She's still thrashing my ass at words with friends so she's not too far away!

BoodleDoo · 17/02/2014 20:10

I'm here! I hate period pain. I hate colds. I hate downregging.

Win - very sorry to see your news and I hope everything goes as it should tomorrow. I found my General anaesthetic very straightforward; little consolation I know.

Bunnygirlie · 17/02/2014 20:10

win will be thinking of you tomorrow, hugs x

I like to think there is a berry bat signal that can be used to recall AWOL berries like me. It projects a giant sausage into the sky...

Bunnygirlie · 17/02/2014 20:13

at giant sausage!

win hope it all goes ok and you manage to have a restful week. Thinking of you.

feather Hope the agnus castus works. I've not tried it myself. I am thinking of changing acupuncturists to one that offers more supplementary advice and has more of a fertility specialism. I see a very nice bloke (although that in itself was a bit weird to start with) but I think I have reached the limit of what he can offer. The baby shower was very nice, although a bit of a test at times, particularly when being grilled by an old school friend about whether I wanted kids, when we were planning them etc.

barking the christening sounds like a tough day. well done for surviving it. Hope the last minute wedding prep is going well!

birdy I wondered about the possibilty of a chemical pregnancy. It hasn't felt at all normal. Hoping it is just a one off blip.

Good question about the tests parsley I had been wondering the same myself. I have had LH/FSH/Prog/thyroid, and OH has had one SA, with another booked in for April before our FC follow up. Also had pelvic ultrasound back in July because of heavy periods, and to come hsg later this month. I was looking on the Zita West website, and AMH and Vit D tests were recommended.

I'm glad Monday is almost over. A totally crappy day. Phoned up to book my hsg first thing, and they wouldn't give me an appointment over the phone. I have to wait for it to arrive in the post, and if I can't make it then I will have to wait till next month because they don't run many clinics. FFS! Why do they have to make it so hard?! Less than impressed by the NHS experience so far. The sheer rudeness of the woman on the phone was the last straw and on top of miserable af pains and being tired, the dog randomly did a wee on the kitchen floor whilst I was on the phone. Cue a descent into blubbing self pity. Have pulled myself together now though!

winohhh · 17/02/2014 21:47

Ha!!! Love the 'sausage' symbol blue!

FeatherFeather11 · 17/02/2014 22:22

Is that a giant sausage in the sky? Hahahaha..that's brilliant boodle! Boo to downregging woe - hope it gets easier soon.

tiger there's nothing worse than a fertility nurse with a cob on. Nightmare. I think they must sometimes forget that most of the women they see are going through enough as is without getting a load of crap from people that should be helping. Where's the humanity!

happy glad you had a lovely weekend. How long is the school trip for? Jeez - I cannot imagine going away with a bunch of kids that aren't my own! No escape! Grin. Also, the packaging for conception stuff sucks. What's that fertility friendly lube called? Not preseed, the other one - it's got a massive blue-eyed baby on the box, I mean, seriously! Angry

wino really hope tomorrow goes quickly and smoothly for you. Will be thinking of you. Flowers

Getting weird 'pinchy' twinges in my left Fallopian tube and getting hugely paranoid about the possibility of another ectopic. Realistically, I can't be pregnant, but I've still got the heeby jeeby's about it. Also, pregnant colleague (yeah, remember her? The one that I would have been due a week after with?) had her 20 week scan and she's having a girl. Happy for her but felt so bloody jealous when she told me. I need to get a grip. Got to get back to spinning after falling of the wagon last week with a cold. It really is the only thing keeping me sane right now.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 18/02/2014 03:52

So here I am, on the last day of my honeymoon, blissfully sat by the pool, when suddenly a giant sausage projects into the sky and I feel the call of my berry sisters Grin

18dpo today, spotted on 16dpo and nothing since then, would get excited except that my body likes to play this trick on me where AF always waits until I'm on a long haul flight to then make a splashy appearance...

barkingtreefrog · 18/02/2014 05:40

Just typed a reply to everyone then managed to hit 'back' and lost it all. Grr. Angry

Anyone got any ideas how to stop yourself waking up at 5am every morning? Angry . It's been going on for the last 3 weeks. Usually I can get back to sleep but no such luck today. Sore throat and cold not helping.

HampshireBlues · 18/02/2014 09:09

Win hope all goes well today and you don't feel too groggy after your GA xx

SidneyBristow · 18/02/2014 10:29

Thinking of you today win. All the GAs I've had have been just fine, and I wish the same for you. Worst problem is afterwards feeling extremely cold (teeth-chattering cold, not just chilly) and very, very emotional (uncontrollable crying for no reason), both of which the drs said was very common. If it happens to you, just roll with it. All the more reason for you to be taken good care of Thanks

Sorry to have been absent lately berries, feeling in limbo not really knowing where I belong, and trying not to analyze every sign, or lack thereof. I had stupidly thought that the end of TTC would mean the end of symptom-spotting stress, but nope Confused.

