The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Fish slaps please. Have just clocked that with my new and 'improved' 32 day cycle, that works out at 36 'lost' days per year compared to my pre MC cycle of 29 days. That's a whole cycle less in terms of opportunities to conceive each year. Hmm

OttersPocket · 21/02/2014 17:25

Step AWAY from the calculator Parsley! Have a wee fish-slap, I'm prone to depressing myself with statistics too...

Have a lovely Friday evening everyone. I'm 5dpo but I'm going out to drink wine

sebsmummy1 · 21/02/2014 17:37

Out tonight too with a good friend. Have a lovely Friday night everyone xx

DoctorDonnaNoble · 21/02/2014 17:46

So DH is 'poorly' (slight temp) and has been drinking all day in Cambridge with his mates and isn't due back until 9pm. Today is the start of my fertile period - I should write tonight off, and just watch Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock, yes?

Penguin13 · 21/02/2014 18:06

Salut tout le monde. Back from a gluttonous and very relaxing 5 days in France. Quite glad you ignored my plea to not do anything too exciting in my absence as there's loads to catch up on!

Massive congratulations on your engagement Otters. How lovely and exciting.

Welcome all the newbies and congratulations on your BFP Corpore!

Roughly 6 DPO here and couldn't be more symptom free. I definitely did not Google pain in finger joints + early pregnancy today. Although maybe give me a fish slap just in case Grin

sebsmummy1 · 21/02/2014 18:10

Penguin Grin

Sometimes I think in terms of googlable searches only. I am odd though.

Penguin13 · 21/02/2014 22:34

Oh ffs. Quiet night in with the hubs watching a film. Won't mention which film to avoid spoilers but the woman has ONE night of passion with her man and ends up pg. Really. REALLY?

Also what is the deal with fluffy romance type novels no longer being content with ending on the people getting together? They snog, everyone's happy, The End. Now there has to be an epilogue with the tableau of the perfect life including at least one child Angry

Nope. Getting cross at fictional novels and films not irrational in the slightest. ....

sebsmummy1 · 21/02/2014 23:33

Oh yes. The ease that these women have orgasms and conceive children is breath taking. All it takes is a little bit of light petting and they are writhing about in ecstasy. Obviously to find themselves up-duffed 2 weeks later. I like it in films when they've had a night of passion together but in the morning the woman has her bra on. As you do Hmm

Well I have beautiful fertile mucus here this evening. Clear, shiny, I wouldn't say in huge volumes but I conceived with the sane volume so I am very hopeful here. Had a lovely evening out, came back and leapt on DP.

Plan on having a few more rounds over the weekend then I need to hope everything goes a bit quiet and gives me some signs that ov happened. Wish I'd temped this cycle but I kept forgetting then couldn't be arsed. Feeling positive which is nice.

HollyBen · 22/02/2014 14:12

I too am very Hmm about these people on TV who have these passionate encounters then she sit up with her bra on and he gets out of bed with pants on. really. No digging underwear out of trouser legs or turning tops the right way out? Or is that just me. My memories of unplanned unbridled passion are fading fast.....
I have read two books recently where the leading ladies have 'accidentally' found themselves pregnant and trace it back to 1 missed pill blah blah blah Saying that I do gave a friend whose 3 (yes 3) DC who were all unplanned.
So 6 dpo today and just noticed some creamy CM. No idea what that means and am absolutely not about too google CM during early pregnancy no sireee

sebsmummy1 · 22/02/2014 14:41

If you don't normally get creamy discharge on the 2ww, and I for one don't. Then that is a rather positive sign Holly Grin

OttersPocket · 22/02/2014 16:26

I'm also 6dpo Holly and have some creamy cm. I'm totally not getting excited about the fact that on my bfp cycle I had the same thing. Totally not. Hmm sets self up for massive disappointment

I've got some non-upduffed girlfriends coming round this evening to celebrate the engagement excellent excuse for champagne so I'll be drinking this evening in the hope that it temps bfp fate Grin

HollyBen · 22/02/2014 20:38

I think I also remember getting some when I got by BFP too otters though I can't say for certain I didn't also have it before. This is the first time since MC though. Hope you are enjoying the champagne. The day before I got my BFP in July I had been out for cocktails. I was supposed to be out with the same friend for cocktails yesterday but she was ill. I have no idea why this is relevant really as we know there is no rhyme nor reason, but I am holding on to the positive signs

Parsley2506 · 22/02/2014 22:53

TMI question. This is 3rd AF since the MMC now - did any of you lot (who've had more than 1 cycle since MC) have clotty periods for a while afterwards?
Mine now seem to be v heavy day 1 with small dark clots, going down to medium heavy day 2 with sometimes almost watery looking bleeding and then really light for a day or two more.
Anyone had this/sought GP advice on it?

Can't help but feel a clotty womb isn't going to be very egg friendly?

sebsmummy1 · 23/02/2014 07:36

Parsley, that period sounds distinctly normal to me. I'm sure they say you should have full flow for two days and then it should peter off.

