The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Morning all! Hope you have a good first day back at work Gail, and well done on getting lots of TITH this weekend!

Viper I hope the witch stays away today. My AF kind of stopped yesterday afternoon and I was getting concerned that maybe it wasn't the real thing after all, but then things ramped up overnight and I'm now definitely feeling it... bleurgh.

Holly I also used to get AF-style pain for 1-2 days around ovulation pre-mc, it is quite common I believe. Mine sometimes came after ov though, so I don't think it's a reliable indicator to use for pinpointing your fertile window.

sebs like you I had lots of creamy cm the month I got my BFP, so maybe it is a good sign? How many dpo are you?

It's my DH's birthday today, but as it is a Monday and we're both working the real celebration isn't until Friday next week, when we'll be going out for a nice dinner. I made some yummy cake though which we shall be tucking into later! Smile

sebsmummy1 · 17/03/2014 09:22

Metal I am only about 5/6 dpo. That's too early isn't it?

Gail I can totally imagine how depressing it must be to have to slot back into your pre-preg duties as though nothing had ever happened Sad. I imagine no-one mentions it either as people are scared to cause upset, so I can imagine the whole thing must feel totally surreal.

Metalhead · 17/03/2014 09:29

Hmm, I don't know sebs, I think I had the cm from quite early on, though I might be misremembering. Probably best not to get your hopes up too much... but fx for you!

sebsmummy1 · 17/03/2014 09:38

It's cool. I think it has something to do with oestrogen being high so it probably is just showing that my hormones are out of whack. I bet you my LP has gone back to being stupidly short and I'll get AF again in a few days.

Seasides · 17/03/2014 10:18

Can't explain why my phone decided to re-submit my embarrassed post! Thanks for the reassurance all, it's in the post this morning.

Don't want to get your hopes up either sebs, but your body would know something was going on by 5/6 dpo surely? I wouldn't think that's too early for symptoms. Don't have any experience of that myself, but by 6dpo my brain's in overdrive symptom spotting.

Well done for TITH weekend Gail, happy sciencing today.

Sorry the witch got you viper - hope you're feeling more cheerful now.

CD7 and nothing doing at casa del seasides, just glad we don't have to have TITH yet as am SO stiff from starting to hack the garden back over the weekend! I would truly be in plank mode if we did.

Otters, are you out there? Hope you're ok and just busy wedding planning.

sebsmummy1 · 17/03/2014 10:26

Seasides implantation happens between 6 and 12 dpo usually. So unfortunately I don't think my body would be registering anything at this point as much as if like to kid myself different.

I did a search doh of course I did!!!! and actually it is more of a sign of good progesterone strength which sounds like I may have had a strong ovulation hence the peak sticks which I couldn't get before. Signs aren't bad BUT they are not any signs of pregnancy argh

OttersPocket · 17/03/2014 11:27

Hello posifrickentive buddies Grin

Life has been a bit hectic recently (major renovations going on in the house) and I've tried ha ha to detach a bit from TTC stuff but I've been lurking and reading Smile

Triple I'm so sorry about your mc, I hope you're doing as okay as you can be love Flowers

Seasides you dafty. Totally the sort of thing I'd do, and I probably wouldn't have admitted I actually received it!

No BFP's on Friday - c'mon everyone, we need some more soon.

My exciting ttc news is that I had LOTS of ewcm this month! I caved and bought the cm promoting pills from Amazon and they have totally worked. I am even more skint chuffed Grin

Right, so some advice please. Yesterday I expected a + opk (I always get one 7 days after last Clomid pill). So I did digi opks throughout the day and nothing. Nada. Until 10pm when I finally got a smiley face. I tested again this morning at 6am and it was negative again. Is this normal? Seems like a very short surge. Anyhoo, it corresponds with the ewcm so I should be oving now. Unfortunately DP couldn't 'finish' this mornings shagging. Slap me with a fish and tell me that a shag yesterday afternoon and one this evening will be enough. I pinned my hopes on this morning's session I know I know.

