win that's good news!

funky I meant to say before, I though of you this weekend! We were in Canterbury and there was a shop called Funky Monks!

OttersPocket · 11/03/2014 09:46

Whoop win good news!

Massive luck for today Boodle

Good news for you too Beaky, my bfp came two months after my hsg so fx crossed for you.

Gearing up for shagging week here and doing everything I can in order to increase cm including taking some ridiculous herbal pills.

Have a great day everyone!

Berries, quick question...did someone once mentioned that ovulation sticks can be used for pregnancy testing? I ovulated on cue on CD14, am now CD21 and, well, feeling funny so I've done an ovulation stick that shows a line but my cheapie pregnancy strip doesn't. I'm Confused

OttersPocket · 11/03/2014 10:12

Is the line as dark as the control line because? If not then it shouldn't really be classed as positive. Opk's can detect pregnancy but usually not until after a HPT has detected it.

I get lines on OPKs right up until AF shows. But you never know Wink

BecauseIsaidS0 · 11/03/2014 10:21

It is as dark...it's all rather strange. Usually I get lines on days 14 and 15 and then on day 16 very, very faint. Maybe I'm ovulating again? (it can happen, after all)

BoodleDoo · 11/03/2014 10:23

Thanks everyone. Just sat around now waiting to hear how it went.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 11/03/2014 10:24

Fingers crossed for you, Boodle!!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2014 10:30

Because, whenever I got a bfp my OPKs showed lines 1 to 2 days beforehand (when I was still getting negatives on a HPT). However never as early as 7dpo.
It could be that you showed all the signs for o-ing last week but didn't, and now you are having another surge?

BecauseIsaidS0 · 11/03/2014 10:35

Could very well be a second surge...if it is, we've got it covered as we DTD yesterday Grin

OttersPocket · 11/03/2014 12:22

Sounds like another surge, get on it Grin

Hope it's all good news Boodle!

beakybeak · 11/03/2014 12:31

Oo win, sounds like your cycle is back, good luck to you this month!

I'm feeling encouraged by all the bfps after hsgs! Otters hope the pills work for you this cycle Smile

Because, can you maybe pick up a superdrug test or frer? I know it's very early still though so maybe best to hold out? Fx for a bfp!

Boodle, hope it's gone well, keeping fx for you.

barkingtreefrog · 11/03/2014 12:53

First FC appointment for me & Mr Snow this afternoon :)

BoodleDoo · 11/03/2014 13:35

Hello! Just got home from the hospital. Yep - they collected 11 eggs. Now, to wait...

beakybeak · 11/03/2014 13:44

Hi snow, hope your appointment goes well this afternoon.

Boodle, great news on egg collection, 11! Do you just need to wait to hear from them now?

FeatherFeather11 · 11/03/2014 13:45

Yay boodle that's great!

Good luck tomorrow snow and barking

tigerdog · 11/03/2014 14:46

Hope all goes well today snow!

FeatherFeather11 · 11/03/2014 15:29

Super-fingers crossed boodle

because fingers crossed for you too! Have you tried a first response test? When I got my bfp in November I got negative opk and ic preg test but a positive Frer.

Well, hsg is done and dusted. V uncomfortable and the good news is my left tube is clear! The bizarre thing is that my right tube was very much there, although blocked at the end - the opening point. Gyny thought that the operation back in 2008 was only a small snip off the end and had subsequently sealed off. I'm in shock. Asked him what he'd do if he were in my position and he said "if you could hack the mental anguish of possibly having another ectopic, then I'd give clomid another roll of the dice. You have a one in ten chance of it happening again just like anyone else who's had one. I've seen so many women that have been in you position and have gone on to have successful pregnancies, so it is up to you." My first instinct when he said all that is that I should give clomid a go when I'm ready. Take the risk and if it doesn't work, get referred for ivf. I'm not sure though - need to think about it. What do you guys think?

OttersPocket · 11/03/2014 15:58

Oh wow Feather, that's good news! Forgive my stupidity (I'm traveling and tired), but could they open up the end of the right tube? I'm embarrassed that that is a really dumbass question! But hooray for your left tube! Grin

It's a toughie though. Would you rather go straight to IVF? Personally, I'd be tempted to give Clomid another shot but maybe for a max of three cycles, but that's obviously just me. I have this fear that IVF won't work for me (totally irrational of course, just more mental torture really), so I'm quite keen to try everything I'm offered before heading down the IVF route. Having said that I'm getting sick of Clomid (8 cycles down, 4 to go)! I'm sure the other Berries will be along with more knowledge and better suggestions for you!

FeatherFeather11 · 11/03/2014 16:51

Not stupid at all otters - wish if asked him the same thing! Think if it was possible he would have mentioned it? Know what you mean about the irrational ivf fear as I have the same thing -!i know it works for many, many women, including lots of Berries, but I think it just don't think it will work for me - it is a silly destructive way to think and something I really need to work on! Hang in there with the clomid. Are you being monitored? Are you ovulating on it? You've probably said before but there are so many of us I'm finding it hard to keep up with where everyone is at. Hmm

happylass · 11/03/2014 17:13

Even

happylass · 11/03/2014 17:19
