The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Parsley2506 · 04/03/2014 21:06

broody mine was a MMC but at the time the MC finally occurred I thought back to the week the bean actually died (some 5 weeks before the actual MC) and remembered having really painful cramps but only when I was sleeping, and being extremely hot a couple of nights. Not sure what that was all about as my body obviously decided not to do anything about it for over a month.

Stupid fucking reproductive system.

picklebum2011 · 04/03/2014 21:20

Thanks for responses. It is all so bloody hard. My three were mmc and I didn't have signs. All I can think about is the test said yes but it could have gone already and I will not know.

OttersPocket · 04/03/2014 21:48

Mine was also a mmc. I had my early scan at 7 weeks and all was well, hb found etc. The day after the scan I had to fly to the US for a conference. During the flight I started to feel horrid cold/flu like symptoms which lasted a few days including feeling very hot and sweaty. I flew home a week later feeling absolutely fine. A further early scan two weeks later showed the bean had died about a day after the initial 7 week scan, so bang on when I felt really ill. I have wondered whether my 'flu' was my body mc'ing but I guess I'll never know. I am very grateful that I didn't naturally mc whilst in the US with work that week though. Very small mercies and all that Sad. I try not to think about the connections I could make with how my body felt at the time, it'll drive me horribly crazy should I ever get a bfp again.

OttersPocket · 04/03/2014 21:50

Flowers Pickle It's shit and so difficult. Be kind to yourself.

picklebum2011 · 04/03/2014 22:22

Thank you otters. With my last mmc I had two early scans at 5\6 weeks and 7.3 heart beat seen, no probs. At about 9.6 weeks I was really sick all day, thought a sickness bug but two days later scan showed baby had recently gone. Who knows maybe our bodies were telling us something.
Wishing everyone bfp this month.

Parsley2506 · 04/03/2014 22:34

Without wanting to sound melodramatic, I don't think after a MC that any of us will truly feel reassured about any future BFPs until we've got the squirming baby in our arms. Sucks eh?

carly sorry to have missed your post, welcome to the thread and so so sorry for your loss. 6 years is a long time, have you been having any investigations/treatment?

OP posts:
Sundance2007 · 04/03/2014 23:29

It was negative ladies, just thought you'd want to know. sigh of relief so be wary if evap lines.

So sorry for your loss carly, 6 years! Good grief. Are you trying for #1?

Carly6971 · 05/03/2014 03:37

Yes we are trying for number 1 :( I have pcos. Our consultant was useless in my opinion, dished out clomid like sweets but apart from that not much else really. Infact the doctor at the hospital when I had my mc was shocked that I didn't know I had a tilted uterus as it was also something that should have been easily spotted during pcos investigations! (Hoping that doesn't add to our problems and am just praying what they say is true and we may not take as long this time round :) anyway at least you can all reassure yourselves that you next babies will prob be at school whilst I am still plugging away lol ;) x

broodylicious · 05/03/2014 06:49

Hi carly [waves] Smile pleased you've made it here and found us other September grads. They're much nicer in here...and actually very funny which makes our predicaments a little less painful for the time we are in the world of mn if nowhere else Smile xxx

My sister has a tilting and disintegrating uterus - doc thought maybe reaction from taking the pill for too long but no scientific proof of his suspicions. She had no problems carrying full term when she was upduffed, was just monitored a little more closely and labour was ok.

sebsmummy1 · 05/03/2014 08:32

Hi Carly
How are you doing? Glad you are here xxx

Well I'm cd7 today and my clearblue monitor has shifted me to high. So the shagging commences tonight Grin

deuscat · 05/03/2014 08:42

Enjoy your tith today sebs Wink

Carly so sorry for your loss. But welcome to the thread and I hope you will find it as supportive as I have.

CD31 here. AF expected any day now. No symptoms of anything significant going on. I feel so nervous but I'm going mad waiting and sitting on my hands patiently waiting till Friday to POAS.

Anyone else gearing up to poas with me on Friday?

noitsachicken · 05/03/2014 08:49

Hi Carly I also migrated here from the Sept thread.

Good luck Seb!

I am feeling much better after a yucky day yesterday. Just waiting for this odd second bleeding to stop so we can get back on with it!

Metalhead · 05/03/2014 08:51

Hi and welcome carly, another previous Sep AN resident here. So sorry to hear about your loss, I hope you'll get some of this mystical increased fertility after mc and get another BFP soon!