Shall I tell you all about the friend who announced her pregnancy at the weekend? She got upduffed TWO friggin' weeks after taking out her mirena. WTAF?!

miserywaterfall · 17/03/2014 11:30

Hi all, hope everyone's well.

Having a shit time of it currently and in dire need of a slap! On the plus side, I have been having a few twinges in my side, like I had in early stages of last pregnancy and the dpo days would match up to when I think I ovulated...so. We'll see. On the negative side, it could be a UTI which I also had at the beginning of last pregnancy and I am just getting my hopes up prematurely... as always

Anyway, I'm off to catch up on all the posts I have missed over the weekend!

Littlelady33 · 17/03/2014 11:34

Otters that's great about the ewcm and don't worry about this morning - every other day should be enough to catch that egg, the month I got pregnant we definitely missed the peak day, but had plenty of TITH either side of it.

Seasides · 17/03/2014 11:46

otters - yday afternoon would have been ideal, you've nailed it (literally). What are those pills you speak of so I can also bankrupt myself? I'm not great in the ewcm department either.

Sorry you're not top of the morning misery - hopeful twinges though! Fish slap to you as just think, if you are pg, you'll have felt sad for nothing.

miserywaterfall · 17/03/2014 11:51

Thanks Seasides much needed slap indeed! I'm trying the 'you have so much to be grateful for' method today and it is working a bit!

Otters I think you should be fine, just make sure to get some TITH time later to ease your mind a bit Grin

OttersPocket · 17/03/2014 12:05

FX for you misery, keep that chin up!

Thanks for the reassurance folks, poor DP, he was so tired this morning and I jumped on the poor love.

Right, more snake oil helpful vitamins for increased cm here I bought them because I was desperate aware that Clomid has dried things up for me. I was highly skeptical they would work but the really have. I've taken 3 a day religiously for the past two weeks since CD1. I think I'll stop taking them now I've ov'ed and start them again next cycle when if AF shows up. I don't promise they will work though!

Penguin13 · 17/03/2014 15:35

Nice to see you Otters. Sounds like your timing was pretty bang on to me and good news that your snake oil pills have had the desired effect.

Misery how many dpo are you? Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Seasides · 17/03/2014 16:07

I need to fish slap myself too misery; feeling all blue and wistful again. Time for a Brew and no more booze for a while, even a glass or two makes me tired, and being tired makes me Sad.

Might go all American chick-flick and write a gratitude journal for a few days, see if it helps.

If I've been using Conceive +, do you reckon I should get the expensive pills too, or save my money?

Cakebaker35 · 17/03/2014 16:49

Fish slaps, un-mn hugs and Cake for anyone who needs it. Hope you're all hanging in there.

So I had my follow up scan today to confirm the mmc, and yep my body is still fricking trying to hold onto the two little sacs in there hence why bleeding has been pretty light this week. What a grim place the emergency gynae clinic was, lovely staff but everyone in there for sad reasons obviously. Anyway after discussions with the doc I've opted for the erpc route. As my daft old body still isn't doing this thing naturally 5 weeks after the actual mc happened, I can't face more weeks of waiting and worrying so this seemed the best route for me. We did discuss medical management but that sounded bloody horrible too. I'd rather they just knocked me out and got on with it. Obviously nervous about having a general anaesthetic but other than that just want it over with. Hope it all works out ok.

Hope the ttc activities on this thread soon give us some lovely bfps, get to it ladies and good luck Smile

Metalhead · 17/03/2014 17:18

Sorry you've had such a shit day Cakebaker. I hope you don't have to wait too long for your erpc?

When I was getting ready for mine, the anaesthetist said "you will shortly feel like you've had a few gins", and I really did! Grin It's not as scary as you think though obviously I was a bit nervous too even though I'd had a couple of GAs before. Just try and stay calm and it will all be over before you know it.

Friendly fish slaps to Seasides and misery, hope you're feeling a bit perkier again soon.

My first post-mc AF has been a real bitch today, the bleeding's not too bad but the cramps are certainly up there with the best! Have had to resort to painkillers and hot water bottle, so I'm glad we're not actually doing anything for DH's birthday now.

