The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thanks ladies.

Saw my dear friends 2 day old dd last night. She slept in my arms the whole time. Dp let slip he's the only one cleaning the cat tray for ages so now they think I'm upduffed I'm sure. Oh if only they knew of my small shrivelled heart - lol

Welcome cakebaker so sorry for your loss, hope you find comfort here. It's a great gang of ladies.

tannyLoo · 12/03/2014 20:36

Well I licked the spoon after making fairy cakes! Get me and my not ttc ways!

Fairy lovely to hear you're doing well!

Cake sorry you're here, but we have wide shoulders to cry on.

Viper it's over till the witch shows her red face. Like this Angry

Broody totally with you on the Blush front. Fuck knows how much I weigh but there's not much room in my jeans at the mo... I'll have to stop making fairy cakes for a start.

tannyLoo · 12/03/2014 20:37

Oh and I'm so old I think my friends are more likely to be having grandchildren than babies!

HollyBen · 12/03/2014 21:35

tanny some of my friends do have grandchildren! In fact a girl I went to school with has 3 - one daughter has had 2 boys and the other had 1 tooShock

triple I hope if this is thing starting naturally it is over quickly and with as little trauma as possible x

I had my first acupuncture today. Some interesting chat around eating protein with each meal and 2 protein snacks to improve egg production and supplements cause I is ancient.. She put a pin in the middle of my forehead. When I got back to work I went to the loo (to poa opk) and realised there was a spot of bloodcon my forehead. DH is sceptical but supportive of me trying to feel like I am doing something.

Misspositivity · 12/03/2014 22:34

Hi guys. Still lurking just mad busy at work.

triple so sorry and hope your doing ok.
sundance excellent news natural to worry. The joy of pregnancy was replaced with worry the day we lost our beans. Take each day as it comes.

cake welcome and I am so sorry for your loss. For what it's worth I went for medically managed on advice of my consultant who said that is what she would chose. I was 10 weeks measuring 9 approx. it was tough and I passed the baby at home something I will never forget but it was a process and I felt it helped me move on emotionally. Consultant also said cycle usually returns to normal quicker with medical managment (uncomplicated) basically no right decision. I have said if it happened again I will chose a Erpc.

I have missed so much over the last couple of weeks. Hope everyone doing well. Anyone else testing 21st Mar

Cakebaker35 · 12/03/2014 22:51

Thank you all so much, I've only joined in today but you've all been a great support.

Tanny and Holly, you're making me chuckle about being old too - so I'm curious now, how old are we talking if you don't mind telling? I'm 37, will turn 38 in a few months, and feel like the old dear amongst my mum mates who are all late twenties/early thirties.

tannyLoo · 12/03/2014 22:54

You youngster you! I'll be 42 in May and at the moment feel every day of it!

Viperama · 12/03/2014 23:13

I'm 38 and know how you feel cakes!

tannyLoo · 12/03/2014 23:35

If it's any consolation, I had my DS2 when I was 39. No complications, a normal delivery in the local midwife led birth centre, and sailed through the whole thing.

Penguin13 · 13/03/2014 06:26

Talking of age.....it's my birthday today :-) Too much to ask for a late birthday present of a BFP in about 2 weeks? Grin 34 today.

TeaRex · 13/03/2014 06:47

penguin happy birthday :) :)

cake I had an eprc too, 12 week scan mmc baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks. You've had really horrible news so give yourself a few days to think it over and you'll get a feel for what's right for you. There's no wrong/right answer and it is a horrible choice but I found that taking a few day to make my choice, getting the appt, having the procedure were all steps toward me being able to heal so you take as much or as little time as you need and ask any questions you want x

triple really hope things go as well as they can.

sebsmummy1 · 13/03/2014 07:07

Happy birthday Penguin my 2ww buddy Grin. Hope you have a lovely day xxx

Well I'm officially in my 2ww now. Either 1 or 2 dpo. Thought of give some stats for how life went for me after my mc as I spent ages trying to work out when I might ovulate afterwards.

Miscarried naturally on Wednesday 5th February (day of the heaviest bleeding-most probably the day the placenta detached)
First period 27th February ( was longer than usual as had done spotting before and after. Flow was pretty much the same)
Ovulated 12th March (cd14) a couple of days later than is normal for me. Will be interesting to see if my LP stays the same assuming AF appears.