When I was having anovolatory cycles my period would be ridiculously heavy and I knew that wasn't right. Now I have one heavy day, two medium days and spotting for two days. Sometimes I have lots of clots, sometimes it is really thin, it's normal!

Parsley2506 · 23/02/2014 08:59

Thanks sebs - it was mostly the clotty bit that was bothering me. I never used to examine AF in much detail pre MC (why would you!?! Wink) but now it's yet another thing for me to obsess over....

Right. Time to get the flatpack show on the road! Spent a whole afternoon in ikea yesterday without throttling anyone, quite an achievement! New utility room transformation time. Trying to forget we only decided to do this work because I was pg at the time....

sebsmummy1 · 23/02/2014 09:52

Everything seems to have a pregnancy memory attached so it doesn't it? Even the most stupid things like a TV program can remind me.

I'm off for a day out with my Mum today, DP is taking son to visit his Mum and Dad. I started using the clearblue fertility monitor at 5pm yesterday, so now I'm going to have to take the bloody thing out with me incase I'm not back. I am still just about showing on an ultra early pregnancy test but looking at the opk I don't think it's registering on that as the monitior gave me a low reading. Still seeing what looks like EWCM but I dont trust anything at the moment.

This is the longest WTF cycle ever!!

Metalhead · 23/02/2014 10:27

Agree with sebs that small clots are nothing to worry about Parsley, I'm sure I've always had them.

Hope you had a lovely evening with lots of champers Otters, and hope have a nice day today with your mum sebs! My parents are coming today to stay with us for a week, really looking forward to it as we haven't seen them since Christmas. (Even if it is a bit sad as we'd originally planned to tell them about my pregnancy when they came over...)

HollyBen · 23/02/2014 12:43

Parsley I used to get clots pre-mc. I now have really light af. Nothing and most everything seems to be normal. It makes is worse when we all prod and obsess. Did I mention more creamy cm here today? Fish slaps please....

Sebs my wtf cycle was 79 day which was extremely frustrating and annoying. I tried to tell myself it was for a reason but have never been so glad to see af.

CorporeSarnie · 23/02/2014 15:14

Hi all, just dropping in. Still spotting a little, so am trying to be as blunt with myself as I can, accept that I'm still a long way from any scans and that they wouldn't stop anything anyway. But am also hoping for the best. Positivity needed for the littlest sarnie. Otherwise am feeling tired and a bit nauseous but no other symptoms as yet.
parsley, clots were variable for me before DC & mc, try not to fret.

MissHobart · 23/02/2014 15:23
Grin

I too am living vicariously through all you lot! AF due later this week, nothing else to report! Hmm

Sundance2007 · 23/02/2014 15:40

parsley. - sounds v.normal. I had clots for at least 3 af's post mc, then back to normal, then more clots. Gross, but quite normal too, the doc told me that would happen when I had my mc.

So, been having a few cramps today, curiosity got the better of me so I just took an opk, 2 strong lines! I only finished af 7 days ago!!! So naturally panicking that my SMEP plans are out the window. Will have a bash tonight but can't believe my planned assault on at least 8 days of TITH has gone out the window!! Wtf is going in with these cycles???

Choccywoccydodah · 23/02/2014 16:42

Hi ladies

Haven't read back on this thread but do you mind if I join?
I had 3 chemical mcs nov/dec/jan, had February off and due to ov this coming week.
I have a beautiful 2 1/2 yo ds who I absolutely adore.
I'm so scared about the next few weeks and it all happening again.

I have a recurrent mc clinic appt tomorrow afternoon and I don't really know what to expect apart from blood tests etc.
I had a scan after my last CP and the nurse was absolutely fabulous and she said the consultant was brilliant.
I'm just writing down questions to ask at the moment.
Can anyone shed any light on what goes on at the appt? I'm in the uk, not sure if that matters.

So sorry for all of your losses, it just absolutely is the worst thing ever.

Justonemoretime · 23/02/2014 16:59

Hello Chocky, sorry you find yourself here, but welcome.
Which clinic are you going to? Many go a range of bloods and a scan and then more bloods 6 weeks later and possibly any action if needed based on scan and interview of your history. St Mary's in London do a TEG test that other clinics don't do, its their specialism.
Most will give you an action plan, but probably not until the repeat bloods have been done and this might be to just try again or maybe use aspirin or herapin next time you get a BFP. Try to write your history down and take any paper work as you might miss details when you're there. Also write down any questions you can think of before hand and take them. If you can, get the clinic admin or secretary's email address so that you can keep in touch and ask questions if you remember something later. I expect that the questions you will need to ask will arise after you've got the first round of test results back, so tomorrow will be just the start of the journey. Good luck!

Justonemoretime · 23/02/2014 16:59

*do

DoctorDonnaNoble · 23/02/2014 17:03

Oh Choccy, Sorry you're here. Hope you get answers from your tests.
