The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

sal just a quiet Saturday night then? Wink

otters fuck the witch! 8 is my favourite number so I hope it proves lucky for you. When the science doesn't work, resort to woo....

seasides I hope your carefulness on the slopes pays off with a BFP! Never been skiing on real snow, my secondary school had a ski slope(no I am not poshy mcposherson, they rented the land to a ski school to make money!). Will never forget ski call in year 10, sliding down the slope backwards with my arse to the sky in front of a crowd of year 7s.

holly sounds good! After a month of frenetic gym classes, swimming etc. I totally dropped the ball in Feb. Back to aqua aerobics on Weds!

English is reflexology feet stuff? I am scared of feet.

metal I got the jelly stuff too. must be par for the course as so many of us had it!

chicken welcome aboard the good ship Posifrickentivity! Sorry for your losses, hopefully you'll be off this thread quickly.

Nearly lost it in my work quarterly review today, but just about held on. Silly boss (who knows about mc) asked "so how's this quarter been?". Well, my last review was 3 days before the world crashed down around my ears, so just dandy thanks! Tsk!

Tell me about it Parsley - my first day back after my mc, my boss, who knew everything, spent the whole morning complaining how ill he'd been with a cold whilst I'd been off and how much he'd struggled. I couldn't even respond to that! He did say, 'of course, it's nothing compared to what you've been through'. We'll if you know that, pipe down and stop complaining about a runny nose!

picklebum2011 · 03/03/2014 20:03

Hi is it still okay to be here. I did another test. A digital clear blue that said 2-3 weeks, happy but still very nervous. From my previous three mmc I know that a pregnancy does not necessarily mean a baby.Trying to be positive when you have had such awful experiences is so hard.
It is difficult to know what to do now, irrational fear of booking in with midwife only to tempt fate. Also don't know what to do about scans.had early scans before which have gone OK only to not be the next time. I don't get paid if I have time off as only on a maternity contract. The plan is to wait till 4th April as I will have the Easter holidays off to fall apart if bad news.
Sorry for long post and feel free to say bugger off if I shouldn't be here anymore.

picklebum2011 · 03/03/2014 20:04

PS is triple OK?

Parsley2506 · 03/03/2014 20:08

Pickle, stay as long as you want! I can only image how apprehensive you must feel about it all but hopefully this one is your take home one. Good that it's saying 2-3, your hcg is going the right way! Maybe see if you can get a reassurance scan in a few weeks?

Haven't heard from triple in a day or two, I also hope all is Ok.

You're freaking me right out doppelgänger Parsley, 8 has ALWAYS been my favourite number since I was a very little girl, and DP has just said the same thing to me!

Course you can stay here Pickle, fx you can fully graduate soon though lovely.

Your wedding sounds lovely misery, DP and I are also planning something smallish and 'homemade' Smile

I'm watching Eastenders just now , the Cindy prego storyline is making me Envy, I need to get a bloody grip!

Where are you triple? How everything is okay...

TeaRex · 03/03/2014 20:28

sal glad I didn't read that post at work, would have drawn some very odd looks with my ladylike snorting Grin
seasides everyday of my holiday I had a gin and tonic at 11am, and I wanted one from 10am figured fuck it, I'm on holiday. Not a big drinker now but back in my yoof I had a few spectacular lows, one being throwing up all over myself on a bus. I'd been drinking snakebite black. I was wearing a beige coloured coat. Hello, I'm about to turn 33 and shit like this makes me crack up :) I promise I'm not a drunk nutter though! Lol

misery glad you enjoyed your day :) lots of fun honeymoon tith for you hopefully x

broodylicious · 03/03/2014 21:19

All this talk of boozing and wonderfully shameful behaviour makes me want to pour myself a nice big fat glass of wine....Wine This'll do... For now ;)

I didn't add my stats the other day: broody, 35, ttc #2, mc feb 27 at 12 weeks.

Dd is nearly 2 and just wonderful, apart from still not sleeping through (whole new thread, ladies!) Work for myself from home, so no issue at the mo if a blub is required or fancy a duvet day/watching loose women at lunch. I can also do the dusting or washing if I want to avoid doing what I should be... All the perks ;)

deuscat · 03/03/2014 21:50

So sorry to see even more newbies here, but hopefully you'll get a lot from this wonderfully supportive, and at times frankly hilarious, thread.

Sal you nutter! Sounds like you had a fab weekend.

Misery congrats in your big day, it sounds as though it was wonderful.

Pickle fingers crossed this is your sticky one.

Otters sorry AF has arrived. I'm also expecting her to pay me a visit any day now. Had a day of light cramping on and off which is possibly implantation probably imminent AF.

