The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

"At least you know you can get pregnant" does not a baby make...

Welcome Cakes, I too had an ercp two weeks ago tomorrow - how weird is that?! Like you we're keen to start trying again but have been told to wait until I've had my first AF, were you told the same?

misery congratulations on your wedding! Hope you had a fab time. I still look back very fondly at my wedding, it truly was the happiest day of my life (so far).

And don't worry about getting drunk Sundance - two days before I got my BFP with DD I got hammered at a works do as I thought AF had arrived (turned out to be implantation bleeding), and she's a very happy, healthy 3.8-year-old now!

CakesALot · 03/03/2014 14:03

Hi Metal! That is weird! But also strangely nice?!!

I had a conversation with a specialist nurse before they sent me home from hospital and she told me to do a pregnancy test in 4-5 weeks time to see if it was negative but not to worry if it was positive for up to 8 weeks (!) afterwards as it can take that long for the HCG levels to fully drop. And I said 'or I could be pregnant again at 8 weeks' and she sort of looked at me sideways and said, yes, I could be. So I took that as an ok to get at it when we wanted! She just warned me that if I don't wait for AF it'll make dating difficult which could make us anxious. I'm going to be very anxious anyway though!

We're just taking it easy. It's sort of nice not thinking about dates and when best to TITH. No pressure! (yeah, right!)

noitsachicken · 03/03/2014 14:50

Hi, can I join please?

Had a m/c at 6 weeks in Jan and just had a CP.
Had a BFN today so hoping to get back on track.

Noitsachicken TTC No 2, 33, m/c Jan 2014, CP march 2014.

noitsachicken · 03/03/2014 14:52

Oh I have a DS 20 months.

Metalhead · 03/03/2014 15:05

Hi chicken and welcome! Were you on the Sep AN thread as well? I think I recognise your name. So sorry you've had another loss already, how awful!

Cakes that's interesting what the nurse told you. Tbh, when I say we were told to wait - it was more a case of here's a leaflet and off you go. Said leaflet states "we usually advise you wait until after your first period". I think we might just see what happens but not actively try to catch my fertile window this month. As you say, will be quite nice to just do it for fun! Grin

CakesALot · 03/03/2014 15:17

Interesting is the right word - plus I don't think I can wait 4 weeks to see if I have a negative (pregnancy tests purchased on lunch break today!).

Let's just see what happens over the next few weeks. Happy TITHing! Wink

broodylicious · 03/03/2014 15:50

Hi chicken, another fellow ex-September graduate. So sorry to hear of your cp. what a shitter. I'd everything crossed that bean would stick this time. Lots of hugs xx

Sal1977 · 03/03/2014 16:57

Welcome to the place that noone wants to be in newbies!

Talking of winning, I stupidly downed about 86 vodka jelly shots at an Ann Summers party on Saturday night and cheered on by my mate screaming "you're a fucking ledge", won the lap dancing competition. Now, you may say 'well done', but after spending the whole day yesterday downing cans of full fat coke and feeling like a bear shat in my head, I don't seem to be able to walk properly today.

Hi, my name's Sally and I'm a 36yr old twat.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 03/03/2014 17:06

Congratulations Misery! Wedding deets please!!! Grin

Sorry for your losses Chicken. I recognise your name too. Hope you're giving yourself lots of tlc. Really hope you get a sticky BFP soon!!

I just had a lovely 90 min reflexology and massage session! Feel sooo relaxed!! The lady said my womb area feels a little fragile, but nothing untoward after a mc. She said she's glad I didn't find it painful as that could indicate my womb wasn't quite ready to start again. All in all a really enjoyable 90mins!!

HollyBen · 03/03/2014 17:24

Priceless Sal. Ultimate respect! A few years ago I ended up in some dodgy student bar after a Christmas night out which had a pole dancing competition going on (did I mention it was a rather dodgy bar??). I was desperate to have a go. Luckily no matter how much I drank I never got THAT drunk.....

Welcome chicken, sorry for your losses. Hope it is a short stay.

metal no real need not to TTC during wtf cycle. Hospital/docs say it is to make dating easier but they date your pg dependant on size at scans. It can be difficult to work out what is going on during the wtf cycle though.

