The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thank you ladies. At least I can drink up on Thursday at work drinks.

Welcome luckystar. I know what you mean about going bankrupt. TTC is expensive! I also spent a lot if money on Chinese herbs. I didn't even make the tea. They looked strange enough from afar.

I had my smear two weeks ago too. Glad it's out of the way. sal can't you book the smear for earlier in the cycle? I would be paranoid that they may retrieve the sperm dh has deposited lol.

fedupofrainydays · 28/01/2014 19:39

I too didn't think they used lube at a smear - just a very cold and clunky speculum (said just for you seasides)

Oldies of this thread may remember this same dilemna I had when I had a date with the willy-cam in the summer. They def use lube there and was debating 'douching' and posting a thread on AIBU for asking the NHS to use sperm friendly lube on willycam dates!!
All that aside, the spermies that will make it will have gone past the cervix and into the tubes any way.

And as for baby batter dribble I too did that with my last smear but did not care!! Thing is you have to do smear in middle of cycle to avoid period so assume they are used to it with us ttc crazies.

triple I'm sorry about af. Stupid cow.

otters I too have the sorest boobs. But like you have only had this when none pregnant (and been 3 times now) so doesn't bode well for me.

Said to myself I wasn't drinking mon to thurs during the week. But so feel like a glass of wine.... Ugh.

fedupofrainydays · 28/01/2014 19:42

And welcome newbies!! Helllooooooo!

Luckystar1 · 28/01/2014 19:42

O I'll have a look on Amazon. I'm quite pleased with it, but after all this time ttc, I think I've figured out what's going on. (not that it has assisted!!!)

I have a Chinese herbs too... I haven't taken any yet as I used she oak last cycle and changed my cycle length from 31 to 26 days, so I got too frightened to mess with anything else!!

Another month another gimmick eh? I'm currently trying to book a few days away to 'relax' -you know like they keep telling us to do!! Maybe we'll even stop trying... That's a surefire way to pregnancy........

tannyLoo · 28/01/2014 19:46

Marking my place.

Triple sorry about the bitch.

Doctor I remember you from the main pg board. Sorry you're here. We are well meaning and very crude. Grin

I am still in limbo but don't have much to report. Some symptoms, but that could be the progesterone up my bum. I know I should step away from the sticks, but I'll poas in the morning for peace of mind to confim that I'm in need of a halibut round me chops. I will be 4 weeks tomorrow.

Sundance2007 · 28/01/2014 19:53

Wow - sorry ladies, didn't mean to cause a panic!! Though I can hand on heart say I don't read the daily mail, the article I had read was in the metro paper I read on the train to work!! Good to know we have some biology experts to hand to reassure us though.

Looks like a few people got missed off the stats thread, shall I update?

Crude will probably help at the moment! Need a bit of lightening up! I have to hold my hands up now though. I was once complimented on my non-POAS will power on another thread. The truth is I HATE POAS it's so undignified!

Justonemoretime · 28/01/2014 19:59

Hello Ladies, thanks Seasides for starting the new thread. Welcome to our newbies. Gearing up for shagathon here. Knackered already, not a good start. :)

Sundance2007 · 28/01/2014 20:01

(oops, got my own stat wrong! MC #1 March 2013, not 2012)

Welcome newbies, sorry you find yourselves here.

tannyLoo · 28/01/2014 20:03

Oh and thanks everyone for putting up with my wittering over the last few days. I am annoying myself at the moment. Gah!

Misspositivity · 28/01/2014 20:21

Hi guys. Quick post. Can you add my stats
TTC#2 since Oct 2012. 1mmc 19 Feb 2013 1CP 18 May 2013 and nothing since

Congrats on the BFP. Excellent start to 2014.

Have to run and pack for my shagathon honeymoon. 3 days in bonny Scotland.

tannyLoo · 28/01/2014 20:45

Hey MRSp! Changing your name is easier here than IRL Grin

Enjoy your honeymoon x

Parsley2506 · 28/01/2014 21:22

MRSP!!! Congratulations on your new state of wedded bliss Wink.

Have a wonderful honeyshagamoon, go and get that honeymoon BFP please!!

doctor this is true, but I found peeing in mugs worse. Especially now that pee mug has gone AWOL and might have unsuspectingly been used by someone for something normal, like tea.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/01/2014 21:29

eeeewwww at tea in the pee mug!! haha! Grin

deuscat · 28/01/2014 21:37

Ooh enjoy the honeymoon missmrsp!

Sorry to the newbies arriving. But you're in good company here and hopefully you won't need to stick around too long Wink

Doctor I don't mind poas. But once I start I find it hard to step away even after bfn after bfn. However I've not poas for 2 days now and I'm waiting for AF poas Friday!

Sorry triple that AF got you so late in the day.

funkymonk · 28/01/2014 21:47

Hi Ladies. Sorry that we are all here on this thread and hoping for some better luck for us soon. Please could I join?

Funkymonk ttc #1 cycle 14. mc July 2013 5+2. mmc Dec 2013 8+2 but measuring 6+2.

sizethree · 28/01/2014 21:58

englishgirlabroad I like your suggestion to sall1977 of a BYOB BYOL to a smear. They should make specific sperm friendly ones. Hmmm, maybe that is a billion dollar idea. Could be a sideline business while I'm in the 2ww. See me in Dragons Glen in a few months. Need a product name though...

Parsley2506 · 28/01/2014 22:02

A berry! Hey funky Smile

Seasides · 28/01/2014 22:12

I go away for one massive dinner and you guys have done me proud with lube dribbling and BYOL!

Is Dragons Glen the Scottish version size?! Grin

Does anyone know how to change the title of a thread? I want to add Chin Up Tits Out, can't believe I forgot it!

I've been here since Feb or March 2013 I think sal. Oh god. I'm like the wizened TTC crone in the corner.

Hi newbies, sorry you're all here, and that your DP's feeling the pressure lucky

Happy shaggymoon MrsP! Congratulations! And, whatever you do, do not google 'acronyms for sex' looking for inspiration for a funny mash-up of dtd and honeymoon. Good lord, I feel like a nun in Stringfellows.

OP posts:
EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/01/2014 22:33

Size i want a cut of any profit for the BYOL idea! Haha!

MissHobart · 29/01/2014 06:10

Marking my place, an on nights so may be awol for a bit! Grin

tannyLoo · 29/01/2014 07:07

Well. That wasn't reassuring at all. The line is still pale and hasn't progressed in the last 2 days. I'll call EPAC in a bit and see if I can get a blood test.

I have held on to hope, but I can't deny that things aren't right.

Parsley2506 · 29/01/2014 07:39

tanny I hope they can fit you in and reassure you. Will be thinking of you

Seasides · 29/01/2014 08:58

Same here tanny, I hope they give you good news quickly.
