So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good weekend. The sun is shining here in Leeds and looks like it will be a nice warm ish sunny day, so looking forward to taking DS out this afternoon. Funny thing happened when I took DS up to bed last night, he held my hand and took me into his room! Could not believe it and he managed from 8.30pm til 12.30 so I'm feeling a bit more positive, I think it's slowly coming and all being well he will be properly in his room by June!
Hi Ginger - good luck for your blood test tomorrow. My DS also throws yoghurt on the floor and throwing cups of orange juice on the floor is his fave at the moment!
Swede - best of luck for your scan tomorrow!
Hungry - how do you feel after covering your first week at work? How are you feeling about this next week? I remember when I first went back part time after having DS and I going it really tiring until I got used to it. Lucky for you you won't have to do it for long before you're off again.
Hi Toothpaste - I'm 26 weeks and 2 days, so not far in front of you. It's wizzing by isn't it?! My DS is not the best water, we have good days and bad but getting him to try new things is so hard.
Hi Kt - been thinking about you. Glad you're ok, know how tiring it is. I'm not as tired as I was at the beginning but still get very tired now at 26 weeks.
Hungry - lovely that you have started buying things. I've only bought one outfit so far, some gorgeous soft blue and white dungarees.

BetterNotBitter · 09/03/2014 19:05

Evening all!!

Hope everyone's had good weekends.

How do you feel knowing you won't be going back to work mrs? How long do you plan on being a SAHM for? I was in Leeds for years, I went to uni there and worked there for a few years afterwards. Were up near the top of Northumberland now though, around 2.5-3 hours from Leeds.

Oh I don't have a problem with anyone saying anything in either RL or on here when it's relevant to the conversation gingerbread it doesn't offend me that people have different views to me, it's just when they share them in inappropriate conversations, or when I barely even know them! Your dd sounds lovely, how old is she again? Good luck tomorrow, what time is your appt?

Ahhhh hungry I forgot about the slow leg hair growth! I had the same with dd & now I come to think of it the same this time too! Have you recovered from work yet? How are you feeling about the first full week? Yes, my scan is Thursday, I'm dreading it after my consultants appt, they didn't paint a positive picture!! Just so hoping baby has developed properly without the problems I'm more susceptible to. We'll know on thurdsay! Fingers crossed. When is your scan? Next week?

BetterNotBitter · 09/03/2014 19:07

Oh no kt poor you with the flu. How are you now?

Sounds like a bit of progress with ds mrs!

Have a feeling I've missed loads of people, so sorry if I have, hope everyone else is ok.

Kt1991 · 09/03/2014 19:19

Good luck for your scan better it's horrible when your extra worried, but try to stay positive :) what times your apt? I feel awful still :( it's crap when you can hardly take anything for it! DS has a nasty temp now too so looks like he will be staying back from nursery tomorrow I'm under strict instructions from family members that I'm not allowed into work until its all gone! I stupidly went in on thurs cause of it being short staffed wish I hadn't cause I've not improved all weekend :(

HungryHorace · 09/03/2014 20:37

Hi mrs and Better...I've been so tired this weekend. I met a friend yesterday in Liverpool for a drink and ended up asleep by 8.30! Not good. I may be dead after this week!

I'm looking forward to it though. No arsey clients to deal with for a start. :-)

I managed to sell our single pram today, which is good as I am short of cash this month, so £175 is very useful. We've also sold our holiday apartment in Windermere that we now can't use for w/c 17th. Got half our money back, so DH has the benefit of that money! Bring on 6th April and pay day for a full working month. :-)

Better, I'd be nervous in your shoes too. Totally natural. I really hope it's all OK.

My scan is 26th at 20+6. I'm seeing the consultant the same day. Hopefully he will agree to an ELCS without too much hassle.

Interesting that you have slow leg hair growth too! Wonder if it does mean anything?

Kt, sorry you're ill. I hope you're all better soon.

Mrs, how're you going to spend your time with DS now you're off? I can't believe you've only bought one item of clothing. That's restraint for you!