So today is day 1 of operation posifrickentive. WW stuff dusted off again, gym class booked for tonight, GP apt made for next Monday (only one lady GP at practice, not keen on others and I stupidly said oh no it is not urgent) to discuss what test they can/will do. Will make an acupuncture apt tomorrow when I am work as I want to go at lunchtime so need to check my diary

Seasides · 03/03/2014 17:50

Hi all, back from lovely quick break this afternoon. I learnt to ski! Very unexpected. Not wanting to fall over 'just in case' coz it's the 2ww helped with being even more shit scared balance! 4dpo, had very sensitive nipples for the last couple of days. More red herring symptoms I'm sure - every month my body thinks up new, imaginative ways to fuck with my head.

So sorry to see so many newbies here since I last clocked in - hope we can make you laugh until you move on quickly. Loving those jelly shot antics sal! I've not been abstaining either - not in such style, but DH and I did look around at the airport on the way home and wonder why we were the only ones with a 'last holiday beer'...then realise it was because it was 11.45am...My name's Seasides, and I promise I don't really have an alcohol problem...

Seasides · 03/03/2014 18:03

Oh, also - really otters?! That's so exciting, I'm delighted to have been helpful! I was just looking at some pics of us all dancing around the top room, they're my screensaver - I hope you have as enjoyable a day as we did, I have such happy memories of that building!

Metalhead · 03/03/2014 18:07

Haha Sal, that sounds like something I would do too when really drunk and if the opportunity presented itself!! (I narrowly missed out on a wet t-shirt contest in Tenerife once because my mate physically held me back, but have been known to streak down the road in the middle of the night after a particularly boozy night round at a friend's house...)

Ok, TMI alert - I've had some really weird cm today, it kind of looks like ewcm but is really gloopy, almost like jelly. Anyone had this? Is it likely to be a good sign, or just more WTF-ness?

Seasides · 03/03/2014 18:16

I've had that a couple of times metal, it freaked me out at first. I don't know what it is, sorry, but hih to know you're not alone!

sebsmummy1 · 03/03/2014 18:16

Metal head I think it's quite common after mc. I think it could be a good sign if your hpt hit zero soon after your period. I was still testing positive so in my case I think it was a sign my hormones were all over the place.

sebsmummy1 · 03/03/2014 18:17

That should have read - hit zero soon after your mc.

tannyLoo · 03/03/2014 18:40

Metal, me too! I had loads of ewcm including tons of jellyish cm that started on about cd8 after the start of my mc. I got a positive opk yesterday on cd13, so I figure it's a good sign if you're going to jump straight in.

Sal, thanks for the mental image! I don't get invited to those sorts of parties!

Justonemoretime · 03/03/2014 18:43

Hello ladies. I think the 'wallpaper paste' cm is due to an oestrogen surge as your cycle kicks back in. Hope this helps/reassures? Wink

sebsmummy1 · 03/03/2014 18:45

Justonemoretime would that explain why I have got some at the tail end of my AF?

OttersPocket · 03/03/2014 18:53

We haven't booked it yet seasides but we're going to have a look and a chat in a couple of weeks. It's between there or the other place I mentioned near the Uni Grin.

Well that's AF here at last. Fuckity fuck fuck bugger. So onto my 8th round of Clomid Sad. Bloody 8th. I'm having a massive glass of red wine to commiserate. I might go batshit crazy and start dancing in the dining table in your honour sal!

CakesALot · 03/03/2014 18:58

Metal- I haven't had that related to my mc but did have it when I had my implant out last April which would fit with cycles kicking back in. Sounds good to me!

tannyLoo · 03/03/2014 19:06

Otters sorry to hear the witch came by. Make it two glasses.

miserywaterfall · 03/03/2014 19:19

Thanks all, wedding was very small, initially only 30 guests but post mmc I just felt that I couldn't handle seeing everyone and cut it to our absolute closest family and friends only, so 17 in total. Thankfully everyone understood. Also thankfully we're quite shy so it was just a registry office wedding, with a buffet back at our flat. It was a great day, very small and just suited us perfectly Smile Not impressed with the first AF post mc showing up to prevent TITH action but ah well, I tried not to dwell on my loss too much throughout the day.

Hope everyone's Monday has been cool.

Noitsachicken so sorry to see you here, was really hoping for good news. xx

Metalhead · 03/03/2014 19:34

Thanks for all the replies ladies, looks like my body might be on its way to getting back to normal then, which would be great!

So sorry AF got you Otters. Enjoy your Wine tonight!