With my mmc I had an early scan at what should have been almost 8 weeks, saw heartbeat but baby measured only 6+2. Midwives and sonographer were all really dismissive of my concerns that something wasn't right, just kept banging on about how dates could be out by week even though I was sure of the date I conceived. So I had to pay for another private scan two weeks later only to have it confirmed that baby had died.

I didn't really have any signs that anything was wrong, apart from my symptoms easing off a bit after the first scan and some mild cramping, but I'd had that all through early pg.

sebs happy shagging tonight! And good luck for Friday deus, hope the witch stays away!

Seasides · 05/03/2014 08:55

Next Friday for me deus - 6dpo here, and surprisingly sane so far except for regular nipple tweaking being extra busy is helping. Will have to request pre-Friday poas pass though, as got dinner out on Tue and Wed next week, so want to know if I can have Wine. LP usually 13 days, so 12dpo should be fine.

Six years carly! I feel sorry for you down to my bones, how are you still upright? Surely you could head straight to the top of the IVF queue? Your consultant sounds mega-crap.

noitsachicken · 05/03/2014 08:56

Hi Carly I am a graduate from the Sept thread as well.

Good luck Seb!

I am feeling much better after a yucky day yesterday. Just waiting for this second bleeding to stop so we can get back on with it!

Off to the aquarium with DS this morning, what is everyone else up to?

sebsmummy1 · 05/03/2014 09:01

My period quit a few days ago but I am still get dark brown discharge, mucusy in consistency. I wonder if this means this cycle is a no go? Obviously I didn't get this when things were more normal hormone wise, directly my period left all cm was blood free.

deuscat · 05/03/2014 09:04

Ooh I love aquariams! Enjoy!

I'm just sitting at my desk prodding my boobs. This morning I was certain they felt bigger and now they feel a bit sore. I don't usually get sore boobs prior to AF but I did in my wtf cycle and also had it when I was pregnant prior to mc so I must be upduffed it could mean anything.

Seasides · 05/03/2014 09:44

I've got a feeling about you this month deus...

Just scrabbling to get my feature research done - I've got so many to write this month, I'm not sure how it's going to happen, but it has in the past so I guess it will this time.

Had so much child time recently! Visited a city farm cafe with friend's 2 month old yday, she's very cute. But our friends that we stayed the weekend with showed us once again just HOW full on it is to have kids. It's helpful! Makes me actually appreciate this pre-kid time much more.

Parsley2506 · 05/03/2014 09:55

deus oooh, myabe!! But seriously, we all need to rein in the public boob poking. I had dinner with a friend last night who had a MC around the same time as me and we were giggling like loons in the middle of the restaurant about copping a feel in inappropriate places.

carly just to echo what seasides said. Surely you qualify for assisted conception after that length of time? I'm 23 months ttc #1 Sad and that has been long enough to deal with!

sebs my CBFM has been saying high since CD7 too. I don't expect to ov till CD17.....

Waiting at home for the gas man and an appliance delivery person today. If i put my best negligee on it'd be like some cheesy 70s porno (minus the porn obv.)

Oooh are you a journo, seasides? For what mags? X

sebsmummy1 · 05/03/2014 10:01

Thanks parsley. I do tend to ov early but I know it's all change after mc. I just want the brown discharge to fuck the fuck off.

Carly6971 · 05/03/2014 10:04

Hi metal, and chicken, I did think you sounded familiar :) hope ur both doing ok :)

Sebs...I am still desperately awaiting to start using my fertility monitor! Never thought I would utter these words but I want af!

Seasides, I am barely standing. 99% of the time! but gotta just plaster on that smile and carry on eh? I just can't believe life can be so cruel buy hey ho can't change any of it :/

As for ivf I don't qualify due to a high bmi so since mc I have joined the gym and totally changed my diet (7lbs down so far) and am trying to use it as a positive thing that gives me the motivation I need to make changes...although still pisses me off as way fatter ppl than me get pregnant every day! Buy again..hey ho lol xx

sebsmummy1 · 05/03/2014 10:16

Carly I restarted SW two days ago and already feel so much better!!! Lots of vegetables and I've stepped away from the bread and butter whole pot I need to sort the exercise out though. Congrats for the half stone off, brilliant!! Grin

Parsley2506 · 05/03/2014 10:29

carly it sounds like you've got the right attitude to it all and you're obviously a tough cookie enduring such a long wait. I really hope you have a very short wait for your sticky BFP. In the meantime, we will keep you entertained with our nonsense.

sebs I used to ov around CD12/13. I'm not sure if my new 'improved' cycle is a result of the MC, the pregnacare I now take or the agnus castus, or all three!