Good luck tomorrow, Swede. I'm sure everything is perfect. You've certainly got enough symptoms!

lovesmycake · 10/03/2014 07:47

Morning. Good luck today with your scan swede and your drs appt ginger.
yay mini mrs for going into his own room what a lovely moment that must have been for you, so nice when they 'choose' to do what you want them too :)
hope your feeling better kt its horrible not being able to take anything when your ill.
So glad work went well hungry I remember being shattered when I first went back to work and I wasn't even pg! hopefully you will get settled into your new routine soon.
We had a very busy weekend decorating our hallway, another small step in this house renovation. Im also trying to rack my brains at the moment for a good get well soon present for my 6yr old nephew he is having some medical treatment which will last for 6 weeks and be pretty painful so I’m trying to put a box together of fun things to do and failing so far, if you guys have any ideas they would be very much appreciated.
Apart from that I’m definitely not wishing the next 11 days go super fast with a bfp at the end …………

mrsm22 · 10/03/2014 11:29

Hi everyone, had a good weekend. We took my DS to knaresborough for the afternoon with my mum and dad. The weather was gorgeous and it was a really nice day.
Hi Better - you went to uni in Leeds...did u enjoy living in Leeds? How long have you been in Northumberland? I don't really have a plan for how long I will stay at home but I'd like to stay at home until both DS's are at school. My DS will start school in September 2016. He'll be the older end of the year unlike my DS to come who will be the younger and of the year. I'm enjoying being at home. So far, just had my first week at home last week we have done things like go to the park and different playgrounds and things.
Good luck to all today with appointments and scans and will await the update. x

SwedeAway · 10/03/2014 11:37

Helloooo all!
So had a fabulous scan today. Surprise surprise but there was actually a baby in there!! Got a very clear pic of the little one wriggling around like crazy. Also got to hear the heart beat, absolutely amazing!
But my due date has now been moved again, seems that it is hard to determine first day of last period due to the mc. So my new due date is the 16th October (two days before DD's birthday:)). Feel very pleased that all seems to be ok. Next scan will be the 10th April when I am going for the downs syndrome etc tests. I am one happy Swede today!

Congratulations Swede! That's fantastic news.

lovesmycake · 10/03/2014 15:38

lovely news swede :)

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 10/03/2014 15:49

Hurray Swede!! Oh I am so glad for you. So how many weeks does that put you at?

cake how are you doing my cycle buddy? Grin I only have about 6 days left to wait though. I have been feeling exhausted recently, but obviously it is far too early for any symptoms! Re your present, hmm, is he into colouring? Or books? Some little puzzles would be good, help to take his mind off of things.

mrs your weekend sounds lovely, how amazing is this weather!! Sorry to those of you not getting it....Hmm brilliant news with your DS' bedtime. Let's hope he keeps it up.

kt sorry you've been unwell, hope you are starting to feel a bit brighter now and getting plenty of rest.

Better my DD is 2 and 4 months. She is such a character. Huge good luck to you for your scan, hope it all goes swimmingly.

I had my appointment this morning, was just a quick one with the nurse to take some blood though. Not sure if the Dr will contact me or I need to make an app with them, the nurse said if the results were 'normal' then they wouldn't get in touch with me, but surely whatever happens I'll need a follow up appointment...and the results won't be normal anyway as it was the wrong bloody day! Sigh. Watch this space I guess.

morerummorefun · 10/03/2014 15:55

swede great news! must be a relief finally see your little bean Grin.
mrs brilliant 1st steps to the big bed move once he thinks its his idea hell be off like a shot!
gingerbread good luck at the docs x
welcome tatty and good luck ttc!
hungry how is dd's teething?
kt hope you feel better soon x
sorry if ive missed anyone ive currently got the worst heartburn ever think I'll be giving birth to a wee monkey if it keeps up Sad im off to drink some peptac liquid x

BetterNotBitter · 10/03/2014 16:49

How long will it take for the results gingerbread? I'm so hoping for a BFP for you in 6 days so hopefully the results will become redundant. I also have a character for a 2 yr old, she's 2 and 302 months so not much behind you. Can't believe how much of a little person she's growing in to!