I don't believe I ovulated my first cycle as I was still getting a faint positive right up until AF disappeared. I think the ladies that ovulate soon after mc are the ones who clear their body of the pregnancy hormone quickly whether it be from a very quick, sudden spontaneous mc or a D&C. Mine was very very slow.

Penguin13 · 13/03/2014 07:39

Viper sorry you didn't get the result you wanted yesterday. As you and others have said, almost certainly too early. I second your beautiful wish. No prizes for guessing what I'll be wishing for when I blow out the candles today.

I am feeling like a very lucky penguin right now as H got me some gorgeous and sexy agent provocateur lingerie which should definitely get mission ttc going with a bang. Definitely softened the blow of him having to be out of the country for work today.

I'm not sure if I'm in the tww or not. Positive opk on sun and textbook ewcm bows to applause but no temp rise as yet. It's only my second cycle but last cycle I didn't temp after getting a position opk as I didn't want to wake the whole house while on hol with my extra beepy thermometer. I guess I could be a slow riser but should I just keep shagging every other day in case?

Penguin13 · 13/03/2014 07:40

*I should say it's only my second cycle of temping.

Triplespin · 13/03/2014 07:51

Happy birthday penguin. Actually I got my bfp two weeks after my 35th. Fx for you !!

Thanks everyone. Bleeding so far is light but thick. Not much cramping either so seems to be going slower than last time. I will visit EPU on Monday if nothing else changes.

Cakebaker35 · 13/03/2014 07:57

Happy birthday penguin Cake

Metalhead · 13/03/2014 08:05

Happy birthday Penguin, hope you have a lovely day and get thoroughly spoilt!

Littlelady33 · 13/03/2014 08:27

Happy birthday penguin! Triple hope that the next few days remain pain free and at least by Monday morning at the EPU you should have some answers. On the age question, a girl I was at school with has managed to become a grandmother at the age of 34 which is impressive (for want of a better word) and says plenty about our strict Catholic education.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 13/03/2014 08:43

Happy Birthday Penguin Cake Hope you have a lovely day. AP undies... very nice! Good Mr Penguin!! And hope you get your birthday wish!

Bloody hell Little... grandmother at 34!! Hard to imagine how that could happen!!

I think I'm potentially 6dpo. But my temp dipped yesterday and is still low today. Bit worried as to why its dipped so early. Prob too early for implantation. Unless (like I suspect) I didn't ovulate at all. Only time will tell I guess.

CakesALot · 13/03/2014 08:46

Happy birthday penguin! Hope you have a lovely day Smile

I'm feeling thoroughly mopey and miserable this morning. I've gone from pining to get pregnant again to pining for the pregnancy I lost. Going backwards! I need a fish slap!

Carly6971 · 13/03/2014 13:23

Happy birthday penguin hope your having a lovely day :)

cakes I know what you mean about going from desperate to get pregnant to pining for your lost pregnancy :( this is how I felt mon, tue, wed this week...I felt like I was right back at square one, brought on by my best friend having her baby. However today I am feeling a lot more human and haven't cried once! I guess these times are going to happen, but as we know time is a great healer and eventually we come out the other side of the dark days. I don't know what to say other than we are all here to vent at and there is nothing wrong with feeling sad and having a good cry, it's best to get it out. I hope tomorrow is a happier day for you :) x

Littlelady33 · 13/03/2014 13:38

Cakes I completely understand - some days I actually feel quite normal again then others I'm back where I started (or it seems worse) - and usually triggered by yet more baby photos on FB. Not knowing personally anyone who has had an MC I wasn't too sure if it was normal to be quite so up and down, but have found a lot of support and encouragement here. There will still be some crappy days but they won't all feel like this x

HollyBen · 13/03/2014 14:05

Happy Birthday penguin I am well jel of the AP undies. I think DH would faint at the cost. Having said that I WILL (if DH wants any tith in his lefetime) be having an eternity ring for my birthday and I gave been working on setting the cost expectation.

To answer the earlier question I am 39 and will be falling of the fertility cliff that us the big 40 in July. I think the number of school friend grandmothers I know says a lot about where I was brought up and why I left when I was 18

miserywaterfall · 13/03/2014 14:05

Happy birthday Penguin Cake

CakesALot · 13/03/2014 14:27

Thanks for the kind words, Carly and Little. Nice to know I'm not alone on the bad days! I'm usually such a positive person, but this has defeated even my positive attitude! We will all get there, it's a long road, but we can come here and rant along the way! Grin
