The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

IS there a new thread?

Metal head I had that too. I'm not sure what causes it but I definitely remember having twinges and almost light cramping as my bleeding lessened.

picklebum I think all tests are different and it depends on dye used. I understand that some tests never show a very strong line. When is AF due? Maybe you can try with a digi. It is expensive but at least no need to squint for the line. I will do the digi on Thursday myself. I have it saved from my previous miscarriage.

sebsmummy1 · 25/02/2014 18:29

Pickle I have never had any problem with them giving me a false positive so don't worry. They are just not very sensitive so it can often take longer for the line to show.

Metalhead · 25/02/2014 18:26

pickle I think hgc doubles every 48-72 hours in early pregnancy, so if you test two days in a row the lines will probably not be much different. I'd try again in 2-3 days if I were you.

Sorry about your WTF cycle sebs! I'm having similar issues; today has been the first day I haven't had any spotting (so far), just a tiny bit of light brown discharge, but instead I've been very achy in my pelvic region and lower back - almost like ov pains I used to get, so who knows what's going on there!

Are tesco kits not as good then sebs? That is the one giving me the faint line, do you think it is wrong?

Sebsmummy I know what you mean about things making sense!! I had spotting which was brownish when I had did for a day or too.
Wow so many posts today need to read through.

Hi everyone, great news triple I know what you mean about being anxious. I tested again this morning but still really faint, I thought it would have been brighter as thought I was due today. Been having lots of intense cramps so been convinced AF coming. I really don't know. One minute I'm like yay it happened the next I'm like why is it faint? So worried.

Thanks sarnie. I'm starting to think it's just my WTF cycle telling me to fuck the fuck off as would you believe I am still showing a faint positive even on a bloody Tesco test which aren't particularly sensitive. I don't think you can ovulate with a level above 25 miu or something and I'm sure tesco tests are 25 miu!!!

I give up.

penguin I was prodding yesterday in a meeting at work! Not obvious poking but had my arms crossed around my chest and was discreeting trying to have a little feel! Hopefully noone noticed.

sarnie keep the appointment. How far along will you be by then? I think fedup who is now on the grads thread had a scan at 5+3, so it may not be too early. Though of course it is possible that they don't see anything just yet which could cause some unnecessary panic.

Thank you sundance I am going to try and hold out. Avoided testing today and will take it one day at a time. I do hope those lines are still there.
Sounds like you had good timing and you know it takes only one Tith to get upduffed. So hopefully you are sorted.

doctor how is your other half coping with the UTI.

otters I am the same. I go into a sulk if dh does not want Tith during fertile days. I always have to be super nice to him to make sure he complies.

Seems like we will have quite a few poasers this Friday. Good luck to everyone.

Gosh, I spend one day in the office not being able to go on Mumsnet and the whole thread has filled up! (What's TITH by the way? I know what it means, but what do the actual letters stand for?)

sebs, I think somewhere in Toni Weschler it does say something about bleeding at the time of ov being a good fertile sign. Will take a look tonight for you. Fingers crossed it is ov bleeding vs. AF, seeing as you've TITH so much this month you deserve a medal (and a BFP, like all of us).

Ha ha holly. Love it Grin

Well I have light brown discharge today. I have googled and it could be ovulation bleeding but I have never had this before! Has anyone else? Of course the alternative is that it's breakthrough bleeding or start if my period.

Fuck knows. I wish something would make sense to me.

Gosh this thread is flying - time for a new one very soon. Happy to sort it out so we can place mark - anyone got any title ideas? Definitely need to get TITH in there and maybe the semi automatic fish gun and, of course, chin up tits out!

The necklace sounds like a lovely idea sarnie, if it makes you feel better wear it and just tell people you saw it in a shop and just loved it. You don't need to give a reason.

I'm on cd7... i hate this bit more than the tww. Just want to get to the bit where I feel like i'm doing something!! Lots of tith planned for the next 2 weeks. Gonna cover all bases and just crack on. Told dh to just do whats needed... dont care how quick long it takes and to not get performance anxiety. Pressure much!! haha!

Hi all, I had some counselling as I wasn't getting over the MC, and I was ending up in tears if anyone who knew the situation asked how I was. I'm by no means in a perfect state now but I have dealt with a lot more of it.
We were talking about commemorative things to remember our lost babies when I joined last week (a long time ago), and I meant to post that following that discussion I bought one of these www.notonthehighstreet.com/hurleyburley/product/silver-angel-wing-necklace
I went for a version with no bead and a long chain, it is lovely, and I do think of my baby looking after us all when I wear it (am not at all religious or woo, but there is a comfort in it). It arrived in just two days and I have been wearing it ever since. The only thing I don't like is that I don't usually wear much jewellery so I have had a couple of questions about it already, which I don't much want to answer - as I didn't talk to loads of people about the MC.
Great news on the BFPs from triple and the maybe from pickle, fingers crossed for you.
No news here - which is ultimately good news. Feeling a little sick, less of the pink cm the last day or two, but very nervous and tentative about it all. Still haven't decided what to do about the US at the hospital next week - will decide nearer the time. But feel guilty that if I cancel at the last min the appt might not get used, which would be bad from an NHS resources perspective.

I have to admit that I regretted not having counselling after my first mc. I was a total wreck as it was such a shock - the 2nd mc wasn't as bad in comparison as I was half anticipating it, but also had the experience to know how to pull myself back up. Good luck to anyone trying it, I know people who swear by it.

Endometriosis is frickin' awful. It took me 15 years to find a contraceptive pill that helped, previously my af's meant passing out on the bathroom floor in agony, sometimes at work, vomiting and general pain that lasted for 2 solid days. On the plus side, it meant i was well trained for mc pain! Obviously now I'm off the contraceptives, it's creeping back up on me, but luckily I work from home most days.

Bad cases can affect ttc - they usually give you an op where they cut out all the scar tissue that causes the pain but the recovery time can put your ttc plans on hold, and the scar tissue grows back in about a year! Bloody lady bits!!!
The doctor recommended evening primrose oil capsules so I've just started taking those.

Hoping we've done enough this month then timing wise at least. I got a few tsps of guaifenesin in prior to ov, and I took a baby aspirin today....just for the shits and giggles.

oooo, congrats triple! Fab news. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you.

just so sorry to have made you sad with my story Sad It's bad enough me feeling upset, I didn't want to pass the crappiness on to anyone else! I'm really glad (if that's the right word...?) that you're trying out some counselling. I have really struggled with the whole mmc situation but I have found that counselling has helped me no end. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Don't get me wrong it's not a magic cure, and it's probably not for everyone, but I have found it really helpful to talk things through each week without fear of being judged. Will be thinking of you this evening and hoping that you find it as useful as I have xx

Any news pickle?

Sounds like great timing sundance fx for you in 2 weeks' time!

Is it very painful, endometriosis? Poor you. Does if affect TTC chances? x

Well done sebs!