Great news swede , you can start to allow yourself excitement now. All bring well on Thursday I'll join you in the excited club!

Hooe you're doing abit better kt how's your ds?

I don't know re leg hair hungry it made me curious enough to google old wives tales re baby sex & by the boxes I can tick of each list, I'm having half boy half girl! So thoroughly inconclusive. Have you got much left to buy? I haven't made our baby list yet, waiting for the all clear on Thursday. Hope your works been ok today.

How's your day been today mrs? That's pretty much my plan too, stay at home until all children are at school. I've just started an open uni degree though to allow for a career change when the times right. I loved loved loved Leeds, still have lots of good friends there & I do miss it. I'm originally from Northumberland, just moved down to Leeds for uni, all my family and best friends are here plus my husband is from here too so when we found out I was pregnant with dd we set the wheels in motion to move back up here. Which is how we were able to accommodate me being a SAHM as we sold our Leeds house and bought our house up here based on only having my husbands income. If we'd stayed in Leeds I would have had to keep working as we had a much bigger house etc so needed my income too.

How are you other than the heartburn morerum?

CallingAllEngels · 10/03/2014 17:13

Great news swede

Ov here! The next 2 weeks are going to go very slowly!

HungryHorace · 10/03/2014 17:28

Excellent news, Swede. Does that make you 8 weeks' pregnant?

Gingerbread, maybe make an appt with your GP anyway to talk about the results? It can always be cancelled when your ironic BFP comes this month! :-)

Better, I've nothing left to buy now. It's all sorted. We didn't need too much anyway. Though maybe I'll need more cot bed bedding for when they're both in the nursery. That can wait though.

I'm having a 50:50 baby too. Great, isn't it?!

I'm exhausted after a full day at work. I'm hoping it'll get better as I also feel sick. :-(

I've had kicks though, which is good!

Hi everyone else too!

BetterNotBitter · 10/03/2014 17:52

hungry your feeling sick supports our theory of lack of sickness so far being due to being at home & lifestyle!! Although I'm sorry you feel rubbish of course!! Kicks are lovely too! I can't believe you have nothing left to buy, I feel very behind! We've literally not bought one thing yet!

HungryHorace · 10/03/2014 19:26

I just wanted it all done and dusted so I can just forget about it!

The isofix base and mattress came today, and we've had the cot bed a few weeks now. They're all the big items, along with the double pram.

I'm buying two boxes of nappies a month for a while too so we have enough 'stock' to see us through the first few months!

And yes, Better, it does, doesn't it. As we suspected. :-)

Baby is having a wriggle now. It's lovely!

DD has the reddest, roughest cheeks going, poor thing. I wish her top teeth would just come through now as she's really suffering.

Toothpastekissesno2 · 10/03/2014 20:37

Yay swede that's fantastic! Over the moon for u.
Ginger what were the tests for? Think I missed that.
Cake - what about some sock puppets to make? Nice idea to make a box.
So my leg hair is slow too! What is that supposed to mean? I've only vaguelly been aware of it but u mentioning it makes me realise that's it's def the case! Who knows what they are having?
I have a feeling we are due another bfp!!!

HungryHorace · 10/03/2014 20:46

Toothpaste, it apparently means girl. We shall see though.

And I've a feeling you may be right!

lovesmycake · 11/03/2014 09:02

oooh sock puppets brilliant idea I have lots of spare material I can include in the box :)
ginger do you have 6 days till AF is due or till you can test?
I have one lonely clearblue in the drawer and I rather stupidly optimistically think I can wait till AF is late to POAS. Anyone want to take bets on when I crumble and head to the pharmacy for some overpriced FRE'rs!
I want to know who will be finding out what they are having too if not can we guess Grin