BoodleDoo · 18/02/2014 10:49

Batberry signal for the next thread title...

All the best for today, Win.

Barking, no idea with the sleeping thing, but perhaps the pre-wedding feelings aren't helping?! Just another reason for your brain to be particularly active? I have a friend at who's dealing with TTC stress and she swears by nightol...I've never tried it though so can't vouch for it myself.

barkingtreefrog · 18/02/2014 13:28

Win hope today isn't too physically uncomfortable and that you're home recovering soon Thanks .

It seems this mornings sleep issues were more to do with illness, by the time I was eating breakfast I felt horrendous, had to ask a child to read out the names on the register as I couldn't talk in more than a whisper without worrying I was going to throw up and taught numeracy sitting down as I felt so dizzy. Gave up by playtime and got a taxi home. Deputy was off yesterday with the same symptoms, shivery, dizzy, sore throat, nausea, lethargy. She said she was ill Sunday and Monday and feels not quite 100% but better today. So a two day bug. Parents Evening tonight and tomorrow and I'm feeling very guilty for leaving my job share to do them all by herself, and also quite upset about not being there as this will be the last parents evening for this class and I've had them 18 months now. Have only just woken up though after 2 hours solid sleep on the sofa, amd the lemsip isn't having any effect so clearly I was right to come home. I'm getting married in 4 days I don't have time for this! Supposed to be at our wedding rehearsal tonight!

SidneyBristow · 18/02/2014 14:14

Oh barking you poor thing! You definitely don't need to do anything right now except rest, and keep hydrated. If it's a 2 day bug then odds are good you'll be well by your wedding day, which is all that matters. Plenty of parents' nights in the future, but this will be your one and only wedding day Thanks Go back to sleep, stay warm and hopefully the soup fairy will bring you something for dinner Thanks

winohhh · 18/02/2014 16:21

All done. :(

I was so scared going in, crying all over the place, but all was fine. Just waiting to be told I can go home now. Bit of cramping, although that seems to have eased now. Quite a bit of bleeding, but nothing scary. The general was absolutely fine. Quite pleasant really. Not sure how I feel emotionally yet. Time will tell!

Thanks for all your thoughts! X

winohhh · 18/02/2014 16:23

Feel better soon barking!! Wedding in 4 days, eek! You definitely shouldn't be at school. Rest! Don't feel guilty, you have to be in peak condition for the wedding!

SidneyBristow · 18/02/2014 17:05

win Thanks glad for your sake that the physical part is mostly over and that you can concentrate on the emotional side of it. Take care of yourself, we are here to support you Thanks

FeatherFeather11 · 18/02/2014 19:31

I second sid, win. Hope your physical recovery is swift and remember we're all here for chats and ranting if and when you need. Flowers

barking poor you! I know this sounds bonkers, but I've found if you neck dissolvable aspirin it can kill a bug early on. Also, don't have any dairy so you don't produce phlegm. Sending you recovery vibes. Wine

HampshireBlues · 18/02/2014 20:20

Sid glad all has gone smoothly for you - I echo the other comments Thanks

Barking I can't believe that you are working - I vote stay off sick for the rest of the week; plenty of fluids and regular paracetamol! How exciting that your wedding day is so near - we hit 4 years on Thursday and I can still remember the feeling I had waking up that morning! I hope that the sleep issues sort themselves out as well.

AF a little on the shy side this month - day 5 of spotting and so getting a little frustrated - no nookie for me on Thursday Angry I wish that our bodies made more sense!

Gillster · 18/02/2014 20:36

Get well soon Barking and Wino. Look after yourselves.

Bunnygirlie · 18/02/2014 22:22

win wishing you a speedy recovery, hope OH is looking after you x

barking oh Hun poor you being poorly just before your wedding, sending lots of get well wishes!

Hello everyone else!

Barking how you feeling today? Definitely take the rest of the week off, its only 3 days!
Wino hope you're doing ok Flowers

Aquarius1 · 19/02/2014 08:30

Morning all - saw the batberry signal so checking in.

wino really sorry to read about your news and hope you're feeling alright this morning after the GA. I had that 'quite pleasant' feeling too - had my first one back in Dec. not that there's anything else pleasant about the situation at all.

barking poor you & hope you feel better soon.

because I was wondering what was happening with you - gosh 18dpo- do you tend to have longer cycles? Really hope it's not af or if it is that it doesn't show up on the plane - nightmare.

feather that's an interesting tip re necking aspirin - must remember that...

Hello all other berries. Not much to report here - off for 2nd FC apptmt next wk & expecting AF in meantime....
