmummy1 · 20/03/2014 09:37

Parsley I had my first peak the afternoon of cd12 and my monitor picked up the tail end (I assume) in the morning of cd13. I'm now cd 22. So I either OVed on cd13 or 14 putting me at 9dpo, possibly 8.

I had cramps all yesterday but I've cramped before and it's meant nothing. I also had lots of EWCM type cm yesterday but we DTD the night before so it could be that lol. Everything has an explanation, very infuriating.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx

Cakebaker35 · 20/03/2014 09:39

Triple, argh choices indeed. I hope you get some answers from the tests and you can move forward with the info they provide. As for work, obviously don't know the details of your situation but if there is decent redundancy package on offer then that can be a positive thing...gives a chance to take stock and think about what next.

sebsmummy1 · 20/03/2014 09:43

Cake baker - really glad your mum is with you and I totally agree about doing done fun things. At least you know that cloud is no longer hanging over you as to when and where the bleeding may have started etc. I imagine that was very stressful!! I found it really helped my mental health to reconnect physically with DP after the mc was over. It felt very healing and positive.

The one positive about having short cycles is you really don't have to wait very long to find out your not pregnant. My period is due in three days, so I could try and piss on as many sticks as I have and it still wouldn't stop AF from showing her face pretty much immediately.

Big hugs xx

sebsmummy1 · 20/03/2014 09:44

'you're' even!

MissHobart · 20/03/2014 09:54

Parsley - all is well, just in waiting mode, nothing to report! spending my time lurking all over MN! Grin

Penguin13 · 20/03/2014 10:22

Glad your ERPC went as well as could be hoped and that you have your mum there for support. I totally know what you mean about staff on the ground vs admin. I was so impressed with the care I received throughout the mc process that I sent a thank you card to the EPAU staff. I wanted them to know that the things like every single person I came into contact with acknowledging our loss, and the ultrasound technician getting our photo token refund for us so we didn't have to go to the desk and explain why, really did make a difference.

Triple sorry that you have the threat of redundancy hanging over you on top of everything else you've been through. That's a really tough decision. Hope your additional tests provide you with some answers on the ttc front.

Cakebaker35 · 20/03/2014 11:03

Sending a card is a lovely idea Penguin, think I might do the same. Lovely staff made an unhappy experience just that bit easier.

Sorry to be all me me me, but i have a quick question for those of you who've had an erpc. Did you have any follow up to check for retained materials? Do I need to poas at some point? I left so late last night I just wanted to get home so didn't ask and nothing was mentioned...

Littlelady33 · 20/03/2014 11:09

Cake glad to hear it all went well and you're feeling ok. I wasn't offered any follow up appt and think this is usually not done. Unless you see any worrying signs there shouldn't be any need to go back. So if the bleeding is very heavy (worse than a heavy period - hard to quantify but as I understand, you'd know about it), if it goes on for more than a couple of weeks, if there's any discharge with a worrying smell - then you should probably call in case of a problem / infection.

TeaRex · 20/03/2014 11:39

cake think heavy bleeding = changing pads every hour but I also had no follow up, that seems to be normal. I poas 2 weeks after my erpc and got a neg, but sometimes it can take longer so try not to get upset if it takes a bit longer (easier said than done I know) glad op went well for you though and I hope your recover is quick and painless.

Sorry for the shitty times triple :( got redundancy hanging over my head too but we've decided to just go for it, I just figure whatever the situation a baby would be a blessing does help I only get satutory may leave anyhow so theres no extra money I have to take into account. Do you get an enhanced package?

I've got my fx for you too sebs

TeaRex · 20/03/2014 11:40

Sorry that should say statutory maternity pay :/ not sure what's going on with my typing lol

Penguin13 · 20/03/2014 11:44

Yes no follow up appointment here either Cake. Basically what little said. I did call the EPAU when I had some large fleshy clots in my first full cycle following ERPC and they were really helpful and happy to assist but you shouldn't need to go in.

Cakebaker35 · 20/03/2014 12:46

Thank you all for the advice x

sebsmummy1 · 20/03/2014 13:03

Question please? Did any of you find you cramped more after mc?

This is my second day of cramping and it hurts!! I know I've had it before on unsuccessful cycles but it was more on and off and I never cramp before AF anymore (if you do it's a good sign apparently). Just wondered if it's a 'hormones regulating' sign and which hormone I should blame for it.