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 11/03/2014 09:17

I think only mrs knows what she's having? (a boy!)
Cake I have 6 days til AF is due, due on on 17th, DHs birthday Angry, Going to a party saturday night though so will POAS in the morning to see if I can drink or not, haven't really been 'trying' this month ( we have, just trying not to think we have in the hope it brings me a BFP..) so I fully expect bfn. Good luck with waiting!! When is AF due for you?
toothpaste they were the day21 blood tests, testing for LH, FSH and progesterone levels, and any thyroid issues. It was marked 'secondary infertility' in the notes Sad
Brilliant news engels! You've waited so long so I hope the next 2 weeks fly by for you.
Hope everyone is ok.

lovesmycake · 11/03/2014 10:47

AF due on the 21st but not coming this month cos i'm thinking positive :) They have to write something on the notes it doesn't mean anything just a way of filling in all the boxes on the form i'm sure.

SwedeAway · 11/03/2014 12:03

Hungry - Yes I am 8 + 5 today. DH is convinced it's a boy, but I honestly do not have a clue. This pg is so different to my previous one but I am not sure if that is because a. its my second, b. I am older, or c. its a ds? Only time will tell.
Asked gyno yesterday when he will be able to tell me if its pink or blue and he said that if I want to find out then the professor who is going to do my downs testing, will probably be able to see at 13 weeks!!? If not then gyno will be able to tell me at 16 week scan. Not that I care what it is to be honest. Just want to get through the next 4 weeks to reach the 12 week mark which will make me feel less stressed.
Still buzzing from hearing the heart beat though:)

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 11/03/2014 21:59

Hi everyone,
Ginger - yes I think it is just me who knows what sex they're having, and I'm thrilled about another boy. I wouldn't have been able to wait to find out! Glad your appointment was ok, even if just a blood test, maybe Hungry is right and you should book a follow up with the gp to discuss ... That's if you don't get your BFP beforehand. I really hope you get your BFP soon! Your DD and my DS are the same age, my DS is two years and 2 months too. Is your DD into everything?
Hungry - look hue organised you are! Buying nappies each month isn't actually a bad idea, I hadn't thought of that. I have made a start going through old baby clothes and seeing which will do for new baby and have made a start washing them and putting then away in baby wardrobe. Mostly sleep suits and little vests in 0-3 months. Then I can work out his much I need to buy. Are you still feeling tired from work.
Morerum - how's the heartburn? I have had a bit but not been too bad with that.
Hi Better - where was your house in Leeds? I'm just wondering if you were anywhere near me. I've never been to Northumberland but it sounds like you're very happy and settled there. I'm from Leeds and so is my DH, although my DH lived in York before we got together. I went to uni in York actually and did my first degree there and then a Masters degree, so I'm hoping when I go back to work eventually that I may be able to use that although my line of work now is not at all related to my two degrees. What did you study at uni? It's amazing and very impressive that you're doing a degree with the open university, how do you/will you find the time? What is that in? I studied English Literature. I think is quite like to study psychology if I could go back but I don't think i 'd have time now.

BetterNotBitter · 12/03/2014 08:23

How is dds teething hungry? And how are you finding work this week?

You can wait till it's late to test loves!! It's the best way! Although I know hungry will not be happy with my discouraging as much poas action as possible.....sorry!!

I suppose they have to write something by way of explanation in the notes gingerbread but still horrible to see it written there. How are you doing?

So are you going to find out what you're having when you can then swede? The jury is still out on whether we are, 24 hours to decide!

Do you have anything big to buy mrs? Presuming all is well at the scan I'm going to make our list tomorrow night. Obviously there'll be bits and pieces like clothes but we also have quite a few bigger things we want too. When I say we, I probably mean I.....! I used to live in Ilkley mrs so a little out of Leeds but great train line into work and I just loved the area. My degree from Leeds uni was in 'international business and finance' which was very boring and quite hard but got me a good job. Problem was, I didn't like the job! I'm doing a childhood and education one with the open uni this time. I'm only 3 months in but so far finding time has been ok, finding it harder as the tiredness from pregnancy increases & the first module finishes in July (when baby is due) so planning to have a 6 month break before starting the next part as imagine it'll be virtually impossible with a newborn & toddler too.