Congratulations misery your big day sounds like it was lovely and intimate Smile

Still no joy on the ovu tests for me, so I did a PT and happy to say it was negatory. So just bloody ovulate already!! Lol. I'm have no patience at the best of times. BF and I have decided we're going to have lots of practice every other day in hopes the wtf cycle comes up with the ultimate wtf goods. Posifrickintivity in action!!! Let's do this!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/03/2014 06:51

Morning ladies.
Sounds like you had a lovely day misery, now to enjoy some honeymoon tith!!
Otters, sorry AF got you! What a bitch!!! Angry

noitsachicken · 04/03/2014 07:11

Hi everyone.
Thanks for all the welcomes.
I couldn't log back in last night for some reason.

I am feeling v rough this morning, quite heavy bleeding, I only stopped bleeding last wed then started again Sunday. I'm not sure what's going on, maybe it was more than a CP??!

Triplespin · 04/03/2014 08:27

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been quiet. Just trying to relax and not obsess over things too much.
parsley my spotting stopped over the weekend, but I have no other symptoms either, so not feeling very positive. I had slightly sore boobs, but they keep coming and going. So this morning no soreness at all. Going back to get my hcg tested on Friday and will hopefully find out more that evening whether it is viable or not.

Seasides · 04/03/2014 08:49

Congrats also misery - sounds like a lovely, personal day.

Glad you're hanging in there triple, hope you get some good news to boost you up soon.

Last night I dreamed that one by one, you all announced BFPs! Hoping that comes true (but that I also get to announce one!).

Triplespin · 04/03/2014 08:59

seaside I hope you are next!!! Hopefully your bfp will come along soon.

pickles the 2-3 on digi sounds very promising. But given our histories it is hard not to get stressed. Fx for you.

sebsmummy1 · 04/03/2014 09:26

Hope you get good HCG results Triple xxx

I don't think anything would be able to reassure me in the first trimester now, if I ever get pregnant again, as I got all the results I was expecting at key stages and it still slipped away. I suppose the only thing I didn't get was a heart beat, so perhaps that might gee me up a bit if I opted for an early scan.

On cd7 here. Fertility monitor telling me low, spotting seems to have gone. Just waiting now to see if I get any OV symptoms towards the weekend as I used to ov early.

winohhh · 04/03/2014 09:31

Hi everyone, I wondered if I could pop on and ask a question? I've been lurking for a couple of weeks since my mmc. I had an erpc two weeks ago today (cakes and metal, it sounds like we share the same unhappy anniversary). Feeling a bit fragile today, but generally trying to stay upbeat and hopeful.

We're keen to start trying again ASAP. I'm old, and we have a difficult history of ttc. I just wondered if you guys waited for the bleeding to stop before ttc again? For the most part the bleeding stopped a week ago, but over the last few days I've been getting what looks like bloody cm. Is this normal after a miscarriage? The last thing I want is to cause an infection, but I'm so impatient to start capitalising on this mythical increase in fertility!!

Thanks guys. I've found lurking on this thread has been really helpful. Wishing you all lots of luck!

CakesALot · 04/03/2014 09:48

Hi winohhh. So sorry about your unhappy anniversary today, but you have company on that one Smile. I've got a day full of meetings ahead to keep me distracted!

Not sure I can help much as my bleeding completely stopped after just a couple of days and I felt comfortable to DTD about 10 days after, ish?? (It wasn't very successful, but at least we got that first time out the way!) I think anything is probably 'normal' in the WTF cycle, it's such a crazy time for your body.

Good luck with your next cycle, fingers crossed for us all Smile

sebsmummy1 · 04/03/2014 10:18

Hi winoh,

Sorry you are here Sad

Directly I knew my mc was complete and my cervix was closed we TTC again. Unfortunately I didn't ovulate and AF arrived around 5 days ago. What I would say is you are very unlikely to ovulate if you are still showing a positive on a pregnancy test. Are you still testing positive?

Seasides · 04/03/2014 10:21

Oh pickle! I didn't dream yours then! I just checked late last night, and it got lost in my dream - congrats, so hoping this is your sticky one. And sorry you're feeling rough chicken, and that I can't be helpful winohhh, mine was ectopic, so less relevant bleed-wise. Couldn't move for 2 weeks, let alone shag!

Metalhead · 04/03/2014 10:23

Hi winohhh, welcome to the club! Sorry for your loss.

For me, I waited until all spotting had stopped for a couple of days before dtd again (first time last night). The red bleeding stopped a week ago for me as well, but then I had a few days of brown spotting over the weekend. As you say, the last thing you want now is to get an infection, so I'd probably wait another day or two.

As for the increased fertility, have you poas to see if your hcg levels are down yet? If you're still getting a positive (as I am, even though it's very faint) then it's highly unlikely that you're ovulating yet, so no need to rush anything.

TeaRex · 04/03/2014 10:24

winoahh Sorry for your loss, I think anything is normal post mc unfortunately :( fertile cm is like egg white, so if it's that tinged with blood you could be ovulating otherwise you might just be spotting a bit again and it's the last of the blood? Have you thought about or do you use opks? That might help you pinpoint when you should just go for it :) x

triple hope everything's absolutely fine for you and the test is good news xxxxxx

MissHobart · 04/03/2014 10:24
