The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Sorry parsley-I repeat what mini says, but it's always pants.

You sound quite calm sarnie? Congrats! Fab news for the weekend. Hope you can leave us soon, iykwim Smile.

Dh doing the sperm run this morning, then we'll be on the waiting list for Hycosy and I can annoy the hospital calling for a cancellation every day

Congrats corp on the bfp! Finger crossed its a sticky one and that you have a healthy and in eventful pregnancy.

Parsley sorry for the bfn. Hoping it's maybe to early to catch the bfp.

I have ewcm going on today so I'm very excited. Mostly because this cycle (the 2nd one after mc) so far seems much more normal. However, I don't actually track ovulation other then estimating dates and monitoring cm.

Please fertility gods, let me be ovulating! Dtd on Monday and Wednesday and planning again for tonight so fingers crossed!

Metalhead · 21/02/2014 09:14

Great news Sarnie, congratulations!!

Sorry for your BFN parsley, but like others have said maybe it was just a little early to test?

Good luck with dtd tonight dues, sounds promising!

HollyBen · 21/02/2014 09:27

Congratulations sarnie Hope this is a healthy sticky bean
Sorry about bfn parsley As the others have said it ain't over........
I too am hoping to POAS next Friday triple if the post MC 11 dpo spotting doesn't start on thursday

OttersPocket · 21/02/2014 09:30

Congratulations Sarnie, we like a short stay on this thread Smile

I'm really sorry about the bfn Parsley, it never gets easier does it. FX you're not out but be kind to yourself and enjoy that beer.

Mini I'm 5dpo today too. And I've also woken up with a sore throat. No bfp required here, we're obviously upduffed Wink

I hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend? DP and I are going for dinner tonight with my Mum and partner and will tell them the not really surprising engagment news. I'm hoping they will pick up the tab and buy a bottle of champagne Grin

EnglishGirlAbroad · 21/02/2014 09:30

Congrats Sarnie, hope it's a sticky one and you have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Sorry for the bfn Parsely! Hmm

I'm also having ridiculously short af's since the mc. What's with that! Hoping taking agnus castus might sort my hormones out and get them back to normal. I've never had long one, usually 4 days but now 2! Pathetic!

MissHobart · 21/02/2014 09:44

Big Whoops for Sarnie! Grin

My last AF, first after mc was also shorter than normal, I'm not complaining though as it's gone from 6 days to 4! I hope it stays that way! Hmm

OttersPocket · 21/02/2014 10:02

I've always had really short AFs - two days max. Since the mc they've lengthened to 3/4 - go figure Hmm

Parsley2506 · 21/02/2014 11:02

Lo and behold AF is here, bang on schedule. Why did I waste that stick??? Excuse me while a disappear into a self pitying hole for the rest of the day!

sarnie I wish you a truly boring textbook pregnancy! Please let us know how it goes and no pressure to grad until you're feeling ready although I believe there's a thread just for post MC grads somewhere...

Next up, let's get one of the ttc #1 lot off this thread please! We haven't had one for quite a while???

MissHobart · 21/02/2014 11:15

Ttc #1 here, I hope it's me! Grin

CorporeSarnie · 21/02/2014 11:29

Thanks all for the congrats and wishes, I hope that we all get our baybees soon, am calmish Seasides as I don't think I will trust it this time until I've gotten past the AF time and out the other side. Am trying to decide what to do about the planned US for next month (if still pregnant will be about 5 weeks)... do I feign ignorance and use it as an unofficial reassurance scan (although it is in the Xray dept, not EPU), or do I cancel and ask for a proper reassurance scan (as I have had some implantation bleeding)?

MissHobart · 21/02/2014 11:49

Keep the appointment and use it as a reassurance scan! Grin

CorporeSarnie · 21/02/2014 12:22

The irony of my having just bought a huge number more IC sticks and a copy of Toni Weschler is not lost on me. I will probably be doing more POAS so those will definitely come in handy, and I will read the book and potentially pass it on if this one sticks. Thanks MissH, I guess by then I will only be a week or so late, and with irregular periods I could be forgiven for 'not knowing'?

JBrd · 21/02/2014 13:14

Congratulations sarnie You're welcome to join us on the grads thread, we also do quite a bit of fish-slapping there Grin
To be honest, a scan a 5 weeks is not going to be reassuring - at that stage, all they will be able to see the pregnancy location (i.e. if uterine or ectopic), but it's too early for a heartbeat. So you'd still be left worrying... I'd say, re-book for a scan at a later stage, where it will be more conclusive!

sebsmummy1 · 21/02/2014 14:32

I agree with JBrd, I would cancel that appointment and make a reassurance scan around 7 weeks if you can.

MissHobart · 21/02/2014 14:53

I'd do both, and you can just say you didn't dare hope you were actually pregnant and didn't want to miss the appointment in case you weren't. I have fx for you bit don't cancel anything yet, you never know what's going to happen and if you cancel and then the wrist happens it'll be awful to rebook and wait again. Though I of course know it's a boring sticky one! Grin

MissHobart · 21/02/2014 14:54

*wrist = worst Hmm

sebsmummy1 · 21/02/2014 15:34

Ooooh I just had some EWCM. But it wasn't good stuff it was opaque, stretchy but breaks easily bogey stuff. Wonder if it's still a good sign though.

OttersPocket · 21/02/2014 15:50

Sounds like it sebs, might be time to start with the opks? Smile

sebsmummy1 · 21/02/2014 15:56

i have the Clearblue all ready to go for tomorrow and i have taken the cellophane wrapper off the sticks box. Can you tell I'm keen lol? Grin

EnglishGirlAbroad · 21/02/2014 16:29

Errghhhh... Yet another September baby announcement. When mine would have been due HmmSad

Tutti · 21/02/2014 16:57

Got the invite englishgirlabroad thanksSmile

I know I have heard a couple of announcements too...its just the pits...

Sundance2007 · 21/02/2014 17:02

Congrats sarnie, and well done for waiting out until 'POAS Friday'!

Sorry the witch got you parsley, hope you're okay, first day of af is always the most depressing for me, so be sure to have some chocs and Wine tonight.

DH and I have caught some sort of cough bug from our friends baby last weekend - ironic given I started taking cough syrup for other purposes! So tonight will consist of me slobbing out on our corner sofa with a duvet, the dog and some Maltesers!! :)

EnglishGirlAbroad · 21/02/2014 17:05

Waves at Tutti, welcome!! Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 21/02/2014 17:05

Hope you feel better soon Sundance!