HollyBen · 17/03/2014 17:27

Sorry to hear that cake Having had 2 erpcs I can say it's not so bad (well circumstances are awful but actually procedure). I can understand the nervousness but you will go to slepp and when you come round it will be over. I felt quite groggy after but some water, a sandwich and cuppa and I was ready to go. I was really tired after too. Do you know when? Take care of yourself x

Triplespin · 17/03/2014 17:45

Hi everyone

cake really sorry to hear what your are going through. It makes sense to go for the erpc if your body is not doing it naturally. I am sure visiting EPU repeatedly is not fun either.

How is everyone else doing? These cm pills sound interesting? I have ordered myself some concoctions as well: vitamin d spray, folic acid, calcium and coq10 which I hear improves eggs quality. I am thinking we caught bad eggs in both mcs. Also having some protein snacks and protein drink every other day. Again I have heard protein helps egg quality!

I also had a pregnancy announcement today from a friend who knows of my 2 mcs. Obviously chuffed for her but jealous too. Some people find it so easy, I must admit though that I found it very easy first time around myself.

Aww hollyben sorry that you are still waiting for a positive opk. Hope it's not too long to go. Are you using the digi or regular? Sometimes the lines never get so dark.

How soon after my bleeding starts should I start to watch out for ov signs? A week? Btw I passed the sac on Friday evening. Still bleeding but hoping it should stop towards the end of the week. Go back on Friday to EPU to confirm mc is complete and then I start this project again yay!!

sundance hope you are keeping well?

CakesALot · 17/03/2014 18:19

Really sorry your going through that cake. It does sound like the right decision though and it really is ok. It was my first GA and it was a breeze. The gin comment sounds just right!!

Well I'm almost certain I ovulated beginning of last week. All the signs were there. We probably only had one well timer shag but of course, I'm symptom spotting, despite knowing it's completely ridiculous and I'm setting myself up for a fall!! Stupid brain!! Confused

CakesALot · 17/03/2014 18:21

Oh and triple, my ov signs came almost exactly 3 weeks after my ERPC. But I guess it's different for everyone so I'd keep my ovulation eyes open!!

officelady · 17/03/2014 18:54

Is there room for one more on this thread? Despite declaring a week ago that I would never have sex again, I find myself longing to be pregnant Confused
I found out I had a mmc on 6th March, I should have been 10+3 but sac was nearly empty, looks like it all went wrong at 6 weeks. I also previously mc naturally at about 5+5 about a year ago. Neither pregnancy was planned, but both were very much welcomed after the initial shock wore off.
Anyway, I've got my follow-up scan at EPU tomorrow, I have been bleeding for about 5 days and pretty sure I passed the sac at the weekend so am hoping to get the all clear. It seems really disloyal to want this pregnancy to be over but I have an almost overwhelming urge to get procreating again.
Clearly this would be insanity because I'm 42 and old enough to know better. But is it too much to ask for one more roll of the dice? Third time lucky and all that...

Penguin13 · 17/03/2014 18:59

Baker sorry to hear your body us not getting on with things. My ERPC was very straightforward and GA left me feeling tired but that's all. Hope you don't have to wait too long for your appointment.

Triplespin · 17/03/2014 19:57

Welcome officelady. Sorry that you find yourself here. I am in a similar situation as you, think I passed the sac over the weekend and now ready to start again!

cakesalot thanks. Yes that probably makes sense as in my last mc AF arrived 5 weeks later, so probably ovulation would be hopefully in 3 weeks times. I had better warn dh !!
And cakesalot one time is enough too! That was our count this last pg!

Carly6971 · 17/03/2014 21:06

baker sounds like your making the right decision, I hope you get your appointment through quickly :) x

Welcome officelady sorry you have to join us! but as shit as the circumstances are this group is a god send when it comes to support :) x

As for me...still no ov or af :( I feel like I am going mad...5 weeks now is she ever going to come?! Never wanted my period so much!!

Penguin13 · 17/03/2014 21:09

Welcome Officelady. I'm sorry for your losses. You'll find lots of support here from a brilliant bunch of ladies. Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hope you get the all clear to try again.
